Watching Schindler s list I decided to focus on Oskar Schindler. Throughout the movie Schindler
personal emotions change on the war. In the beginning we see that it was a good thing for business
that nothing else mattered as long as he made money. When Jews would come up he wouldn t care
about them because he knew he could manipulate them and earn more money since they needed
him. Schindler didn t really care for the Jewsand what would happen to them. We see that

The poem, For That He Looked Not upon Her by George Gascoigne exemplifies how the speaker
suffered from love, something that many people believe one should feel positive about. The title
delivers a despairing tone by allowing the audience to believe that the speaker can no longer look
the woman he loved in the eye. Conflicting with the despairing tone, the speaker develops a
complex attitude with the use of structure, metaphors, diction, and desire. The structure and tone
of the poem enhance the conflict and hopelessness the speaker is feeling towards the woman he
loves and desires. For the first twelve lines of the poem there is an abab rhyming pattern. This ties
into the despairing and desirable tone and how the rhyming scheme can be an example of the

The artist I chose to write my descriptive criticism about is Michelangelo Buonarroti. I chose him
because his style as an artist intrigues me and I wanted to get myself involved with more of his
work. Michelangelo was born in Caprese, Italy in 1475 and died in Rome, Italy 1564 but buried
in Florence . He is a well known sculptor painter, architect, and poet whom never married. The
artist had many great works but there will be three in particular that has caught my eye that will
be the focus of this paper. All of the pieces that I will be discussing are a part of the Renaissance
period . The first piece that I will focus on is called Pieta (1499) in St.Peter s Basilica. This is a
sculpture of what seems to be the virgin Mary and Jesus after he was crucified. This sculpture is
a piece that was unique to me. As I looked at this piece it seemed in away almost life like but the
way he sculpted Mary was bueatifully done. You can see the expression on her face and even the
look of her garments that she wore were very detailed. I noticed the way this painting has a

beliefs tend to lead to the inaccurate portrayal of the past. The two books, The Lais of Marie de
France, by Marie de France and The Wolf Hunt by Gillian Bradshaw are prime examples of how
our modern beliefs cause this distortion. The modern version of the novel, which is The Wolf Hunt,
portrays the story differently than the Medieval novel, The Lais of Marie de France. The Wolf Hunt
has modern themes in it, while the Lais has genuinely medieval themes. These stories are quite
similar because they both portray the same story, but they have many other similarities than just
this. For example, they both have many of the same themes such as, courtly love, betrayal, and
irony. In both stories, there is a noble night who devotes himself to a married woman. In the Lais
it s a knight who devotes himself to a nameless woman (Lais 94), but in The Wolf Hunt, it is a

Adoption is the process in which an adult legally becomes the guardian to a child or children that
are not biologically their own (Legal Information Institute, n.d.). Through adoption, a new family is
created and rather than looking at it as one event which many people mistakenly do it is a
lifelong process that has an effect on every aspect of all parties involved. While there are many
different components of adoption, this paper has a strong emphasis of unrelated adoptions, or
adoptions by adults who are not in any way biologically related to the child, and when fit, the
adoption process and effects specific to infants.
According to Crosson Tower (2013), adoption was originally intended for the benefit of the
adoptive parents. They would use adoption to carry on the family name or ensure they would
