Officials of FCI
 Officials are basically good people who can
do better
 And they already know what to do, so why
aren’t they doing it.
Concept of Motivation
A process of goal oriented behaviour driven to
act because of a need.

Types of Motivation
External Motivation :- It comes from
outside.
 Money
 Societal approval
 Incentives & Rewards
 Fame
 Fear
Internal Motivation
It is inner gratification not for success or
winning but for the fulfillment which comes
from having done it. It is a feeling of
accomplishment rather than just achieving a
goal. Reaching an unworthy goal does not give
the gratifying feeling. Internal motivation is
lasting because it comes from within and
translates into self motivation.
How we can build a positive attitude
• Look for positive only
-change your focus
-Some people always criticize
-Some people always look for negative
- Make a habbit of doing it now
- Auto suggestion
Self Motivation :-
The surest way to keep your self motivation
active and alive is finding and doing the work
or activities that you would do even if you are
not paid for it. And you are so enthusiastic
about the work that you don’t mind, suffer for
it, ,even willing to forego some benefits. You
continue to do it in the midst of opposition and
lack of facilities, for the love of the work
overcomes all opposition and difficulties.
SOLVE THE PROBLEM
A logical thinker happened to go to a
village to have his hair cut. The village had
only two barbers, each with his own shop.
The logical thinker glanced into one shop
and saw that it was extremely untidy. The
barber also needed a shave. His clothes
were unkempt. His hair was badly cut. The
other shop was extremely neat. The barber
was freshly shaved and spotlessly dressed,
his hair neatly trimmed. The logical
thinker returned to the first shop for his
hair cut. Why ?
SOLVE THE PROBLEM
A large piece of paper, the thickness
of a piece of loose-leaf paper is folded
once making two layer. It is folded
again, making four layers. If you were
to continue to fold it once upon itself
fifty times, how thick is fifty folded
paper.
SOLVE THE PROBLEM
Martha has to get her two babies, Sara
and Robert as well as the family cat,
out to the car. Because Martha has a
broken arm, she can carry only one
baby or the cat at a time.
Unfortunately, neither child can be
left alone with cat. How does she get
everyone to the car in as few trips as
possible.

 Unwillingness to plan and prepare

 Inability to recognize opportunity

 Lack of knowledge

  • 7. Internal Motivation It is inner gratification not for success or winning but for the fulfillment which comes from having done it. It is a feeling of accomplishment rather than just achieving a goal. Reaching an unworthy goal does not give the gratifying feeling. Internal motivation is lasting because it comes from within and translates into self motivation.

  • 9. Self Motivation :- The surest way to keep your self motivation active and alive is finding and doing the work or activities that you would do even if you are not paid for it. And you are so enthusiastic about the work that you don’t mind, suffer for it, ,even willing to forego some benefits. You continue to do it in the midst of opposition and lack of facilities, for the love of the work overcomes all opposition and difficulties.
  • 10. SOLVE THE PROBLEM A logical thinker happened to go to a village to have his hair cut. The village had only two barbers, each with his own shop. The logical thinker glanced into one shop and saw that it was extremely untidy. The barber also needed a shave. His clothes were unkempt. His hair was badly cut. The other shop was extremely neat. The barber was freshly shaved and spotlessly dressed, his hair neatly trimmed. The logical thinker returned to the first shop for his hair cut. Why ?
  • 11. SOLVE THE PROBLEM A large piece of paper, the thickness of a piece of loose-leaf paper is folded once making two layer. It is folded again, making four layers. If you were to continue to fold it once upon itself fifty times, how thick is fifty folded paper.
