Drawing& Carving of
Posterior Permanent Teeth
By
Prof.Dr. Malak Soliman
&
Dr. Hussein El Maghraby
Drawing of the Permanent Posterior Teeth
• The five aspects of
each tooth are drawn
on graph paper. Every
measurement will be 4
times that of the
natural tooth. The page
will be divided into 4
equal rectangular for
the buccal, lingual
,mesial &distal surfaces
.A small square is
drawn for the occlusal
aspect.

•The mesial& distal outlines
are slightly concave .
•The mesial contact area is
convex and is located at the
middle third just occlusal to
the crown midway 34/2 -1=16
•The distal contact area is
convex and is located at the
junction of the occlusal

occlusal surface, 34/3).
•The mesial cusp slope is
longer than the distal one.
•The lingual cusp is shorter
by 4mm and narrower
than the buccal one.

10 drawing of-posterior_teeth_-practical_-_4

  • 1. Drawing& Carving of Posterior Permanent Teeth By Prof.Dr. Malak Soliman & Dr. Hussein El Maghraby
  • 2. Drawing of the Permanent Posterior Teeth • The five aspects of each tooth are drawn on graph paper. Every measurement will be 4 times that of the natural tooth. The page will be divided into 4 equal rectangular for the buccal, lingual ,mesial &distal surfaces .A small square is drawn for the occlusal aspect. Buccal Lingual Mesial Distal Occlusal
