Song idea’s

• Song idea- “Crash- EDEN”
• Song idea- “Way Beyond- Bastille”
• Song idea- “Gold- EDEN”
• Song idea- “West end kids- Vikings”
• Song idea- “99-Barns Courtney”
• Song idea- “Circles-EDEN”
Idea one
• For this Idea I am going to try stick to using a slow song and have a slow pace to my music video. For
example for this idea I will use a song like “Gold by EDEN” or “Crash by EDEN” or “Rock + Roll by EDEN”.
This music video will be quite slow paced however I will still have a large amount of shots as well as long
shots in it to match the beat of the music but so that there is a make sift story that goes with the song
however the song Rock + Roll is 5minutes long so I would have to get a much larger amount of shots or
longer shots if I was doing a music video on this rather then if I did a music video about the song Gold
which is 3minutes long. The types of shots that I will use when making my video will mostly be long shots,
very long shots, tilted frame shots and close up shots.
• The environment of my music video will be quite gloomy and dark to match the tone of the music and to
also go with the story that the song is trying to get across to their audience. To do this I will most likely try
to record on days when there’s fog or early in the morning where its still quite dark and gloomy. Luckily I’m
recording my project In a season that already matches the tone of the songs that I might use for this idea.
When collecting the shots that I need I will have a main group of friends and the main character by
himself. When recording the main group of friends I will try to get shots where its just them and there’s no
other bystanders or strangers in the shot however when recording the main character I will do a mix of
shots where he’s with his friends and when he’s surrounded by a range of different people weather this is
in public or not.
• My characters in the music will be wearing casual clothes that they would wear day to day because the
majority of the shots will be based around the main character going out and spending time with friends or
going out in public like normal. This will also help to make my product more attractive to the songs target
audience because its relatable and they’re able to compare themselves to what happens in the music
video.
Idea two
• For this idea I will be making a music video that is more upbeat and faster paced then
idea one. For this idea I will try to stick to songs such as “99 by Barns Courtney” or “Good
Thing by Barns Courtney” because they are faster paced, have a faster beat but also try to
have a story throughout the song.
• Because this song is up beat and fast I will have to get a much larger amount of shots
because for sections of the song I would like to have clips changing to the beat of the
song and the main clips that I use will be faster paced instead of slower like idea one to
help get across the idea of being happy to the audience.
• However because of the season most of my clips will most likely end up taking place in a
dark and gloomy environment rather then the bright and colorful tone that would better
suit this song. To sort of avoid this I will try to focus on recording early in the morning
where the environment is naturally gloomy all year round because morning gives the idea
of a new start and happiness which is what both these songs represent at some point.
• The characters in this music video will be wearing casual clothes the same as idea one
however because I will have a lot more shots in this idea the characters will be wearing a
range of different casual clothes because I will have to record my video over a range of
different days if my friends are involved in it a lot more then idea one.
Idea three
• For this idea I will be basing my idea off the song “West end kids by Vikings” my
music video will be quite fast paced however the tone of the song is quite sad
meaning this idea will be sort of a mixture of both one and two because the the
music is fast but the tone of the song is sad. When getting the shots for my video
I will try to get shots that match the tone of the song and get a large amount of
them so in some parts of my video shots can change to the beat of the song to
make it more appealing to the target audience and to get their attention. The
environment that I will be taking my shots will be mainly around areas that are
similar to idea one such as

Summary
• 5 strengths of your ideas you could use

• The tone of the current season matches with the majority of my ideas helping to add more to the music
video.
• I am able to get a large amount of people to help in the making of my video if needed allowing me to do a
lot more then if it was just me.
• I think one of the strength's of my ideas is that for all of them I am using a wide range of different shots
help
• Another one of the strengths is that I’m able to go long distances if I need to get any specific shots that I
need.
• 5 weaknesses of you ideas
• One of my weaknesses is that the song I’m using is quite long so I will need more shots then I would if it
was just a regular sized song.
• I have only used a professional camera one or two times so I still don’t fully know how to operate one.
• Because of the weather recently I might not be able to record on certain days because I don’t want rain to
damage any of my equipment.
• my third and second idea are harder to do then my first one because of the time of year it is.
