Management art or science
This document discusses whether management is a science or an art. It argues that management has elements of both. As a science, management principles have universal acceptance, are developed through experimentation and observation, and show cause-and-effect relationships. However, management also requires creativity, personal skills, and goal orientation like an art, since it deals with human behavior which is not perfectly predictable. Therefore, management is considered an inexact science that also has artistic elements.
