This document contains a case report of a 12-year old male patient admitted to the hospital with complaints of high fever, body aches, vomiting and malaise. Laboratory tests confirmed the diagnosis of typhoid fever. The patient was treated with intravenous antibiotics, antipyretics and other supportive medications over a period of 3 days, after which his fever and other symptoms were controlled. The pharmacist made recommendations to rationalize the treatment and provide counseling to the patient regarding prevention of future typhoid infections.
