Ethical Principles In Mental Health Counseling
IMPLICATIONS
Inclusion refers to putting into practice all the principles of clinical mental health counseling.
According to 2014 ACA Code of Ethics, C.5. Nondiscrimination, counselors do not condone or
engage in discrimination against prospective or current clients, students, employees, supervisors, or
research participants based on age, culture, disability, ethnicity, race, religion/spirituality, gender,
gender identity, sexual orientation, marital/partnership status, language preference, socioeconomic
status, immigration status, or any basis prescribed by law. A mental health counselorcan combine all
the principles of mental health counseling during therapy. Inclusion shows that the counselor is
equipped with the right tools and possess all the ingredients necessary for the successfully treatment
of the client.
Referral is a counselor s ability to refer a mental health clients to a different counselor. When doing
so, a counselor must be aware of the six ethical principles in Mental Health counseling. Counselors
must keep ACA Code of EthicsA.11 Termination and Referral in mind. If counselors lack the
competence to be of professional assistance to clients, they avoid entering or continuing counseling

Powwow Observation Report
The event I chose to attend was the Natchez 29th Annual Powwow. I was unaware of how much
history that was in the city of Natchez. This was a pretty fun experience for my husband and me.
The Powwow takes place every year in March in the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. I had
never attended a Powwow before, but had always heard how interesting it is. The Native
Americans use Powwows to meet together in dancing, singing, visiting with old friends and
meeting new friends. Powwows honor and keep alive the Native American traditions and cultures.
Through this experience, I was able to see how important spirituality is to the Native American
cultures. Counselor Awareness of Own Cultural Values and Biases I did not have valid knowledge

Representatives from all different tribes were present and they danced and sang together in
harmony. The traditional dress wear of the each tribe was beautiful and they introduced the tribes
that were present. I loved the sense of togetherness the participants had. Also, the experience
broke a stereotype for me. I was under the impression that all Native Americans were tan and had
black hair. I guess I related it to the movie Pocahontas and some western movies I ve seen. This
certainly was not the case. It goes to show you really can t judge someone with how they look or
guess their culture with how they look. This changed my way of thinking. I do anticipate to learn
more about the Native American culture and learn not to assume culture based on appearance. I
generally do not mean to, but I belive that everyone has unconscious thoughts and assumptions
when they see someone different than themselves. With the more knowledge I gain as a counselor
and though my classes I want to tackle my unconscious thoughts and assumptions. Through this
class I have definitely become more aware of what I have been told in relation to people different

Military Advances Essay
Military Advances
A good portion of my family has been in some form of the military, mainly the Army. In fact, I
have a couple cousins who are active members now. My paternal grandfather served in World
War Two. My maternal grandfather was an Army officer and was stationed in many different
places, for example California and Germany. He also served in Vietnam. He got a Purple Heart
when he got shot through the chest, nearly hitting his heart. When my mom told me this, I
realized how close I had been to not having a grandfather. Luckily, my mom had been born so I m
here. But then I thought about all the future generations of people that were cut short because of a
small little piece of metal. This inspired my writers block for my essay. I ... Show more content on

But since it s the strongest material in the natural world, how can it be broken down? All we would
need is an enormous amount of pressure. While goethite could greatly improve our soldier s safety, I
think another part of the suit in the video game Black Ops 3 could help. When I looked up a
picture of the suit, it seemed to have an electric glow, sort of staticky. If the suit had electric
currents flowing through wires, it could help military safety greatly, because if there is enough of
a charge, electricitycould warp metal, which is most likely how the bullets vaporized in Black
Ops 3. While electricity can t destroy metal now, I think something along those lines will happen
in the future. After all, Black Ops 3 does take place in the future. I think if armor was made out
of the material found in the limpet s teeth, and had electric currents flowing through the armor,
this would have reduced the casualties of U.S. soldiers substantially, because the armor would
have been so strong. In the future, there will be bigger and more powerful weapons. But, if the
protection that was being worn was upgraded, like the kinetic armor for example, that will keep
our troops as safe as they can be, which will

Harriet Tubman Character Traits
Have you ever heard the story of Harriet Tubman? The story A Glory Over Everything has lots of
information on Harriet s Escape from slavery. But she had to have great character traits to do
what she did. Some of these great traits she had were bravery, intelligence, and independence.
Harriet Tubman s great character traits played a huge role in her deciding escape from slavery.
Harriet s bravery played a huge role in her escape. If she wasn t brave she would ve never been
able to stand up to her bigger stronger brothers when they told her not to run for the north. If she
didn t have bravery she would have never left the plantation to make it to the north. She also had to

vitamins, minerals and herbs for women of all age groups. The supplements are offered through
an SNC Website and Catalog (Harvard Business Publishing, 2014). SNC offers more than 50
third party brands referred to as their stock keeping units (SKUs). Since their initial launch in
the year 2006, they have developed a private label brand for sports drinks, metabolism boosting
power as well as a vitamin line for teenage girls (Harvard Business Publishing, 2014). After
reviewing the Working Capital Simulation, I have summarized the various phases, examined why
SNC made several decisions and how their decisions were based on the existing working capital.
The selections were key determinants that affected SNC s working capital and had effects that are
associated with limited access to financing (Harvard Business Publishing, 2014).. Also, the final
metrics of SNCs Sales, EBIT, Net Income, Free Cash and the Firm s Total Value are discussed in

Social, Political, And Economical Innovation
Throughout the past 20 years, the focus on the World Wide Web has been a compelling area of
social, political, and economical innovation. At one time, the internet was a tool that promoted
collaboration in the realm of research as it was used as a means of sharing scholarly documents
between universities. However, since that time, the internethas evolved into being a way of life.
Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web
, or just the Web, interchangeably, but the
two terms are not synonymous. The World Wide Web is the primary application that billions of
people use on the Internet, and it has changed their lives immeasurably (author unknown, https:/

This concept will be clarified later in the paper. Hence, the critical thing to focus on is that, when on
the web, hyperlinks can be utilized to navigate through and interact with web based content and
resources.
In order to access the web, one must utilize a tool called a web browser. World Wide Web browser
software, such as Microsoft s Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, lets users navigate from one
web page to another via hyperlinks embedded in the documents. These documents may also contain
any combination of computer data, including graphics, sounds, text, video, multimedia and
interactive content that runs while the user is interacting with the page. Client side software can
include animations, games, office applications and scientific demonstrations. Through keyword
driven Internet research using search engines like Yahoo! and Google, users worldwide have easy,
instant access to a vast and diverse amount of online information. Compared to printed media,
books, encyclopedias and traditional libraries, the World Wide Web has enabled the decentralization
of information on a large scale (author unknown, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet). This more
formal explanation of how the web works now opens the door to a detailed discussion on the
concept of what URL means.

Biometric Authentication And A Safe Deposit Business

Safe Deposit business. The report will go over the possible use of Finger Vein or Facial

AUTHENTICATION SYSTEMS A Biometric authentication is the process of verifying if a user
or the identity of a user is who they claim to be; using digital biological information of the user.
Such pieces of information include finger vein scans, finger prints (ink) and face scans. This

Because vein patterns are uniquely located beneath the user s skin and that must have blood
flowing readily through them to be scanned, they are almost impossible to copy or change. This
means that the a finger vein scan would be a very useful and unique way to identify users on our
system and at the same time a very portable method with the size of some of the scanners today.
The customer would approach our security team with their deposit box key. The customer would
place their finger in our finger vein scanner. The finger vein scanner uses LED lights to scan the
veins inside the customer s finger beneath the skin. The system will compare the scan to pre
validated scans taken from the customer previously and verify that the customer s scan is correct.
This useful diagram shows the customer placing their finger on the scanner being scanned by the
LED lights and CMOS sensor.(2) Vein Scan See references Our Deposit Box customer database

vein scan information. The customer must provide an identical match to be approved to enter the
deposit box area. FACE BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM Face recognition is the

Analysis of Caius Cassius Character
Analysis of Caius Cassius Character
Caius Cassius plays one of the most important roles in William Shakespeare s play, Julius Caesar ,
which is centred round the assassination of the Roman dictator. The driving force behind the
conspiracy is Cassius though there are others who are unhappy with the state of affairs under the
prevailing system. Yet, they do not take an active part in the design to get rid of powerful Caesar.
So, it is not incorrect to state that the chief protagonist of the assassination plot is no one but Caius
Cassius.
Let me have men about me that are fat;
Sleek headed men, and such as sleep o nights:
Yond Cassius has a lean and hungry look;
He thinks too much: such men are dangerous. Act1.ii.

The strategy succeeds in obtaining Brutus whole hearted involvement in the conspiracy when he
says, Speak, strike, redress! Am I entreated
To speak and strike? O Rome, I make thee promise,
If the redress will follow, thou receivest
Thy full petition at the hand of Brutus! Act 2.ii.
Though the method employed to convert Brutus is quite unprincipled, it shows, no doubt, the skill
of a practical man to achieve his objective by hook or by crook. Hence, it can be counted as a plus
point in his character. Brutus patriotism and self love impede him from seeing the deep chasm to
which he is pushed by artful manipulation.
Unlike Brutus, Cassius is a far sighted man. He is aware of the capability of Antony and his solid
friendship with Caesar. An important item in his plan is to get rid of Mark Antonyas well, along
with Caesar since he concludes that he is a potential danger to their cause. But this is over ruled by
Brutus on the premise that it will foul their good intention. Brutus reaction to the suggestion is:
Let s be sacrificers, but not butchers, Caius. Act 2 Scene i.
What takes place later fully justifies the stand taken by Cassius with regard to Antony. If Brutus
agreed with Cassius, the conspiracy would have been a complete success.
Brutus permits Antony to make a funeral oration at Caesar s burial. Again Cassius objects to
Antony being allowed to speak for he sees it

The Importance Of Credible Institutions Reporting On The...
Depending on where you get your news, what TV shows you watch, and by which mediums you
most frequently consume the media, your individual interpretation of the same event may vary
greatly with that of others. The advantages of a 21st century media are unquestionable. In an
advanced society it is completely reasonable to assert that differing ideologies are necessary and
in fact healthy for a learned civilization. The importance of credible institutions reporting on the
behalf of the masses is a vital part of the freedoms expected to be globally upheld. Unfortunately,
there are some clearly negative societal consequences of our vast media markets as well. As
they do at times, veer away from credibility and steer towards agenda based and profit influenced
reporting. When consuming any form of media, it is vital to be cautionary of different biases,
and factors that may impact the way information is presented to you as a consumer. It is
important to acknowledge that all media sources operate within the boundaries of some agenda or
purpose. Media sources often times provide very different accounts of the same information. The
Syrian refuge crisis has sparked an extensive amount of discussion globally. in 2016, it has been
one of the most frequently covered topics of discussion. The uniquely demanding crisis, has had
great impact on political rhetoric in every corner of the world. The nearly 6 million estimated
individuals fleeing Syria have been the topic of much discussion.

Jim Crows laws was a statute created that agreed to segregation. These laws were enacted by the
Southerners and the municipalities in the early 1880s. The Jim Crow saying had become so
popular that any law passed in the South dealing with blacks and whites was titled under; Jim

General Assembly passed a law to prevent black and white people from riding together on

separating black and white textile workers in South Carolina. This law was taking over the African

Three Dimensions Of Intelligence Quotient
Burnout is composed of three dimensions which are: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization,
and feelings of reduced personal accomplishment/achievement (Maslach Jackson, 1981).
Emotional exhaustion refers to a feeling of being emotionally debilitated by work so much that
one feels physically collapsed and being unable to recover to work or previous physical health
any more (King DeCicco, 2009). Depersonalization or Cynicism involves pessimism toward one s
coworkers and job which may lead to one s eagerness to quit his/her career (Maslach Leiter, 1997).
And finally, lower personal accomplishment is described as feeling of not being successful and
competent enough and believing that one s efforts are futile (Maslach Leiter, 1997). Burnout... Show

In this pyramid, the first intelligence is Physical Quotient, essential for babies in controlling their
bodies. The second one is Intelligence Quotient, necessary for developing linguistic and conceptual
skills. The third one is Emotional intelligence, required for handling interpersonal and intrapersonal
relationships, and the last one is Spiritual intelligence, needed for searching meaning in life. The
last two intelligences, emotional and spiritual intelligence, are suggested by Wigglesworth (2002)
to be interconnected and reinforcing each other. Validity of rigorous research in areas such as
spirituality is confirmed by studies in neuroscience in which brain is examined for providing
scientific answers to questions related to constructs such as spirituality (Cacioppo, Hawkley,
Rickett, Masi, 2005). The idea of God spot in the brain is introduced by Persinger (1996) and
Ramachandran (1999) as a location in the brain working as spiritual functioning. Scientific
examinations of brain indicated that these neural areas of the brain are activated whenever subjects
are engaged in spiritual discussions, resulting into a conclusion that human brain is predisposed
with locations specifically for cognitive constructs such as spirituality (Cited in Howard White,

Jailbreaking Persuasive Speech
Being able to customize your iPhone in any way possible without any backlash would probably

Other people jailbreak their iPhones to stand out in their own way. Customization of an iPhone is a
key way to stand out. The way to customize an iPhoneanyway is to jailbreak it and have Cydia

Throughout history being heavyset was an indicator of wealth, while being skinny was closely

traits like laziness, sloppiness, and not having self control. Even though they are associated with
unfavorable characteristics, the obesity overweightrates are continuously rising. Approximately
sixty percent of Americans are currently overweight; about twenty seven percent are clinically

The Importance Of The Fourth Amendment
A The Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights was ratified on December 15, 1791. This
Amendment protects people from the police searching their homes and private property without
a properly executed search warrant. The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses,
papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no
Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly
describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized ( Annenberg

seizures by government officials. A search can mean everything from a frisking by a police
officer to a blood test to a search of an individual s home or car. A seizure occurs when the
government takes control of an individual or something in his or her possession. Items that are
seized often are used as evidence when the individual is charged with a crime ( Annenberg

Is Disagreement With A Cognitive Peer From Another Faith...
Does a disagreement with a cognitive peer from another faith or philosophical perspective reduce
the confidence one has in the justification of one s belief?
This is a difficult question for one to answer for various reasons and one of those reasons being
that when someone believes that their knowledge in a particular subject is greater than others it s
very difficult to change that person mind or the way that they see a particular subject. Although If
I came up on this issue and someone asked me if a cognitive peers views would make me second
guess my beliefs I must say no, it wouldn t lessen my belief or confidence on my point of view if
that person was just as knowledgeable as I am. Everyone in this world no matter how old or how
young, no matter how educated or how uneducated someone is everyone in this world has had a
disagreement with someone. We as humans have disagreements on a daily basis. Whether that
disagreement is over something important or just a subject that doesn t matter to anyone else other
than the two discussing. When an argument occurs that means that there is two different points of
views and that is what makes an argument interesting because you can have more knowledge on the
way that someone else thinks about the topic that you are talking about.
When it comes down to religion I must say that in no way would my point of view change if
someone had a different opinion then I do. Why? Because one whose view would change after
speaking to a cognitive

Reflection Of My Autobiography Of Education In Nigeria
My Learning Autobiography
Introduction
I was born and raised in Nigeria: a populous country with more than 250 ethnic groups. I speak
two languages: Yoruba and English. I attended St. Bernadette Primary School and Omolaja Sodipo
Memorial Anglican Secondary School where I lived until the spring of 2013 before I moved to the
United States. The education system in Nigeria is very different from the one in the United States.
But all the same, living in the United States has also provided me with opportunities to grow and
improve in my personal life. Further, into the paper, I will be discussing my formal, semi formal
and informal education experiences and most importantly, how I learned to be who I am today.
Formal Education
In Nigeria, I went to a private school both for my primary and secondary education. The school is
in my neighborhood, and it s not very big. My dad always drops me off at school by 7 am, but he
never picks me up after school, so I had to walk home from school every day. I learned in a
rather hard way to school. One class had almost 30 students or more with just one teacher, so the
teacher doesn t pay attention to all the students. In class every day, my teacher makes each student
read one paragraph from the book until everyone in the class has read. These helped me a lot in
learning how to read very well then.
Also in my primary and secondary school, I had different teachers for different subjects, and I
always had about ten subjects a day. So since my

Stuhlinger Argument Essay
Similar to the first source from NASA, Ernst Stuhlinger, then the Associate Director of Science at
NASA, responded to this question personally by writing a long detailed letter in 1970. In his
letter, Stuhlinger speaks of how he believes that space exploration in the long run, will contribute
more to the solution of these grave problems we are facing here on earth today. In addition,
Stuhlinger uses logistical data by explaining how the United States use around 200 billion dollars
a year and how only 1.6% of this national budget was allocated to space explorationthis year. If this
was to be put in the current time period, then space exploration would only be using 0.52 % of the
national budget 3. Overall, Stuhlinger focuses on answering... Show more content on

The Current Status Of Electronic Health Record
Electronics has become one huge complex reality. When you turn to your right someone is using a
form of electronic device and when you turn to your left something is being controlled by some
electronic. In general there are computers in schools, prisons, hospitals and at home. It has become
part of our day to day need in our community. In this paper I will discuss the current status of
electronic health record(EHR) in United States, what needs to be done to improve EHR status in
United States and issues that affects patient confidentiality.
The current status of the EHR in United States is almost impossible to give an accurate data. This
is because the data of their adoption rate is limited. The surveys data provided by various studies ...

A Research Study On Catalytic Promiscuity And The...
Catalytic promiscuity provides a starting point for the evolution of new enzymes. When a
secondary promiscuous activity becomes physiologically relevant, selection will favor genetic
changes that improve upon this promiscuous activity. When the ability to do both activities limits
growth, it is called an Inefficient bi functional enzyme. The Copley lab at the University of
Colorado at Boulder has found several genetic changes that increase fitness in a О”argC strain of
Escherichia coli BW25113 when growth is limited by an inefficient bi functional enzyme (ProA*).

In most cases, gene duplications are expected to be either selectively neutral or detrimental due to
the fitness costs of their maintenance, limiting the ability of a cell to maintain duplicated copies
long enough for beneficial mutations to occur (13). However, solutions to this problem have been
proposed based on the observation that most new enzyme activities closely resemble the original
activity of the enzyme.
Active sites of specialized enzymes often bind molecules that have some resemblance to their
natural or physiological substrates, although usually with much lower affinity (16). If an enzyme
can bind an unintended substrate and catalyze a secondary reaction that is physiologically
irrelevant, it is said to have catalytic promiscuity . If this secondary activity becomes
physiologically relevant by increasing fitness, selection will favor genetic changes that take
advantage of this new activity (11). The promiscuous activity of essential enzymes or those that are
constitutively expressed are usually the first to be recruited in the face of an environmental change
due to their active and selectable presence in the cell (11). Alternatively, mutations that cause
constitutive expression of non essential genes that can be subsequently recruited to produce
essential metabolites via their promiscuous activities have been documented (29, 5). In either case,

Firewalls will be placed between the web servers and the outer edge of the network, facing the
Internet. Such a configuration, called a demilitarized zone (DMZ), will provide an additional
layer of defense from a network breach. If the web servers are compromised, there will be an
additional barrier between them and the intranet. The firewalls will be configured to deny
everything, and then the ports that are needed for the functioning of the network will be
allowed. For the sake of expense and administrative simplicity, the firewall will be a stateful
packet filter firewall, as opposed to an application proxy firewall, which would offer higher
security and configurability at the expense of administrative complexity due to the need for a

The Importance Of Voting In Texas
Texas remains a large state with masses of diversity in addition. Despite all the Texas greatness and
large land there remains one issue that stays still not immense in, which is voting. Surprisingly,
only twenty two percent of Texans vote. Furthermore, Texas is positioned second to last with the
lowest votingrate. There exist plenty of reasons Texas has such a minimal voter turnoutrate. One
reason mentioned in the Texas Civil Health Index transpires Texas demographic (Texas 20). In
addition, another reason befalls that people actually believe that their vote doesn t matter. Finally,
a third reason stands that people ensue uneducated. Voting will transform our lives, if citizens just

hand another reason stated in the TCHI is, Texans reported being overmuch lazy, leading them to
not having time to vote (Texas 21). People do not realize voting thrives in being important for our
lives. It changes the quality of life we have. Lastly, another reason people do not vote is simple;
they are not educated. They don t understand how the government system works. TCHI tells that
Texans were not aware about even voting (Texas 21). Most Texans are not informed about what the
politicians are offering either. This will result in an overwhelming feeling for whom they will be

Oppression In Lee Strobel s The Case For Faith
The Case for Faith, was written by Lee Strobel who at the time was an outspoken atheist. Strobel
set out on a mission to disprove the Christian faith. Along the way, as he gathered information he
was slowly convinced that there was truth to the religion. In result of his findings Strobel
published three books to help explain his findings. In this book he discusses objections that arise
in the minds of believers. Strobel discusses eight different objection, thoroughly explains them,
and provides deep information to help resolve these objections. Some of the issues that he
touched on are tilled; Since Evil and Suffering Exist, A Loving God Cannot, A Loving God Would
Never Torture People in Hell, and I Still Have Doubts, So I Can t Be a Christian. Within each
obligation Strobel includes Bibleverses and professional explanations on objection at hand. The
most beneficial sections are those where he gives simple analogies that can benefit anybody no
matter where one is in the faith journey. The three parts that benefited me the most are; Since

Sarbanes-Oxley s Code Of Ethics
First, we need to grasp how Codes of ethics were created and if formulated from a standard
boilerplate Ethics program. As stated by FindLaw.com under Corporate Ethics and Sarbanes
Oxley, in order to create code of ethics, an organization must define its most important guiding
values, formulate behavioral standards to illustrate the application of those values to the roles
and responsibilities of the persons affected, review the existing procedures for guidance and
direction as to how those values and standards are typically applied, and establish the systems
and processes to ensure that the code is implemented and effective. (Navran, 2003) A company
can work to promote ethical behavior; however, the process is not easily created from boilerplate.

Analysis Of The Book Judges
The book of Judges is a very structured literary piece that uses chronological structure to make a
point and emphasize an idea. Judges narrates the Israelites continual decline in morality and their
downward spiral away from God, through the accounts of the judges, minor judges, and individuals.
While many people use the book of judgesto teach courage and strength, it would be more
accurately described as a book of brokenness and terror. The book of Judges begins with a
prologue. The prologue is twofold. The first part of the prologue takes a historical look back on
the conquest of the Promised Land, and reemphasizes the failure of Israelite tribes when they did
not drive the inhabitance of the land out and fully take the land as God... Show more content on

The first judge introduced is Othniel, who was raised up by the Lord to deliver the Israelites from
the king of Mesopotamia. The land of Israel had rest for 40 years under his judgeship. The
Israelites went back to what was evil, and their next deliverer was Ehud, a left handed
Benjaminite. He delivered them from the Moabite king, Eglon, and the land experienced 80
years of rest. Shamgar is the next judge in the narrative. The striking difference seen here is
Shamgar does not have a semitic name or any tribe affiliation, so it is possible that the Israelites
were delivered by a Gentile. The next judge, Deborah, is the only woman judge mentioned. She
is also said to have been a prophetess, and a judge with actual judicial function, instead of a
military leader. All the judges mentioned so far have not been said to have been good and
righteous leaders, but it has also not said they have been immoral or corrupt as later judges are,
so it can be assumed that they were good judges. This drastically changes as we look at the next
judges. The narrative of judges takes a momentary break to mention the Lord sending a prophet to
the people of Israel. The prophet reminds the Israelites of the deliverance they received from God
in Egypt, and calls them not to fear the gods of the Amorites. The prophet ends with But you have
not obeyed my voice (Jud. 6:10). From this point on in

The English Peasant Uprising Essay
The English Peasant Uprising was motivated by a growing contempt with the government and
clergy following the Black Death which was finally set off by a series of immediate social and
economic causes. A shortage of workers followed the Black Death with an estimated forty five
per cent of the population dying in England . As entire towns were either deserted or left devoid
of life, rural peasants increased their mobility into major cities. This shortage of rural workers
led to famine as fields were left to go fallow, placing further economic pressure on the peasant
classes who survived as the price of food increased. Due to the lack of labourers, the labourers who
survived demanded greater wages as they now had increased leverage over... Show more content on

Schools of thought such as held by the Lollards, followers of theologian and reformer John
Wycliffe whom acted as lay preachers, were held responsible for the Uprising as they were
critical of the church as an institution, particularly the concept of the Church owning land. As
these Lollards travelled and preached their opposition to the Church as temporal power, they
resonated with the peasants and became increasingly popular as unlike many of the priests and
monks recruited after the Black Death, they were observed to be genuinely pious . The already
solid dissatisfaction with the clergy only intensified with the imprisonment of a highly popular
Lollard, John Ball. John Ball was imprisoned at Maidstone in Kent when he came into conflict
with Simon of Sudbury Archbishop of Canterbury for lay preaching. The Hundred Years war
with France is still ongoing at this point which was also adding further pressure to the lower
classes due to the taxes needed to fund it. The war was very expensive, which meant more taxes
had to be put in place to compensate for the lack of people paying taxes on account of forty five
per cent of tax payers being dead. Not only were wages fixed by parliament, but parliament
demanded more money from a populace already financially struggling under fixed wages and
inflated food prices. The stresses of the Hundred Years War only intensified with the death of

The Harry Potter books make witchcraft and the practice of magic seem appealing and fun;
therefore, parents shouldn t allow their children to read them.
This particular issue is the source of most Christianity complaints and protests against the Harry
Potter books. Christians who express nothing but disdain for the separation of church and state
when it comes to the government promoting Christianity, suddenly become defenders of the
principle. They are arguing that schools are inappropriately promoting religion when students are
encouraged to read Harry Potter.
Even if they are hypocritical, it would matter if they are right because schools shouldn t encourage
students to read books that promote a particular religion. Most people tend to regard censorship as
a bad thing, but if the Harry Potter books really do promote witchcraft then perhaps there haven t
been enough challenges. If the Harry Potter books don t promote witchcraft, but merely include
witchcraft as part of the fabric of a fantasy world, then complaints are less about the books
themselves. Then the problem must be something else, possibly the

is about love and the morals of society. The play is set in Verona where Romeo and Juliet fall
instantly in love at a masked... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unfortunately, for all of Friar Lawrence s seemingly good intentions, the play still ends in
tragedy. Ostensibly, Friar Lawrence is a man who is not afraid to jeopardize his reputation as a
religious leader, in order to unite the families; as in Act 2, Scene 6, when he marries Romeo and
Juliet in secret. This is reinforced by the quote; For this alliance may so happy prove, To turn
your household rancour to pure love. However he makes a fatal mistake when he asks Juliet to
drink the potion in order to deceive her family; this vial, being then in bed… and this distilled
liquor drink thou off (IV.i.95 96), In the above statement he advises Juliet to drink a potion so
that she might fake her own death and avoid marrying Paris, yet he is subverting the
stereotypical image of a friar by deceiving the families. Friar Lawrence does not appear to be a
prudent individual, e.g., when he marries Romeo and Juliet in secrecy, he does not consider the
consequences of his actions which will be inflicted on the two young lovers. Unfortunately he did
not predict the quarantining of Friar John who was unable to deliver the critical message of Juliet
s feigned death. As well as a religious adviser and confidante, Friar Lawrence was also a chemist
and drew parallels between this profession and his philosophies on

Bill 2 Reflection
The two bills I chose were bill 2 and bill 5. These bills were a resolution to create a demilitarized
zone the South China Sea (bill 2) and a bill to create an Indian free trade agreement (bill 5). The
speeches I wrote were both positive and bill 2 was won by the Republicans, which is the group I
was with. I also believe bill 5 would have been won too, but that bill was never called upon. The
South China Seais worth 5.3 trillion dollars. This is enough for China to threaten military action
for claim over the wealth (Fensom). How important is this body of water? The South China Sea is
very valuable. Most of its wealth is within trade, islands, and oil. Many global sea routes connect in
the South China Sea, giving it the nickname the throat... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I found myself agreeing with every bill that was voted on for the Republican side. However, there
were some bills I did not agree with. For example, bill 1 I would have had to vote no, against the
Republican party, because I do not agree with a bill to eliminate mandatory minimum sentences.
The bills that were brought up for discussion happened to work out to where I agree with, and
voted on, the Republican side.
The hardest part about Mock Congress was getting in front of the class and saying my speech. I
am not very good at speaking, making it hard to fluently give an entire speech in front of a
crowd. The easiest part about Mock Congress was probably listening and voting on other bills.
The part I enjoyed the most was listening and debating on the bills brought up in class. I enjoyed
this because I found it to be fun and interesting. The part I enjoyed least would definitely been
giving my speech in front of the class.
I do not really have any one person in mind for the best congressman/woman. If I had to choose,
I would pick Alex Hudson. I am choosing him because he was very active during the duration of
Mock Congress. He brought up several good points, along with asking good questions. Alex also
seemed the most prepared on him speech, being that he had all the facts he needed for his speech
memorized and did not need and

Social Issues In Playing With Rainbows
Playing with Rainbows is a short story written by a Malaysian, Saroja Theavy Balakrishnan .
Playing with Rainbows narrates the dreadful story of Sita, a factory worker who is originated
from an estate in Kuala Kangsar. The story starts with Sita trying to commit suicide by jumping
into severely polluted river. However, her attempts prove futile as Banu, her best friend, is
preventing her from doing so with all her might. Sita depicts herself as a trash. Not only she
loses her purity and dignity to a Pakistani man whom she barely knows, also she is stone hearted
enough to abandon her two month old baby in a filthy drain. Eventually, Sita s long lost
conscience comes back to her after a few necessary slaps by Banu. She decides to get back her
baby and has an Indonesian construction worker to thank for her still alive baby. The author, Saroja

Instead of addressing this kind of unhealthy relationship as reckless love , it is more proper to call
it infatuation . Infatuation does not last. Infatuation fades away when troubles intrude. Infatuation
is merely an obsession in disguise. All of these statements mentioned earlier describe the love
between Sita and Asyraf perfectly and accurately. Sita believes whole heartedly that Asyraf will
marry her sooner or later; without getting to know his background, she is certain that he is
worthwhile for her to sacrifice her purity and dignity. She is utterly mesmerized by his flattery
until he decides to renege on her. Both genders have responsibilities in sustaining a healthy
relationship, especially when it involves the unity of two bodies. As adolescents and young adults,
we should be aware that sexual intercourse may result in pregnancy. That is when the couple
should own up their mistakes and get married as registered husband and wife, and raise up the
child as responsible

This was a pretty fun experience for my husband and me. The Powwow takes place every year in March in the Grand Village of the Natchez Indians. I had never attended a Powwow before, but had always heard how interesting it is. The Native Americans use Powwows to meet together in dancing, singing, visiting with old friends and meeting new friends. Powwows honor and keep alive the Native American traditions and cultures. I guess I related it to the movie Pocahontas and some western movies I ve seen. This certainly was not the case. It goes to show you really can t judge someone with how they look or guess their culture with how they look. This changed my way of thinking. I do anticipate to learn more about the Native American culture and learn not to assume culture based on appearance. I generally do not mean to, but I belive that everyone has unconscious thoughts and assumptions when they see someone different than themselves. My paternal grandfather served in World War Two. My maternal grandfather was an Army officer and was stationed in many different places, for example California and Germany. He also served in Vietnam. He got a Purple Heart when he got shot through the chest, nearly hitting his heart. When my mom told me this, I realized how close I had been to not having a grandfather. All we would need is an enormous amount of pressure. While goethite could greatly improve our soldier s safety, I think another part of the suit in the video game Black Ops 3 could help. When I looked up a picture of the suit, it seemed to have an electric glow, sort of staticky. If the suit had electric currents flowing through wires, it could help military safety greatly, because if there is enough of a charge, electricitycould warp metal, which is most likely how the bullets vaporized in Black Ops 3. While electricity can t destroy metal now, I think something along those lines will happen in the future. After all, Black Ops 3 does take place in the future. I think if armor was made out of the material found in the limpet s teeth, and had electric currents flowing through the armor, this would have reduced the casualties of U.S. soldiers substantially, because the armor would have been so strong. In the future, there will be bigger and more powerful weapons. But, if the protection that was being worn was upgraded, like the kinetic armor for example, that will keep our troops as safe as they can be, which will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Social, Political, And Economical Innovation Throughout the past 20 years, the focus on the World Wide Web has been a compelling area of social, political, and economical innovation. At one time, the internet was a tool that promoted collaboration in the realm of research as it was used as a means of sharing scholarly documents between universities. However, since that time, the internethas evolved into being a way of life. Many people use the terms Internet and World Wide Web , or just the Web, interchangeably, but the two terms are not synonymous. Before there can be an at length discussion... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This concept will be clarified later in the paper. Hence, the critical thing to focus on is that, when on the web, hyperlinks can be utilized to navigate through and interact with web based content and resources. In order to access the web, one must utilize a tool called a web browser. World Wide Web browser software, such as Microsoft s Internet Explorer and Google Chrome, lets users navigate from one web page to another via hyperlinks embedded in the documents. These documents may also contain any combination of computer data, including graphics, sounds, text, video, multimedia and interactive content that runs while the user is interacting with the page. Client side software can include animations, games, office applications and scientific demonstrations. Through keyword driven Internet research using search engines like Yahoo! and Google, users worldwide have easy, instant access to a vast and diverse amount of online information. Compared to printed media, books, encyclopedias and traditional libraries, the World Wide Web has enabled the decentralization of information on a large scale (author unknown, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet). Yet, they do not take an active part in the design to get rid of powerful Caesar. So, it is not incorrect to state that the chief protagonist of the assassination plot is no one but Caius Cassius. Though the method employed to convert Brutus is quite unprincipled, it shows, no doubt, the skill of a practical man to achieve his objective by hook or by crook. Hence, it can be counted as a plus point in his character. Brutus patriotism and self love impede him from seeing the deep chasm to which he is pushed by artful manipulation. Unlike Brutus, Cassius is a far sighted man. He is aware of the capability of Antony and his solid friendship with Caesar. An important item in his plan is to get rid of Mark Antonyas well, along with Caesar since he concludes that he is a potential danger to their cause. But this is over ruled by Brutus on the premise that it will foul their good intention. Brutus reaction to the suggestion is: Let s be sacrificers, but not butchers, Caius. Act 2 Scene i. Depending on where you get your news, what TV shows you watch, and by which mediums you most frequently consume the media, your individual interpretation of the same event may vary greatly with that of others. The advantages of a 21st century media are unquestionable. In an advanced society it is completely reasonable to assert that differing ideologies are necessary and in fact healthy for a learned civilization. The importance of credible institutions reporting on the behalf of the masses is a vital part of the freedoms expected to be globally upheld. Depersonalization or Cynicism involves pessimism toward one s coworkers and job which may lead to one s eagerness to quit his/her career (Maslach Leiter, 1997). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In most cases, gene duplications are expected to be either selectively neutral or detrimental due to the fitness costs of their maintenance, limiting the ability of a cell to maintain duplicated copies long enough for beneficial mutations to occur (13). However, solutions to this problem have been proposed based on the observation that most new enzyme activities closely resemble the original activity of the enzyme. Active sites of specialized enzymes often bind molecules that have some resemblance to their natural or physiological substrates, although usually with much lower affinity (16). If an enzyme can bind an unintended substrate and catalyze a secondary reaction that is physiologically irrelevant, it is said to have catalytic promiscuity . If this secondary activity becomes physiologically relevant by increasing fitness, selection will favor genetic changes that take advantage of this new activity (11). The promiscuous activity of essential enzymes or those that are constitutively expressed are usually the first to be recruited in the face of an environmental change due to their active and selectable presence in the cell (11). Alternatively, mutations that cause constitutive expression of non essential genes that can be subsequently recruited to produce essential metabolites via their promiscuous activities have been documented (29, 5). For the sake of expense and administrative simplicity, the firewall will be a stateful packet filter firewall, as opposed to an application proxy firewall, which would offer higher security and configurability at the expense of administrative complexity due to the need for a proxy for each application in use by the company. The packet filtering firewall filters traffic based on predefined rules. A network based IDS will be used on all network subnets and the system will be anomaly based. An anomaly based IDS is preferable for its ability to detect zero day attacks. With a signature based IDS, the system uses a set of definitions to detect threats and the definitions must be updated on a regular and ongoing schedule. The system will be passive in its functioning, in that it will not stop threats that it detects. Rather the IDS will send notifications to the IT staff that are tasked with the security of the network. The IT staff will then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As stated by FindLaw.com under Corporate Ethics and Sarbanes Oxley, in order to create code of ethics, an organization must define its most important guiding values, formulate behavioral standards to illustrate the application of those values to the roles and responsibilities of the persons affected, review the existing procedures for guidance and direction as to how those values and standards are typically applied, and establish the systems and processes to ensure that the code is implemented and effective. • 32. Analysis Of The Book Judges The book of Judges is a very structured literary piece that uses chronological structure to make a point and emphasize an idea. Judges narrates the Israelites continual decline in morality and their downward spiral away from God, through the accounts of the judges, minor judges, and individuals. While many people use the book of judgesto teach courage and strength, it would be more accurately described as a book of brokenness and terror. The book of Judges begins with a prologue. The prologue is twofold. The first part of the prologue takes a historical look back on the conquest of the Promised Land, and reemphasizes the failure of Israelite tribes when they did not drive the inhabitance of the land out and fully take the land as God... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first judge introduced is Othniel, who was raised up by the Lord to deliver the Israelites from the king of Mesopotamia. The land of Israel had rest for 40 years under his judgeship. The Israelites went back to what was evil, and their next deliverer was Ehud, a left handed Benjaminite. He delivered them from the Moabite king, Eglon, and the land experienced 80 years of rest. Shamgar is the next judge in the narrative. The striking difference seen here is Shamgar does not have a semitic name or any tribe affiliation, so it is possible that the Israelites were delivered by a Gentile. The next judge, Deborah, is the only woman judge mentioned. She is also said to have been a prophetess, and a judge with actual judicial function, instead of a military leader. All the judges mentioned so far have not been said to have been good and righteous leaders, but it has also not said they have been immoral or corrupt as later judges are, so it can be assumed that they were good judges. This drastically changes as we look at the next judges. The narrative of judges takes a momentary break to mention the Lord sending a prophet to the people of Israel. The prophet reminds the Israelites of the deliverance they received from God in Egypt, and calls them not to fear the gods of the Amorites. The prophet ends with But you have not obeyed my voice (Jud. 6:10). From this point on in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The English Peasant Uprising Essay The English Peasant Uprising was motivated by a growing contempt with the government and clergy following the Black Death which was finally set off by a series of immediate social and economic causes. A shortage of workers followed the Black Death with an estimated forty five per cent of the population dying in England . As entire towns were either deserted or left devoid of life, rural peasants increased their mobility into major cities. This shortage of rural workers led to famine as fields were left to go fallow, placing further economic pressure on the peasant classes who survived as the price of food increased. Schools of thought such as held by the Lollards, followers of theologian and reformer John Wycliffe whom acted as lay preachers, were held responsible for the Uprising as they were critical of the church as an institution, particularly the concept of the Church owning land. As these Lollards travelled and preached their opposition to the Church as temporal power, they resonated with the peasants and became increasingly popular as unlike many of the priests and monks recruited after the Black Death, they were observed to be genuinely pious . The already solid dissatisfaction with the clergy only intensified with the imprisonment of a highly popular Lollard, John Ball. John Ball was imprisoned at Maidstone in Kent when he came into conflict with Simon of Sudbury Archbishop of Canterbury for lay preaching. The Hundred Years war with France is still ongoing at this point which was also adding further pressure to the lower classes due to the taxes needed to fund it. The war was very expensive, which meant more taxes had to be put in place to compensate for the lack of people paying taxes on account of forty five per cent of tax payers being dead. This is reinforced by the quote; For this alliance may so happy prove, To turn your household rancour to pure love.
