• What were the strengths of your research?
The main strength that I discovered was that I found a suitable song who’s genre matches up with the
song I chose, as well that it has a meaning within and it gave my inspiration for my song.
• How did your research help your product?
My research helped my product in a way that it back up my choice of the song heavily, because I soon
discovered a story within a song is a story to be hearted for life, take it in consideration and embrace it,
in other words, the research helped me with what to include in a heartfelt story.
• What were the weaknesses of your research?
The weaknesses however was deciding on a song that would suit my story perfectly, however, it instantly
sprung to my mind that non believer describes a life story very deeply, and that tone is the exact tone
level I require.
• What could you have done better/improve?
I could have improves by adding another song for my case study, explore a much more variety on the
same genre but a different element enticed within.
• What effect would this have had on your product?
This research has had a great effect on my work in a way that the song that I have chosen is a high fit to
my story, and that it narrates it well.
• What research did I conduct?/What helped?
I created a case study so that I could collect all together with the same genre about the terminology,
choreography of that genre and the ‘branding’ of the artist(s). Thanks to this research, I found that the
best dance comes from the heart and soul of the story, as well as in internal spirit of the song, in other
words, the choreography is enticed with the song in this particular genre, which is pop.

4. PLANNING
• What were the strengths of your planning?
The strengths of my planning were that I knew exactly what I wanted to produce, and that
theses plans help me to develop them in a more configurated finalisation. Another strength is
that it helped me think of what kind of shots I wanted as well as the location I had planned to
film, more importantly, it helped my sort out the formalities such as the permission slips etc.
• How did your planning help your product?
My planning helped my product in a way where it supported my idea and made me feel
confident about my idea when the time came to film.
• What were the weaknesses of your planning?
The weaknesses however was thinking about the atmosphere I would be filming in, like I didn’t
want to disturb others and mad them feel embarrassed in my film, so I found a time where I
can film in quite locations: lesson time.
• What could you have done better/improve?
I could improve by adding more about the audience appeal and how they would be affected by
it. Also I could improve by adding more initial sketches that gives the examiner the initial idea
I was going for.
• What effect would this have had on your product?
The planning has had a major effect on my work in a way that is was the mock up of my idea
and that I experimented on how I wanted my work to turn out, a bit like a prototype test.

5. My schedule and my call sheet were
documents which were very helpful with
the construction of the video in terms of
organization and clarity, for example, in
the case of an emergency or I need help
filming, I knew I had Harry's email and
phone number to contact him.

6. TIME MANAGEMENT
• Did you manage your time well?
I did manage my time well, I managed to hand my video in on time and there was no delays or further issues with uploading, other than
to say, I was worried with the copyright claim but I was reassured in the end. In terms of filming, my schedule was evenly spread out so
that I could film on a Monday and a Wednesday, so that on the Tuesday in between, I could reflect on my last performance and see if
there needs to be any improvements with the next day of shooting. Because I needed to get my video completed before the deadline, I
needed to film my video as soon as possible, so I started the filming process early, thanks to Harry's free time, I was able to complete my
filming in the suggested time limit of the project. This meant that my project was completed on time
• Did you complete your project on time or would your products have improved with additional time?
I completed my project in the right amount of time, which is the deadline, and if I have additional time, I wouldn’t need it because I am
pretty satisfied with my work as it is.
• What would you have done if you had more time to produce your work
I would recheck a few times more in order to make sure it is good and if so, refilm some scenes for those that are blurry that need to be
replaced.

Similarities
They both contain different angle shots as well as a single person
the song is mainly focusing on. Also they both mainly have shot
that have a clear view from the camera.
Differences
My video is set at my educational place: York College. Also some
of the shots are a bit blurry, unlike the real video that is clear
throughout.

8. Similarity: They both have a very depressing tone within. Also, they both have a landscape shot. They both have no one in for the first few chords, and when
they do come in, the characters look like they are concentrating
Difference: They are filmed at different locations, mine is set at York College, whilst the real deal is set near a field and a pylon. Also they are filmed at different
times of day. The darkness in the original supports the depressing tone, I wish mine would have been the same but it would be difficult to film at night.

the video such as adding the song to the video clips and shortening
out the outtakes so they are not included. They both use the
special effects to make the scenery look abnormal. The effects are
both bright and colourful. Finally, they both use quick cuts that

Mine has a effect where the ghost of Lucky appears, this is a PNG and
needed no green screen for the production. Mine has a piece of text whilst
the original has no text at all.

10. AESTHETIC QUALITIES
I believe that my work looks fairly good in
a way that it inspires those to consider
about others who have similar issues.
I could’ve improved by making sure
that my camera lens is focused and
not all blurry so that it appears nice
and clear. Also, I could improve by
adding more variety of angle shots
to make it more touching and
dramatic, so it literally makes your
heart melt, which is the intention.
I do believe it was creative in a different way
where you experience something that not
everybody experiences.
I would make the improvements by
checking the camera’s focus and
adjust it to a clear level, as for the
angle shots, I should experiment
with the tripod more so that I can
get a better idea of what the
different angles would look like in
order to make it successful.
The strengths of this video is mainly how it turned out, cause I knew exactly what kind of
angle I needed the video to be seen, and my friend Harry managed to get it right, I thank
him for that. The weakness however was that there was some few alterations to the scenery
such as the library because I didn’t want to get others in the shot or else it would cause
distress.

11. AUDIENCE APPEAL
I do believe that I have appealed my
audience because teens abnormally go
through theses situations.
Finally, another part that
would make the audience
go wild is the different
shots because some may be
studying the same course as
me so they may or may not
be impressed.
I would say the best parts of the video that
appeal the audience would be the song because it
seems a bit mature because young kids wont
understand.
Another part that appeals the
audience is that it takes part in
an adult form of education: a
college, which is advanced
education so children will not
have a single idea where it is
and what it’s about.
Another part that would intrigue the audience is the special effects, since at a teens age,
some may believe in ghosts and some may not, it’s their own opinion because they would
got a better understanding of death and the afterlife, so there is a question whether ghosts
are real or not. The audience who listen to London Grammar’s songs would be intrigued
because they are listening to a familiar track.

I don’t disagree with anything that the peer feedbacks have implied, they are
right that only a few minor tweaks could be changed

What I would change in my work is the level of focus of the camera, next time before filming, I
will check the focus of the camera and made sure the image is clear and not blurry, as for the
information of the story, I will add in the description of the video on YouTube what the story is all
about so that they can understand as they watch it.
