Manipulations

4. I created a collage in
order to experiment
with colour, texture
and layers. I then
scanned this collage in
to use it in my
manipulations.
Within my collage
there are metal clips,
brown parcel paper,
cut up digital collages,
pencil crayon in red,
pages from books and
digital edits on acetate.
5. This is a board that I created, layered
objects on to, sanded, added texture
then printed off in blue ink onto
paper. I did this so that I could use
the print behind some of my
materials I needed for my cover
practise.
This was all carved into to create the
deep lines and where there is texture
I used glued sand to create the
pattern.

9. Through process of experimentation I created each of these cover images. They
all have the same contents just through different visible layers, styles of colour. I
like these because they are powerful pieces and work well together even though
they are not connected at all. I did this in order to experiment with Photoshop
techniques, see what worked for me and what I could use for my digi-pack in my
A2 year of Media alongside my music video.
10. My Inspiration
I used this painting by Hudertwasser as my inspiration for my back cover of the practise
digi pack and where I could write the titles to each song. I didn’t have a solid idea here
so my experimentation techniques where to try everything to see what happened and
then go from there with each design, add colour and change styles.

14. I used this collage edit of three of
the long exposure images I earlier
created as my back baseline
throughout the edits of my back
cover.
15. I then added the
Bauhaus inspired print
work and previous
sketch to the edit of the
collage.
16. I progressively
added different
sketches to the edit
that I had drawn
before and added
more colour. I
experimented
further with this by
then experimenting
with text afterwards.
