2. My interpretation of the brief was to create a music video for an unsigned artist/band and create a CD cover for this artist along with promotional material i.e. magazine advertisement.
3. During the research stage we conducted a questionnaire to establish who our target audience were in order for our production to appeal to an audience. Once we had received back our questionnaires and created graphs we realised our target audience was predominantly female ranging from 16 to 22 years old.
4. Not only did we create a questionnaire and results but we looked into who our chosen artist was and her background. This way we could create a piece of work which reflected her. We also looked into existing competitors for album covers, magazine advertisements and music videos. By analysing these our work will follow the conventions associated with these but also stand out and appeal to our audience.
5. From looking into competitors I find general conventions that they all used that I will subsequently use in mine. For example a barcode, the music company symbol. Also a large image which attracted the audience and symbolises the whole album.
