Bauer Media is a German media company founded in 1875 that publishes magazines worldwide and has expanded into TV, radio, and marketing services. It employs over 11,000 people across 17 countries and generated €2.4 billion in revenue in 2013. Originally a magazine publisher, Bauer Media now owns numerous radio stations and some TV stations internationally.

across the World.
 Bauer was founded in 1875 and is now run by
Yvonne Bauer, in Hamburg, Germany where there
main headquarters is located.
 Since 1875 they have expanded into different
markets including TV and radio and they now also
have their own distribution and marketing services.
 Bauer media currently employ over 11,000 people
in 17 different countries.
 In 2013 Bauer Media’s revenue was approximately
2.4 billion Euros

6.  At the beginning of the 19th century, Bauer is one of the first companies
ever to publish a free advertising paper in Germany: the
Rothenburgsorter Zeitung. In the 1920s the Extrablatt am Montag (a
special edition on Monday) is established, which later becomes a sports
newspaper.
 The weekly radio magazine Rundfunk-Kritik emerges at the end of the
1920s and quickly reaches a print run of more than half a million copies.
With magazine titles that were stylistically influential in their respective
segments and which swiftly became best-sellers – to the tune of several
million copies –, the publishing house succeeds in breaking into the
magazine market in Germany after the end of the Second World War.
 In the 1950s and 1960s Bauer makes a name for itself with its
programme and youth magazines.
 The 1970s sees the formation of the women's weeklies’ segment with
the magazines tina and bella.
 In the 1980s and 1990s the portfolio is expanded to include shares in
the private television broadcaster RTL II, the private radio station Radio
Hamburg as well as – with the acquisition of the traditional daily paper
Magdeburger Volksstimme – the largest daily newspaper in northern
Saxony-Anhalt.

media conglomerate which produces more
than just magazines.
 Time Warner produce everything in the media
world from TV and Films to merchandise and
they even have there own theme park rides
from some of their most successful films
such as Harry Potter.
