This document discusses strategies for revitalizing small towns by focusing on future trends in work. It outlines demographic, technological, financial, environmental, and political trends that will shape the future, such as an aging population, the growth of remote work, exponential technological changes, and climate change. It also discusses how talent and skills will increasingly drive location decisions. The document advocates that towns adopt "future smart" strategies to anticipate coming changes and attract talent, such as creating high-skill jobs and reinventing education, in order to thrive in the future.
The document summarizes a presentation given at an economic development awards luncheon in Rockland County, New York. It discusses trends shaping the future of work, including work moving to virtual environments while people stay put physically, 80% of today's jobs no longer existing by 2025, and the changing nature of work as manufacturing shifts to services. Seven disruptive technologies and changing demographics are driving disruption and the future of work. The presentation also covered skills required for future jobs and choosing a preferred future.
The document discusses how 2007 marked the beginning of an era of constant technological acceleration. It describes how mobile data traffic increased over 100,000% from 2007-2014 and how 47% of American jobs may be automated in the next 20 years. The acceleration of technology, coupled with globalization and climate change, has increased interconnectivity while also threatening to disrupt many aspects of life. However, the document ends on a positive note discussing how technological progress has also enabled people to work towards the common good.
This document discusses the benefits of internships and practicums for students. It notes that internships provide valuable on-the-job experience, can be listed on resumes as professional experience, and may increase employment opportunities. Internships also allow students to earn up to 8 credits towards their degree. Practicums offer similar credit opportunities for students who live near campus. The document provides examples of organizations where students have completed internships, including 98 Rock, The Capitals, Disneyworld, and MTV.
School records refer to official records of a student's grades, conduct, and disciplinary history that provide essential guidance for parents and students. Maintaining complete, easily accessible, accurate, and useful school records has several objectives, including assisting students' career development and facilitating cooperation between parents and the school. There are different types of school records, including general records containing information like attendance, as well as financial records detailing fee collection, scholarships, and other monetary aspects of a student's education.

HDScores aims to democratize access to health department inspection data by aggregating it from various jurisdictions into a single, standardized database. This will allow consumers to more easily search for and compare inspection scores of food establishments. HDScores also plans to monetize this data by selling qualified business leads to companies like pest control. Making inspection data more transparent and accessible could replicate results seen in other cities where it reduced foodborne illness and increased consumer confidence and restaurant sales. HDScores financial projections estimate becoming profitable within 5 years as revenue grows from selling data access and qualified leads.
EXTRACTIVE INDUSTRIES, REVENUE ALLOCATION AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT. COMPARATIVE ...Sandra Carrillo Hoyos
This document summarizes a presentation given by Sandra Carrillo Hoyos about her research on extractive industries, revenue allocation, and local development in Peru. Specifically:
1) Peru is a top global producer of various metals and minerals, but macroeconomic growth from extractives has not always translated to inclusive local prosperity.
2) Carrillo Hoyos' research examines how revenue transfers to local governments have impacted conditions for a "local resource curse" through case studies of Espinar and Huari provinces.
3) Preliminary findings show revenues have had mixed effects, with some reductions in poverty and increases in infrastructure but ongoing issues like unemployment, inequality, and lack of economic diversification. Weak institutional capacity

The main points discussed are major global shifts happening by 2030, including the rise of China and India as economic powers and the impact of digital media. It also outlines some key challenges facing the Western Cape, such as unemployment, the impact of carbon pricing on exports, social issues like crime and violence, and infrastructure constraints.
This document provides an analysis of Turkey's macro environment using the PEST framework. It begins with an overview of how to conduct a macro environmental analysis and defines the four factors of a PEST analysis as political, economic, social-cultural, and technological. Tables show Turkey's quarterly population growth rates from 1955-2000 and population distribution between urban and rural areas from 1955-1997. For each PEST factor, key influences are identified such as Turkey's taxation policies, economic growth rates, age distribution, and technological innovations. An example PEST analysis of Pepsi is also provided to demonstrate how the framework can be applied.
This document discusses the importance of metropolitan regions and regional collaboration. It notes that metro areas generate the majority of economic output and population in the US. Several case studies of regional partnerships are provided, like Denver which passed a sales tax increase to fund a $4.2 billion light rail expansion across its metro area. The document argues that states should take a regional approach to economic development by creating networks of leaders across different sectors, setting a shared vision for growth, and identifying game-changing initiatives to fundamentally alter the region's economic trajectory.
This document summarizes statistics from Jamaica presented by the Director General of the Statistical Institute of Jamaica. It discusses world population trends showing declining fertility and mortality rates. LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like
Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
