A 21-year old female presented with fever, dysuria, urinary frequency and urgency, back pain, abdominal pain, vomiting and decreased appetite. She was diagnosed with acute pyelonephritis based on urinalysis showing white blood cells and slightly cloudy urine. She was treated with intravenous antibiotics, fluids, antipyretics and other medications for symptom relief. Her condition improved and she was discharged on an oral antibiotic regimen.
