This presentation aims at introducing and evaluating some Listening and Speaking Tools ESL teachers may make use of both inside and outside the classroom.
Create a Communicative Language Classroom: Designing Listening and Speaking ...Transparent Language, Inc.
Language teachers understand that 21st century students must be able to communicate effectively with diverse people from many different cultures. In order to meet this challenge, teachers should emphasize communicative skills when instructing foreign languages. Students are required not only to understand, but also to produce language in oral and written forms. This webinar series will cover how to plan instructional activities that align with the three ACTFL modes of communication (Interpersonal, Interpretive, and Presentational), as they relate to listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
In this session, we'll discuss speaking and listening activities.
My Journey from ESL Teacher to Language coachJudy Thompson
I was thrilled to become a certified TESL teacher but quickly learned I didn't have the tools I needed to make the difference I wanted to make for my students. I hope my story of transition to language coach shaves years off of yours.

Asian College of Teachers (ACT) is the leading teachers training institution in Asia dedicated to producing future global educators. See how their life changed as they emerge as confident individuals leading the global education market.
The lesson plans will be designed based on the storytelling-based curriculum, which centers on the students' basic needs-interest, motivation, fun, knowing new things and success.
*Organizing a conferring notebook in a binder or tech tool format (Confer and Evernote Apps) *Communicating effectively in a conference with English Learners *Goal setting with English Learners
Cultural and language Considerations for Working with InterpretersBilinguistics
Identify cultural issues when working with students and families from other cultures. Understand procedures for working and collaborating with interpreters during family interactions, speech and language assessment, and treatment. Finally learn to provide interpreters with appropriate vocabulary and scripts in Spanish that are culturally sensitive to explain the ARD/IEP paperwork and processes to parents.

Introduce Brainf*ck, another Turing complete programming language. Then, try to implement the following from scratch: Interpreter, Compiler [x86_64 and ARM], and JIT Compiler.
There are now a couple of alternative interpreters (or engines) for the R programming language. In this presentation, I will give a gentle introduction to Renjin, which is an open-source project to implement an R interpreter in Java. The introduction should appeal a wide audience, from data scientists to (web) application developers and will cover topis such as "Why build another R interpreter?", "For whom is Renjin?", "What can you do with Renjin?", "How does Renjin compare to GNU R and the other alternative engines like pqR, FastR, and TERR or pseudo-alternatives like Microsoft R and Oracle R Distribution?", "How can I try Renjin?", and more.
English is an essential language that is spoken worldwide, and it is becoming increasingly important for children to learn it from a young age. However, teaching English to very young children can be a challenging task, and it is essential to make it fun and engaging to capture their attention and keep them interested. One of the most effective ways to teach English to young children is to make the learning experience enjoyable and entertaining. Using games, songs, and interactive activities, children can learn new words and phrases in a fun and exciting way.
As a teacher, it is important to create a safe and comfortable learning environment where children can express themselves and experiment with the language without fear of making mistakes. Incorporating a variety of learning styles, such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic, can help children to absorb the language more effectively and retain the information better.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Motivating learners
1. Susan Bodar talked about what she does. She’s also translator and interpreter, also
a language coach. She’s trying to teach herself Spanish. She speaks several
languages.
She talked about what she does. She’s also translator and interpreter, also a
language coach. She’s trying to teach herself Spanish. She speaks several
languages.
3. • First thing she does: She likes to make people autonomous and take
learning in their own hands so she starts trying to establish a filesharing
contact. She uses dropbox. She speaks 95% in English as she feels it’s the
best way to learn it.
5. • Another class: She includes different varied material: audio,
grammar, self-correction tests, reading.
6. • The second thing she does is coaching learners for autonomous learning. She offers a
number of websites, audio-books (read & listen), elemental.com (for pronunciation), post-its
(to put them anywhere for things you want to remember), she explains about podcasts, Ted-
Talks, Voscreen (excellent for listening practise).
• She recommended some sites:
• ORORO TV series Y films with subtitles http://ororo.tv/en/
9. • She teaches unplugged. She doesn’t follow just one book but takes
information from several ones and doesn’t stick to a book rigorously.
• Students need oral English she tends to do exercises orally so that they
practise pronunciation.
10. • Susan uses technology. Feedly is a kind of magazine you create for yourself, save
there what you want to read later.
• Mindmaple light: for mindmaps. It’s easy and flexible.
• Barefoot World Atlas: an app for children. She recommends it highly; you can see
pictures, photos and oral explanations.
• Explain everything: app with which you can create material.
11. • We learn better as children or if we’re living in the place where it’s spoken. So she
uses what we can see in the slide. She has even cooked with her students!
Students are living the language this way.
12. • Susan doesn’t have much experience teaching online. She
uses Zoom. At the end of the lesson she includes feedback.
13. • Pros: you go with the flow, you see what they need and give it to them.
• Cons: you can’t get off track, you need to finish the program.
14. • Conclusion: her students keep coming back, we can assume her method is good.
Her best students are always on YouTube following their favourite you tubers so
they pick up the language; they take their learning into their hands.
