2. MY BRIEF
For my coursework I have been asked to create a
music magazine, and I need to include the front
cover, the contents page and a double page
spread.
I will have to use Photoshop to manipulate the
images and InDesign for the page layout and design
features on the contents page and the article.
All of the images and text that I use has to be
produced by me and nobody else, and I will need to
use a minimum of four images.

3. FRONT COVER EXAMPLES
These are some example of music magazine covers and this gives me an idea of
what I might want my magazine to be like. All of these magazine have well known
artists on their front cover, which makes the magazine stand out to the audience.

waist upwards or a full shot
or the person. This gives me
an idea of how I would set
out my contents page and
you can tell that all of these
pages are the contents as it
is clearly labelled at the top

music articles and on
the double spread
pages on one side
there is an image of
the artist and on the
other side it is an
article about them.

6. WHY HAVE I CHOSEN VIBE?
The magazine that I have
chosen to use as examples is
‘VIBE’ magazine.
I have chosen VIBE magazine
because I think that it is very
unique and I really like the front
covers that they produce.
I think that I could create a
front cover that is similar to that
and it would be very interesting
and I would enjoy producing it.
