3) All plastic secondary containment berms were cleaned with rags and liquid
contained in the drip pans was poured into the designated hazardous waste container.

My Day In My Life
My mind was moving too fast. It was as if it was waiting patiently for the call to
end to pounce. I was in the living room of my home peering through the window,

Aquinas Argument Analysis
In this essay I will examine Aquinas argument that the ultimate end of Man is the
beatific vision of God. Then, I will dispute Aquinas claim by arguing that Man s
incomprehension of the Divine Essence is a negation rather than a privation. Finally,
I will use my objection to show that Man does not have an ultimate end.
Aquinas argues that every human action is directed at some end. Moreover, if there
were no last end, nothing would be desired. Thus, there must be an ultimate end
(CITATION). This final end, according to Aquinas, is to understand the essence of
the First Cause. To show this, Aquinas relies on two observations: (i) Man is not
perfectly happy when there remains something for him to seek and (ii) the perfection
of something is determined by its object. By combining the latter observation with the
notion that the object of intellect is essences, Aquinas concludes that humans attain
perfection by knowing essences.
Aquinas then argues that by understanding the essences of God s creations, humans
are able to derive that He is, but are not able to understand His essence. Thus, Man s

The scarlet letter, despite being Hester s burden to bear, has a lot to say about all of
the characters in the novel, main and supporting character s alike. There are many
themes and traits that the scarlet letter is tied to, but there are a select few that I felt
most focused on throughout the novel that differ from character to character. Among
concealed sin, self torment, and many other linked concepts, the few that I will be
pointing out pertain to the characters and are a large part of who that character is as
an individual, not simply what they see or don t see the scarlet letter meaning for

How is it that the two are both being equally punished by the letter, yet they are
reacting so differently. The scarlet letter upon Hester s bosom burns her like a
stray cigarette ash while it burns its way into Dimmesdale s flesh like a heated
liquid gold. For the two, the letter means a great opportunity, not simply repentance
for a so called sin. Self discovery and discovery of others is something that this
novel touches a lot on, without it being too obvious. Hester knows what she wants,

him to be nothing more than their religious figure of guidance, despite what sins he
may commit). The mere existence of the scarlet letter on Hester s chest allowed for
this whole event throughout the novel to transpire! Without it, Hester would have
never learned to be so open with and to have known the people around her. Without
it, Dimmesdale would have never been able to know how badly he wanted the life
he was going to live before his inevitable death(this is more than likely why the novel
starts when it does, quite a while after Hester actually gives birth to Pearl, leaving a
mind to only ponder what transpired throughout those nine months after the act of
adultery). In terms of what the letter means to their romance, it is the tape that binds
