GIRLS GO TO
HELL
• The main focus of this video is based on the theme of
hell as it is shown as dark and has a continuous
theme of fire which symbolizes hell. Billie is seen as a
black angel which shows suggests danger and is
creepy.
• Long shot is used in the video as it helps to see the
setting of the video and can get an idea of what the
music video is about. I will use this camera work in
my music video so that you can see straight away
what the theme of the music video is.
• Close up shot is used throughout the video to show
her emotion in the video. In the video Billie has black
ink running down her face so a close up shot helps to
keep the creepy theme.
• A technique used in the video is when the
beat/chorus starts the fire in the background gets
bigger which creates more of the focus to be on the
background and shows viewers the main and exciting
part of the video is.

BAD GUY
• This music video is the music video I am most likely
to base my music video off as it is more fun and
colourful compared to her other videos.
• A technique used in the music video is that when
the beat/chorus starts more action happens, I would
like to include this technique in my music video as it
makes the video come across more fun and exciting
and makes it more enjoyable for the audience to
watch.
• The same camera shot were used in this one as well
as the previous video.
• A close shot is used when she is singing into the
camera and makes the video more serious, this
makes the video easier to follow and needs less
attention. I will use close up shots to fill space in my
video.
• Long shot is used again to help set the scene or to
show what is happening in the music video.

• This song is older than the previous videos so from this
you are able to see the change in music.
• The music video has been edited to a higher saturation
which gives the suggestion that the video is more
happier. This is an idea I may use in my music video to
show my music video is happy and make sure my
audience will enjoy it.
• Long shots are also used in the music video to show
setting and background this is a camera angle I am
going to use to help my audience connect better with
the video.

• The music video is very simple.
• The main camera movement is panning, I will use
this technique as it helps to show different objects
or locations of the music video.
• The music video is in slow motion as the song is sad
and slow the music video is slow as it helps link
together. Although the song I am planning on using
isn’t sad it is slow so I will use this technique in my
music video to help it link with the song and make
different cuts throughout the video.

BURY A FRIEND
• This video is dark and creepy which is a theme Billie
usually goes with.
• There is a lot of movement in this video, I would
like to include movement in my music video as I
think it makes it more fun and more interesting to
watch.
• The video repeats the video from the start a lot
throughout the video, I will repeat some of my clips
to make the video seem longer but to also help
make my video all fit together nicely.
• The only camera techniques is panning or slowly
moving, which I also would like to include as I think
it makes my video look effortless but also complex.

Potential techniques
• Cutting the music to the song. This is a main technique I want to use
as I need my music video and my lyric to fit together so that
everything makes sense and it is all able to link together. It will be
easy to follow if everything is where is should be and will not need
the audience to pay as much attention.
• Intertexuality is another technique I will use as I want to it to be
similar to other storytelling music videos and bring back memories
to the audience and give them a chance to create the story in their
heads.
Conventions you plan to use
• Different camera angles is a convention I plan to use.
• Long shot will be the most used as I will use it to set the scene of the
story and it helps to show what sort of scene it is going to be and can
create emotions for the audience.
• Medium shot is another shot I will use to show the people in the
video and also help to show the feelings and emotions shown by the
people in the video.
• Close up shot will be used in my music video. This links with medium
shot as I will use a close up shot to show the characters emotions and
help to create an image and feelings for the audience.

• With the fair only being on for a few days a restriction is that I may
need more footage but not be able to get there.
• It being too busy is a restriction as this could cause me to have mad
footage or not enough
• Filming on my phone gives me restriction as I could not get the best
quality.

restrictions whilst editing.

A music video to accompany the release of "Sunset Lover" was first
released onto YouTube on the 8th of September 2016 at a total length
of 3 minutes and 36 seconds.
Genre info = Indie-pop, DJ
Final idea – track summary
• Petit Biscuit boiled his tune down to just a few elements: a guitar
line, mostly single notes with space between each one; a hand-clap;
a basic kick drum; a pitch-shifted-and-chopped vocal that sounds like
a baby experimenting with speech for the first time.
• It climbed to No. 13 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Even
though the track is instrumental, fans are so enamored with it that
you can Google "Sunset Lover lyrics" and find that people have
invented some words to help them sing along.
Final idea – your idea
• My final idea is going to be a video of me and my friends. There
is a fair that happens in our village and we like to go every year.
It is only little so it is safe and not very busy.
• I am going to use the song sunset lover by petit biscuit, I chose
this song because it is upbeat but also chilled at the same time.
I also think that the song will go well with my song as the music
video will be the main focus.
• I want the video to be fun and colourful as it will link with the
song and give it a happy view. The cover photo for the song is
bright so I will link the music video with the theme of the song
cover. To add the colour into my video I am going to add clips of
bright sunsets, with the song being called ‘sunset lover’ having
those clips will link the video more with the song and also bring
colour into it.
• The song starts off slow so I will make my video slow to fit with
the song and as the song speeds up my video will speed up so
that the story is being told and it is all in time.
TASK 2
Pre-production Assessment
Locations
• The cost that is needed for the music video will be the money
for the fair rides which are ÂŁ2 a ride so not much money will be
needed to create this video. The main part of the video will be
filmed at night but if some parts need reshooting then it will
have to be done during the day which will also need a cost for
food. In the village there is local shops and restaurants so food
will be close by.
• The distance is not far for my music video as it is close by and
easy to get to. My friends who are included are able to drive
and there is also easy transport to get there if needed.
• I will check in advance for the weather and if it will be suitable
for the music video. If the weather is a problem then I can
shoot on another day where the weather is better, with the
location not being far I am able to get there easily.
Equipment
• I have a camera of my own which allows me to record my music
video which I will take to film with. I will make sure to take with me
extra batteries and SD card
• I also have my phone that I can footage off and also film on just in
case any problems happen.
• All the equipment at college has been booked up so having this
equipment helps me complete my work.
Facilities
• I will edit my video on the college computer on Premiere Pro so the
facilities I will need are all in one place
• My phone as this is the main thing I will be filming on. I need to make
sure I have enough battery or a backup plan if not.
Personnel
• My team is my friends, they do not come to college so my
music video will be taken in my own time. There is 5 of us and
we all have different looks and personalities. My crew is
available on weekends, they all live close by and some can drive
so it makes it easier for us to travel to places we need to go.
• Yes I do have external performers which are my friends. They
are all available on weekends mainly Saturdays. The only cost
that will be needed for my music is money for the rides at the
fair but they are not expensive. If filming takes longer and food
is needed we will be able to access food or go places to eat.
They can all drive and there is easy transport to where they all
live so transport is easy.
• No one other than my friends will be helping me with my video
as I will be filming it.

• There is no costume needed for my video as no characters are
needed so the people seen in my video will be in their own clothes.

Locations
This is where most of my video was filmed. This is where the fair was. This is a village
near my village, I went to school here and its where all my friends live. The fair
happens once a year and we always try to go.
No permission was needed to film here as it is a public and friendly area and anyone is
welcome.
My friends are my cast and were all happy to help throughout the video.

  • 5. BILLIE EILISH ALL THE GOOD GIRLS GO TO HELL
  • 6. • The main focus of this video is based on the theme of hell as it is shown as dark and has a continuous theme of fire which symbolizes hell. Billie is seen as a black angel which shows suggests danger and is creepy. • Long shot is used in the video as it helps to see the setting of the video and can get an idea of what the music video is about. I will use this camera work in my music video so that you can see straight away what the theme of the music video is. • Close up shot is used throughout the video to show her emotion in the video. In the video Billie has black ink running down her face so a close up shot helps to keep the creepy theme. • A technique used in the video is when the beat/chorus starts the fire in the background gets bigger which creates more of the focus to be on the background and shows viewers the main and exciting part of the video is.
  • 8. • This music video is the music video I am most likely to base my music video off as it is more fun and colourful compared to her other videos. • A technique used in the music video is that when the beat/chorus starts more action happens, I would like to include this technique in my music video as it makes the video come across more fun and exciting and makes it more enjoyable for the audience to watch. • The same camera shot were used in this one as well as the previous video. • A close shot is used when she is singing into the camera and makes the video more serious, this makes the video easier to follow and needs less attention. I will use close up shots to fill space in my video. • Long shot is used again to help set the scene or to show what is happening in the music video.
  • 10. • This song is older than the previous videos so from this you are able to see the change in music. • The music video has been edited to a higher saturation which gives the suggestion that the video is more happier. This is an idea I may use in my music video to show my music video is happy and make sure my audience will enjoy it. • Long shots are also used in the music video to show setting and background this is a camera angle I am going to use to help my audience connect better with the video.
  • 12. • The music video is very simple. • The main camera movement is panning, I will use this technique as it helps to show different objects or locations of the music video. • The music video is in slow motion as the song is sad and slow the music video is slow as it helps link together. Although the song I am planning on using isn’t sad it is slow so I will use this technique in my music video to help it link with the song and make different cuts throughout the video.
  • 14. • This video is dark and creepy which is a theme Billie usually goes with. • There is a lot of movement in this video, I would like to include movement in my music video as I think it makes it more fun and more interesting to watch. • The video repeats the video from the start a lot throughout the video, I will repeat some of my clips to make the video seem longer but to also help make my video all fit together nicely. • The only camera techniques is panning or slowly moving, which I also would like to include as I think it makes my video look effortless but also complex.

  • 16. Potential techniques • Cutting the music to the song. This is a main technique I want to use as I need my music video and my lyric to fit together so that everything makes sense and it is all able to link together. It will be easy to follow if everything is where is should be and will not need the audience to pay as much attention. • Intertexuality is another technique I will use as I want to it to be similar to other storytelling music videos and bring back memories to the audience and give them a chance to create the story in their heads.

Conventions you plan to use • Different camera angles is a convention I plan to use. • Long shot will be the most used as I will use it to set the scene of the story and it helps to show what sort of scene it is going to be and can create emotions for the audience. • Medium shot is another shot I will use to show the people in the video and also help to show the feelings and emotions shown by the people in the video. • Close up shot will be used in my music video. This links with medium shot as I will use a close up shot to show the characters emotions and help to create an image and feelings for the audience.

Summary • 5 restrictions to your ideas • With the fair only being on for a few days a restriction is that I may need more footage but not be able to get there. • It being too busy is a restriction as this could cause me to have mad footage or not enough • Filming on my phone gives me restriction as I could not get the best quality. • With the song being at different speeds throughout it will give me restrictions whilst editing. • Finding a date that all me and my friends can do to make sure I can film.

Final idea – track summary • Petit Biscuit boiled his tune down to just a few elements: a guitar line, mostly single notes with space between each one; a hand-clap; a basic kick drum; a pitch-shifted-and-chopped vocal that sounds like a baby experimenting with speech for the first time. • It climbed to No. 13 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Even though the track is instrumental, fans are so enamored with it that you can Google "Sunset Lover lyrics" and find that people have invented some words to help them sing along.
  • 23. Final idea – your idea • My final idea is going to be a video of me and my friends. There is a fair that happens in our village and we like to go every year. It is only little so it is safe and not very busy. • I am going to use the song sunset lover by petit biscuit, I chose this song because it is upbeat but also chilled at the same time. I also think that the song will go well with my song as the music video will be the main focus. • I want the video to be fun and colourful as it will link with the song and give it a happy view. The cover photo for the song is bright so I will link the music video with the theme of the song cover. To add the colour into my video I am going to add clips of bright sunsets, with the song being called ‘sunset lover’ having those clips will link the video more with the song and also bring colour into it. • The song starts off slow so I will make my video slow to fit with the song and as the song speeds up my video will speed up so that the story is being told and it is all in time.
  • 25. Locations • The cost that is needed for the music video will be the money for the fair rides which are ÂŁ2 a ride so not much money will be needed to create this video. The main part of the video will be filmed at night but if some parts need reshooting then it will have to be done during the day which will also need a cost for food. In the village there is local shops and restaurants so food will be close by. • The distance is not far for my music video as it is close by and easy to get to. My friends who are included are able to drive and there is also easy transport to get there if needed. • I will check in advance for the weather and if it will be suitable for the music video. If the weather is a problem then I can shoot on another day where the weather is better, with the location not being far I am able to get there easily.
  • 26. Equipment • I have a camera of my own which allows me to record my music video which I will take to film with. I will make sure to take with me extra batteries and SD card • I also have my phone that I can footage off and also film on just in case any problems happen. • All the equipment at college has been booked up so having this equipment helps me complete my work.
  • 27. Facilities • I will edit my video on the college computer on Premiere Pro so the facilities I will need are all in one place • My phone as this is the main thing I will be filming on. I need to make sure I have enough battery or a backup plan if not.
  • 28. Personnel • My team is my friends, they do not come to college so my music video will be taken in my own time. There is 5 of us and we all have different looks and personalities. My crew is available on weekends, they all live close by and some can drive so it makes it easier for us to travel to places we need to go. • Yes I do have external performers which are my friends. They are all available on weekends mainly Saturdays. The only cost that will be needed for my music is money for the rides at the fair but they are not expensive. If filming takes longer and food is needed we will be able to access food or go places to eat. They can all drive and there is easy transport to where they all live so transport is easy. • No one other than my friends will be helping me with my video as I will be filming it.

  • 36. Locations This is where most of my video was filmed. This is where the fair was. This is a village near my village, I went to school here and its where all my friends live. The fair happens once a year and we always try to go. No permission was needed to film here as it is a public and friendly area and anyone is welcome.
