Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.

1. Production Log
I feel like the filming went really well as I got all the shots I need to for
my video as I stuck to my shotlist.
I used a blue screen which I am hoping turns out good when editing. I
feel that the shots with the blue screen could have been better as I
really like the shots with the berries.
I filmed on Tuesday the 13th
from 10am-3pm, Friday the16th
from 6pm-
7pm and Sunday the 18th
from 11-11.30 on thebeach.
There were no issues with the location as I used 1 of the 2 locations for
each scene, for the scenein the garden I used the kitchen instead.
There were no problems with the public as the only public place I filmed
in was the beach whereeveryonewas spread out.
The main problemwhilst filming was the weather at the beach, it was
cold, windy and rainy at the beach which made it harder to film with my
camera. Another problem at the beach was the sand being blown
around which could have damaged the camera.
I had to use my contingency plan as the weather wasn’tgood enough to
film in the garden.
I stuck to the schedule as planned meaning I had enough to film
everything on the Tuesday and then film the slow-motion video on the
Friday.
I filmed all the shots in 24 frames per second and then filmed the slow-
motion shots in 50 frames per second.

2. I have arranged my shots to fit into the 6 verses/choruses and have
linked some to the lyrics.
As I have used a blue screen, I have used the ultra-key effect to get rid of
the blue background and change it for a plain background.
I have cut the shots between each line, however I haven’tbeen able to
cut on all the beats as there are gaps between lines and the song is quite
slow.
I have used photoshop to add animations to a few shots to replace the
performers.
I have used split screen twice to show the same style shots at once.
When I was adding the split screen, I didn’t haveenough tracks so I
needed another video track
When I add new files, they have audio so I had to mute those tracks so
you can only hear the music. I also had to stop the output of the audio
video as it isn’t needed.
3. I have had to add lots more video tracks – I ended up with 9
