Preliminary Task Evaluation
Actors

The actors used were of a good standard as
they are currently taking A-level drama
therefore it was easy for them to adapt into their
role in the task. It also meant that they had a lot
of experience so they knew and understood
what they were doing quickly.
Filming

The filming could have been better as we had
to re-shoot due to the lack of checking whether
enough footage was shot and if the footage
was usable.
Sound

The music put into the task suited the tone.
However due to the use of small handheld
cameras the sound quality of the actors was not
very good which affected the task.
Lighting

This could have been improved if all the filming
was done on one day however due to the
filming error it meant that the lighting was
different.
Editing

The editing was good as the cuts during the clip
were in the correct place and allowed the clip to
flow nicely. There were a lot of camera angles
used for example: two shot, over the shoulder,
point of view, and all of the shots followed the
180 degree rule.
What to do next time

If there was the opportunity to redo the task the
things that would need to be changed are
making sure that there is a filming schedule and
ensuring that everything is filmed so that no
problems are caused. It is also important to use
a microphone on the camera to make the
sound quality as good as possible. Doing this
would hopefully improve the overall quality of
our task.
