This document provides an overview of Chinese history from the fall of the Han dynasty to the Ming dynasty in 3 sections: 1) It describes the period of division and northern invasions from the 3rd to 6th centuries, including the Three Kingdoms period and influence of Buddhism and Daoism. 2) It then discusses the brief unifications under the Sui and Tang dynasties and the golden age of Tang culture. However the Tang declined due to court intrigue and military rebellions. 3) Subsequent sections cover the Song dynasty and reforms, the Jurchen and Mongol invasions, the Yuan dynasty's rule over China, and the rise of the Ming dynasty
