INTRODUCTION • Macintosh Operating System shortly named as MAC OS. • 2 separate terminologies used be users – MAC MAC OS • Mac OS is the computer Operating System for Apple computer's Macintosh line of personal computers and workstations. • First GUI based OS launched by Apple Inc. • Supported on Mac PCs, laptops & tabs.

It could also be run on Intel platform. • Mac OS x 10.5 offers enhanced user interface with virtual desktops, a fast file preview and dock with 3D effect, time machine for backups. • Also guarantees UNIX support & porting of UNIX applications according to Standard UNIX 03 certification in November 2007. • Security was boost up with 11 enhancements. • Mac OS X 10.6 can support up to 16 TB of memory. • Latest Mac OS X versions have their own app store.

But in European & American nations Mac always is in high demand.
