s, a new style of music was being created in the Untied States, one that forever
changed the world. Not only did it bring a completely different sound, but it
changed the way people acted, dressed, and even people s lifestyles. This new style
of music became known as Rock and Roll. It drew many from a one way path to a
sea of possibilities musically. Me being a music lover really enjoyed the Rock and
Roll Hall of Fame site. Rock and Roll have sheltered and comforted me in many
times of needs. For as long as I can remember as a kid and throughout my painful
adolescence years, and also as an adult, it has inspired me to appreciate the music of

One memory that music helped me get through was an altercation with my step dad,
who was very mean and abusive towards all of us kids growing up, was a song from

released I would play it over and over as an escape mechanism. My step Dad sure

of life through occupational therapy (OT). I had chosen this topic because my
elderly grandparents were undertaking the acquisition of OT services, and I wanted
to use the research project to improve their experience. I used three main primary
sources to gain insight into elderly problems; two questionnaires, for the elderly,
and OTs, to gain information from both parties, and I interviewed an OT to gain a
better understanding of OT training, experience and the scope of work OTs provide.
Secondary sources such as a documentary, books, webpages and news articles were
used to give credence to the responses, with each being appropriately sourced to ...
Secondary sources were still useful, with webpages/research papers and a
documentary confirming OT and elderly questionnaire responses. Possible bias may
have come from sources; therefore searching was done on more platforms, like the
internet, Tea Tree Gully and School Libraries, and Federal Government resources.
This research diversity reduced bias and contributed to a well rounded, accurate and
higher quality outcome.
Questionnaires elderly and occupational therapists (OT)
This research process focussed on gaining primary, direct information from the
elderly and OTs. The response format of a questionnaire instead of a straight yes/no
answer allowed detailed qualitative answers, giving me a better understanding of the
elderly s problems and OT judgements. I used answers as quantitative data; similar
elderly problems were grouped under a category like mobility and a column graph
was generated to visually show this information. This form of research collection was
extremely relevant and reliable as the information came straight from the source.
Unfortunately, the elderly responses could have bias, as the majority were gathered
from one retirement village in the north eastern suburbs. If this project was to be
redone, this could be rectified by circulating questionnaires to suburbs of different
socio economic backgrounds.

Recidivism is as to relapse in behavior; typically, in criminal behavior. Department of
Justice Measurements of recidivism include new arrest, new convictions, returning to
prison with a new sentence or reincarceration for rest of sentence. Astonishingly
enough, with in a 5 year period in 2010 ,70% of offenders that were released had
been reincarcerated, due to rescinding back to the life of crime.
Regardless of demographic characteristics or the number of prior criminal offenses,
studies show that federal prisoners placed on community supervision consistently
had lower rates of recidivism than state prisoners. Among federal prisoners
conditionally released from federal prison in 2005, half (47%) were arrested
within 5 years, compared to more than three quarters (77%) of state prisoners
released on community supervision in 2005. Federal prisoners (32%) also
returned to prison less often than state prisoners (59%) during that time. Within 5
years of placement on community supervision, less than a third (30%) of federal
prisoners had two or more arrests, compared to more than half (57%) of state
prisoners. More than a third of federal prisoners (37%) had a nonfederal arrest and
a third (29%) had a federal arrest within 5 years following their release. Seventy
five percent of state prisoners had a nonfederal arrest and 4% had a federal arrest
during that time. Overall, 67% of all new arrests among released federal prisoners
were for nonfederal charges, compared to 98% among state prisoner (Recidivism

What I Learned As Well As My Career Essay
The Ninja Watch This paper describes my field experience and what I learned as
well as my career. I was placed in Sharpstown International School, in which I was
with Mr. O Heron. He taught both Pre calculus and Calculus classes. Those two
classes are for seniors and there may have been a few juniors in the pre calculusclass.

Activities
Throughout the field, I barely engaged in any different activities, mainly observe
the students. Though they did ask a few questions. Although I mainly observed, I
did enjoy listening to Mr. O Heron s jokes and stories. Observation is my specialty,
I felt a bit odd being there at first, but eventually I got used to it. I would come in
the class, usually, Mr. O Heron is explaining something to the students and I sit in
the back. I would sometimes sit with the students, but that s with the pre calculus
class. I kept this routine for the rest of the time. There are some points when the
students would ask me a few questions. In the beginning, they asked me some
questions about college, since Mr. O Heron explained some things about college.
The other class, keeping in mind I saw four different classes, they asked for some
help with their math. I ask for them to refer to their notes and point at their mistake.

E. Coli a well known bacteria that lives within our intestines. This particular bacteria
makes vitamins that we need in order to stay healthy. In this experiment we
analyzed the changes seen in bacteria when adding to differing DNA plasmids;
pUC18 and lux. To arrive to the most accurate results possible we had to have the
E. Coli bacteria made permeable to the plasmids. So it was prepared with calcium
chloride. One group of bacteria was given the pUC18 plasmid, and the other group
was given the lux as well as the pUC18 plasmids. We then proceeded to incubate
them in different containers. Some had ampicillin where as some had none. This
was done in order to observe the effect of pUC18, and lux growth patterns. A
control with neither plasmid was used to keep a basis for our experiments.
Bacteria that had transformed and taken in the lux plasmid without ampicilin were
able to illuminate, and only bacteria that gained the pUC18 were capable of
surviving with ampicillin. The results observed reveal how foreign DNA can be

Becoming an Excellent Student
It is very important for me to say I absolutely enjoy music and learning about their
different roots and where they each originate from. Initiating this course I can say I
over estimated myself with how well my grades would be. As time passed, I
realized it was going to a little harder than I thought because many of the topics
covered were completely new information for me. There were some of which I
consider my favorite and others that weren t so appealing. However, in the process
of obtaining the best grade possible in this course there were several of the traditional
values that are published by Alvernia Universitythat helped me transform as a person
and accepted the fact that failure is not an option, but it does help peoplerealize their
strengths and weakness and how to use that in a positive way to improve in
becoming a more excellent student. One of the first traditional values of Alvernia
University I believe I ve always committed to is expecting more of ourselves. As
mentioned previously, at the beginning of the course I had a lot of difficulty
adjusting to the new information I was learning. After not receiving the grade I
would have liked in one of the exams, I came to a conclusion; I had to work harder
to achieve the grades I wanted, if the one hour class wasn t enough. I continued to
have high expectations and encouraged myself to study more frequently, and ask my
classmates for clarification if were confused on any specific area of the course.

Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of
the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there
are many forms of transformation processes, and each has particular facility layout.
What is more, there are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can
choose the one that best fits its needs and potential.
Speaking of the basic forms of transformation systems, there are five of them
