In regards to the planning, that had taken place under the pre-production phase, it had evidently become
an extremely supportive and beneficial component into producing an amazing end product, of which
should be displayed by the end of the project to all via YouTube. Initially it is important to recognize that
without a sufficient amount of planning involved in the production of your music video, there will be a clear
lack of organization, quality, and engagement throughout the video that you will produce (that's if you are
able to create an end product); otherwise, it will strongly portray a poor quality build to the video you
produce, whether that's through the footage you gather or structure displayed, and portray an
unprofessional, unorganized representation of myself towards the audience watching, of which is an
obvious unintentional imitation of me.
Firstly, the strengths under planning. Under this category the strengths primarily up hear from portraying a
good representation of myself, and displaying respectable organization skills. Having set a good
representation of myself and presenting values of good organizational skills, are both key aspects to hold
throughout my audience, this is primarily because it allows a sense of trust between myself and the
viewers, of which generally means they will regularly approach and engage in future videos across the
channel. Furthermore, it also may result in an advancement of recognition across the platform, evidently
causing a larger interest into the wider audiences of which is very beneficial; but also in creating more
possibilities, such as through a collaboration or paid promotions, of which engage and bring in different
audience backgrounds. Evidently the strengths stated are effective in bringing in the wider audiences, as
for it is much more engaging for the viewers alongside developing a trustworthy connection between
myself and the outer audience; even though all previously mentioned aspects may seem very good, it is
important to recognize that it has greatly improved the rate of which the product has been produced and
promoted, meaning that in conclusion, planning is essential to include within the production of any product
when it is available across the public and world as a whole.

4. PLANNING - CONTINUED
Secondly, the weaknesses in my planning. Under this category the weaknesses primarily up hear
from the majority of it being delayed until a further date. Unfortunately I have to singularly isolate
this as the one and only weakness, this is generally because may planning was predominantly very
accurate and detailed, alongside covering all of the different aspects required in this stage, all of
which are suitable reasons to why this weakness was distinctive and unique in its own reasoning.
Anyways, due to some of the planning required for filming being delayed, this evidently meant that
a prevention into the filming phase was present; restricting myself from moving onwards into the
project proved a significant impact on the whole rest of the project, as for the timed schedule was
scrapped and that future work that is essential to do (such as the evaluation) would be done is
spare time, whilst closing in on the deadline.
In regards to improve/prevent this for occurring in future events, the most effective way would be to
just simply stick to the pre-planned scheduled/resume; however, in the case of being unable to do
so in the allotted amount of time remaining, whether that's because I'm writing in too much depth or
because I had been previously lacking in the attitude toward the production, another option
generally appears around producing the required work in my own spare time or through following a
specific structure across all of the working in progress ideas, this would help generate the
necessary information at a quicker, yet also efficient pace.

5. TIME MANAGEMENT
In regards towards the whole of the project, from pre-production planning to the editing phase, I
strongly believe that the management in my time throughout the music video production was
lacking, and predominantly not managed to a suitable standard that was expected from my peers.
Even Though some aspects, primarily under the planning and editing components necessary, were
managed and structured to a very good standard at a consistent rate; other factors, such as the
filming, evaluation and research sections, evidently displayed a lack of time management through
having some unfinished and untouched work up to a week after I had planned to have already
finished them. This predominantly creates a very unprofessional and uncaring attitude in the
representation of myself, further portraying me as a poor influencer within the music industry and
my audience, of which is an unintentional bad aspect, meaning a lack of engagement will be
present.
In conclusion, I believe in having completed the work required on time during lessons (of which I
hadn't done so) would have achieved the standard my pers are looking for; however, not to an
outstanding form of which I had wanted to expect across all of my work produced, and is the end
goal in my circumstances.
If I had more time to produce my work, I strongly think that it would have been to an outstanding
level, of which would get myself top marks and I would have been proud of. Don't get me wrong,
the work I have produced is amazing, but I think I could have done better with additional time.

6. TECHNICAL QUALITIES -
CAMERASimilarities: Initially it is evident in both of the different shots here that a side view
of somebody running is present; alongside, also the dress codes and purposes
are similar, through the defined dark clothing dress codes and action/narrative
displayed, as both figures are running away from an unknown source, evolving
the sense of mystery and threatening atmosphere in both.
Differences: Even though both may seem very similar in the aesthetic, different
color gradients and shot types are used; this primarily coming under the pure
gradient, long shot and freehand camera movement in shot A, differing
significantly in comparison to shot B where an extreme long shot, static camera
movement, and natural source gradient is evidently used. All of which help
establish the unique style and portrayal both music videos are wanting to present
throughout their different audiences.
Similarities: Initially it is evident in both sources that a centered extreme long
shot, denoting a hallway of some sort, is displayed; alongside, both also are
purposefully used to creating a threatening yet isolated atmosphere throughout
their audiences, of which effectively portrays the music videos narrative and
different shots throughout.
Differences: Even though once again both shots may seem very similar
aesthetically, different color gradients and visual video effects are used on the
footage; this primarily comes under the pure gradient and a blurry visual effect in
shot A, differing significantly against a black and white gradient and no visual
effects integrated within shot B. Furthermore, shot B in having no visual effects
incorporated into the recording is effective in clearly portraying the location

7. TECHNICAL QUALITIES –
EDITING/POSTSimilarities: Initially it is evident in both of the different music videos here, that in
regards to editing, a lot of quick cutting is present; this is predominantly the only
transitions used throughout the whole the music video in shot A, this is similar to
the music video in shot B, as for quick cutting is an effective and essential part in
one of the section of the video. Both use it effectively to engage the audience.
Differences: Having only used a simple quick cutting transition in the music video
from shot A, the helps define a difference between the two sources, as for the
music video in shot B predominantly uses a flashes transition in the slower parts of
the video. Both use transitions productively to make it much more engaging and
effective, through predominantly cutting it to the beat of the music, however this is
a significant difference between the two music video, and it is evident throughout
both.
Similarities: Initially it is evident that in both of the different music videos here, in
regards towards editing, a slow motion video effect is installed within both, creating
a sense of engagement in the different shots its present upon, whilst also moving
onwards the narrative present. Throughout the whole of the music video from shot
A a slow motion effect is displayed, whether that denoting the figure walking,
running, or standing still ti is there, this is similar to music video from shot B, where
slow ,motion effect an displayed at a various amount of different scenes
throughout, primarily when walking.
Differences: Having used a slow motion effect throughout the whole of the music
video from shot A, this differs against the music video from shot B, as for the slow
motion effect is predominantly present at a various amount of different scenes and
shots. Even though used differently, they both still effectively create an engaging
and aesthetically pleasing sense to the music video, grabbing the attention of its

scheme for most of it giving a very cool vibe. I also really like how

 I like the shots and cinematography. I like the song choice with the
black and white filter. They mix really well.

 Most of the intros to shots were all the same. It started to lose its
imagination and creative feel that it had the first time round. It
switches from black and white to normal colour and back to black
and white and this feels confusing.

In regards towards the feedback gathered from my nearby peers, majority of the time I disagree with
some of the statements; otherwise they seem very beneficial in improving my music video produced and
could help efficiently with the narrative that's stated throughout. Initially, an aspect that seems to occur
regularly through the feedback gathered consists of switches in the overall color scheme from scene to
scene and shot to shot. Predominantly I had used this switch for the vivid colors to black and white in
representing an attempt to push away the mental health struggles around the main character and
primarily helps express his feelings towards the audience; however, after a judgement in the feedback
received, it seems evident that it can be ‘confusing’ and shows a lack of imagination through my audience.
Originally it seemed effective in engaging my audience, of which it still does, whilst also effectively
portraying the narrative that is present throughout; but i can understand the reasoning behind it being
confusing; and so in the case of this occurrence, regarding improvements to be made, I would change this
by predominantly making all of the separate scene a solid color scheme. Furthermore, to maintain an
understanding of the narrative after this change, another technique would have to be implied, ensuring it
is easy to fathom as the audience.
Furthermore, another piece of feedback that seems beneficial in changing within my music video comes
under including a small title card. Currently there is a slight introduction to my music video, displaying a
bunch of isolated locations of which a figure is present within; by adding a title card it may show a clearer
understanding into the narrative, as for ‘In My Mind’ is closely relatable against mental health, but most
importantly may reflect a film trailer, portraying a much more professional product, but also displays that
there is a clear narrative within, engaging and letting my audience show more of an understanding into the
video itself; this predominantly creates more of a connection between myself and the viewers, evidently
showing how it would be effective and very beneficial.

In regards towards the feedback that I had gathered from my nearby peers, a reoccurring theme
had appeared across the majority of the replied, this coming under the regular color stitches being
slightly confusing, alongside this repetition reflects a lack of imagination. Even Though I do
strongly believe that this visual effect is effective in engaging the audience, yet also in portraying
the narrative; however, due to a recurring theme here, it seems suitable to change this based upon
it regularly occur, this is primarily because as the producer of the video, I need to suit the needs of
my audience, and if this is want they require to make it more approachable than so be it.
Furthermore, I do also think that to include a title sequence would be beneficial to use within my
music video. Also it may reflect a film trailer throughout my audience, portraying a much more
professional product, but also displays that there is a clear narrative within, engaging and letting
my viewers show more of an understanding into the video itself; this predominantly creates more
of a connection between myself and the viewers, evidently showing how it would be effective and
very beneficial.
