could not defeat Paris but the King was so impressed that he gave me land.
I believe that the Vikings were in fact the first to discover America. The key word
is Discover for the native Americans did not discover America, they just lived there.
Also the Vikings were not very creative and named things very obviously, so why
would they call the new land Newfound Land, if it was inhabited by people, it
wouldn t be new. The only reason that they don t get credit for it is because of the
things they did like attacking England. They were disliked by just about all countries,
so why give them credit for discovering America?

Lorraine Hansberry, born May 19, 1930, made a very prominent contribution to
society in her short lived life. She was born to a middle class family as the
youngest of four children. Her father was a successful real estate broker who also

a schoolteacher named Nannie Perry who later became a ward committeewoman.
In 1938, Lorraine s father took a stand against the real estate covenants in Chicago
due to the fact that they legally promoted housing discrimination. He chose to move

make a change. The court case that resulted from this stand led to a lot of hostility
from those around the Hansberry family. There was a violent attack on the family s
home by a mob who threw bricks into the house while shouting. Even with this

to stand their ground. The court case went all the way to the federal Supreme Court
where the ruling was that this kind of discrimination was unlawful. However,

I attended the Alley Theatre s production of The Foreigner at the University of
Houston on June 3rd at 8:00 pm. This is the first play I have seen in my life. I was
weak on Friday when I went to see the play because I was fasting and had not
