Upon entering my home, you will stumble
upon my raw soul. On my front door, which I consider the first thing a person will notice about me
reads, ... it is not right that we hold a grudge in our hearts ... (Truman Capote). I chose this as my
welcome sign to represent my will to forgive, and my effort to remove the negative thoughts and
emotions out of my life by letting go of the harm done ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have chosen 300 Violin Orchestra by Jorge Quintero. As a child, my mother would play classical
music for me because the doctor recommended it. Recently I read studies that brought to light the
capability of focusing and recapturing what has been studied could be better done if the student
listened to wordless songs i.e. classical music, while studying. When I gave it a try I realized my focus
increased and just stuck to it. The song mentioned above represents me in such way that I had
previously listened to classical and when I reconnected to it for school purposes I realized I had found
my home in music. I chose that specific song because although it includes violin it provides this sense
of modernity and really enlightens my mood.

Differentiation Of The AMD Company
Identify various elements in your product/ service category that the customers value.
Product differentiation is the greatest aspect of AMD (www.amd.com) as a company on which it

competitors. Through its differentiation strategy it provides the true value of the product to the
customers. Even though AMD competitors have increased R D investment but the product outcome

AMD (www.amd.com) can use innovation, speed, manufacturing techniques, responsiveness, quality

AMD should follow the strategy of differentiation through product innovation and developing product
features that customers value than on maintaining a low competitive price. Let me put across different

The Attachment Theory
The attachment theory is a theory by Bowlby that refers to the joint mutual relationship that babies
experience and develop with their primary caregiver (Bowlby, 1982). This theory is not supported by
research in various sceneries. However, even though the attachment theory began as an initiative, the
clinical application to the daily clinical understanding of adult mental health complications has penned
red behind the current available research. I believe that the theory can give valuable insight into both
the developing nature of recognized psychiatric disorders as well as in the development of the
therapeutic relationship in adults. My position provides an overview of (a) the application of
attachment theory to diverse psychopathologies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The remaining data available so far suggest that attachment insecurity indeed serves as a risk factor.
Secondly, on the other hand (Dozier et al, 1999) due to differences in attachment conceptualization
and measurement on one side and in how psychiatric disorders are diagnosed, results across studies
can readily be compared. This may in part explain some of the contradictory findings. Nevertheless,
one broad generalisation is emerging on the basis of the distinction between seizure strategies that
reduce and maximise attachment needs and behaviours (approximately corresponds with attachment
preoccupation and dismissal respectively) (Dozier et al, 1999). Externalising psychopathology (which
may involve misconduct behaviour, e.g. eating disorders) are to be associated with hypothesised (or
something) strategies, while s psychopathology (e.g. depression, anxiety and plate line personality
disorder) would transform with (or hyper active) associated strategies. As indicated above, this
generalisation has not been consistently supported. Finally, one can expect that the higher the load for
a genetic disorder, less the contribution social and/or environmental factors (including

FBR-Beige Book Summary
With the looming threat of an economic recession, action needs to be taken to try to minimize the
potential damage. Subprime loans to finance mortgage backed securities have brought instability to
the real estate market. Banks have had to implement tighter lending standards to residential mortgages
to try to offset this instability ( FBR Beige Book Summary, 2007). Though several banks have
reported tighter credit conditions on the commercial real estate market, credit availability and credit
quality remained promising for most borrowers ( FBR Beige Book Summary, 2007). Besides the
turbulence in the real estate market, uncertainty in other financial markets have had a minimal effect
on recent economic activity ( FBR Beige Book Summary, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Subprime mortgage loans issued by banks to finance mortgage backed securities have led to a huge
increase in both housing prices and the quantity of houses being built. If housing prices climb too high
above their economic value, there will be no incentive for people to pay their mortgage. Borrowers
may decide to default on their housing loans, and this will lead to a crisis in the real estate market
which could result in a drastic decline of economic performance. The Federal Open Market
Committee has a target of decreasing the federal funds rate 50 basis points, from 5.25 percent to 4.75
percent, and also decreasing the discount rate 50 basis points from 5.75 percent to 5.25 percent (

Midfielder And Siddhartha
Time itself is a never ending cycle, however; our time as humans on Earth is finite. Both Siddhartha
by Herman Hesse and If God Existed, He d Be A Solid Midfielder by Aleksandar Hemon portray the
importance of time, showing how patience and contentment is acquired over time. Although each
reading incorporates characters that experience moments of unease, losing a touch of their passion and
goals, their interpretation of time differs; Hesse portrays time linearly while Hemon views time
circularly. Siddhartha seeks Enlightenment by taking the road less traveled, a Western belief ironically
chosen by Siddhartha despite his residence in the Eastern hemisphere. Similarly, Hermon displays
pursuits of the Eastern belief of time within the Western ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hemon s belief that time is circular is an Eastern concept. The reader of the story can interrupt that his
backwards thinking was his only real connection to home in Bosnia Herzegovina, which is located in
Eastern Europe. He looked to makes his experience in Chicago feel like home, by recreating moments
that he had in Bosnia. The only possible way the author could recreate these repetitive moments in his
life was through soccer. Moment of transcendence highlights how Heman looks for these moments in
life that constantly reoccur. His moment of transcendence are when he s on the soccer field, every time
his team put a ball into the back of the net, he feels the universe converged together to make the goal
happen. Soccer was his outlet to make new connections and friends while feeling like he was back
home in Bosnia. Eventually finding a venue where he could play pick up soccer games every Saturday
and Sunday, he became accustomed to that routine for years until the games stopped occurring.
Hemon perceived time on a weekly base, looking forward to his fixated schedule; slight deviation of
schedule gave him anxiety. Even in his absence, time will continue on, pick up soccer games will
continue to happen and those willing to attend will be present there. The notion that time is circular
can also be seen in the story as well, after immigrating to Chicago he went years without playing

How Cooperative Learning Impacts Higher Order And Critical...
The challenge this researcher faces lies in the structure of a particular Accelerated Math II (10th
Grade) curriculum at Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, Georgia, in which all students enrolled
in the course have to be proficient in all areas of the curriculum. The researcher has observed very
little higher order/critical thinking and problem solving and low motivation/morale which may impact
student performance in the math course. After a year of intense coursework, including real world
application practice, and many short answer and multiple choice assessments, students show minimum
performance on an accelerated curriculum provided to them. This challenges the instructional efforts
of the teacher to increase the performance and promote higher order thinking in the math class.
Therefore the purpose for this study is to determine if cooperative learning impacts higher
order/critical thinking skills and student achievement. Review of the Literature Cooperative learning is
one of the best studied academic strategies in the history of educational research, with over 1,000
research studies on the subject dating as far back as 1898 (Stanne, Johnson Johnson, 1999). There are
so many studies, in fact, that the most easily to get to point of entry into the literature is meta analyses
of large numbers of studies. The most important piece of information is that cooperative learning
models have been established to have an obviously positive impact on student achievement.

The Tyranny Of Experts Analysis
In his book The Tyranny of Experts, William Easterly argues against what he calls the technocratic
approach to development, in which expert economists advise an autocrat in how to best develop his
country. Easterly instead advocates increasing the individual rights of the people in underdeveloped
nations in order to catalyze free development. He uses 3 debates the blank slate vs. learning from
history, nations vs. individuals, and conscious design vs. free development to support the free
development side of the overarching debate of the novel: authoritarian vs. free development. Easterly
comes to the conclusion that individual rights are the most important factor in development, saying,
we must not let caring about the material suffering of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Easterly s proof for the learning from history side of the debate is so effective and convincing because
it is based almost entirely on statistical data. Using survey data, for example, Easterly is able to show a
direct connection between rights and development by tracing the emergences of trends that facilitated
rights, and demonstrating how those rights still play a role in economies today. Perhaps his most
convincing argument for learning from history is proving that places affected the most by slavery still
today have lower levels of trust, lower rights, and therefore lower rates of economic growth. He uses
the example of the Aja people, a group often taken as slaves from Benin, which today is one of the
poorest countries in Africa. He attributes this poverty to a lack of trust leftover from decades of slave
trade, saying, Although the victimization of the Aja was mostly over by 1800, the Aja...scored
exceptionally low values of trust today toward other ethnic groups and even toward their fellow Aja
(162). Lack of trust amongst ethnic groups hinders trade and innovation and therefore hinders
economic growth, which proves that the historical context of Benin can explain its poverty today.
Thus Easterly convincingly demonstrates the value of learning from history by showing a correlation
between historical oppression and current poverty, using data to back up his claims. The Blank Slate
vs. learning from history debate becomes even more convincing when Easterly then goes on to use
historical data to prove his stances on the other two debates, revealing that historical data can be of
vital importance in many different areas of

Feminist Criticism Of Women In Frankenstein
In Which a Feminist Killjoy Ruins Frankenstein for Sexists
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein does not seem like a novel that empowers women. Based on the doormat
esque female characters and entitled male protagonist, one might easily assume that Frankenstein is a
typical male penned, patriarchy saturated 19th century work. However, when examined with feminist
ideals in mind, Shelley s novel actually makes a progressive argument about the role of women.
Though the female characters are certainly lacking in both number and substance, this absence hinders
Victor and his goals and does not merely assert that women are useless. In addition, the role of
maternity and maternal figures amplifies the meaning of Frankenstein; the creation and caring for of
life manifests as an immensely important process with both benefits and consequences, not as merely
women s work . Through an analysis of the existing female characters and the lack thereof, as well as
by understanding the maternal figures present and how they further the novel, one can see how
Shelley s Frankenstein reveals that feminine roles are necessary for a functional society.
None of Shelley s female characters in Frankenstein are feminist icons; the women of the novel are
written as passive, defined entirely by the men in their lives. This understanding, which informs
Stephanie Haddad s article Women as the Submissive Sex in Mary Shelley s Frankenstein , is partially
achieved through point of view, specifically that of

Elizabethan Era
The Elizabethan Age is the time period associated with the reign of Queen Elizabeth I (1558 1603)
and is often considered to be a golden age in English history. It was an age considered to be the height
of the English Renaissance, and saw the full flowering of English literature and English poetry. In
Elizabethan theater, William Shakespeare, among others, composed and staged plays in a variety of
settings that broke away from England s past style of plays. It was an age of expansion and
exploration abroad, while at home the Protestant Reformation was established and successfully
defended against the Catholic powers of the Continent. The Elizabethan Age is viewed so highly
because of the contrasts with the periods before and after. It was ... Show more content on

There followed several long years of breathless suspense; then in 1588 the Armada sailed and was
utterly overwhelmed in one of the most complete disasters of the world s history. Thereupon the
released energy of England broke out exultantly into still more impetuous achievement in almost
every line of activity. The great literary period is taken by common consent to begin with the
publication of Spenser s Shepherd s Calendar in 1579, and to end in some sense at the death of
Elizabeth in 1603, though in the drama, at least, it really continues many years longer. Several general
characteristics of Elizabethan literature and writers should be indicated at the outset. 1. The period has
the great variety of almost unlimited creative force; it includes works of many kinds in both verse and
prose, and ranges in spirit from the loftiest Platonic idealism or the most delightful romance to the
level of very repulsive realism. 2. It was mainly dominated, however, by the spirit of romance. 3. It
was full also of the spirit of dramatic action, as befitted an age whose restless enterprise was eagerly
extending itself to every quarter of the globe. 4. In style it often exhibits

The Greek Constellation Of Aries
I chose the constellation of Aries because of it s fascinating history and it s story in mythology. It s
located in the northern hemisphere between Pisces to the west and Taurus to the east. It s name is latin
for ram and because of that it s sign represents ram s horns. This constellation possesses only four
stars: Hamal(Alpha Arietis, second magnitude ) , then Sheratan ( Beta Arietis, third magnitude ) and at
last Mesarthim and 41 Arietis ( both of them Gamma Arietis, forth magnitude ).
Originally, in ancient texts, this constellation was defined as a specific pattern of stars, and has
remained that way since then. Now it includes the ancient pattern as well as the surrounding stars.
Aries, the constellation now known, was the final stati on along the ecliptic. The earliest identifiable

, who rescued Helle and Prixhos, son and daughter of king Athamas and his first wife Nephele , and
took them to the land of Colchis. Jealous of Nephele and Athamas having children, she wished to kill
them, so she induced a famine in one on the cities, falsified a message from Oracle of Delhi in witch
she says that Prixhos must be sacrificed in order for famine to stop. Her plan should have been

The Legal Entity System Has Profoundly Affected The...
1.0 Introduction The legal entity system has profoundly affected the process of human economic and
social development. Needless to say, the connotation of the legal entity system is very rich, and that
the company has an independent personality and shareholders bear the limited liability is the two basic
features (Tweedale, G., Flynn, L., 2007). Of course, the company s independent personality is based
on the separation of corporate property and shareholder property. Under this circumstance, the
company shall enjoy their rights, fulfil obligations, and independently bear civil liability in its own
name (L.C.B., 1992). However, with the development of commodity economy, and the deepening and

3.1.1 Fraud or misrepresentation Fraud or misrepresentation is one of the most frequent factors in
piercing the corporate veil. Fraud is a deliberate concealment of the truth and a false statement leading
the other party to engage in certain acts and causing loss or injury, which can be seen in the case
GILFORD MOTOR Co. v HORNE Ltd. (1933) . Fraud includes civil fraud and criminal fraud, and
fraud is often associated with misrepresentation. Inaccurate statements in the litigation of piercing the
corporate veil generally include misrepresentation of the company s assets and financial conditions, as
well as misrepresentations of paying to the parties. Professor Thompson is of the opinion that when
the act is found to be fraud by the court, the act is often used as evidence to support the
misrepresentation if the fraud claim cannot be substantiated (Hodge, L., Sachs, A., 2008). 3.1.2
Shareholders control and domination In order to pierce the company veil, the plaintiff needs not only
to prove the domination and control behaviour, but also to prove that there is fraud or abuse unfair
form of corporate. In order to pierce the company veil, that shareholders only control/dominate the
company is not enough, and there must be fraud or misrepresentation evidence. In this regard, the
standard of piercing the veil of the company is also particularly stringent. If there is only the fact that
the shareholder is a

Female Saudi Perception Of Online Banking
This study will focus on the female Saudi perception of online banking because limited studies have
been performed.
Aljasser and Sasidhar (2013) stated, in Saudi Arabia, both traditional banks and women only banks
function in parallel (p. 9); however, men and women have separated buildings. This study will
investigate female Saudi users perceptions toward online banking in Saudi Arabia. Statistically, this
research will identify the factors that influence Saudi female users to adopt online banking. Online
banking services are beneficial for the consumer; it offers remote electronic services for users
(Wischnevsky Damanpour, 2003). A convenient environment to do their transactions through online

through computers or smartphones (Sukkar Hasan, 2005; Abdalkrim Khrais, 2013; Beadnell, 2014).
Montazemi and Qahri Saremi (2015) argued that online banking provides the users with benefits such
as cost savings, greater control over service delivery, reduced wait times, higher perceived levels of
customization, and convenient access to services without time or space constraints (p. 1). Online
banking will provide Saudi female users with completely flexible and quick service (Abdalkrim

a channel to do their transactions. The latest statistic by Lella (2012) revealed that 423.5

Two Opposing Powers
I recently read two articles concerning the topics of science and religion. Chet Raymo, author of
Miracles and Explanations, offers insight on how science and religion are closely related while David
Ludden, author of Teaching Evolution at a Christian College , declares that science and religion are
too contradicting from one another and that people are unwilling to open their minds to new ideas
once they have established their beliefs (Raymo Ludden, 2011). This is a topic that has had
controversy surrounding it for an innumerable amount of years dating back to ancient times when the
Catholic Church ruled Europe to present times where we have to decide if we want our children

Mr. Ludden closes by stating one strategy science teachers use to capture the interest of their students.
He uses the analogy of a drug pusher giving away drugs for free until the client is hooked and then
starts charging them for more. He states that this method doesn t work because science doesn t
produce the high religion does and that at the end of the day it is up to the student to decide whether
they want to accommodate science with their faith (Raymo Ludden, 2011, p. 702 704). Mr. Raymo
uses a Rogerian style in his writing because he is trying to build common ground in his argument. He
starts by talking about miracles and how we are taught fake stories when we are young. This is
something majority of people can relate to. Then he explains how as we get older we acknowledge
these miracles as lies because we disprove them scientifically. He also mentions that the concepts of
science are miracles and based on that scientists form theories. So far his reasoning is logical. This
helps his argument because more people will appeal to logical reasoning. He also provides strong
evidence of religion and science working together when he writes about the experiment done on the
Shroud of Turin. The Church officials allowed three distinct labs to use carbon dating to discover the
age of the cloth. The findings were supported by the Church, and Pope John Paul II went on to speak
of the relationship of science and religion,

The Positive And Negative Implications Of Social...
The positive and negative implications of social networking sites. Introduction Social networking sites
have become a big part of our lives. These sites are indeed twofold, and their impact on society is both
positive and negative. My essay will, therefore try to answer both sides of the impact social
networking sites have in today s culture. A website article by (Shruti Tripathi Chopra 2015) stated that
in 2008 Facebook made and estimated $300 million, that rose to a profit in 2014 of $2.9. The positive
implications of social networking sites have no boundaries. Communication between people in the
past was, either over the phone or via letter, just to mention a few. (Pewinternet.org 2005) published
that just 7% of American adults used social networking sites, and then rising to 65% by 2015. As a
result, in this growth and popularity, jobs have been created to meet the demands of social networking
sites. It was surely inevitable, that the growth and impact of social networking sites would influence
how most of us live our lives today. A great way to share your recent photographs, ideas, general chat
or just keep in contact with loved ones who live far away, is through the social networking sites. This
being a very positive side, it has all but demolished the barriers that prevented loved ones from
frequent contact. Many, if not all academic institutes have embraced these sites, and they use them to
inform the public of current happening at their institute. This in many ways

The Court of India, while administering environmental justice, has evolved certain principles and

principles, such as polluter pays principle, precautionary principle and public trust doctrine have been

the same. It is important to note that these principles have been developed in various international

principles to resolve domestic environmental problems. For example, the Polluter Pays Principle was

Taking a Look at Lipoproteins
Lipoproteins are multicomponent assemblies of lipids and proteins that form distinct molecules with
an approximate stoichiometric value between the lipid and protein components within the complex.
Lipoproteins exist with many types each with a specific molecular mass, size, density, physiological
role, and chemical composition.(devlin,57) The lipids and their derivatives may be covalently or non
covalently bound to the proteins. Lipoproteins show biodiversity in their forms, many enzymes,
antigens, toxins, structural proteins, transporters, emulsification agents in lipid uptake, and adhesins
are lipoproteins with an important network that supports the transportation of fats in blood stream and
inside and outside of cell, as building blocks using cholesterol to offer a great help in maintaining the

day; Group 3 3 grams per day for 28 days; Group 4 was given a placebo. After 28 days, muscle
biopsies were taken and groups 2 and 3 proved that loading was not necessary to achieve results from
creatine. Groups 2 and 3 showed the same amounts of creatine increases. The exercise that was used
was not presented in Joe Wieder s article.
There have also been other studies conducted on creatine. One of the better ones was by a group of
students out in Texas. The effects of creatine on muscle power and strength indices of ten subjects, all
male, were tested. The amounts of creatine were not given but more than likely each subject was given
the same amount. The training that was used consisted of 3 consecutive 30 second Wingate bike tests
with 5 minutes rest in between, and a bench press workout. For each individual a one rep max for the
bench press was taken then sets were performed at 70% of the one rep max. Eight subjects completed

Advantages Of Nationalisation In Business
For years, nationalisation has been a prohibited subject within British economies and politics.
However, Jeremy Corbyn s economic project has been concentrated around nationalisation. One of
Corbyn s arguments has been that, national ownership of particular businesses can, promote long term
development of the economy, help to acquire a renovating infrastructure and also provide a quality
health and social care system. Furthermore, with the use of examples from around the world, Corbyn
attempts to illustrate that the state is an ineffective manager, and also indicate the positive
contributions of national ownership. Furthermore, in the UK, national state ownership has previously
been too centralised, with authority in the hands of a private and commercial elite, which promotes
Adam Smith s ideology. This is portrayed when he said, Avarice overrates the difference between
poverty and riches: ambition, that between a private and a public station... , demonstrating that
entrepreneurs drive economies and that their profits are a reward for their own risk, with this being the
Just World theory. In addition, the ideology of Freidrich A. Hayek is also supported by this, and is
illustrated when he said, The more the state plans the more difficult planning is for the individual ,
indicating that the state is exploiting and alienating the population of the UK. Therefore, to improve
national ownership in the UK, measures have to be taken in order to increase the democratic

Classroom Space Impact On Students And The Overall...
There have been a number of studies done to show how the amount of space that is available in a
classroom can have an effect on the behavior of the students and the overall environment of the
classroom. In 2003, Duncanson found that classroom space impacts how teachers and students
behave. He found that classrooms with small amounts of space were prone to have inefficient
pathways and look cluttered. In part, it was found that this situation was caused by the large amount of
room teachers reserved for their own use and the large amount of space covered by other pieces of
furniture. The arrangement of the furniture hampered the natural flow patterns and created small open
spaces for students to work. Thus teachers more or less identified and assigned the spaces that were to
be used by students while working on an activity (Duncanson, 2003). The ideal classroom is one
where there are minimal distractions to learning, focused attention on classroom discussions and
positive learning about critical subject material. With this in mind, it is important to understand what
causes misbehavior and what can be done to limit it. Misbehavior must be taken in context however,
since one must look at the situation and instructor to determine if a particular action falls in the
misbehavior category. For example, walking around during a math lesson would be unacceptable, but
walking around in a pottery class would be expected (Burden, 1995). In one study by Tiirkniiklii
Galton (2001),

Principles Of Physiology Health And Social Care
Principles of Physiology in Health and Social care. Assignment 1 1.1 Discuss with the use of diagrams
the main anatomical features of the human body Introduction The human body is like a machine, and
like many machines it is made up of many different features and parts. The main anatomical features
of the human body include; the cells, skeletal system and muscular system. These systems can relate
to/work with other systems within the body. This can include the cardiovascular system working with
the digestive system by breaking down food to make the nutrients that are then transported around the

Some of these different types of cells are Muscle cells. These muscle cells are for helping movement.
There are also nerve cells. These cells are used for carrying messages around the body so that the body
is able to react to things such as pain. When cells are grouped together they form what is known as a
tissue. Different types of tissue make up different types of organs. The 3 main types of tissue are
Muscular, Nerve and Epithelial. The muscular tissue is made up of three forms, they include the
skeletal, smooth and cardiac tissues. Skeletal tissue is voluntary which means that it is used in the
movements of the skeletal components. The Nerve tissue is a group of cells which react to, many
different types of stimuli. They transmit messages throughout the body which can include things such
as temperature, pain, and pressure. Epithelial tissue is when cells that form together create the lining
of a surface an example of this would be the skin and muscle tissue. The Skeletal System The skeletal
system works as the frame of the body and it is made up of two hundred and six various bones. The
Sections used in the movements of the skeletal system are; the bones, Joints, ligaments and tendons.
This system is also divided into two sections known as the Axial and Appendicular skeleton. The

Polonius Murder In William Shakespeare s Hamlet
Hamlet will not produce Polonius s body when asked because he wants to get under the King s skin
and irritate him. Later, this also confirms to Hamlet that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern were still
working for the King, and to provoke Claudius, so he can confide in Horatio. Hamlet gains an
additional reaction of paranoia and indignance from Claudius through disobeying him.
Ophelia s madness helps Claudius to further convince Laertes to kill Hamlet, blaming Ophelia s
madness and suicide on Hamlet s cruel manipulations. In addition, to Polonius murder via Hamlet.
This helps Claudius because he is toying with Laertes emotions and motives to achieve his own goal
of removing Hamlet out of the picture by having someone else kill the prince.
Laertes originally confronts Claudius because he suspects the King was involved in both his father and
sister s death. When he does this, Claudius shifts the blame on Hamlet, which leads the two of them to
plot Hamlet s death in order to avenge Laertes deceased family members.
Claudius encourages Laertes to exact revenge on Hamlet because he is suspicious of Hamlet. He s
aware that Hamlet knows that he killed the former king and is paranoid that Hamlet will take away all

Consequently, Hamlet manages to switch swords from Laertes and ends up stabbing him (with the

Claudius because he is already wary of Claudius s ambitions power and

Tuesday morning on September 11th, 2001 there were a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by
the Islamic terrorist group al Qaeda on the United States. The attack had killed 2,996 innocent people
injured over 6,000 others, and caused at least ten billion in property and infrastructure damage and
three trillion in total cost. Nineteen al Qaeda terrorist had stole four passenger airliners operated by
U.S. passenger air carriers. Two of the planes were crashed into the north and south towers,

in New York and Washington via cell phone and Airfone calls to the ground. Knowing that the aircraft
was not returning to an airport as the hijackers claimed, a group of passengers and flight attendants
planned an insurrection. One of the passengers, Thomas Burnett Jr., told his wife over the phone that I

What did meet with considerable success was the formation of local Volunteer Training Corps . We

These Volunteer Training Corps (VTCs) were formed all over Britain and consisted mainly of men
who were rather too old for military service and those who suffered from some trivial medical

Cellulite Essay
Although the causes of cellulite are not as understood as the removal of cellulite, it appears to be more
prevalent in women, which points to hormonal factors as a high influence. Cellulite is the occurrence
of bumpy fat deposits under the skin. It gives the appearance of lumps or dimples, usually in the hips,
thighs and buttocks.
What Causes Cellulite?
Cellulite is caused by the underlying fat deposits raising up to become visible through the skin.
Everyone has fat deposits in their body, but cellulite results from the collagen and connective tissue
becoming weak and allowing the fat to the surface where it causes a bumpy texture.

Creams
Anti cellulite creams work by narrowing the blood vessels in the impacted areas. They also remove
water from the skin, which can temporarily reduce the appearance of bumps and lumps. While the
creams seems to work for a limited amount of time, they can cause allergic reactions in some patients.
Injections
Often the same ingredients in the creams are injected into the skin for a quicker and more noticeable
result. They are meant to tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of bumps. They can work faster
and have a longer effect on the skin.
Massages
There are many massages that can help the appearance of cellulite. Spas have been known to have

methods to pneumatic massages. There are compression and cupping massages. Both types use
pressure to reduce the swelling and appearance of cellulite. They improve circulation and stimulate the

Effects Of Eugenics
In the Early 20th century the Eugenics movement was a popular one, taking root in all facets of
civilization. Darwin s theories of evolution had been a starting point for many in the scientific
community to form what is known as Eugenics. The fear of the inferior, being considered weak, and
immigration caused many to grasp onto eugenics as gospel. Eugenics was so deep seeded at this point
it was embraced by scientists, politicians, as well as being a curriculum taught in schools. America had
become the dumping ground for many of the unfit from other countries. This caused America to
enforce stricter laws, tests, and punishments such as sterilization. During this time, a man by the name

out their eugenics experiments which were broken into 2 parts, positive and negative eugenics. The
positive part focused on increasing the population of the pure race, or Aryans. The negative part was
meant to stop the breeding of the unfit, or those that didn t fit the profile, through sterilization and
eventually kill them off (Saetz, Van Court, and Henshaw). Hitler compared his views on killing off the

Crimes against Business
In crimes that are related to business, it s not always the employees of those businesses that that stray
away from their morals, and greed overcomes their judgment. On May 19th 2014, a Brooklyn, N.Y.,
man was sentenced to state prison for orchestrating a bank fraud system with at least two defendants.
The defendants in this case were found to be impersonating people to whom are holders of legitimate
business bank accounts. In their scheme, they were able to steal more than half a million dollars. The
New York authorities sentenced Nurlin Wright, the 35 year old Brooklyn, NY and two other
defendants to racketeering and conspiracy. Racketeering as a federal crime may come with some very
hefty penalties, and especially used in major organized crimes cases. Racketeering is the federal crime
of conspiring to organize to commit crimes, especially on an ongoing basis as part of an organized
crime operation. The Acting Attorney, General Hoffman said in this article, This was a huge bank
fraud scheme in which the defendants attempted to use the casinos to launder the stolen funds. This
case highlights the ever present threat of identity theft and the need for financial institutions, banking
clients and law enforcement to remain extremely vigilant. In this case, the criminals used techniques
such as money laundering to try to hide their illegal activities. According to INTERPOL, money
laundering is defined as any act or attempted act to conceal or disguise the

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound ( Hifu ) Therapy System,...
ABSTRACT In High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy system, electrical impedance
matching networks should be used between the ultrasound transducer and signal generator in order to
maximize the electrical power transmission. Impedance matching networks are designed based on LC
resonant networks and that can be analyzed by analytical design theory and smith chart design
technique. Graphical method using smith chart is adapted to understand the concept. The reflective
power should be reduced after successfully matching the electrical circuit. However, the problem with
our case, HIFU transducer has been observed with significant amount of reflective during LC
matching network; that reflective power has to be reduced as much as possible. In order to eliminate
reflective power we tried transformer matching instead of LC network and we are getting desired
output. Even after that, we are getting slightly change over working resonance frequency which is not
optimum for highly focused ultrasound transducer application or any other application. However, if
we propose broadband matching network for transducer matching then we can increase the range of
working frequency and we can compensate that problem. To conclude, transmission power can be
increased by implementing broadband electrical matching networks. In this paper, I discuss the
characteristics and different applications of piezoelectric material and how matching is an important to

Nailer By John Collier Analysis
This passage relates to the thematic topic of social classes. Nailer must come from an underprivileged

especially for a teenager like Nailer. Nobody should be performing the difficult and risky job Nailer

Kafka´s The Metamorphosis Essay
In Kafka s The Metamorphosis , the character Gregor transforms from a man into a bug, specifically a
cockroach. Although Gregor physically changes, he does not change as a person. Gregor merely
accepts his new condition as a bug and his family s continuous abuse and hostility. Gregor s
acceptance of his new bug form is representative of his passive personality before and after his
transformation. Gregor s passivity, in response to the hostile world around him, causes his eventual
downfall. Therefore, Kafka uses the character Gregor to exemplify how a passive attitude can cause
one s demise.

him to come to work. Gregor remained locked in his room and would not leave for work. So, the clerk
became extremely impatient. The frustrated clerk divulges into a cruel and demoralizing speech. He
maliciously accuses Gregor of hiding because of unethical involvement in cash receipts. Later, Gregor
s family and the clerk become restless and want to see Gregor. The door to Gregor s room is unlocked
to open and reveal Gregor in his insect form. Gregor s family and the clerk react with horror. The clerk
and Gregor s mother run away from him in fear. Gregor s father grabs a stick and a newspaper and
dashes toward Gregor, herding Gregor back into his bedroom with prods and fierce language. Gregor
injures himself badly while trying to fit back through the doorway. Gregor s door is slammed shut
behind him and he his left alone, frightened and injured, in his room. The events subsequent to Gregor
s transformation exhibit his passive nature. Clearly such passivity was not useful to Gregor.
Gregor s passivity poses two major problems.

For selling the printers in Europe, HP had to add the right power supply for the intended country and
also the instruction manual in the correct language. Since testing with power supply was a part of FAT,
this customization was also done at the FAT plant unlike its computer division which delayed this
process to the Distribution Centres (DC). The inventory was carried at the Distribution Centres and
not at the factory.
Demand
In the Europe DC, it was becoming common to have product shortages for model demands from some
countries while inventory of some other model kept piling up. The target inventory levels at DC were
set by a rule of thumb and were proving ineffective. The primary reason for this seemed to be the
magnitude of variation in demand.

Inventory Model for Existing Supply Chain
Since the variation in demand is high, a fixed order quantity model would have been suitable for
modelling the inventory management process at the European DC of HP. We could have arrived at a
suitable reordering point looking into the lead time and demand variation in that lead time. However,
ordering cost is not available and is hard to estimate given the facts in the case and hence we reject
this model.

Organic Semiconductors Abstract
Organic semiconductors
Abstract:
This paper covers advantages of organic semiconductors over the conventional one s and also the use
of organic semiconductors and polymers to make OLED s and PLED s.
Introduction:
An organic semiconductor is an organic material with semiconductor properties. They can be divided
into single molecules, oligomers or polymers. Many organic materials are very colorful and these
materials interact very strongly with light. Due to this reason they are used in applications like light
emitting diodes and photo voltaic cells. Although these materials are not intended to replace silicon
based technologies, organic semiconductors can help to realize fully flexible devices for television
displays, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
5. Production: organic materials can be produced with relative ease as compared to conventional
semiconductors as it does not involve the need of high temperatures which requires lot of energy.
6. Encapsulation: organic devices have to be protected from any kind of environmental influences.
Hence they are encapsulated in between two plastic foils other such materials also can be used to
protect them. [1]
Charge transport in organic semiconductors:
Various materials are available that transport either electrons or holes. This distinction does not rely on
the actual ability of materials to transport charges ( ie. On the actual value of charge mobility). But
rather reflects the ease of charge injection from electrodes traditionally used in devices. In that
context, a material is often referred to as a hole [electron] transporter when its ionization energy
[electron affinity] closely matches the Fermi level of the electrode material. Materials that transport
both electrons and holes are also available nowadays these materials are called ambipolar transport
materials.[2]
The charge transport in organic materials is similar to that in the conventional semiconductors, the
charge carriers (electrons or holes) have to overcome the barrier potential formed at the junction of
metal and the semiconductor. The carriers are then injected into the organic semiconductor layer.

Virginia Woolf Death Of The Moth
The Death of the Moth by Virginia Woolf explains the life of a moth that is centered around a role that
represents life. The theme is the mystery of death and the correspondence of the life of the moth with
the true nature of life. Death is a difficult subject for anyone to speak of but it part of life.
The Death Process, the struggling and fighting against death. It is demonstrated that death was
inevitable, humans tend to fight against death and anything in the way of the power will fail
eventually. Moths are associated with death as a symbol. The character of the moth itself is a
metaphorical reference and also the representation of Woolf s mental illnesses. The moth s battle with
death can represent the struggle Woolf had with her illnesses, the ups and downs in her own personal
battles. The acceptance of death relates to the suicide of Woolf, after many successes and failures, you
can t always keep fighting. The moral is that regardless of what happens to someone, life goes on and
the world does not stop turning. The word death is repeated many times in the last paragraph as it is
trying to emphasize that nothing can win the battle against oncoming doom. ... Show more content on

Substance Abuse Case Study Essay
1. Well, it is more than obvious that Jen has some issues in her life that she tries to suppress with
alcohol or that she tried to overcome with marijuana usage. Moreover, it is important to look at all
aspects of her problems. Smoking marijuana in order to reduce stress (more likely to forget about her
abuse as a kid) through her high school time doesn t look like a big issue, but it might left a pattern
that Jen picked up later in her life in order to deal with her problems. She obviously learned that
facing problems through substance usage is her way to go and to deal with the same, which is
completely wrong. In my opinion, as I stated, smoking marijuana does not present a substance abuse
problem, but rather a core for something that became substance abuse later in Jen s life. She states that
she can go couple of days without alcohol, but also that she uses it in order to reduce her stress.
Furthermore, Jen feels anxious about the times when she does not use the alcohol. ... Show more

Biblical perspective about drugs and alcohol is interesting. It is well known that the Bible doesn t

That is the reason why many people do not see it as a sin. However, really the application to drugs is
obvious: all the substances that compromise our bodies and minds are out of bounds! It is the same
with alcohol. Scripture instructs us to avoid being high and buzzed. For example, Paul writes: Do not
get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). The
principle behind the passage is simply this: Stay away from stuff that will confuse your thoughts,
weaken your inhibitions and make you more vulnerable to sin. If we follow this pattern it is more than
obviouse to see the sin in Jen s life. Besides her own sins, we can that it has been sinned against Jen

Comparing The Starry Night And The Scream
The Starry Night and The Scream Vincent Van Gogh was born in the Netherlands on March 30, 1853.
He pursued many other things in his life before deciding to become an artist. He was brought up in a
religious atmosphere, being the son of a preacher. He was a preacher himself for a while in Borinage,
a mining district in Belgium. At one point he wanted to dedicate his life to reaching out to those in
poverty. At other points in his life he worked as an art salesman and a bookstore clerk. After being
dismissed from preaching in Belgium, he remained there and began to study art. This period, his early
Dutch period, was characterized by somber tones and sharp lighting. The most famous painting to
come from this period was in 1885 and was called The Potato Eaters . In 1886, he joined his brother
Theo in Paris. He was involved in the art world as well, as a manager of Goupil s gallery. Van Gogh
began to study with Cormon and his dark somber palette began to lighten. He started using short brush
strokes and was leaning more towards the Impressionist style (Vincent Van Gogh Bio). Van Gogh had
a dream of establishing an art school and traveled south to Arles to pursue that dream. He wanted his
friends to join him, and Gauguin was the only one that did. His relationship with Gaugin did not end
well though. It s not certain exactly what happened, but there were disputes between the two of them
and it ended with a portion of Van Gogh s earlobe being cut off. Around this time, the end of

A Child s Development On The Early Childhood Classroom Essay
It is clear that play is an intricate part of a child s development. Nearly every milestone a child
accomplishes between the ages of 6 months to 5 years of age, play is how the interpret what they see
and hear, and incorporate everyday adult activities in to imaginative play, to mold and shape the
characters of their personalities. Like Vygotsky theory, Children are practicing what they have learned
in other settings or are constructing new knowledge, it is clear that play has a valuable role in the early
childhood classroom.
Olivia turned four years old, on September 29, 2012. She is a very intelligent and precocious child,
who does want to be the center of attention, but also knows when she has done something wrong. She
is not an only child. She has a brother, Kevin, but it she was unclear in when asked if she had siblings.
When asked if she had any brothers or sisters, she said, Yes, but they are my cousins. It was not until
Ms. Liz, the teacher, who overheard my asking Oliva if she had siblings, chime in and say, You have a
brother Olivia, what about Kevin? Oh, yeah I have Kevin as a brother, Olivia replied. She gave me the
impression that because I was not asking about her, she was not interested in talking about her brother.
Olivia said that she lives with her Mommy and Daddy, and that she always sees her Aunts and
cousins. This led me to believe that her family is close, and involved with one another. Olivia is a very
attention seeking child, and likes to be

Jonas In The Giver By Lois Lowry
Imagine, you are an ordinary member of your society, wanting to grow up like your parents and elders
of the community. Suddenly, you are given the highest position of your society, the Receiver, and soon
to be leader. How would you adjust? In the novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry, Jonas commences as a
naive member of the community, midway he is knowledgeable, in the conclusion he is a courageous
man. In the inception of the novel, Jonas is accustomed to the traditions of his family and all of the
families in his society. Jonas, his parents, and his sister, Lily, convey their dreams to one another each
morning. The sharing of community members dreams and additional customs are established by the
Council of Elders. In addition, the community leaders hold information and memories from the
members of the community: love, hate, war, and hunger. Thus, Jonas is a naive boy, who has no
knowledge on the community s history or its present state. The Council of Elders blind Jonas as well
as his fellow community members, by not informing people on release, senses, feelings, and colors. ...

Jonas has always learned similarly to all kids in his community to share dreams, thoughts and ideas.
This life lesson learned from childhood suddenly does not apply to Jonas. When given the job of the
Receiver, Jonas must learn to keep secrets and suffer pain that he was never exposed to. The new
workers, Jonas s old friends, of the community share their stories and lessons each day after training.
Contrary, Jonas has made the mandatory pledge to stay quiet and never tell a soul about the memories:
love, hate, war, and hunger. Therefore, Jonas is no longer a naive boy but a young man blooming with

BRADEN RISK ASSESSMENT TOOL FOR PREDICTING PRESSURE ULCERS
Pressure ulcers are; damage to the skin or underlying structures from either inadequate perfusion or
tissue compression. (Taber s Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary, 2009, p. 1889). Those at an increased
risk for pressure ulcer formation: older adults, persons with spinal cord injury, surgical patients, obese
patients, underweight patients, children and patients at end of life. (Ruth Nix, 2012, p. 125). The
Braden Scale, is a tool used to help identify a patient s risk of developing a pressure ulcer. ... Show

White and should be implemented. A Low Air Loss mattress allows for air to be evenly distributed
thus pressure on the skin should be more evenly dispersed to help decrease moisture and may help her
pressure ulcer heal. (Ruth Nix, 2012, p. 162). The Low Air Mattress should also help wick moisture
away as Mrs. White experiences hot flashes throughout the day and is also fecal incontinent resulting
in both conditions increasing the moisture on Mrs. White s skin. (Bryant Nix, 2012, p. 162).
Mrs. White s heals are reddened with skin intact at the moment but the possibility of an ulcer
developing on either heel or both heels needs to be addressed. Mrs. White has spastic movement in her
extremities and is transferred in and out of bed putting her heels at risk for a shear injury.
Implementing an offloading product such as heel protectors that will help distribute the weight of the
legs without putting pressure on the Achilles tendon. The Use of a Low Air Loss Mattress may help
her heel pressure as well. (Bryant Nix, 2012, p.

Homeostasis In The Human Body
Homeostasis is a healthy state that is maintained by the constant adjustment of biochemical and
physiological pathways in the human body where a human is able to maintain stability, equilibrium
and consistency needed to carry out its normal reactions. An example of homeostasis in humans is the
maintenance of blood glucose levels which are maintained through the endocrine and nervous
systems. Glucose is a monosaccharide sugar and is the only sugar found in the blood as fructose and
galactose are absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and is converted into glucose in the liver.
Glucose is used by virtually all cells, including neurons (nerve cells) for cellular respiration. This
sugar needs to be present in the blood at all times to fuel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When blood glucose levels rise, there is an increase in soluble glucose molecules in the blood and is
detected by the beta cells of the pancreas in the islets of Langerhans of the endocrine tissue. Beta cells
respond to hyperglycaemic stimuli by producing a hormone called insulin which stimulates cells,
especially adipose and muscle cells, to take up soluble glucose molecules from the blood. Insulin is a
short protein consisting of a string of amino acids with a particular shape. Insulin responds to this
hyperglycaemic change by converting individual glucose molecules to form polysaccharide molecules
called glycogen, which is stored in the liver and muscles and triggering glucose transporter molecules
to gate glucose into the cell.[1] This process is called glycogenesis. Beta cells are the only cells in the
body that produce insulin that enters the bloodstream straight away. The stored insoluble glycogen
causes the amount of glucose present in the bloodstream to decrease and therefore insulin has a
hypoglycaemic effect on the body. The mitochondria of cells require glucose to drive cellular
processes such as muscle movement, and the glucose metabolized

Summary Of The UF SOTD And Tilted Windmills
The UF SOTD and Tilted Windmills Theatricals did a remarkable job at presenting The Magnificent
Revengers by Matt Cox. The production uniquely presented the play by allowing the audience to
interact actively through technology. The technology used in the production made the play
unpredictable and entertaining. Nicole Cannon s fluid acting, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s
casting and blocking choices, and Set Designer Colton Spurlock s set arrangements are key
components that contributed to the success of the production. Nicole Cannon did a spectacular job at
playing the role of Dorothy Kelly in the production through her effective dialogue delivery and body
language. At the beginning of the show, she said her lines in an uncertain and doubtful manner. For
instance, she stuttered and paused many times when she talked to Jonny Triumph (as John Kelly) and
tried to convince him that she may not be the right person to take his revenge. Through this
uncertainty in her tone, she displayed the innocent and unworldly aspect of Dorothy Kelly. As the
show was nearing the climax, she successfully displayed confidence and hunger for revenge in her
voice by speaking louder and with boldness. Through the confidence in her voice, she portrayed
another aspect of Dorothy Kelly; one that was desperate to take her brother s revenge and save her
town. Her body language was also effective in displaying the different emotional states of her
character. For instance, when she was dueling with Thiago Palma (as Mozie Thompson) and was
deciding whether to shoot him or not, she shook her hands steadily while holding the trigger and
twitched her eyes constantly to show anxiousness and hesitancy that Dorothy felt within her. Cannon
also fluidly transitioned between different body movements to make her acting realistic. She
particularly displayed this fluidity in the camping scene when she talked to Katherine Haeuser (as
Mysterious stranger). At first, she sat down with her legs crossed and then she slowly transitioned
towards the sleeping position. She did this so smoothly that it did not appear forced or instantaneous.
Moreover, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices also contributed to the
success of the

  • 7. How Cooperative Learning Impacts Higher Order And Critical... The challenge this researcher faces lies in the structure of a particular Accelerated Math II (10th Grade) curriculum at Lucy C. Laney High School in Augusta, Georgia, in which all students enrolled in the course have to be proficient in all areas of the curriculum. The researcher has observed very little higher order/critical thinking and problem solving and low motivation/morale which may impact student performance in the math course. After a year of intense coursework, including real world application practice, and many short answer and multiple choice assessments, students show minimum performance on an accelerated curriculum provided to them. This challenges the instructional efforts of the teacher to increase the performance and promote higher order thinking in the math class. Therefore the purpose for this study is to determine if cooperative learning impacts higher order/critical thinking skills and student achievement. Review of the Literature Cooperative learning is one of the best studied academic strategies in the history of educational research, with over 1,000 research studies on the subject dating as far back as 1898 (Stanne, Johnson Johnson, 1999). There are so many studies, in fact, that the most easily to get to point of entry into the literature is meta analyses of large numbers of studies. The most important piece of information is that cooperative learning models have been established to have an obviously positive impact on student achievement. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The Tyranny Of Experts Analysis In his book The Tyranny of Experts, William Easterly argues against what he calls the technocratic approach to development, in which expert economists advise an autocrat in how to best develop his country. Easterly instead advocates increasing the individual rights of the people in underdeveloped nations in order to catalyze free development. He uses 3 debates the blank slate vs. learning from history, nations vs. individuals, and conscious design vs. free development to support the free development side of the overarching debate of the novel: authoritarian vs. free development. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Easterly s proof for the learning from history side of the debate is so effective and convincing because it is based almost entirely on statistical data. Using survey data, for example, Easterly is able to show a direct connection between rights and development by tracing the emergences of trends that facilitated rights, and demonstrating how those rights still play a role in economies today. Perhaps his most convincing argument for learning from history is proving that places affected the most by slavery still today have lower levels of trust, lower rights, and therefore lower rates of economic growth. He uses the example of the Aja people, a group often taken as slaves from Benin, which today is one of the poorest countries in Africa. He attributes this poverty to a lack of trust leftover from decades of slave trade, saying, Although the victimization of the Aja was mostly over by 1800, the Aja...scored exceptionally low values of trust today toward other ethnic groups and even toward their fellow Aja (162). Lack of trust amongst ethnic groups hinders trade and innovation and therefore hinders economic growth, which proves that the historical context of Benin can explain its poverty today. Thus Easterly convincingly demonstrates the value of learning from history by showing a correlation between historical oppression and current poverty, using data to back up his claims. The Blank Slate vs. learning from history debate becomes even more convincing when Easterly then goes on to use historical data to prove his stances on the other two debates, revealing that historical data can be of vital importance in many different areas of ... • 9. Feminist Criticism Of Women In Frankenstein In Which a Feminist Killjoy Ruins Frankenstein for Sexists Mary Shelley s Frankenstein does not seem like a novel that empowers women. Based on the doormat esque female characters and entitled male protagonist, one might easily assume that Frankenstein is a typical male penned, patriarchy saturated 19th century work. However, when examined with feminist ideals in mind, Shelley s novel actually makes a progressive argument about the role of women. Though the female characters are certainly lacking in both number and substance, this absence hinders Victor and his goals and does not merely assert that women are useless. In addition, the role of maternity and maternal figures amplifies the meaning of Frankenstein; the creation and caring for of life manifests as an immensely important process with both benefits and consequences, not as merely women s work . Through an analysis of the existing female characters and the lack thereof, as well as by understanding the maternal figures present and how they further the novel, one can see how Shelley s Frankenstein reveals that feminine roles are necessary for a functional society. None of Shelley s female characters in Frankenstein are feminist icons; the women of the novel are written as passive, defined entirely by the men in their lives. This understanding, which informs Stephanie Haddad s article Women as the Submissive Sex in Mary Shelley s Frankenstein , is partially achieved through point of view, specifically that of ... This is something majority of people can relate to. Then he explains how as we get older we acknowledge these miracles as lies because we disprove them scientifically. He also mentions that the concepts of science are miracles and based on that scientists form theories. So far his reasoning is logical. A website article by (Shruti Tripathi Chopra 2015) stated that in 2008 Facebook made and estimated $300 million, that rose to a profit in 2014 of $2.9. The positive implications of social networking sites have no boundaries. Communication between people in the past was, either over the phone or via letter, just to mention a few. Furthermore, with the use of examples from around the world, Corbyn attempts to illustrate that the state is an ineffective manager, and also indicate the positive contributions of national ownership. Furthermore, in the UK, national state ownership has previously been too centralised, with authority in the hands of a private and commercial elite, which promotes Adam Smith s ideology. This is portrayed when he said, Avarice overrates the difference between poverty and riches: ambition, that between a private and a public station... , demonstrating that entrepreneurs drive economies and that their profits are a reward for their own risk, with this being the Just World theory. In addition, the ideology of Freidrich A. Hayek is also supported by this, and is illustrated when he said, The more the state plans the more difficult planning is for the individual , indicating that the state is exploiting and alienating the population of the UK. • 22. Classroom Space Impact On Students And The Overall... There have been a number of studies done to show how the amount of space that is available in a classroom can have an effect on the behavior of the students and the overall environment of the classroom. In 2003, Duncanson found that classroom space impacts how teachers and students behave. He found that classrooms with small amounts of space were prone to have inefficient pathways and look cluttered. In part, it was found that this situation was caused by the large amount of room teachers reserved for their own use and the large amount of space covered by other pieces of furniture. The arrangement of the furniture hampered the natural flow patterns and created small open spaces for students to work. Thus teachers more or less identified and assigned the spaces that were to be used by students while working on an activity (Duncanson, 2003). The ideal classroom is one where there are minimal distractions to learning, focused attention on classroom discussions and positive learning about critical subject material. With this in mind, it is important to understand what causes misbehavior and what can be done to limit it. Misbehavior must be taken in context however, since one must look at the situation and instructor to determine if a particular action falls in the misbehavior category. For example, walking around during a math lesson would be unacceptable, but walking around in a pottery class would be expected (Burden, 1995). In one study by Tiirkniiklii Galton (2001), ... Some of these different types of cells are Muscle cells. These muscle cells are for helping movement. There are also nerve cells. These cells are used for carrying messages around the body so that the body is able to react to things such as pain. When cells are grouped together they form what is known as a tissue. Different types of tissue make up different types of organs. The 3 main types of tissue are Muscular, Nerve and Epithelial. The muscular tissue is made up of three forms, they include the skeletal, smooth and cardiac tissues. Skeletal tissue is voluntary which means that it is used in the movements of the skeletal components. The Nerve tissue is a group of cells which react to, many different types of stimuli. They transmit messages throughout the body which can include things such as temperature, pain, and pressure. Epithelial tissue is when cells that form together create the lining of a surface an example of this would be the skin and muscle tissue. The Skeletal System The skeletal system works as the frame of the body and it is made up of two hundred and six various bones. The Sections used in the movements of the skeletal system are; the bones, Joints, ligaments and tendons. This system is also divided into two sections known as the Axial and Appendicular skeleton. ABSTRACT In High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) therapy system, electrical impedance matching networks should be used between the ultrasound transducer and signal generator in order to maximize the electrical power transmission. Impedance matching networks are designed based on LC resonant networks and that can be analyzed by analytical design theory and smith chart design technique. Graphical method using smith chart is adapted to understand the concept. The reflective power should be reduced after successfully matching the electrical circuit. However, the problem with our case, HIFU transducer has been observed with significant amount of reflective during LC matching network; that reflective power has to be reduced as much as possible. In order to eliminate reflective power we tried transformer matching instead of LC network and we are getting desired output. Even after that, we are getting slightly change over working resonance frequency which is not optimum for highly focused ultrasound transducer application or any other application. However, if we propose broadband matching network for transducer matching then we can increase the range of working frequency and we can compensate that problem. To conclude, transmission power can be increased by implementing broadband electrical matching networks. [1] Charge transport in organic semiconductors: Various materials are available that transport either electrons or holes. This distinction does not rely on the actual ability of materials to transport charges ( ie. On the actual value of charge mobility). But rather reflects the ease of charge injection from electrodes traditionally used in devices. In that context, a material is often referred to as a hole [electron] transporter when its ionization energy [electron affinity] closely matches the Fermi level of the electrode material. Materials that transport both electrons and holes are also available nowadays these materials are called ambipolar transport materials.[2] The charge transport in organic materials is similar to that in the conventional semiconductors, the charge carriers (electrons or holes) have to overcome the barrier potential formed at the junction of metal and the semiconductor. The carriers are then injected into the organic semiconductor layer. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He was a preacher himself for a while in Borinage, a mining district in Belgium. At one point he wanted to dedicate his life to reaching out to those in poverty. At other points in his life he worked as an art salesman and a bookstore clerk. After being dismissed from preaching in Belgium, he remained there and began to study art. It was not until Ms. Liz, the teacher, who overheard my asking Oliva if she had siblings, chime in and say, You have a brother Olivia, what about Kevin? Oh, yeah I have Kevin as a brother, Olivia replied. She gave me the impression that because I was not asking about her, she was not interested in talking about her brother. Olivia said that she lives with her Mommy and Daddy, and that she always sees her Aunts and cousins. This led me to believe that her family is close, and involved with one another. Olivia is a very attention seeking child, and likes to be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

White and should be implemented. A Low Air Loss mattress allows for air to be evenly distributed thus pressure on the skin should be more evenly dispersed to help decrease moisture and may help her pressure ulcer heal. (Ruth Nix, 2012, p. 162). The Low Air Mattress should also help wick moisture away as Mrs. White experiences hot flashes throughout the day and is also fecal incontinent resulting in both conditions increasing the moisture on Mrs. White s skin. (Bryant Nix, 2012, p. 162). Mrs. White s heals are reddened with skin intact at the moment but the possibility of an ulcer developing on either heel or both heels needs to be addressed. Mrs. White has spastic movement in her extremities and is transferred in and out of bed putting her heels at risk for a shear injury. • 47. Homeostasis In The Human Body Homeostasis is a healthy state that is maintained by the constant adjustment of biochemical and physiological pathways in the human body where a human is able to maintain stability, equilibrium and consistency needed to carry out its normal reactions. An example of homeostasis in humans is the maintenance of blood glucose levels which are maintained through the endocrine and nervous systems. Glucose is a monosaccharide sugar and is the only sugar found in the blood as fructose and galactose are absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract and is converted into glucose in the liver. Glucose is used by virtually all cells, including neurons (nerve cells) for cellular respiration. This sugar needs to be present in the blood at all times to fuel ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When blood glucose levels rise, there is an increase in soluble glucose molecules in the blood and is detected by the beta cells of the pancreas in the islets of Langerhans of the endocrine tissue. Beta cells respond to hyperglycaemic stimuli by producing a hormone called insulin which stimulates cells, especially adipose and muscle cells, to take up soluble glucose molecules from the blood. Insulin is a short protein consisting of a string of amino acids with a particular shape. Insulin responds to this hyperglycaemic change by converting individual glucose molecules to form polysaccharide molecules called glycogen, which is stored in the liver and muscles and triggering glucose transporter molecules to gate glucose into the cell.[1] This process is called glycogenesis. Beta cells are the only cells in the body that produce insulin that enters the bloodstream straight away. The stored insoluble glycogen causes the amount of glucose present in the bloodstream to decrease and therefore insulin has a hypoglycaemic effect on the body. The mitochondria of cells require glucose to drive cellular processes such as muscle movement, and the glucose metabolized ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Summary Of The UF SOTD And Tilted Windmills The UF SOTD and Tilted Windmills Theatricals did a remarkable job at presenting The Magnificent Revengers by Matt Cox. The production uniquely presented the play by allowing the audience to interact actively through technology. The technology used in the production made the play unpredictable and entertaining. Nicole Cannon s fluid acting, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices, and Set Designer Colton Spurlock s set arrangements are key components that contributed to the success of the production. Nicole Cannon did a spectacular job at playing the role of Dorothy Kelly in the production through her effective dialogue delivery and body language. At the beginning of the show, she said her lines in an uncertain and doubtful manner. For instance, she stuttered and paused many times when she talked to Jonny Triumph (as John Kelly) and tried to convince him that she may not be the right person to take his revenge. Through this uncertainty in her tone, she displayed the innocent and unworldly aspect of Dorothy Kelly. As the show was nearing the climax, she successfully displayed confidence and hunger for revenge in her voice by speaking louder and with boldness. Through the confidence in her voice, she portrayed another aspect of Dorothy Kelly; one that was desperate to take her brother s revenge and save her town. Her body language was also effective in displaying the different emotional states of her character. For instance, when she was dueling with Thiago Palma (as Mozie Thompson) and was deciding whether to shoot him or not, she shook her hands steadily while holding the trigger and twitched her eyes constantly to show anxiousness and hesitancy that Dorothy felt within her. Cannon also fluidly transitioned between different body movements to make her acting realistic. She particularly displayed this fluidity in the camping scene when she talked to Katherine Haeuser (as Mysterious stranger). At first, she sat down with her legs crossed and then she slowly transitioned towards the sleeping position. She did this so smoothly that it did not appear forced or instantaneous. Moreover, Director Kristin McCarthy Parker s casting and blocking choices also contributed to the success of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
