• Distally, the outline of the crown is usually concave
between the cervical line and the distal contact area.
• Mesially, the outline of the crown may be convex
or slight concavity from the cervix to the center of
the mesial contact area.
• The cusp has a mesial
slope and a distal slope, the mesial slope is
shorter .Both slopes show a tendency
toward concavity

The center of thecontact area
at the junction of middle and
incisal thirds.

The distalcontact area is usually
at the center of the middle third of
the crown.

Step by Step
• Draw the Midline
• Put zero point and continue to complete the Crown Length = 10
mm
• Complete the root length = 17 mm
• The mesiodistal width at cervix = 5.5 mm (2.75|2.75)
• Mesial curvature of the cervical line : 2.5 mm Distally : 1.5 mm
• The mesiodistal width at widest area = 7.5 mm (3.75|3.75)
• The widest area is 4.5 mm from the zero point
• The Contact area determined from the widest area its 1.5 down
mesially and 0.5 up distally
• Connect the points of the crown first then the root
