Teenage Problems Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of teenage problems can be a challenging task, as it requires a
delicate balance between empathy, understanding, and objective analysis. The intricacies of
adolescence encompass a wide range of issues, from the emotional turbulence of identity
formation to the social pressures that accompany peer relationships. Tackling this subject
demands a nuanced approach that goes beyond surface-level observations.
To begin with, understanding the diversity of teenage experiences is crucial. Adolescents face a
myriad of challenges, including academic stress, family dynamics, and societal expectations. The
complexities of these issues can be overwhelming, and delving into each requires comprehensive
research to provide a well-rounded perspective.
Moreover, addressing the emotional aspect of teenage problems necessitates a careful exploration
of the psychological factors at play. It's essential to consider the impact of hormonal changes, the
quest for self-discovery, and the influence of external factors such as media and societal norms.
Balancing empathy with a critical analysis of the root causes is vital to ensure a comprehensive
and insightful essay.
Additionally, a successful essay on teenage problems should integrate real-life examples and
personal narratives to make the content relatable. Sharing stories of resilience, personal growth,
or the impact of external interventions can add depth and authenticity to the narrative. However,
maintaining a respectful and non-exploitative tone when discussing personal stories is imperative.
Crafting a compelling conclusion is another aspect that adds to the difficulty of this task.
Summarizing the key points while leaving the reader with a thought-provoking insight requires
finesse. The essay should inspire reflection and perhaps propose potential solutions or avenues
for further exploration of the topic.
In conclusion, writing an essay on teenage problems demands a nuanced understanding of the
subject, empathy for the experiences of adolescents, and a skillful integration of research and
personal narratives. It is a challenging endeavor that requires a delicate balance to navigate the
complexities of this crucial stage of life.

Beowulf And The 13th Warrior Analysis
Kings and Warriors are very bland and dull. However, in this case, Beowulf and The
13th Warrior have a connection. And makes it work on both poem and movie. They
feature vulnerable victims. In addition, they show signs of religion and harsh
imagery. Whereas, In Beowulf , and The 13th Warrior have the same ideas of halls
but used differently, and the settling of their kings otherwise.
To start off, both villages likewise settings have vulnerable victims. Every warrior
and king has to have somebody to protect them from. For example in the poem, the
Danes had a conflict with Grendel and were in trouble by Him. Which resulted of
Beowulf and his men sailing across seas to get there and help them defeat the
monster so called Grendel. Beowulf and his men sail over the sea to the land of the
Danes to offer help to Hrothgar. It shows that they need someone brave enough to
stand up for them; Though they are not capable of themselves. While in The 13th
Warrior they have a conflict by comparison in the poem. In the movie, once the horn
was rung. They knew the herd of monsters on horses were on their way to kill them.
This resulted in the vulnerable victims to go off and hide to try and protect what they
can. While the kings and warriors worry about the rest.
Around this time they were going from paganism to Christianity. In the poem, after
Beowulf is done conquering Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon. He s very
grateful for god giving him the power and riches for him and his people. For this,
this gold, these jewels, I thank Our Father In Heaven, Ruler of earth, for all of this,
that he has given me, allowed me to bring back to my people. Following, the other
similarity was when Ahmed saw all the skulls and said, These are not men. He later
realizes they are monsters who kill, and he is against killing which is one of the 10
commandments in christianity; You shall not kill. Furthermore, in the poem, the
movie uses harsh imagery. One states a descriptive visual while the other one is
shown very vividly and traumatic. For example, from the poem, Out from the marsh,
from the foot of misty hills and bogs, bearing God s hatred, Grendel came, hoping to
kill. This stated a visualize

Cultural influence of the temple of Hera
It is very clear that ancient buildings can be a part of the evidence to show what
happed in the history. As a part of ancient culture, architectural languages have the
significant vale in both culture and construction. The temple of Hera, which becomes
the sign of Greek classic architecture even the whole Europe, plays an important role
in the Greece history and culture . This essay will start an analysis from the
structure and component of the temple of hera to present that how can cultural
factors affect the form and functions of a building. The temple of hera is located in
the site of Olympia, in a valley in the Peloponnesus. As a Doric construction with a
size of 50.01 by 18.76 m with three platforms, some of the walls in the temple of
hera was designed to paint for recording stories happened in earlier times while
some of them was used to depict mythological events. Thus it can be easy to found
that the cultural developed prosperous and stones might start to used as the main
material of Greek buildings since that period. The temple has two statues: Hera and
Jose . In addition, the temple was also used to save
I Want A Wife, By Judy Brady
In her essay I Want a Wife, Judy Brady talks about how she, a married woman,
wants a wife with whom to share household responsibilities. She focuses on all the
concepts that she struggles with as a woman, herself. She is expected to be taking
care of her husband because of societal expectation, but the reality is that she wants
someone to take care of her. The more in depth she goes, the more she emphasizes
the stereotyped aspects of being a wife. From a feminist perspective, Brady argued
that women want freedom to care for themselves and someone who would take care
of them. Brady is tired of dealing with the treatment men gave women in the twenty
first century and before the 1970s. In the 1970s, women took a stand in the public
eye to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These statistics helped women jobs percentages raise from fifty seven percent to
sixty three percent. Slowly but surely, African American and white women who were
interested in doctoral degrees rose up from fifty four to fifty five percent around the
same time. White women made up twenty five to forty four percent of students, while
African American women made up fifty four to fifty five percent. These statistics
show how women stepped foot out of their houses and showed what it takes to get
equal treatment amongst their gender. Stereotyping is one factor, but equal treatment
in the house is also required. Households demanded for a change when the women
rights movement came along. Households became more organized than they had
before. Compared to 1970 to now, government helped legalize birth control for
mothers across the globe. This helped women be able to balance out their lives.
Through legalized birth control for non married women and other family facilities,
one can say that feminism has become the core of the nationwide family planning
system. In the twenty first century, women have become the center of the world.
Females have been taking in traditionally male based jobs such as being television
reporters and military soldiers. The military has been based on men for so many
years, but women who have been in the military have fought hard to fight for their
country alongside men. Many of the women who have succeeded
Donato Bramante Research Paper
Donato Bramante was born in 1444 in Fermignano, Duchy of Urbino. Donato was
born so early on that there is not an exact date. He grew up in Urbino, with his
family. He was born into a farming rich family. His father was a major influence on
his life because he steered Donato towards the direction of painting at a very young
age. Donato eventually became the first High RenaissanceArchitect. He was
educated by reading, writing and practice with the abacus. He served as an assistant
to Piero della Francesca. Donato received most of his training through other artists.
Donato died on March 11th, 1514, at the age of seventy years old. He died in Rome,
Italy. Throughout Donato s life he accomplished many important things, such as,

for the cathedral to be finished. Donato worked with various designers and artists.
One of the most well known was Leonardo Davinci. This is a very large cathedral

United States V Julius Steinnberg And Julius Rosenberg
And...
In early March of 1951, the case United States v Julius Rosenberg, Ethel Rosenberg,
and Morton Sobell argued whether the Rosenbergs planned execution should forgo
or be rescinded for violating the Espionage Act of 1917 and being guilty of starting
the Korean War. In the late 1940 s and early 1950 s the Cold War
was ongoing, with
the United States and the Soviet Unionentrenched in an ongoing battle over the
supremacy of the west. Paul Frazier, an author for the Magazine of History in
Bloomington states, One of the most intriguing aspects of the Cold War relationship
between the Americans and the Soviets was the development of vast networks of
spies and counterspies (Frazier). The United States and the Soviet s relationship
establishes an early conflict between the two nations, further affecting future
diplomatic relations. Julius Rosenberg s sympathy towards the Soviets and anger
towards the United State s current position on the world s economic stage ultimately
led to his act of traitorous espionage. Michael Browning, a writer for the Palm Beach
Post newspaper states, What united the Rosenbergs was a belief in communism,
strengthened by the Depression and Russias fight against Hitler during World War 2 ,
(Browning). The United States depression and Julius s admiration for Russia s fight
against Hitler motivated him to turn against his home nation during a time of crisis.
To conclude, Cold War tensions and Julius s appreciation for Soviet life and
government illustrates
Internet Predators
Why we should be worried about the Deep web
Unknown to most, the Deep Web actually exists and only takes a few clicks on
your computer to access it, if you know what you re doing. Also unknown to most
is the illegal activity and the online predators that are roaming all over the web.
These predators can be financial predators or sexual predators. Throughout this
essay I will be explaining three themes in chronological order. Financial predators,
sexual predators, and discussing why the illegal activity on the Deep web is bad for
society.
Financial predators are everywhere on the web, and they might cost you a fortune.
Financial predators host scams and use fake identities to get bank details to rip you
off through an online purchase that you think is safe. An example of a ... Show more

As thousands of sexual predators roam the web and on most commonly used sites,
only 18% of youth use chat rooms, however the majority of internet initiated sex
crimes against children are initiated in chat rooms. An example of a sexual
predator could be an online predator targeting young victims trying to get sexual
related images from them by targeting young vulnerable people, unable to judge
the seriousness of the situation or through blackmail. This is what happened in the
case of Scottish teenager Daniel Perry earlier this year, resulting in his suicide.
Sexual predators can also be connected to the Deep web by exploiting nudity or
sexual content of a child or young adult on a CP website, which stands for child
pornography. These can also be sold on the Deep web for an exchange of bitcoin.
These are just more examples of why we should be worried and most importantly
informed of how dangerous the Deep web is so we can avoid the bad situations we
may come
The Importance Of Self Abuse Essay
Some use makeup to feel glamorous and others use make up as a way to take time
for themselves. However, should children be introduced to the world of makeup?
At what age is it appropriate to use makeup? It is important for children to build a
solid sense of self before introduction to make up. There are many negative factors
that can develop in a child s mind by introducing them to makeup at a young age,
such as self esteem issues, and blurring what children know as appearance and
reality. Many believe that makeup can be a way to express our identity, but I
believe makeup can be destructive to the development of children and their
identities. When children are young, their self esteem is relatively high because
we as humans are not born with insecurities. As children, we all, typically, had a
very innocent and positive way of seeing ourselves and the world. Many may still
wonder, what is the big deal with letting children play with childhood makeup sets?
For one, if a child is growing up to be comfortable in their body makeup can create
many insecurities that can damage their self image and self worth, but obviously,
these are not the initial reactions that a child may have when they receive their first
makeup kit. Initially, they will be excited with the idea of being able to wear
something that adults wear, but after exploring with makeup over time a child may
think they need make up to look attractive and that their natural beauty is not good
enough. For example,

Retention (in IT Companies) A Case Study of IT Companies in India
Abstract
The IT/ITES sector is the backbone of Indian economy. It earns lot of foreign income
to boost the Indian economy. Even in the economic turmoil over the globe,
particularly in developed countries, though this sector had little affected, could come
out successfully managing the entire economic imbroglio. High attrition in the IT
/ITES industry has always been its greatest concern and a subject of much analysis
and debate. Organizations use different methodologies for calculating their attrition
rate. HR experts feel that it is a know factor that attrition calculation is gray area
which does not always depict the true picture while a few techniques are common
there are no proven theories yet. Further, the approach to this calculation might vary
from organization to organization. The Tamil Nadu, Particularly, Chennai is
considered to be one of the biggest IT hubs in India having presence of very big IT
companies. The availability of skilled employees with cheap labour cost in Tamil
Nadu is an important reason. AT the same time the rate of attrition are also felt in
these companies. Presently, Tier II cities like Madurai, and Coimbatore were taken
place in the IT map. The employee retention is also felt in the IT companies situated
in Madurai also. In this context, the researchers, attempted to find out the reasons for
Iran Imperialism
Maslow s law of the instrument states that if all you have is a hammer, everything
looks like a nail, but what if it works alongside a sickle? As a key player of the
Cold War (1947 1991), the United States (US) has had a dual role in the nuclear
proliferation of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Consequently, this conflict of
imperialism has had major implications for Iranian relations to the present day. Even
with the support of China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom (UK), and the
European Union (EU); Irans path towards peaceful nuclear energy still faces
opposition from the US. In summation, from the nativity of the Second Red Scare in

The Importance Of Art In Education
Art has many uses within society beyond the extent of physical piece. Even without
understanding a piece of art, one can gain insights to their own lives and to the
world around them. Many people wonder why they need to be exposed to art when
they are not working in a field that seems to be related to art at all, however, certain
teachings and studies have shown art to be more important to the development of the
individual than previously thought. One of these teaching methods is found in
Waldorf school curriculum. This style of teaching exposes its students to a variety of
forms of art, both utilitarian and representative. Through different art styles the
teachings help to not only allow the students to better understand and express
themselves, but also to integrate their consciousness with their bodies. Many
Waldorf students go on to pursue careers in scientific fields like medicine or
chemistry, but they often cite their earlier education as the source of their success.
Besides being able to integrate one s mind with one s body, an exposure to art is
important simply to have knowledge outside one s immediate field. This allows the
person to become more well rounded in their every day life, and to achieve different
perspectives and solutions when faced with certain situations or problems. Being
knowledgeable about more than one thing helps people to think differently, and by
thinking differently they can come up with solutions that did not previously exist. It

Plaintiffs contend the forum selection clause limits them to Virginia state court,

Under a decision of the United States Supreme Court, a forum selection clause is un
enforceable if enforcement would contravene a strong public policy of the forum in
which suit is brought. California courts have declared in other cases that the AOL
clause contravenes a strong public policy. If the court applies the doctrine of stare

Comparison Of Euripides Antigone And Lysistrata
Fascinatingly, two dramas can be so diverse all because of one aspect they both
contain but differ in. Written during the 5th century in ancient Athens. Antigone and
Lysistrata both are two important, popular plays that contain a main character that
was female. Although they can both be seen as very similar, they do differ in many
ways. The most important difference between Antigone and Lysistrata is that
Antigone has a community that does not approve of the main characters plans and
although they feel sympathy for her, they take the opposing side, while Lysistrata
has a society of people that come together to help the main character achieve her
goal. This difference is important because the community s actions play a tremendous
role in the overall outcome of the play and the way the original viewers, who were
only men, felt when the play finished. The conclusions and the feelings brought forth
by the dramaindicate the style it was written in, tragedyor comedy. An ending with a
death, leaving an audience feeling sorry creates a tragedy, as an accomplishment from
something completely unrealistic would create a comedy. Antigone s community
does not involve themselves with her decisions which leaves her to fight by herself.
Furthermore, this influences her tragic fate and leads the male Athenians watching to
feel sorry for Antigone but unresponsive of her personal choices. In Lysistrata, the
community joins Lysistrata and accomplishes to stop a war that was going on during

Dementia Patients Communication Skills Essay
Effective Communication Strategies for Health Care Professionals in Dementia Units
For health care professionals (HCP) communicating with dementia patients can be
challenging in most health settings. Dementia is a degenerative disease that causes a
decline in cognitive and functional abilities, as the condition progresses the ability to
communicate worsens (Kilgore, 2015). HCP employed within dementia units require
an individual approach when communicating with patients, as people with dementia
(PWD) can become easily disorientated and confused (Kilgore, 2015). Nonverbal
communication such as listening can uncover underlying problems with patients
health. Whereas, verbal communication is the application of language, such as tone
and simple ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due to dementia patients deteriorating of cognitive function, this may have an
effect on whether or not a message is successfully understood (Downs Collins,
2015). Communication is an extremely important part of caring for people with
dementia, for this reason ensuring information is delivered efficiently and
meaningfully it is imperative for HCP to develop tailored approaches (Downs
Collins, 2015; Kilgore, 2015). Such methods that can improve communication with
dementia patients are reduce rate of speech with verbatim repetition with the use
of simple sentences (de Vries, 2013). Additionally, allowing the person time to
process and respond to what has articulated (de Vries, 2013). When talking to a
PWD, talk in a clear voice and allow them time to respond (McEvoy Plant, 2014).
Closed questions may possibly be used to facilitate the completion of daily activities
whereas, open ended questions can lead to conversations (de Vries, 2013; Kilgore,
2015). It has been assessed when verbally communicating to people with dementia
using a tone that exerts control or infantilising communication also known as elder
speak results in the patient becoming resistant to care (de Vries, 2013). Through
improving interactions with HCP, communication skills can have significance on
improving the quality of life and well being for those living with dementia (McEvoy

Compare Woodchucks And Traveling Through The Dark
Human beings are often times very cruel to wild animals. The poems Woodchucks
by Maxine Kumin and Traveling through the Dark by William Stafford depict two
similar cruel interactions with animals. Both poems feature a narrator who treats
wild animals as lesser beings for the greater good . However, the narrators do not
share the same intentions and guilt. In the end though, both speakers show that they
believe they are in a position of higher value than these animals. In Woodchucks by
Maxine Kumin and Traveling through the Dark by William Stafford, use of diction,
imagery, and tone create a tense and brutal mood that reveals the relationship between
the speaker and the animals.
In the poems, the author s diction helps display the relationship shared between the
speaker and the animals. In Woodchucks , diction helps create a relationship where
the woodchucks deserve to be killed because the damage they ve done. Kumin uses
this as justification for the narrator s malicious slaughtering of the woodchucks; like
in line 12, the woodchucks are not eating the carrots, they are beheading them.
Replacing the word eating with beheading gives off a violent and negative
connotation directed towards the woodchucks. Traveling through the Dark uses a
similar strategy to make the animal seem less significant. In line 6, the dead deer is
described as a heap . Objects associated with the word heap are items of little to no
significance. Stafford exemplifies his use of diction
Thoreau On Civil Disobedience
Konstantin Keller Anne Portman Philosophy 2010 4 December 2015 Thoreau on
Civil Disobedience In Civil Disobedience, Henry Thoreau asserts that one should
prioritize one s conscience over the dictates of law. Thoreau begins his essay by
arguing that government is rarely useful and that its power comes merely from the
fact that the government is the strongest group, rather than because they hold the
most correct viewpoint. He believes that people are obligated to do what they think
is right and to refuse to follow the law as dictated by the majority. If a government is
being unjust, people should distance themselves from that government and refuse to
follow its laws. However, he doesn t believe that people are obligated to commit their
lives to eliminating such evils from the world, but rather they should not participate
in said evils. Because voting and governmental reform is often ineffective, one should
deal with an unjust government by ideologically dissociating one s self from the
government and refusing to participate in its institutions. Thoreau begins by stating
that he agrees with the saying, that government is best which governs least. He says
that, one day, people will be able to have a government which does not govern at all.
In its current state, Thoreau argues that government rarely proves itself useful, and
that it is often abused to the point that it no longer represents the wishes of the
people. According to Thoreau, the American government is a necessity
The Growing Concerns And Uncertainties Over Joshua s...
The growing concerns and uncertainties over Joshua s leadership spiraled in
Deuteronomy, and God ordered Moses to encourage Joshua. The result is an
abundance of inspiring texts that Joshua surely needed (Angel, 2009):
Joshua son of Nun, who attends you, he shall enter it. Imbue him with strength, for
he shall allot it to Israel (Deuteronomy 1:38).
Give Joshua his instructions, and imbue him with strength and courage, for he shall
go across at the head of this people, and he shall allot to them the land that you may
only see (Deuteronomy 3:28).
Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel: Be strong and
resolute, for it is you who shall go with this people into the land that the Lord swore
to their fathers to give them, and it is you who shall apportion it to them
(Deuteronomy 31:7).
And He charged Joshua son of Nun: Be strong and resolute: for you shall bring the
Israelites into the land that I promised them on oath, and I will be with you
(Deuteronomy 31:23).
These fears are carried over into the Book of Joshua. After Moses died, God
encouraged Joshua to be strong and resolute three times in four verses (Angel, 2009):
Be strong and resolute, for you shall apportion to this people the land that I swore
to their fathers to assign to them. But you must be very strong and resolute to
observe faithfully all the Teaching that My servant Moses enjoined upon you . . . . I
charge you: Be strong and resolute; do not be terrified or dismayed, for

Confucian historical texts provide pragmatic solutions to political projects, although
they operated in a culture that was seasoned with value laden principles from a
hybridization of Confucian, Daoist, and Buddhist schools of thought. This paper
focuses on the Confucian Scholar Dong Zhongshu; specifically, I will analyze his
thoughts on the Mandate of Heaven, the connection between the state human body,
and his expectations of rulership. As I proceed with this analysis, I will demonstrate
that Dong Zhongshu had a pragmatic political motive with his desire to be a member
of educated elites known as the junzi. To begin with, I press the rhetorical: question
was Dong Zhongshu a philosopher or an aspiring civil servant with philosophic
tendencies?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This essay builds on what he has already said on the importance of the Mandate of
Heaven. Section one of the essay speaks to it being the role of the ruler to know
the true substance of things which Dong Zhongshu refers to as the practice of
eliminating obstructions (DeBary pp. 298 300). Rulers do this by becoming the
foundation of all state policy. Leading well necessitates a balance of virtue in
between two extremes. Having the responsibility to lead is a heavy burden that
mirrors the character of the ruler. Section two on responsibilities of rulership delves
deeper into the character of rulership. At this point Dong Zhongshu has established
that the heart of any successful state is the virtuous rulership of a sage leader
(DeBary pp. 298 300). Through the ruler the people either for better or for worse
transformed nevertheless that transformation is disseminated by the ruler. Sage rulers
will lead by strong example with inspiration derived from the three foundations of
heaven, earth and humankind. Reflecting on all of that it is apparent to me at least
that what we can see Dong Zhongshu doing in his essay concerning the
responsibilities of rulership advocates for the rulership, propagating political
influence by means of Confucian justification. Once again reiterating the point that to
oppose the rulership is to oppose the heavens. By fusing cosmology with the
Why Is Henry Ford Important
Have you ever wondered why we are able to produce so many products in such a
short period of time? Without Henry Ford our technology might be a few years
behind. Henry Ford s love for cars at a young age, his invention of assembly lines, and
his famous auto manufacturing company are what make him so important. Henry Ford
loved cars since he was young. He was born on July 30, 1863, in Michigan. Henry
first worked on his family s farm, however he didn t enjoy it. When he was sixteen
years old Henry went down a different path and got an apprenticeship as a
machinist. In those years he found his passion and learned how to work on steam
engines ( Henry Ford ). In 1913, Henry Ford installed the first ever assembly line. His

Verbal Irony In Romeo And Juliet
At the end of Act 3, Juliet and Romeo part after their wedding night only for Juliet
to learn her father has arranged her marriage to Paris in two days. The conversation
with her mother about Juliet s sorrow over Tybalt leads Juliet to suppress her
feelings for Romeo. In an aside or a small conversation to herself, Juliet states,
Villain and [Romeo] be many miles asunder. / God pardon him! I do, with all my
heart; / And yet no man like he doth grieve my heart (3.5.81 81). This statement helps
to show the audience Juliet s true feelings while talking to her mother in this scene.

This relationship and newfound determination from Juliet to stay true to Romeo
drives the rest of the play and ultimately her death. Later in the argument with her
mother, Juliet uses verbal irony or says exactly what she does not mean when
discussing her wish not to get married. Juliet shows her distaste for marriage by
saying, I will not marry yet, and when I do I swear / It shall be Romeo, whom you
know I hate, / Rather than Paris... (3.5. 21 23). This clear verbal irony further
develops the change in Juliet occurring in the play and at the same time brings a
comedic element into the argument. The fact that Romeo and Juliet are already
married makes the audience chuckle when Juliet claims she hates the man whom
she snuck out her window just moments before. The audience laughs at this claim
because Juliet is telling the truth in a way that goes above her mother s head but
not above the audience s. This example of verbal irony also shows Juliet s new
defiant nature. Through this quote we see how Juliet has grown to lie directly to her
parent s while before she would not have dreamed to do such a thing. By directly
telling her mother that she would rather marry Romeo to make a point not to get
married, she shows her newfound deceptive

Professionalism In The Workplace
Introduction Professionalism is a term that has existed for a long time. Its definition
varies from one individual or era to the other. For some, being professional is seen
as dressing elegantly at work, or doing an excellent job. For others, however, being
professional is translated as having higher degrees or other certifications. Nonetheless,
professionalism comprises all of these definitions, although it also constitutes much
more. It is the level of aptitude or excellence, as well as the aim, conduct or qualities
that professionals have. A professionis a compensated occupation that necessitates
one to have formal credentials and training as well as a certain range of skills. The

In most cases, applying expert knowledge at work can help solve major
organizational problems as experts incorporate their skills in the affected areas.
Further, unlike in the traditional setups where professionals were self employed
and worked as individuals, change in times has led to experts becoming a part of
large organizations. In the current world, all professionals are a part of a larger
group that regulate and govern their activities and services. Therefore, there is lesser
recognition or value of such as compared to professionals in the past, who were
vastly renowned and provided their services to a large portion of society (Butterfield,
Analysis Of The Funerary Stele Of Amenemhat I
The title of this artwork is the Funerary Stele of Amenemhat I and was created by
an unknown Egyptian artist from the 11th dynasty. This artwork was completed
around 2000 B.C. The size of this artwork is 11 x 15 and it is located in the
Brooklyn Museum of Art. The medium of Funerary Stele of Amenemhat I is
limestone. In the artwork, the concept of contour lines is used to draw the objects
such as the table and Egyptians. The lines are black and thin, somewhat showing
definition to the art piece. The majority of the colorscheme in the positive includes
neutral colors. Warm tones with tan to dark brownshades are incorporated into the
skin tones of the Egyptians. The color greenis also used in the artwork which

The element of art being most emphasized is color. There is a contrast in the
artwork in the negative, The wall has cool and high key tones which contrast with
the Egyptians and food that has warm and neutral colors. Although the artwork is
not symmetrical, the light green color shown in the small details such as the
carvings on the wall, necklaces, and food contribute a balance of colors within the
artwork. In the artwork, there is a variation of curved lines and shapes that also
bring the piece together. For examples, the lines are curvacious on the elbows,
shoulders, and necklaces of the Egyptians and the objects around them. There are
rhythm and pattern shown through the lines and shapes because most of the art
piece has a bulbous form like the rounding of the shoulders or the circular shape of
the heads. The art piece also seems to be scratchy because of the chips in the stone
and the edges of the stone have faded limestone. The two men sitting and facing each
other have a contrast of color to the rest of the art piece making them emerge into a
more noticeable figure than the rest.
The title Funerary Stele of Amenemhat I is from the Middle Kingdom. Funerary is a
magical offering formula to provide deceased ones with necessary offerings in the
afterlife. Stela is a slab of stone, wood or any other material that bear an inscription

Rousseau s Criticisms Of The Progress And Prosperity
Rousseau s Criticisms of the Progress and Prosperity In an essay contest seeming
to beckon praise for the arts and sciences, Jean Jacques Rousseau presents a
criticism. In 1750, a time when man seems to be tirelessly working to conquer
nature by reason and believes progress to almost exclusively be this conquering of
nature, Rousseau forms his thoughts around the inherent goodness of nature. He
presents what he believes to be man s original state of nature and then delves into
the corruptions caused by what he argues not this original state, but civil society.
Through his First Discourse (also referred to as Discourse on the Sciences and
Arts) and Second Discourse (also referred to as Discourse on Inequality), Rousseau
presents convincing flaws in the enlightened visions of progress and prosperity of
early modern philosophers. To provide a more clear presentation of Rousseau s
refutations, I will specifically focus on his responses to two early modern
philosophers: Hobbes and Locke. Also, before I delve into Rousseau s criticisms, I
will present areas in which he agrees with Hobbes and Locke. Rousseau, Hobbes, and
Locke all agree that there was an original state of nature in which man had pure
natural tendencies. They both also concur that man, in his natural state and beyond,
needs to sustain himself. From this, they all, too, agree that man has a need for self
preservation. Rousseau uses these points of agreement as foundations for his
criticisms, but beyond these,

I view petroleum engineering as an exciting and challenging career. With the recent
drop in oil prices and a growing push for clean energy, one is tempted to ask How
long will the oil price remain low? , What does the future hold for crude oil and
petroleum engineers? Although the reserves of readily available crude oil in the
world today are declining, these reservoirs are still over half full with untapped
resources since the maximum expected oil recovery rate is between 40% 60% of the

The technological advances in the field of enhanced oil recovery(EOR) such as
Plasma Pulse Technique (PPT) , microbial injection and гЂ–COгЂ—_2 EOR process

There are several causal factors that led to this event. The National Transportation
Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the probable causes of this accident were the
flight crew s failure to discontinue the approach when severe thunderstorms and their
associated hazards to flight operations had moved in the airport area, and the crew s
failure to ensure that the spoilers had extended after touchdown. Contributing factors
of the flight crews determination to land in the inclement weather are: (1) impaired
performance resulting from miscommunication associated with the intent to land
under the circumstances, (2) continuation of the approach to a landing when the
company s maximum crosswind component was exceeded, (3) failure of the spoilers
to deploy, and (4) use of reverse thrust greater than 1.3 engine pressure ratio after
landing. (NTSB, 2001). Weather Weather observation at Little Rock National Airport

Story Of An Hour Analysis
The Story of an Hour by Kate Choplin is only one thousand words long; yet there is
strong character development throughout. It also has seemingly strong undertones of
social issues, such as independence as a woman in the 1800s. Many of those in the
literary field argue whether Choplin s intention was to have underlaying tones of
positivity and feminism, or if it is a story about irony told through a woman named
Louise Mallard, a woman with heart troubles who dies of happiness when she finds
out that her husband is in fact still alive. Lawrence I. Berkove argues the latter with
refuting arguments and a close analysis of the text with evidence. Berkove starts his
argumentoff by refuting other arguments on the topic of this short story. He
references the standard for the interpretation of the story by Toth and Seyersted;
that the story of Louise Mallard is an extreme example of the theme of self
assertion [and] feminist bent whereas he believes Louise is an immature egotist and
a victim of her own extreme self assertion. He elaborates on his refutation by stating
these positions are all read into the story from non textual assumptions. Since the
narrator is not first person it is third person omniscient we cannot assume that the
narrator is a reliable narrator. He backs up this argument by showing that the narrator
is contradicted by other textual evidence, as well as citing paragraphs 12, 13, and 14.
Within these paragraphs, the narrator tries to take the audience into Louise s mind,
however...there is no textual evidence of also ascribing them to the narrator. Lousie
thinks that she wants to live for herself instead of for her husband and that can be
interpreted as wanting to be an independent woman. However, Berkove explains that
this is not the case and her justifications are extravagant, unrealistic statements and
that she does not love her husband for the original reasons she married him anymore.
Berkove also furthers his argument that Louise essentially killed herself, by
analyzing the text itself and its possible connotations. Since the story begins with the
line Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, although vague, it gives the
reader inference to base her actions on
The Main Factors Of An Opportunity Cost
1. Resources are the goods or services available to individuals and businesses used to
produce valuable consumer products.
Capital goods are the tools, equipment, machinery, and factories used in the
production of goods and services.
An opportunity cost is basically the cost of the next best alternative.
Economics is the study of how people try to satisfy seemingly unlimited and
competing wants through the careful use of relatively scarce sources.
There are four factors of production. All four are required to produce goods and
services and they include land, capital, labor, and entrepreneurs.
Government can invest in a human capital by providing education and health care.
Human Capital is the sum of people s skill, abilities, health, knowledge, and
motivation.
Scarcity is the condition that results from society not having enough resources to
produce all the things people would like to have.
Utility is the ability or capacity of a good or service to be useful and give satisfaction
to someone.
Inflation is a rise in the general level of prices.
Fixed income is an income that does not increase even though the prices go up.
Voluntary Exchange is the act of buyers and sellers freely and willingly engaging in
market transactions.
Consumer Sovereignty recognizes the role of the consumer as sovereign, or ruler, of
the market. The phrase the customer is always right reflects this power.

to the potential policy change, taxes do not affect equality nor efficiency of the
economy. It is merely a transfer of money. Equality and efficiency are the two most...

however, the numbers are significant enough to imply a decline in criminal activity.

Disability Theory And Feminist Analysis
This article discusses compares disability theory and feminist theory of women s
bodies. Garland Thomson states, ...to fully understand the social construction of
women s bodies we must also examine the impact of disability and social reactions to
it (Garland Thomson, 86). The idea for this article is to uncover the similarities about
disability and the womans body and to understand that both have been socially
constructed to divide and add levels of stereotypes to them. Looking at the aspect in
which women s bodies are being mistreated, shunned, and stereotyped, there is a
correlation in the ways disabilities are seen as well. The author breaks down the four
domains of the feminist theorythat can directly correlate to disability; representations,
the body, identity, and activism. Regarding representations, the article... Show more

I was intrigued as to how the author would correlate both topics. I never really
realized how much women s bodies are truly idealized. On the most basic level I
understand how women s bodies are being mistreated, but not to this extent. Then
making the parallels to disabled bodies, I am amazed. Looking at the Saartje
Bartmann example, I see a different stereotype. During this era, the African
American woman s body has been sexualized now. Bartmann was sexualized, but
more so taunted than celebrated. Now I see that women of all cultures are starting
to follow the trend of being curvier to appeal to men. Almost as if Saartje body
image is coming back but in a more acceptable today. While reading, I wondered
how would this society be if people did not cultural appropriate the black culture and
turn the image of the Bartmann s body into something to be adored? Also, what
would happen if women and disabled bodies fight the stereotypes placed on them by
society? Would that change the images we see on social media, and primetime
Argument Against A Paid Maternity Leave Essay
All of the above are strong arguments for the pressing necessity of a mandated paid
maternity leave. Nevertheless, the many opponents of this initiative are arguing
otherwise.
One argument against a paid maternity leave is based on the assumption that one of
the parents should not be working in the first place. In other words, a full time stay at
home parent is beneficial to the development of the child and therefore a paid limited
time maternity leave is redundant and is simply a waste of resources. Suzanne
Venker, a writer, insists that According to Public Agenda, 70% of parents with
children under age five believe having a parent at home is best. And 63% disagree
that children in daycare receive just as good care and attention as with a stay at
home parent. These findings are commensurate with 2014 Pew data that shows 60%
of Americans say children are better off when a parent stays home to focus on the
family. ( Why Paid Maternity Leave Is Not the Answer. ) According to these
findings, Americans are unlikely to agree to encourage mothers to put their children
in childcare and go back to work, let alone spend money on a paid maternity leave.
Nice try, Ms. Venker, but let s continue to read the mentioned 2014 Pew data till the
end: Stay at home mothers are younger, poorer and less educated than their working
counterparts. For example, 34% of stay at home mothers are poor, compared with
12% of working mothers. ( 7 Key Findings about Stay at home Moms. ) Let s

Female Athletes And Professional Sports Essay
Women in professional sports fits into the Sex and Power: Global Gender
Inequality class because many female athletes have experienced the inequalities in
a professional sports setting. Female athletes are being put down by gender
inequalities, causing less females participating in athletic programs. Women
athletes are being paid less than their male counterparts. Along with being paid
less, female and males are receiving unequal benefits in the form of scholarship,
media coverage, transportation, and stadium conditions. The professional sport s
world is filled with the obsession of body image and sexuality. Through this
obsession, female athletes have been abused from the people they trust the most.
There is an increasing inequality in women s professional sports in the form of
pay, sexuality, and abuse. Twenty seven Division I colleges participated in a study
where researchers found male athletes received almost six hundred dollars more in
scholarships than female athletes and coaches of male teams earned around
190,000 dollars more than coaches of female teams (Kenschaft Clark, 2016: 355).
To earn almost 200,000 dollars more for coaching males instead of females, is only
contributing to the sexist theories of women in sports. We wonder why so many
female teams cannot find strong coaches but they are all headed to coach the men s
teams to receive more money. The U.S. Women s National Soccer Team received
two million dollars for winning the 2015 Women s World Cup, while
Health Care Screening Program Essay
The last three months have been a busy time, evaluating the needs of the SC Lions
Foundation and South Carolina Lions Charitable Services, while continuing to work
on grant opportunities and other sources of funding. SCLCS and SCLF are at a
crossroads for many of the programs, funding and service opportunities. There are
several areas that SCLCS and SCLF need to address for the organizations to remain
successful.
South Carolina Lions Charitable Services has a long history of helping the residents
of South Carolina that require assistance with vision and hearing needs. Our Health
Care Screening Program is an important tool to ensure the health and well being of
school age children throughout the state. There are major obstacles to our securing
the necessary funding to keeps our programs fiscally healthy: the name of our
organization, attempting to secure funds under the auspices of the Foundation and
community perception regarding our services.
South Carolina Lions Charitable Services focuses on serving the vision and hearing
needs of the uninsured residents of South Carolina. Our Health Screening Program,
in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Services is an important
tool to ensure the health and wellbeing of school age children. We are working
diligently to bring screening services to many area schools. Unfortunately, our name
does not reflect the wonderful services that we offer. People that call our office are
often looking for charitable services
A Study On Diabetes Mellitus
Part A 1. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (previously described as non insulin dependent
diabetes) is a condition due to hyperglycemia that accompanies a relative rather than
an absolute insulin deficiency. It appears as a consequence of the alteration
(genetically inherited or acquired) of insulin secretion, sometimes associated with
peripheral insulin resistance.
Impaired ability to absorb certain macronutrients such as carbohydrates, lipids and
proteins can lead to a large spectrum of chronic complications that involve more or
less all tissues of the human body. Globally, an estimated 422 million adults are living
with diabetes mellitus, according to the latest 2016 data from the World Health
Organization. Diabetes Mellitus affects an estimated 29.1 million people in the
United States and is the 7th leading cause of death.
T2DM includes a heterogeneous group of diseases that associate in different
degrees two major metabolic defects: beta cell insulin secretion defect and insulin
resistance of the peripheral tissues. Obesity and insulin resistance are characteristic
for the majority (80 90%) of T2DM cases (Obese T2DM). The sine qua non
condition for the progression from the preclinical phases (prediabetes) to the overt
hyperglycemia stages is represented by the presence of the insulin secretion beta cell
defect. A lack of compensation for insulin resistance will lead to evolution towards
T2DM. The first sign of
What Is Freud’s Unconscious Theory and How Is It
Applied...
What is Freud s unconscious theory and how is it applied in the art work of Dada
/ surrealist artists?
Sigmund Freud was a Jewish Austrian neurologist who founded the discipline of
psychoanalysis. Freud went on to develop theories about the unconscious mind. The
concept of the unconscious theory was central to Freud s ideas of the human mind. He
first introduced his ideas around the unconscious theory when trying to explain what
happens to ideas that are repressed but remain in the mind.
In Freud s original outline of the main principles to the theory, he believed the mind
was made up of 3 systems the unconscious, preconscious, and the conscious. The
unconscious part of the mind is made up of hidden desires, impulses or wishes of ...

This can lead to one of the most difficult and self destructive problems in humans;
unconscious guilt or anxiety as the Id, Ego, and Super Ego struggle to keep in balance.
Lastly, there are two more principles; the Reality Principle, and the Pleasure
Principle, which make up Freud s Theory of the Unconscious. The Pleasure
Principle is linked to the unconscious and it is impulsive, primitive and
disorganized. According to Freud, it rules people from birth and it is basically to
do with the gratification of sexual urges. The pleasure principle is always the main
motive force of the unconscious as it pushes people towards immediate
gratification of their wishes. This is the tendency behind all natural impulses and
urges. In contrast, as a person matures and has to work in a social environment, the
Reality Principle comes into play. It involves conscious, logical thinking and lets
us delay gratification in order to get on with everyday life. This principle causes
sexual energy to be redirected to safer and more socially acceptable behavior such
as into some sort of creative outlet e.g art. Therefore it is being repressed into the
unconscious or preconscious mind. It is a constant tug of war between the pleasure
and reality principles, but if it were not for the development of the reality principle
we would be in trouble we wouldn t be able to delay gratification, estimate
consequences, or assess reality.
Freud s Theory of the Unconscious is evident in art work
What Was The Cult Of Domesticity In The 1800 s
Abolitionism, Nullification, Cult of Domesticity all of which are major themes that
occur during the early 1830 s. The following ideas may not be heavily related but,
together they helped Martin Van Buren get elected President of The United States.
Abolitionism which was a movement before and during the civil war to put an end
to slavery in the United States. The Nullification Crisis was a United States political
crisis beginning with the tariff of abominations of 1828, occurring during the
presidency of Andrew Jackson, involving a conflict between South Carolinaand the
United States Federal Government. The Cult of Domesticity also known as the cult
of true womanhood is a term used by many historians to describe what they consider
to be a triumphing value system among middle and upper class women during the
1800 s in the United States. All of the following helped Martin Van Burento become
president which is not very important in American history but, the way Van Buren
became president is extremely important in American history. More importantly, The
Nullification Crisis, The Cult of Domesticity and Abolitionism were themes that
foretold and even bigger conflict the Civil War.
The Nullification Crisis was a major political crisis that began with the Tariff of

Curriculum Design
Curriculum Design for Inclusive Practice Throughout this essay I will critically
analyse the principles and processes of curriculum design, looking at how they apply
to my own curriculum. I will look at both formal and informal elements of curriculum
and also my own inclusive practice and how effective it is. Let me begin with the
definition of curriculum. The word originated in Greece where it literally meant a
course. The running and chariot tracks were the course it related to. In Latin the
curriculum was a racing chariot and currere meant to run, Smith(1996,2000). Over
the years the curriculum has evolved with political, economic and social
environments all having their influences. According to the New Oxford Dictionary of

I will try to explain a little about each of these in turn. The Outcome or Product
model is closely associated with the works of Ralph Tyler and Frank Bobbit. The
works of the American theorists dates back to as early as 1918. Bobbits work The
Curriculum talked of a learning cycle focusing on learning targets which are often
used in military teaching as it breaks jobs into processes so as not to allow room
for thought. Tyler (1949), questioned how learning experiences can be selected by
the teacher to be useful in attaining objectives or be organized for effective
instruction and evaluation and how staff may work on curriculum building. Blooms
(1965) Taxonomy taught us to teach to a higher level, aiming for our students to not
just be able to answer a question but also analyse and evaluate and create from
information they had learnt. The Content model tends to emphasize the importance
of learning skills and ideas within a predetermined domain. The syllabus is a list of
facts or ideas where the teachers or trainers act as facilitators of instruction rather
than simply lecturers; although many content based programs for the gifted place a
strong emphasis on lecture and discussion, VanTassel Baska (1986).The curriculum
is organized in sequences of its content and so by its very nature, making a
proficiency based model for achievement outcomes is very feasible. Keating, (1976),
Cultural Imperialism In America
America has always been imperialistic. The existence of an imperialist America is a
fact that cannot be denied. During the war between America and Spain, America
illustrated its imperialistic views when it prompted the government to establish a plan
to merge the remaining overseas territories: the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Guam.
Also, America has been in the process of converting their domestic industries into a
global empire, which has the potential to capture the world market, acquire natural
resources from foreign sources, and sell its surplus industrial agriculture. Overall,
America is imperialist and both historical and current events illustrate how America
upholds imperialism, which comes several forms including military, economic...

First of all, English, America s most widely spoken language, has become the world
s lingua franca, partially due to British imperialism but also because of American
cultural imperialism. It is an international language. In many countries such as
Philippines, they believe that English is superior and will provide more opportunities
than their mother language. The Philippines uses English in government, business,
education, etc. rather than Tagalog. It, along with countless other countries, has the
mentality that if its people do not learn English, they will fall behind in global
development. Travelers come everywhere over the world also use English as their
communication. Also, America s pop culture has achieved extreme popularity;
almost all of the food or drinks that people eat everyday comes from America, for
example, Starbucks, McDonald s, Coca Cola, and more. Starbucks has spread all
over the world and according to their website, there are more than 21,000 stores in 65
countries worldwide ( Starbucks Coffee International ). In addition, American
clothing brands and pop music are more prevalent than ever. With that being said,
American cultural imperialism is trying to spread America s ideals worldwide
through pop culture and subtly push other countries to assimilate into American
Huckleberry Finn Comparison Essay
ROUGH DRAFT
Abstract
This paper presents a descriptive analysis of four characters of the novel The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn written by Mark Twain. The paper compares and
contrasts such duos as Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer, and Pap Finn and Jim
the slave. These very characters were chosen for the analysis and arranged in such
pairs not accidentally; such choice is caused by different ways of living of the
characters as well as by the distinctions of their nature.
Introduction
Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyerare two perfectly known characters among the
American readers. In fact, they are a very prominent duo in American literature.
These two boys absolutely differ from each other in almost every way. One can even
say that Huck and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Obviously, Tom Sawyer envies Huck Finn s freedom. As it is known from the Mark
Twain novel, Sawyer resents going to church, visiting Sunday school, and washing.
Tom skips classes at regular school and stays away from doing tasks such as
whitewashing the fence. Besides, Tom envies Huckleberry s simple and free way
of living (Wolff). Paradoxically, all the boys, including Tom Sawyer, who have a
strong desire to be as free as Huck is and are jealous of his way of life, could not
survive under the conditions that Huck faces. However, while Tom is jealous of
Finn s lifestyle, the latter admires Sawyer s book learning and perceives him as a
perfect model of civilized behavior. Huckleberry does not question the boy s
knowledge when Sawyer tells what pirates wear; he simply admires Sawyer and
eagerly follows him. Finally, Tom Sawyer is a conventional person to the society and
its limits, while Huckleberry Finn is an outcast, nonconformist, and a free soul who
treasures his own freedom.

Bicornuate Uterus Research Paper
My greatest success is the day my daughter was born. That entire day would be
considered as my crowning achievement because before she was born, my doctor
told me that there was a very high chance that I could give birth around 20 weeks
and even miscarry before then due to my bicornuate uterus. A bicornuate uterus is
where the uterus has two horns and usually the baby can only grow in one side, so
it lowers the survival chance of the baby. I was, what is known as, a high risk
pregnancyand had to take extra care in day to day life; no lifting anything over five
pounds and not being on my feet for too long. When I thought of giving birth, I had
an entire plan set up. I had pictured my water breaking, contractions being hard but
not insane, going

Teenage Problems Essay. Adolescence Essay Essay on Adolescence for Students and Children in ...

  • 1. Teenage Problems Essay Writing an essay on the topic of teenage problems can be a challenging task, as it requires a delicate balance between empathy, understanding, and objective analysis. The intricacies of adolescence encompass a wide range of issues, from the emotional turbulence of identity formation to the social pressures that accompany peer relationships. Tackling this subject demands a nuanced approach that goes beyond surface-level observations. To begin with, understanding the diversity of teenage experiences is crucial. Adolescents face a myriad of challenges, including academic stress, family dynamics, and societal expectations. The complexities of these issues can be overwhelming, and delving into each requires comprehensive research to provide a well-rounded perspective. Moreover, addressing the emotional aspect of teenage problems necessitates a careful exploration of the psychological factors at play. It's essential to consider the impact of hormonal changes, the quest for self-discovery, and the influence of external factors such as media and societal norms. Balancing empathy with a critical analysis of the root causes is vital to ensure a comprehensive and insightful essay. Additionally, a successful essay on teenage problems should integrate real-life examples and personal narratives to make the content relatable. Sharing stories of resilience, personal growth, or the impact of external interventions can add depth and authenticity to the narrative. However, maintaining a respectful and non-exploitative tone when discussing personal stories is imperative. Crafting a compelling conclusion is another aspect that adds to the difficulty of this task. Summarizing the key points while leaving the reader with a thought-provoking insight requires finesse. The essay should inspire reflection and perhaps propose potential solutions or avenues for further exploration of the topic. In conclusion, writing an essay on teenage problems demands a nuanced understanding of the subject, empathy for the experiences of adolescents, and a skillful integration of research and personal narratives. It is a challenging endeavor that requires a delicate balance to navigate the complexities of this crucial stage of life. If you find yourself struggling with this task or similar assignments, consider seeking assistance. • 2. Beowulf And The 13th Warrior Analysis Kings and Warriors are very bland and dull. However, in this case, Beowulf and The 13th Warrior have a connection. And makes it work on both poem and movie. They feature vulnerable victims. In addition, they show signs of religion and harsh imagery. Whereas, In Beowulf , and The 13th Warrior have the same ideas of halls but used differently, and the settling of their kings otherwise. To start off, both villages likewise settings have vulnerable victims. Every warrior and king has to have somebody to protect them from. For example in the poem, the Danes had a conflict with Grendel and were in trouble by Him. Which resulted of Beowulf and his men sailing across seas to get there and help them defeat the monster so called Grendel. Beowulf and his men sail over the sea to the land of the Danes to offer help to Hrothgar. It shows that they need someone brave enough to stand up for them; Though they are not capable of themselves. While in The 13th Warrior they have a conflict by comparison in the poem. In the movie, once the horn was rung. They knew the herd of monsters on horses were on their way to kill them. This resulted in the vulnerable victims to go off and hide to try and protect what they can. While the kings and warriors worry about the rest. Around this time they were going from paganism to Christianity. In the poem, after Beowulf is done conquering Grendel, Grendel s mother, and the dragon. He s very grateful for god giving him the power and riches for him and his people. For this, this gold, these jewels, I thank Our Father In Heaven, Ruler of earth, for all of this, that he has given me, allowed me to bring back to my people. Following, the other similarity was when Ahmed saw all the skulls and said, These are not men. He later realizes they are monsters who kill, and he is against killing which is one of the 10 commandments in christianity; You shall not kill. Furthermore, in the poem, the movie uses harsh imagery. One states a descriptive visual while the other one is shown very vividly and traumatic. For example, from the poem, Out from the marsh, from the foot of misty hills and bogs, bearing God s hatred, Grendel came, hoping to kill. This stated a visualize

  • 4. I Want A Wife, By Judy Brady In her essay I Want a Wife, Judy Brady talks about how she, a married woman, wants a wife with whom to share household responsibilities. She focuses on all the concepts that she struggles with as a woman, herself. She is expected to be taking care of her husband because of societal expectation, but the reality is that she wants someone to take care of her. The more in depth she goes, the more she emphasizes the stereotyped aspects of being a wife. From a feminist perspective, Brady argued that women want freedom to care for themselves and someone who would take care of them. Brady is tired of dealing with the treatment men gave women in the twenty first century and before the 1970s. In the 1970s, women took a stand in the public eye to... Slowly but surely, African American and white women who were interested in doctoral degrees rose up from fifty four to fifty five percent around the same time. White women made up twenty five to forty four percent of students, while African American women made up fifty four to fifty five percent. These statistics show how women stepped foot out of their houses and showed what it takes to get equal treatment amongst their gender. Stereotyping is one factor, but equal treatment in the house is also required. Households demanded for a change when the women rights movement came along. Households became more organized than they had before. Compared to 1970 to now, government helped legalize birth control for mothers across the globe. This helped women be able to balance out their lives. Through legalized birth control for non married women and other family facilities, one can say that feminism has become the core of the nationwide family planning system. In the twenty first century, women have become the center of the world. Females have been taking in traditionally male based jobs such as being television reporters and military soldiers. The military has been based on men for so many years, but women who have been in the military have fought hard to fight for their country alongside men. Many of the women who have succeeded

  • 6. United States V Julius Steinnberg And Julius Rosenberg And... In early March of 1951, the case United States v Julius Rosenberg, Ethel Rosenberg, and Morton Sobell argued whether the Rosenbergs planned execution should forgo or be rescinded for violating the Espionage Act of 1917 and being guilty of starting the Korean War. In the late 1940 s and early 1950 s the Cold War was ongoing, with the United States and the Soviet Unionentrenched in an ongoing battle over the supremacy of the west. Paul Frazier, an author for the Magazine of History in Bloomington states, One of the most intriguing aspects of the Cold War relationship between the Americans and the Soviets was the development of vast networks of spies and counterspies (Frazier). The United States and the Soviet s relationship establishes an early conflict between the two nations, further affecting future diplomatic relations. Julius Rosenberg s sympathy towards the Soviets and anger towards the United State s current position on the world s economic stage ultimately led to his act of traitorous espionage. Michael Browning, a writer for the Palm Beach Post newspaper states, What united the Rosenbergs was a belief in communism, strengthened by the Depression and Russias fight against Hitler during World War 2 , (Browning). The United States depression and Julius s admiration for Russia s fight against Hitler motivated him to turn against his home nation during a time of crisis. To conclude, Cold War tensions and Julius s appreciation for Soviet life and government illustrates
  • 7. Internet Predators Why we should be worried about the Deep web Unknown to most, the Deep Web actually exists and only takes a few clicks on your computer to access it, if you know what you re doing. Also unknown to most is the illegal activity and the online predators that are roaming all over the web. These predators can be financial predators or sexual predators. Throughout this essay I will be explaining three themes in chronological order. Financial predators, sexual predators, and discussing why the illegal activity on the Deep web is bad for society. Financial predators are everywhere on the web, and they might cost you a fortune. Financial predators host scams and use fake identities to get bank details to rip you off through an online purchase that you think is safe. An example of a ... As thousands of sexual predators roam the web and on most commonly used sites, only 18% of youth use chat rooms, however the majority of internet initiated sex crimes against children are initiated in chat rooms. An example of a sexual predator could be an online predator targeting young victims trying to get sexual related images from them by targeting young vulnerable people, unable to judge the seriousness of the situation or through blackmail. This is what happened in the case of Scottish teenager Daniel Perry earlier this year, resulting in his suicide. Sexual predators can also be connected to the Deep web by exploiting nudity or sexual content of a child or young adult on a CP website, which stands for child pornography. These can also be sold on the Deep web for an exchange of bitcoin. These are just more examples of why we should be worried and most importantly informed of how dangerous the Deep web is so we can avoid the bad situations we may come
  • 8. The Importance Of Self Abuse Essay Some use makeup to feel glamorous and others use make up as a way to take time for themselves. However, should children be introduced to the world of makeup? At what age is it appropriate to use makeup? It is important for children to build a solid sense of self before introduction to make up. There are many negative factors that can develop in a child s mind by introducing them to makeup at a young age, such as self esteem issues, and blurring what children know as appearance and reality. Many believe that makeup can be a way to express our identity, but I believe makeup can be destructive to the development of children and their identities. When children are young, their self esteem is relatively high because we as humans are not born with insecurities. As children, we all, typically, had a very innocent and positive way of seeing ourselves and the world. Many may still wonder, what is the big deal with letting children play with childhood makeup sets? For one, if a child is growing up to be comfortable in their body makeup can create many insecurities that can damage their self image and self worth, but obviously, these are not the initial reactions that a child may have when they receive their first makeup kit. Initially, they will be excited with the idea of being able to wear something that adults wear, but after exploring with makeup over time a child may think they need make up to look attractive and that their natural beauty is not good enough. For example,

  • 11. The Importance Of Art In Education Art has many uses within society beyond the extent of physical piece. Even without understanding a piece of art, one can gain insights to their own lives and to the world around them. Many people wonder why they need to be exposed to art when they are not working in a field that seems to be related to art at all, however, certain teachings and studies have shown art to be more important to the development of the individual than previously thought. One of these teaching methods is found in Waldorf school curriculum. This style of teaching exposes its students to a variety of forms of art, both utilitarian and representative. Through different art styles the teachings help to not only allow the students to better understand and express themselves, but also to integrate their consciousness with their bodies. Many Waldorf students go on to pursue careers in scientific fields like medicine or chemistry, but they often cite their earlier education as the source of their success. Besides being able to integrate one s mind with one s body, an exposure to art is important simply to have knowledge outside one s immediate field. This allows the person to become more well rounded in their every day life, and to achieve different perspectives and solutions when faced with certain situations or problems. Being knowledgeable about more than one thing helps people to think differently, and by thinking differently they can come up with solutions that did not previously exist. It is this

  • 15. Comparison Of Euripides Antigone And Lysistrata Fascinatingly, two dramas can be so diverse all because of one aspect they both contain but differ in. Written during the 5th century in ancient Athens. Antigone and Lysistrata both are two important, popular plays that contain a main character that was female. Although they can both be seen as very similar, they do differ in many ways. The most important difference between Antigone and Lysistrata is that Antigone has a community that does not approve of the main characters plans and although they feel sympathy for her, they take the opposing side, while Lysistrata has a society of people that come together to help the main character achieve her goal. This difference is important because the community s actions play a tremendous role in the overall outcome of the play and the way the original viewers, who were only men, felt when the play finished. The conclusions and the feelings brought forth by the dramaindicate the style it was written in, tragedyor comedy. An ending with a death, leaving an audience feeling sorry creates a tragedy, as an accomplishment from something completely unrealistic would create a comedy. Antigone s community does not involve themselves with her decisions which leaves her to fight by herself. Furthermore, this influences her tragic fate and leads the male Athenians watching to feel sorry for Antigone but unresponsive of her personal choices. In Lysistrata, the community joins Lysistrata and accomplishes to stop a war that was going on during

Dementia is a degenerative disease that causes a decline in cognitive and functional abilities, as the condition progresses the ability to communicate worsens (Kilgore, 2015). • 18. Compare Woodchucks And Traveling Through The Dark Human beings are often times very cruel to wild animals. The poems Woodchucks by Maxine Kumin and Traveling through the Dark by William Stafford depict two similar cruel interactions with animals. Both poems feature a narrator who treats wild animals as lesser beings for the greater good . However, the narrators do not share the same intentions and guilt. In the end though, both speakers show that they believe they are in a position of higher value than these animals. In Woodchucks by Maxine Kumin and Traveling through the Dark by William Stafford, use of diction, imagery, and tone create a tense and brutal mood that reveals the relationship between the speaker and the animals. In the poems, the author s diction helps display the relationship shared between the speaker and the animals. In Woodchucks , diction helps create a relationship where the woodchucks deserve to be killed because the damage they ve done. Kumin uses this as justification for the narrator s malicious slaughtering of the woodchucks; like in line 12, the woodchucks are not eating the carrots, they are beheading them. Replacing the word eating with beheading gives off a violent and negative connotation directed towards the woodchucks. Traveling through the Dark uses a similar strategy to make the animal seem less significant. In line 6, the dead deer is described as a heap . Objects associated with the word heap are items of little to no significance. Stafford exemplifies his use of diction
  • 19. Thoreau On Civil Disobedience Konstantin Keller Anne Portman Philosophy 2010 4 December 2015 Thoreau on Civil Disobedience In Civil Disobedience, Henry Thoreau asserts that one should prioritize one s conscience over the dictates of law. Thoreau begins his essay by arguing that government is rarely useful and that its power comes merely from the fact that the government is the strongest group, rather than because they hold the most correct viewpoint. He believes that people are obligated to do what they think is right and to refuse to follow the law as dictated by the majority. If a government is being unjust, people should distance themselves from that government and refuse to follow its laws. However, he doesn t believe that people are obligated to commit their lives to eliminating such evils from the world, but rather they should not participate in said evils. Because voting and governmental reform is often ineffective, one should deal with an unjust government by ideologically dissociating one s self from the government and refusing to participate in its institutions. Thoreau begins by stating that he agrees with the saying, that government is best which governs least. He says that, one day, people will be able to have a government which does not govern at all. In its current state, Thoreau argues that government rarely proves itself useful, and that it is often abused to the point that it no longer represents the wishes of the people. According to Thoreau, the American government is a necessity
  • 20. The Growing Concerns And Uncertainties Over Joshua s... The growing concerns and uncertainties over Joshua s leadership spiraled in Deuteronomy, and God ordered Moses to encourage Joshua. The result is an abundance of inspiring texts that Joshua surely needed (Angel, 2009): Joshua son of Nun, who attends you, he shall enter it. Imbue him with strength, for he shall allot it to Israel (Deuteronomy 1:38). Give Joshua his instructions, and imbue him with strength and courage, for he shall go across at the head of this people, and he shall allot to them the land that you may only see (Deuteronomy 3:28). Then Moses called Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel: Be strong and resolute, for it is you who shall go with this people into the land that the Lord swore to their fathers to give them, and it is you who shall apportion it to them (Deuteronomy 31:7). And He charged Joshua son of Nun: Be strong and resolute: for you shall bring the Israelites into the land that I promised them on oath, and I will be with you (Deuteronomy 31:23). These fears are carried over into the Book of Joshua. After Moses died, God encouraged Joshua to be strong and resolute three times in four verses (Angel, 2009): Be strong and resolute, for you shall apportion to this people the land that I swore to their fathers to assign to them. But you must be very strong and resolute to observe faithfully all the Teaching that My servant Moses enjoined upon you . . . . Confucian Scholar Dong Zhongshu And The Mandate Of Heaven Confucian historical texts provide pragmatic solutions to political projects, although they operated in a culture that was seasoned with value laden principles from a hybridization of Confucian, Daoist, and Buddhist schools of thought. This paper focuses on the Confucian Scholar Dong Zhongshu; specifically, I will analyze his thoughts on the Mandate of Heaven, the connection between the state human body, and his expectations of rulership. As I proceed with this analysis, I will demonstrate that Dong Zhongshu had a pragmatic political motive with his desire to be a member of educated elites known as the junzi. To begin with, I press the rhetorical: question was Dong Zhongshu a philosopher or an aspiring civil servant with philosophic tendencies?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This essay builds on what he has already said on the importance of the Mandate of Heaven. Section one of the essay speaks to it being the role of the ruler to know the true substance of things which Dong Zhongshu refers to as the practice of eliminating obstructions (DeBary pp. 298 300). Rulers do this by becoming the foundation of all state policy. Leading well necessitates a balance of virtue in between two extremes. Having the responsibility to lead is a heavy burden that mirrors the character of the ruler. Section two on responsibilities of rulership delves deeper into the character of rulership. At this point Dong Zhongshu has established that the heart of any successful state is the virtuous rulership of a sage leader (DeBary pp. 298 300). Through the ruler the people either for better or for worse transformed nevertheless that transformation is disseminated by the ruler. Sage rulers will lead by strong example with inspiration derived from the three foundations of heaven, earth and humankind. Reflecting on all of that it is apparent to me at least that what we can see Dong Zhongshu doing in his essay concerning the responsibilities of rulership advocates for the rulership, propagating political influence by means of Confucian justification. Once again reiterating the point that to oppose the rulership is to oppose the heavens. By fusing cosmology with the

This clear verbal irony further develops the change in Juliet occurring in the play and at the same time brings a comedic element into the argument. The fact that Romeo and Juliet are already married makes the audience chuckle when Juliet claims she hates the man whom she snuck out her window just moments before. The audience laughs at this claim because Juliet is telling the truth in a way that goes above her mother s head but not above the audience s. • 29. Rousseau s Criticisms Of The Progress And Prosperity Rousseau s Criticisms of the Progress and Prosperity In an essay contest seeming to beckon praise for the arts and sciences, Jean Jacques Rousseau presents a criticism. In 1750, a time when man seems to be tirelessly working to conquer nature by reason and believes progress to almost exclusively be this conquering of nature, Rousseau forms his thoughts around the inherent goodness of nature. He presents what he believes to be man s original state of nature and then delves into the corruptions caused by what he argues not this original state, but civil society. Through his First Discourse (also referred to as Discourse on the Sciences and Arts) and Second Discourse (also referred to as Discourse on Inequality), Rousseau presents convincing flaws in the enlightened visions of progress and prosperity of early modern philosophers. To provide a more clear presentation of Rousseau s refutations, I will specifically focus on his responses to two early modern philosophers: Hobbes and Locke. Also, before I delve into Rousseau s criticisms, I will present areas in which he agrees with Hobbes and Locke. Rousseau, Hobbes, and Locke all agree that there was an original state of nature in which man had pure natural tendencies. They both also concur that man, in his natural state and beyond, needs to sustain himself. From this, they all, too, agree that man has a need for self preservation. Rousseau uses these points of agreement as foundations for his criticisms, but beyond these,

The airplane was destroyed by impact forces and a post crash fire. Flight 1420 was operating under the provisions of 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CRF) Part 121 on an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plan. Contributing Casual Factors There are several causal factors that led to this event. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) determined that the probable causes of this accident were the flight crew s failure to discontinue the approach when severe thunderstorms and their associated hazards to flight operations had moved in the airport area, and the crew s failure to ensure that the spoilers had extended after touchdown. Contributing factors of the flight crews determination to land in the inclement weather are: (1) impaired performance resulting from miscommunication associated with the intent to land under the circumstances, (2) continuation of the approach to a landing when the company s maximum crosswind component was exceeded, (3) failure of the spoilers to deploy, and (4) use of reverse thrust greater than 1.3 engine pressure ratio after landing. • 35. Story Of An Hour Analysis The Story of an Hour by Kate Choplin is only one thousand words long; yet there is strong character development throughout. It also has seemingly strong undertones of social issues, such as independence as a woman in the 1800s. Many of those in the literary field argue whether Choplin s intention was to have underlaying tones of positivity and feminism, or if it is a story about irony told through a woman named Louise Mallard, a woman with heart troubles who dies of happiness when she finds out that her husband is in fact still alive. Lawrence I. Berkove argues the latter with refuting arguments and a close analysis of the text with evidence. Berkove starts his argumentoff by refuting other arguments on the topic of this short story. He references the standard for the interpretation of the story by Toth and Seyersted; that the story of Louise Mallard is an extreme example of the theme of self assertion [and] feminist bent whereas he believes Louise is an immature egotist and a victim of her own extreme self assertion. He elaborates on his refutation by stating these positions are all read into the story from non textual assumptions. Since the narrator is not first person it is third person omniscient we cannot assume that the narrator is a reliable narrator. He backs up this argument by showing that the narrator is contradicted by other textual evidence, as well as citing paragraphs 12, 13, and 14. Within these paragraphs, the narrator tries to take the audience into Louise s mind, however...there is no textual evidence of also ascribing them to the narrator. Lousie thinks that she wants to live for herself instead of for her husband and that can be interpreted as wanting to be an independent woman. However, Berkove explains that this is not the case and her justifications are extravagant, unrealistic statements and that she does not love her husband for the original reasons she married him anymore. Berkove also furthers his argument that Louise essentially killed herself, by analyzing the text itself and its possible connotations. Since the story begins with the line Mrs. Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, although vague, it gives the reader inference to base her actions on

Nevertheless, the many opponents of this initiative are arguing otherwise. One argument against a paid maternity leave is based on the assumption that one of the parents should not be working in the first place. In other words, a full time stay at home parent is beneficial to the development of the child and therefore a paid limited time maternity leave is redundant and is simply a waste of resources. Suzanne Venker, a writer, insists that According to Public Agenda, 70% of parents with children under age five believe having a parent at home is best. And 63% disagree that children in daycare receive just as good care and attention as with a stay at home parent. These findings are commensurate with 2014 Pew data that shows 60% of Americans say children are better off when a parent stays home to focus on the family. • 43. Female Athletes And Professional Sports Essay Women in professional sports fits into the Sex and Power: Global Gender Inequality class because many female athletes have experienced the inequalities in a professional sports setting. Female athletes are being put down by gender inequalities, causing less females participating in athletic programs. Women athletes are being paid less than their male counterparts. Along with being paid less, female and males are receiving unequal benefits in the form of scholarship, media coverage, transportation, and stadium conditions. The professional sport s world is filled with the obsession of body image and sexuality. Through this obsession, female athletes have been abused from the people they trust the most. There is an increasing inequality in women s professional sports in the form of pay, sexuality, and abuse. Twenty seven Division I colleges participated in a study where researchers found male athletes received almost six hundred dollars more in scholarships than female athletes and coaches of male teams earned around 190,000 dollars more than coaches of female teams (Kenschaft Clark, 2016: 355). To earn almost 200,000 dollars more for coaching males instead of females, is only contributing to the sexist theories of women in sports. We wonder why so many female teams cannot find strong coaches but they are all headed to coach the men s teams to receive more money. The U.S. Women s National Soccer Team received two million dollars for winning the 2015 Women s World Cup, while

  • 45. A Study On Diabetes Mellitus Part A 1. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (previously described as non insulin dependent diabetes) is a condition due to hyperglycemia that accompanies a relative rather than an absolute insulin deficiency. It appears as a consequence of the alteration (genetically inherited or acquired) of insulin secretion, sometimes associated with peripheral insulin resistance. Impaired ability to absorb certain macronutrients such as carbohydrates, lipids and proteins can lead to a large spectrum of chronic complications that involve more or less all tissues of the human body. Globally, an estimated 422 million adults are living with diabetes mellitus, according to the latest 2016 data from the World Health Organization. Diabetes Mellitus affects an estimated 29.1 million people in the United States and is the 7th leading cause of death. T2DM includes a heterogeneous group of diseases that associate in different degrees two major metabolic defects: beta cell insulin secretion defect and insulin resistance of the peripheral tissues. Obesity and insulin resistance are characteristic for the majority (80 90%) of T2DM cases (Obese T2DM). The sine qua non condition for the progression from the preclinical phases (prediabetes) to the overt hyperglycemia stages is represented by the presence of the insulin secretion beta cell defect. A lack of compensation for insulin resistance will lead to evolution towards T2DM. The first sign of
  • 46. What Is Freud’s Unconscious Theory and How Is It Applied... What is Freud s unconscious theory and how is it applied in the art work of Dada / surrealist artists? Sigmund Freud was a Jewish Austrian neurologist who founded the discipline of psychoanalysis. Freud went on to develop theories about the unconscious mind. The concept of the unconscious theory was central to Freud s ideas of the human mind. He first introduced his ideas around the unconscious theory when trying to explain what happens to ideas that are repressed but remain in the mind. In Freud s original outline of the main principles to the theory, he believed the mind was made up of 3 systems the unconscious, preconscious, and the conscious. The unconscious part of the mind is made up of hidden desires, impulses or wishes of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This can lead to one of the most difficult and self destructive problems in humans; unconscious guilt or anxiety as the Id, Ego, and Super Ego struggle to keep in balance. Lastly, there are two more principles; the Reality Principle, and the Pleasure Principle, which make up Freud s Theory of the Unconscious. The Pleasure Principle is linked to the unconscious and it is impulsive, primitive and disorganized. According to Freud, it rules people from birth and it is basically to do with the gratification of sexual urges. The pleasure principle is always the main motive force of the unconscious as it pushes people towards immediate gratification of their wishes. This is the tendency behind all natural impulses and urges. In contrast, as a person matures and has to work in a social environment, the Reality Principle comes into play. It involves conscious, logical thinking and lets us delay gratification in order to get on with everyday life. This principle causes sexual energy to be redirected to safer and more socially acceptable behavior such as into some sort of creative outlet e.g art. Therefore it is being repressed into the unconscious or preconscious mind. It is a constant tug of war between the pleasure and reality principles, but if it were not for the development of the reality principle we would be in trouble we wouldn t be able to delay gratification, estimate consequences, or assess reality. Freud s Theory of the Unconscious is evident in art work

  • 48. Curriculum Design Curriculum Design for Inclusive Practice Throughout this essay I will critically analyse the principles and processes of curriculum design, looking at how they apply to my own curriculum. I will look at both formal and informal elements of curriculum and also my own inclusive practice and how effective it is. Let me begin with the definition of curriculum. The word originated in Greece where it literally meant a course. The running and chariot tracks were the course it related to. In Latin the curriculum was a racing chariot and currere meant to run, Smith(1996,2000). Over the years the curriculum has evolved with political, economic and social environments all having their influences. According to the New Oxford Dictionary of English... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I will try to explain a little about each of these in turn. The Outcome or Product model is closely associated with the works of Ralph Tyler and Frank Bobbit. The works of the American theorists dates back to as early as 1918. Bobbits work The Curriculum talked of a learning cycle focusing on learning targets which are often used in military teaching as it breaks jobs into processes so as not to allow room for thought. Tyler (1949), questioned how learning experiences can be selected by the teacher to be useful in attaining objectives or be organized for effective instruction and evaluation and how staff may work on curriculum building. Blooms (1965) Taxonomy taught us to teach to a higher level, aiming for our students to not just be able to answer a question but also analyse and evaluate and create from information they had learnt. The Content model tends to emphasize the importance of learning skills and ideas within a predetermined domain. The syllabus is a list of facts or ideas where the teachers or trainers act as facilitators of instruction rather than simply lecturers; although many content based programs for the gifted place a strong emphasis on lecture and discussion, VanTassel Baska (1986).The curriculum is organized in sequences of its content and so by its very nature, making a proficiency based model for achievement outcomes is very feasible. Keating, (1976),

During the war between America and Spain, America illustrated its imperialistic views when it prompted the government to establish a plan to merge the remaining overseas territories: the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Guam. Also, America has been in the process of converting their domestic industries into a global empire, which has the potential to capture the world market, acquire natural resources from foreign sources, and sell its surplus industrial agriculture. The Philippines uses English in government, business, education, etc. rather than Tagalog. It, along with countless other countries, has the mentality that if its people do not learn English, they will fall behind in global development. As it is known from the Mark Twain novel, Sawyer resents going to church, visiting Sunday school, and washing. Tom skips classes at regular school and stays away from doing tasks such as whitewashing the fence. Besides, Tom envies Huckleberry s simple and free way of living (Wolff). Paradoxically, all the boys, including Tom Sawyer, who have a strong desire to be as free as Huck is and are jealous of his way of life, could not survive under the conditions that Huck faces. However, while Tom is jealous of Finn s lifestyle, the latter admires Sawyer s book learning and perceives him as a perfect model of civilized behavior. Huckleberry does not question the boy s knowledge when Sawyer tells what pirates wear; he simply admires Sawyer and eagerly follows him. Finally, Tom Sawyer is a conventional person to the society and its limits, while Huckleberry Finn is an outcast, nonconformist, and a free soul who treasures his own freedom. Pap Finn versus

That entire day would be considered as my crowning achievement because before she was born, my doctor told me that there was a very high chance that I could give birth around 20 weeks and even miscarry before then due to my bicornuate uterus. A bicornuate uterus is where the uterus has two horns and usually the baby can only grow in one side, so it lowers the survival chance of the baby.
