How to Create Map Views in the Odoo 17 ERPCeline George
The map views are useful for providing a geographical representation of data. They allow users to visualize and analyze the data in a more intuitive manner.
2. In what ways does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
My music magazine follows the conventions of music
magazines, yet I like the idea of focusing the house style on the
main artist on the cover.
Here on my magazine the
masthead is the colour pink
to follow the artist on the
cover, Pink Cherry. This NME
cover with Rihanna on is
similar.
Paradox
I have a barcode placed on my
magazine to make the
magazine look more
professional and more like a
real product.
In this NME issue the main
feature is Lily Allen and they
scattered the headline. I liked
this idea so I tried a similar
style on mine.
I used strip lines to pull in the
target audience, they are
Cover featured on both the top and
bottom of my magazine.
3. My main focus on my
magazine is the artist.
Although she looks quite
subtle and sweet I think she
dominates the cover, this
represents how powerful she
is as an artist. This NME cover
demonstrates this as well.
Paradox
Cover lines are an essential
part of any magazine. The
cover lines are a
conventional which I
developed and absorbed
into my own house style.
Cover I have the issue number
and date to make the
overall product look more
professional.
4. In this contents page you can see how my
final product is similar. I liked the feature
of showing a image with a page number
instead of the conventional contents.
This NME contents page inspired
my own magazine, the target
audience for NME is similar to my
target audience, for this reason my
contents includes some similar
features like the Band Index and
the festival guide box.
Paradox
The main image on my contents is the same
artist as my cover, this sticks with magazine
conventions as many the artist on the cover I put a small editorial in my
is the main feature. magazine to inform the reader
what this issue contains, many
magazines do this so this sticks
with the conventions. I put a
signature on the end of the
editorial to make my product look
more professional.
Contents
5. My double page spread
focuses on the main artist
featured throughout my
magazine. The typography
throughout this page is a
correct size and I followed
conventions of most
interviews with a question
and answer style based
article. I have an
introduction to the article
which isn’t in columns as
Paradox
many magazines do this so I
thought this followed the
conventions, however the
rest of the article is wrote in
columns to stick with the
codes and conventions.
I made small indent of text
quoting some of the response
from the article. I think this
improves the overall
appearance of the magazine
and makes it look more like a
professional product.
I introduced the article by
hooking the reader with some
creative lettering, hear in this
Double NME you can see that they do a
similar thing to introduce Nicki
Minaj.

6. In this NME magazine the house style throughout the magazine depends on which artist is on the
Paradox
cover. I have tried to adapt this idea to my magazine, since the artist on my cover is Pink Cherry I
have used them to base my house style on. Throughout this issue my main colour is Pink, I have even
used this colour for my mast head. However if there was to be another issue the house style would
change yet again to try match the artist on the cover. In these NME examples you can see how they
do it.
