Preliminary Task Evaluation
I think that my preliminary task turned out pretty well, although it was the first time I try to
make a movie, even in a foreign language. But despite my personal judgement, watching
many time my video I could find some errors that definitely will not repeat in future.
Failing to find one more actor, I had to play myself in my task and this did not help to make
it better, I am not able to act. In addition to this, I think that my friend acts very well in my
task.
I realised later that I did not put a few scenes on focus very well. This is another negative
point for my task.
Seeing my video, I think the thing made better is the visual effects, made with Adobe After
Effects. I spent a lot of time to make these effects, they went reasonably well.
I managed to convey to the viewer the sense of detachment felt by the character with the
society where he lives. The audience can understand he is a foreign student (he speaks in
Italian once, he has a Italian dictionary on the desk), he goes on the top floor of the house,
as to shelter and hide his secret. I chose the costumes of the characters well, wearing the
girl on white and the boy with casual clothes and the school bag.
After all, I think my preliminary task, to be the first time for me with a camera, went
reasonably well, thanks also to my experience with special effects.

Preliminary task evaluation

  • 1. Preliminary Task Evaluation I think that my preliminary task turned out pretty well, although it was the first time I try to make a movie, even in a foreign language. But despite my personal judgement, watching many time my video I could find some errors that definitely will not repeat in future. Failing to find one more actor, I had to play myself in my task and this did not help to make it better, I am not able to act. In addition to this, I think that my friend acts very well in my task. I realised later that I did not put a few scenes on focus very well. This is another negative point for my task. Seeing my video, I think the thing made better is the visual effects, made with Adobe After Effects. I spent a lot of time to make these effects, they went reasonably well. I managed to convey to the viewer the sense of detachment felt by the character with the society where he lives. The audience can understand he is a foreign student (he speaks in Italian once, he has a Italian dictionary on the desk), he goes on the top floor of the house, as to shelter and hide his secret. I chose the costumes of the characters well, wearing the girl on white and the boy with casual clothes and the school bag. After all, I think my preliminary task, to be the first time for me with a camera, went reasonably well, thanks also to my experience with special effects.
