characters of "Macbeth" but also in identifying suitable works for comparison.
Firstly, delving into the complexities of "Macbeth" demands a comprehensive grasp of
Shakespearean language and the cultural context of the play. Analyzing the characters, their

2. Essay on Benjamin Franklin
Benjamin Franklin (An A+ Essays Original Paper, written by WeirdHTML)
Benjamin Franklin was one of the first and most famous scientists in America. He
was a man of many talents and interests. Franklin was always curios about they way
things work, and he always tried to find ways to make them work better. Even
though he started out as a published, he was always interested in science. However
this interest soon became a passion to Franklin. He even retired from his publishing
business to work in a laboratory with his mostly homemade equipment. Throughout
his life Benjamin Franklin made many important discoveries and theories which
greatly influenced future scientists and inventors.

Franklin realized that if a piece of silk were rubbed against a glass, the glass would
have a positive charge. Other scientists at that time believed that rubbing produced
electricity, however Franklin said that it was just the electric fluid being transferred
from the silk to the glass. This is known today as the law of conservation of change
and it is one of the basic principles of physics.
Franklin published his theories in a book titled Experiments and Observations on
Electricity Made at Philadelphia . It became a best seller in Europe as well as in
the colonies. The main topic of this book was Franklin s theory that lightning was
electrical energy. This was not a new idea, but Benjamin Franklin was the first to
perform an experiment on it. He said that if a metal rod was to be placed on top of
a tower or a tall building, it would be struck by lightning and hold an electrical
charge. Many scientists in Europe tried this experiment, and some had successful
results. When a French scientist, De Lor, attempted to repeat one of the proposed
experiments from the book a huge crowd of curious people had gathered in Paris to
see it.
In 1752 Franklin devised another experiment to test if lighting has an electrical
charge. He flied a kite carrying a pointed wire in a thunderstorm and attempted to test
his theory that atmospheric lightning is an electrical phenomenon similar to the spark
produced by an electrical frictional machine (Bruno 406). To

4. The Safety Techniques And Management Strategies Essay
In today s world, coal is the most commonly used fossil fuel. The coal present in
the Pike River Coal Mine had some distinctive qualities. It was bright, lustrous
coking coal with several properties that was sought after by the international steel
makers. They used coke as a source of fuel for blasting furnaces and carbon was used
to bind with iron to produce steel. Therefore, Pike coals unique property of producing
low ash and high fluidity made it potentially valuable resource.
Underground mining is very hazardous due to some reasons like lack of fresh air,
poor ventilation, poor lighting and high level of poisonous gas. Thus, several safety
precautions should be taken for the well being of the miners. Due to lack of these
safety precautions and poor management strategies, on 19th November 2010 an
explosion at Pike River Coal Mine left 29 miners dead. This report will further
discuss on the safety techniques and management strategies taken by the three
protagonists of Pike River Coal Mine the managers, the state and the workers.
OUTSOURCING:
Outsourcing is one of the important management strategy that provides wider access
to world class capabilities and share risks with a partner company. Outsourcing in
mining industry depends on two factors: production factors and capacity based
factors. Production factors are mostly related to the strategic level of outsourcing
whereas capacity based factors related to the tactical level. The Pike River Coal

The Way of The Warrior in The Tale of The Heike
Heike Monogatari, with its multitude of battles and skirmishes, provides a wonderful
chance to analyze the way of the warrior in ancient Japan. There aren t a great
number of surviving works from this period that show in such great detail both the
brute and the compassion of the Japanese warriors. They followed carefully a distinct
set of principles which made up the well rounded warrior. Loyalty to one s master,
bravery and glory in any situation, strength, martial skills, compassion, and interest in
the arts were all held with the highest esteem. Few warriors could become well
known without possessing each of these skills. Religious beliefs shaped a warrior s
behavior tremendously. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, the bow and arrow held special significance performing such rituals, and
serving as serving the warrior as a powerful weapon. During one battle at Katsuura,
the Genji warrior Yoichi Munetaka was chosen to hit a fan that was placed on bow
of a Taira warship, beconing any archer to show his worth by shooting it down.
Munetaka, unsure, says, I am not sure I can hit it. It would be an eternal disgrace
to our side if I missed it.(p.367) Ordered by Yoshitsune to fire on the fan and
affraid to refuse, Munetaka closed his eyes in silent prayer. Hail, Great
Bodhisattva Hachiman and ye gods of my province at Nikko, Utsu no miya and
Nasu Yuzen! Vouchsafe that I may hit the center of that fan. If I miss, I will smash
my bow and kill myself; I will never show my face to others again. If it is your will
that I return home, keep my arrow from straying. When he opened his eyes, the wind
seemed somewhat gentler, and the fan looked easier to hit. (p.368) Warriors often
conducted such prayers to bring them good luck and safety on the battlefield.
Once the battle commenced, it was proper for skilled warriors to battle opposing
warriors of the same rank one on one. He would step forward and make a
proclamation such as this, You must have heard of me long ago. See me now with
your own eyes! Everyone at Miidera knows me! I am the worker monk Jomyo Meishu
6. The Findings After Testing Quantized Inertia On The
Emdrive
The purpose of this article was to report the findings after testing quantized inertia on
the EmDrive. The authors predicted that the thrust produced by the EmDrive can be
explained assuming that the inertial mass of the photons is caused by unruh
radiation. Multiple experiments took place in several independent labs, and produced
results that were similar to the predicted values for thrust. The computations of the
results did not sufficiently model wave oscillations in 3D, thus the authors
recommend further testing in order to produce more accurate findings.
The text is formatted as a journal article and has been peer reviewed. It was
published on August 31, 2015, in Europhyiscs Letters, a journal founded in 1986 by
the European Physical Society. The article references multiple sources that are also
academically reliable.
This source will be used to introduce one of the current theories attempting to
explain how the EmDrive produces thrust. The article also addresses the lack of
scientific explanation which will help to prove my own credibility in the report as I
address a multitude of theories. Because the article was published recently I will
likely introduce this source last.

7. Dominant Limb
Handedness is closely associated with the term dominant arm/leg in that it refers to
the limb an individual is more comfortable using when it comes to motor skills.
Research has shown the dominant limb is stronger, faster, and more accurate in
certain tasks than the non dominant limb. A couple theories try to explain why there
is this difference and the neurophysiological aspect of how it works. The open versus
closed loop hypothesis of handedness refers to the motor response from sensory
information in order to correct movements. The dynamic dominance of handedness
hypothesis states the non dominant limb is responsible for maintaining static
positions or postures while the dominant limb is in control of the path taken when the
limb is moved.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When comparing the 20 and 40 degree angles, the error was almost doubled in the
dominant arm at 40 degrees than at 20. However, the non dominant arm did not see a
significant difference. Overall, it was seen that the non dominant arms of the subjects
had better accuracy in replicating the target positions based on proprioceptive
feedback, especially when it came to larger scale movements. These findings are
similar to other research, but more is still needed to fully comprehend the difference
between dominant and non dominant limbs in regards to proprioception and sensory

our behaviors. Observeable behavior Psychoanalysis emphasized the influence of the
unconscious mind on behavior. Freud believed that the human mind was composed
of three elements: the id, the ego, and the superego. Humanistic psychology
humanistic psychology began as a reaction to psychoanalysis and behaviorism, which
dominated psychology at the time. Psychoanalysis was focused on understanding the
unconscious motivations that drive behavior while behaviorism studied the
conditioning processes that produce behavior. Humanist thinkers felt that both
psychoanalysis and behaviorism were too pessimistic, either focusing on the most
tragic of emotions or failing to take into account the role of personal choice.
Humanistic psychology was instead focused on each individual s potential and
stressed the importance of growth and self actualization. The fundamental belief of
humanistic psychology is that people are innately good and that mental and social
problems result from deviations from this natural tendency. Cognitive psychology the

There were significant animosities between labor and management at the time of this

labor relations would have been more amiable. There are many factors that could
have interfered with the maintenance personnel performing the repairs properly

been affected. This pressure could stem from many areas such as working conditions,
to experiencing marital, family, or health problems.
The laboratory was able to determine that the filament in this bulb was not burning at

Control Tower that they had an unsafe gear indication. The aircraft made a low

was late August 2008, and the reporters were inquiring about Afrika, a new safari
videogame for Sony s PlayStation 3 (PS3) console that allowed players to watch
wild animals and take virtual pictures. Hirai could not help feeling frustrated. Most

television maker Magnavox introduced Odyssey, the first home videogame
console. Priced at $100 (the equivalent of $516 in 2008 dollars),c Odyssey needed
a television screen to project its very limited action. The system came with 12
games, including versions of tennis and ping pong, each on a printed circuit
board.5 However, partly due to some uninspired marketing and distribution
decisions, Odyssey s appeal proved limited. Magnavox sold more than 100,000
game systems by year end, but sales quickly declined and Odyssey was pulled from
the market.6 Enter Atari Around the same time, a young entrepreneur named Nolan
Bushnell was developing arcade games with the use of then new microprocessor
technology.7 In 1972, the company he started, Atari, launched its first hit game an
arcade version of ping pong.8 In Pong, two players batted a ball of light back and

Defense
We have learned as a Nation that we must maintain a constant, capable, and vigilant
posture to protect ourselves against new threats and evolving hazards. But we have
also learned that vigilance and protection are not ends in and of themselves, but rather
necessary tools in the service of our national purpose. (Napolitano, 2010, p.iv) In the
wake of the September 11th, 2001 attacks our nation has taken upon itself extreme
vigilance to ensure the security and defense of the American people. The relationship
between homeland security and homeland defense is one that is tightly knit. Each

North America Our Nation s most vital interests are the safety and security of our
people and territory and our way of life. We will defend the homeland and play a
critical role in supporting homeland security. We will work with the Department of

Strategy outlines specifically that the U.S. military will work synergistically with the
Department of Homeland Security to ensure the security of our nation s core territory
and interest. The requirements levied upon the homeland defense mission are very
overt in nature. The military takes bold action to the conventional threats against the
United States such as nuclear inter continental ballistic missiles or unwarranted
territorial expansions. Today we see violent extremism spreading across and
controlling other nations which poses a major threat

16. The Importance Of Perfectionism
Human has created by God perfectly, but human being fell in Eden garden, then
human became imperfect, so the imperfect human being can t from perfect feats. No
human accomplishments can be qualified perfectly, thus to seek perfectionism is a
dream or utopia. Moreover, the research shows us a lot of theories need to be
enhanced in exact sciences; mathematics, physics biology, also in social sciences.
Therefore, the problem with perfectionism is as to cut the air in the hands. However,
a humancan realize the extraordinary feats in timeand space. Although perfectionism
undermines excellence, the history and the present are still the witness of the
perfectionist talents as James Watt, who modified the steam machine of Newcomen
and Savery, Michelangelo, and Steve Jobs for Apple s and iPhone, so on, which
perfectionist endeavors contributed to impact the society positively. However, the
problem with the perfectionists needs to recognize the human being limit which can t
create perfect efforts.
Perfectionism is an obstacle for the creativity because it spotlights the efforts to attain
the result out of the achievement. Furthermore, because perfectionists often focus on
problems and weaknesses, rather than strengths and opportunities, this can create a
highly negative climate (Livesey, 2016). Sieving people capacities to generate the
innovative ideas, perfectionism makes people afraid to effort doing an endeavor that
the world can judge you unable creating additional items.

History of TPM
TPM, a unique Japanese system of managerial expertise, was created in 1971, based
on the PM (preventive maintenance or productive maintenance) concept introduced
from the United States in the 1950s through the 1960s. Subsequently, in the 1970s
through the 1980s, TPM gradually developed as its remarkable achievements
because recognized. TPM now permeates entire company structures, every line of
business, and all parts of the world; this is evidenced by a sharp increase in the
number of business establishments receiving PM awards based on TPM, the shift
from production sector TPM to company wide TPM, and the growing number of
countries in which TPM is practiced.

20. European Colonization Of Native Americans
European diseases were responsible for the deaths of more than half of the Incan
empire and for the passing of as much as ninety percent of the natives of coastal
New England (Mann, 1491 ). Such a reduction of the strength and numbers of
American Indian civilization was a considerable promoting factor in European
conquest of and colonization of the Americas. If Native Americans had been
capable of exhibiting a more formidable immunological response to European
pathogens, colonization of the Americas would have followed a vastly different
path, leading to tremendous differences in the development of the New World and
the Old World and their mutual relationship. If European disease had not affected
Native Americans, the native populations of the New World would have been able
to create a much more successful military resistance to foreign invaders. An utterly
decimated Native American population was unable to oppose a superior European

destroyed Native American populations. Many researchers have tried to estimate
the population of pre Columbian America. Historian Dr. Henry F. Dobyns has
suggested that the native population reached levels as far as 112 million in 1491
before Columbus s arrival. This number plummeted to less than 6 million by 1650,
largely as a result of exposure to wave after wave of European diseases, which
proved to be extremely effective at terrorizing the native population
21. House Of Commons Vs Germany Essay
Firstly, Canada is constitutional monarchy and parliamentary democracy ,but
Germany is a federal country. Compare two governments they have similarity and
difference. First, Canada s legislative branch have 3 parts, they are House of

Quebecois),Senate, and Governor General, but Germany have two parts of legislative ,
they are Bundestag(5 major parties are CDU,CSU,SPD,The Left and Alliance 90/The

The steps of senate is the same, only number 3 steps is different, they send to the
senate committee. If senate passed and then Governor General would sign up the
bill, usually the Governor General has to sign up every document. If the bill can
not pass the House of Commons and senate, the bill needs to be reconsidered.
Conversely, the process of law making in Germany is different from Canada s.
First the Bundestag introduce a bill, and it is sent to the bundesrat, and then if it is
passed it will sent to executive departments. The Joint Conference Committee will
integrate point of disagreement between two legislative chambers. When
compromise bill that emerges from both legislative chambers and the cabinet,
after a president signed. The bill will become a law. Therefore, both legislative
branch of Canada and Germany, the process of law making is rigorous and
complex, but after so many steps to making the law must also be good for the
people. Therefore, Canada s laws making is more complex compare with Germany,
but German does not have too much people and area,so that they can easier to make
a law and save more

Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart was a quote by Kahlil
Gibran. This quote has to deal with the story called the The Slip Over Sweater
because a guy named Shan mainly focuses on impressing a girl named Jo Anne.
Important to realize, that Shan is in love with Jo Anne because of her looks and
not realizing his friend Grace s inner beauty. In The Slip Over Sweater passage
there are many differences and a few similarities that Shan sees between Grace s
and Jo Anne s outer beauty but only one main difference in Grace s inner beauty.
To start off with, the difference between Grace and Jo Anne is that Grace is
smarter than Jo Anne. The evidence that stated Grace being smarter than Jo Anne
was in the passage that said, Grace was almost sure to be valedictorian of our class.
On the other hand, the evidence that said Jo Anne was not as smart as Grace was in
the passage that stated, she wasn t one of the best students in the class, her grades
were not high at all. In addition, Shan said that Jo Anne was more popular than
Grace at Gadsen High school. To put in different words, the passage stated, Jo Anne
was the prettiest and most popular in Gadsen High school, she was elected May
Queen. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To begin with, Shan states that Grace and Jo Anne are both pretty girls which was
stated in the passage which said, Grace was a good looking girl, but Jo Anne was the
prettiest and most popular girl in Gadsen High school. Important to realize, Shan
thought of Grace as a sister in the middle of story when he said that. For this reason,
Shan said Jo Anne was prettiest girl at Gadsen High School. Another thing, Grace
and Jo Anne are both alike by going to the same school. To point out, the evidence
that supports this is shown above. As can be seen, Grace and Jo Anne have just a few
similarities between them, unlike all of their differences between

Anne Riley Laid Off: One of the most interesting topics covered in class for me
was that of emotions and moods. I have a hard time understanding when and how
to express my emotions. This has been a real problem for me in all of my
relationships, both professional and personal. Though I have never been laid off I
feel I relate to the case of Anne Riley to some degree. Anne was able to better
understand and recognize her emotions and in the long run benefited from that
knowledge. The case begins with Anne Riley meeting with a recruiter from Goldman

The case describes her determination and hard work. Raised by her mother Anne
began earning her own money at the age of 15. Anne was the first in her family to
attend college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in
finance. She understood from a young age that work offered a direct payoff; the
harder she worked the bigger her reward in the end. Anne, like me, had goals for
her life. She had a direction and path she wanted to follow and knew what she had
to do to get there. She had chosen a career in private equity and knew that a person
with these aspirations spent a few years after college working and moving up
within a firm before attending school. Anne was offered a position with Storrow
after a rough interview process. Anne soon relocated to a new city leaving her
family, friends, and life behind her in New York. Being confident in her goals and
plans Anne found a nice apartment, furnished it, and began a small family
(adopted a dog). Like Anne, I too relocated to a new city in order to pursue my
current job. I moved quickly leaving behind friends and relationships I had come to
cherish. I moved into an apartment with my small family not knowing the area or
anyone near us. I too felt confident in myself and knew I would be here for a while
moving up in my career. I have invested in my education because I know that if I

24. Review Of Nicolo And Maffeo Polo
In 1260, Nicolo and Maffeo Polo set forth on their first journey to the East. After
traveling from the East to the land of the Tartar they reached the Kublai Khan
court. The Khan questioned them about the Catholic faith and asked them to
return to Europe and request the pope to send missionaries. However, when the
two explorers returned they learned that Pope Clement was dead. After that discovery
they also revealed Nicolo s wife had died while giving birth to a son, who is now in
his teenage years. After the passing of the Pope there was a long delay in naming a
new one. In 1271, Marco Poloset forth navigating across exotic lands with his father
and uncle on a journey that lasted several years. Marco Polo discovered trade and
religion that has brought the world together today. The beginning of their journey led
to them being accepted into the Kublai KhanCourt. This journey took place across
deserts, mountains, and seas in East Asia, continuing along the Silk Road, and
through regions that were unknown to the Western World. Also, they had many
encounters with creatures, plants, and humans from different cultures. Through
acceptance and service, Marco Polo was led to places far away that were rich of
gems, gold, and silk. Yet, when participating in a military conflict in 1298 he was
taken captive. Marco Polo, the son of a Venetian merchant and traveler, has become
one of the most famous European travelers because of the documentation of his
journey. Marco Polo
25. Legalization Of Cannabis In Scotland
This report provides an analysis and evaluation of the current law in Scotland
regarding cannabis. It provides information and statistics about the potential medical
benefits from cannabis use. However, in turn it shows research indicating the mental
and physical harm the drug can cause. The aim of this report was to answer the
question: Should cannabisbe legalised in Scotland? . Through the information
presented and questioned, Scotland or the UK in general should look to legalise or
decriminalise cannabis, as there is a wide array of medical benefits that cannabis can
provide for those in pain. Substances such as alcohol and tobacco are legal, yet they
are behind a substantial number of deaths and ailments throughout Scotland every

The Scottish National Party announced their backing of the decriminalising of
cannabis for medical use in Scotland last year, the members of the party sought to
gain the authority over cannabis from the UK government and that it be delegated to
the Scottish parliament. Cannabis was initially banned in 1928, medical
prescriptions however were still permitted until the introduction of the 1971 act. In
between those two years, the growing of cannabis was outlawed in 1964. Thus,
making cannabis a controlled substance. Hospital admissions from cannabis use

Scottish Conservatives it states that 834 (14 per cent) of the 5922 people admitted
to hospital after drug use in 2015/16 had taken cannabis. The figure is more than
double the lowest rate of 5 per cent recorded in 2000/01 but below a high of 16 per
cent in 2005/06. However, the Scottish Conservatives are known for being against
the legalisation and decimalisation of cannabis use, this information could be biased
and it cannot be affirmed if these hospitalisations were strictly from cannabis by itself
or if any other substance was

to be delivered to his people, but he knew that as a black man he could never just

he need to go to the caucasus region and find a pure caucasian woman to give birth

Master Fard Muhammadcan t be God because his mother is white, but that is
fallacious. Dr.Wesley points out that if you plant an apple seed in Africa, Asia, Or
Europe it will still germinate as an apple tree. Just like Fard was the seed of his father
and his mother was like the soil.
Master Fard Muhammad first came into America in 1910, entering through New

him cry. From there he went to California and enrolled in the University of Southern

27. Romeo And Juliet s Death
It only takes one person to take another person s life. Ones morals, beliefs, and
values can affect another. A man who makes the irresponsible decision to drink
and drive can take someone s life in seconds. If that man crashes and hits and kills
another driver, their one decision to drink and drive has a bigger outcome than
they expected. In the story of Romeo and Juliet, the two lovers remain separated
because of one man s decisions that change the whole story. A decision no matter
its size, or how thoughtfully it is made, can lead to an outcome that may be small
and even life changing. One has to be blamed for an ending, so who is at fault for
Romeo and Juliet s death? Although, some might argue Friar Lawrence remains at
fault for Romeo and Juliet s death, Romeo is actually at fault for their deaths since,
Romeo kills Tybalt, which causes him to get exiled and Juliet to drink the potion,
and he makes an impulsive decision to kill himself, which leads to Juliet s death.
For one to be blamed, they have to be at fault. Being held at fault means to hold
accountability for an accident. Somebody has to be blamed for an accident because
otherwise it would not have happened. In Romeo and Juliet there were many
unfortunate events and many characters were held responsible for each single one.
However, Romeo was held responsible for many more incidents compared to the rest.
With his character being dynamic, the changes he was going through impacted him to
make decisions that he

Violence against women is not a problem of today; it is rooted decades before. It is

all the borders and races. Violence against women is a very serious and sensitive
issue as it is one of the most pervasive of human rights violation denying fundamental
rights to almost half of population (females and girls).Domestic violenceis much more
drastic than violence outside because home is a place where individual seeks love,
security, safety and shelter but we can t deny the fact that it is also a place that

Violence is used as a weapon to exert power over others. It s a misconception that
violence against female is generated by males only. In reality it is of both types inter
sex and intra sex. Even mother who bears equal labor pains during birth of her
children discriminates between her son and daughter.
In India where domestic violence persists in want of dowry females also play their
role in victimizing women. Husband is not the only accused in bride burning cases
participation of females like mother in law and sister in law are also included.
Another great cause of domestic violence in India is want of male child. Researches
indicate that 30%of the abuse starts during pregnancy; during which a woman needs
special care and attention; they are deprived of basic amenities like medicines and
healthy diet even during pregnancy. Nearly about two third of females are anaemic
which leads to death of mother or child during child birth. Early marriages, forced
marriages, honor killing , acid throwing, trafficking, rape, sexual abuse, female
foeticide and female infanticide , neglect of women health problems , compelling and
humiliating women, alcoholism of the husband are some of the other forms of
violence against women in India. Forced prostitution due to poverty is also very
common in some Indian states. Husband s infedility is also a major cause of
psychological violence in most of the cases. Wife battering is very common and there

Data Structure queues methods and abstract data types are included in this
elementary slot. ( 2, 3, 4, 5,6, 7)
Robert s defined abstract data type as the algorithms operations that are preformed
rather than implemented the data structure and algorithms operating on it should
refer to anything inside, except through function and procedure calls for the
fundamental operations. The main reason for the development of abstract data types
has been as a mechanism for organizing large programs. Abstract data types provide a
way to limit the size and complexity of the interface between (potentially
complicated) algorithms and associated data structures and a potentially large number
of programs that use the algorithms and data structures, making it easier to
understand large program and more convenient to change or improve the fundamental
algorithms .(2:pg30)
Arrays and linked list are refinements of a basic abstract data type called the linear
list, because each can support operations such as insert, delete and access on a basic
sequentially data ordered structure. These operation suffice to describe the algorithms
and the linear list abstraction can be useful in the initial states of algorithms
development. Using the wrong algorithm like a

31. Neuroenhancing Drugs By Margaret Talbot Summary
In her article, Brain Gain: The Underground World of Neuroenhancing Drugs,
Margaret Talbot discuss the use of different drugs like Adderall, to boost their
productivity. She s writing to people from college up to people who have 9 to 5
office jobs. She uses her essay to not be on one side or the other, but to analyze
both points of view. She never puts in, or implies, that she has had a personal
experience, and her background doesn t give her much credibility to speak on the
matter to people who already have an opinion on it themselves. Talbot uses anecdotes
to...and she uses statistics. But her thesis strays away from what she was indicating
about the drugs. Talbot strongly believes that we are headed in a society where we
re even more over worked and driven by technology than we already are, and where
we have to take drugs to keep up; a society where we give children academic
steroids along with their daily vitamins (pg. 13). She uses her thesis as the only time
where she put her actual opinion, unlike in the rest of the article where she just states
facts and experiences of others without her input. The thesis statement comes towards
the end of the article, so the beginning seems like she s actually for people using the
drugbecause she never really talks bad and puts mostly good experiences in there.
When she gives her opinion, the tone kind of shift from a do it if it works to a more
think of the consequences attitude. The audiencethat is for it and really intrigued in
the article, are taken back a bit because of her blatant out of nowhere statement of
how this is a society [she s] not sure [she] wants to live in (pg. 13). This is almost
the opposite of what she was implying earlier in her essay. Talbot seems to be
speaking to a wide audience: people who use neuroenhancing drugs, people who
don t, and people who may be thinking that they want to try them. Throughout her
essay she seems to be for the use of these types of substances because she only uses
anecdotes that show good experiences, and the bad experiences were solved with a
quick easy adjustment in the dosage and time it was taken, or solved by sleeping it
away, but still getting the work done on time. She uses the stories given to
32. Stereotypes In To Kill A Mockingbird By Harper Lee
Throughout the story of To Kill a Mockingbird many assumptions or stereotypes
were made based on what they saw or heard. First off, Boo Radley, who is a tall
mistreated boy, has rumors about him that make people think he is a freak. Next
is Tom Robinson, a tall black man who was accused of raping a woman named
Mayella. He was found guilty based on the color of his skin and the assumption
that African Americans are bad people. Finally is Scout, a 6 year old girl who is
the daughter of Atticus and sister of Jem. Most people look at her as a little
immature girl, but she isn t. She is an intelligent girl who cares about the goodness
of the people in her community. Which is why you shouldn t assume things based
on what you hear or see. Boo Radley is a reverent hero. He saved Jem And Scout
when they were being attacked by Mr. Ewell. He stepped in and stabbed Mr. Ewell
with a knife. He then carried Jem home to safety where he was looked at by a doctor

Mayella is the daughter to Mr. Ewell who testified against Tom. Even though it was
obvious Tom was not guilty, the jury still found him guilty, because he was black.
First of all, Tom Robinson had no muscle in his left hand because he got it caught
in a cotton gin (Foote 61). Mayella s injuries were on the right side of her face, so
Tom wouldn t have been able to do that damage with a bad left hand. Second,
Mayella s stories were bad and she hesitated as she was asked the question Do you
remember him beating about the face? (Foote 60). With this evidence any white
man would have been not guilty, but people falsely accused him because he was
black. Sadly, after Tom was found guilty he was shot dead trying to run away. Tom
Robinson who was an innocent man, died because of the color of his skin and the

33. Similarities Between Gulf And The Gilgamesh Flood
The Epic of Gilgamesh has been important to Christians as far back as its revelation
in the mid nineteenth century in the vestiges of the library at Nineveh, with its
record of a general flood with critical parallels to the flood in the Book of Genesis.
There have been various flood stories distinguished from antiquated sources scattered
around the world. The stories that were found on cuneiform tablets, which involve a
portion of the most punctual surviving written work, and have clear similitudes. The
cuneiform style of writing was developed by the Sumerians and carried on by the
Akkadians. The Epic of Gilgameshwas contained on twelve extensive tablets, and
since the first discovery, it has been found on others and additionally having been
converted into other early languages. There are numerous similarities between the
Gilgamesh flood account and the scriptural flood account starting above all with
God picking an honest man to assemble an ark as a result of a looming incredible
flood. In the two records, tests from all types of creatures were to be on the ark, and
birds were utilized after the downpours to decide whether flood waters had died
down anyplace to uncover dry land. There are different similitudes between the
Gilgamesh flood account and the scriptural flood account. The similarities
between the flood account in both Genesis and Gilgamesh continued with its location.
Since these societies existed in Mesopotamia, it isn t out of the norm for those two to

The Realistic Objectives of Henry VII s Foreign Policy
According to the source, Henry s objectives were to ensure the security of his
country and dynasty and to avoid foreign military intervention i.e. build up good
relationships with neighbouring foreign powers. I also think that trade and prestige
came into his objectives. Trade was important to him as it ensured the power of his
country and, again, was important to England s relationship with foreign powers.
Also prestige was important for Henry, but more for himself than for the good of the
country.
Why was foreign military intervention a problem for Henry VII between 1485 and

He was seeing a repeat of what had happened four years previously and, even though
he had defeated Lambert Simnel, he could not be so confident that he would manage

and Maximilian Habsburg was what worried Henry the most. Again it was more a
matter of the way other powers had responded to the pretender than Perkin Warbeck
himself which posed a threat to Henry. When Perkin Warbeck invaded England in
1495 he was quickly captured by Henry and sentenced to death. But although Perkin
Warbeck was dead, Henry was still worried by the fact that he had managed to get so
much international support. Could he rely on his neighbouring foreign powers
anymore?
Foreign military intervention itself wasn t so much a problem for Henry: there
were no large scale invasions of England during his reign and for the most part he
managed to avoid war altogether. But Henry was constantly worried about the
threat of an invasion and pretenders like Perkin Warbeck and Lambert Simnel only
served as irritants to make him even more worried and to show him that he didn t
have the full support of important powers like France. One of his main purposes in
life was to secure the throne for his future dynasty. Therefore the avoidance of

36. Analysis of To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell Essay
Analysis of To His Coy Mistress by Andrew Marvell
Andrew Marvell s elaborate sixteenth century carpe diem poem, To His Coy
Mistress , not only speaks to his coy mistress, but also to the reader. Marvell s
suggests to his coy mistress that time is inevitably rapidly progressing and for this
he wishes for her to reciprocate his desires and to initiate a sexual relationship.
Marvell simultaneously suggests to the reader that he or she should act upon their
desires as well, to hesitate no longer and seize the moment before time, and
ultimately life, expires. Marvell makes use of allusion, metaphor, and grand imagery
in order to convey a mood of majestic endurance and innovatively explicate the carpe
diem motif.

His love is so great it would, ?grow vaster than empires? (11 12). Although Marvell
tries to equate his love for his mistress to plants, his argument is undermined by a
plant?s biological incapableness of contemplation and reciprocal physical affection.
Nevertheless, the speaker continues his praises of love, but points out that there is not
enough time for further praise because time is passing quickly.
The poem then acquires a more serious tone when the poem loses its exaggerations
and embellishments. He reassures his coy mistress that ?you deserve this state? of
praise and high acknowledgment,
But at my back I always hear
Time?s wingГЁd chariot hurrying near. (21 22)
Rather than explicitly saying death is near, Marvell substitutes life?s bleakness
with a ?winged chariot.? He slowly becomes more frustrated with her ?long
preserved virginity? and tires to inform his mistress that death is near and they still
have not had intercourse. His frustration can be seen in his sexual pun on the word
?quaint? which symbolically refers to female genitalia. The intense imagery of
genitalia is again echoed when Marvell describes to his coy mistress that even after
death the ?worms shall try that long preserved virginity? (27 28). Here the worms
take on a phallic symbol, reinforcing his sexual desires. The speaker abstractly states
that holding onto her virginity will do her no good because she will be

39. Richard Nixon Inaugural Speech
Every president has a specific vision on how to influence America with their
policies. Being the only president to resign from the presidency makes one wonder
what did Nixon want to accomplish as president. During, every president s first term,
they have to figure out how to navigate the office. The inaugural speech, usually,
gives the American people an idea of what the president plans to do, for America. As
president, Nixon accomplished many things and strived to fulfil the promises in his
inaugural speech.
The greatest honor history can bestow is the title of peacemaker a quote from
Richard Nixon s inaugural address. Peace and unity were the main points of the
speech. Nixon focused on creating international peace, with all nations, as well as
peace within America. Nixon felt that unity was the only way for people to live on
Earth. Not only was peace a huge factor in Nixon s speech, benefits for American
citizens was important to him, as well. Although, Nixon never stated how he planned
to accomplish things, he did clearly state that he wanted to improve healthcare,
education and attain better housing. Overall, this speech was a beacon of hope for
the American people to look forward to.
Nixon was one of the few presidents who have had a second term. Therefore, Nixon
had two inaugural speeches. Nixon s second speech was very similar to the first
speech. Instead, of focusing on how to be at peace, Nixon assured, the country, that
everything was serene and we needed to
40. Sigmund Freud And The Psychosexual Stages Of
Development
Sigmund Freud was a very well known psychologist in the early 20th century. He
began his career in partnership with Joseph Breuer. Together they wrote and
published the book Studies in Hysteria in 1895, after studying patients with
hysteria and developing the idea that most mental disorders were caused by hidden
traumatic experiences in the patients past. Freud began to put emphasis on the
sexual experiences of childhood and he lost the support of Breuer. Freud continued
his work alone and he published three more books. Freud s work was not well
recognized because of his emphasis on sex. In 1908, after the first International
Psychoanalytical Congress, Freud s work began to gain popularity and his
psychoanalytic theory became well respected. He went on to publish more than
twenty theoretical volumes and clinical studies. He continued to develop his ideas
until he died of cancer in 1939. One of Freud s theories was the psychosexual
stages of development. It is important to recognize that Freud changed the meaning
of sexuality to any form of pleasure that can be or is gathered from the body. Freud
based his theory on the thought that all human instincts and drives were based on
the desire to gain or increase bodily pleasure. Freud thought that if a person did not
resolve their conflicts during each stage this would be the cause of any mental
illness or phobia that they would have in their adult life. If one did resolve the
conflict at each stage, then libido, sexual drives or

The word Goth dates back to a group of ancient Germanic people who resisted the
Roman Empire, however the Goth subculture first emerged in Britain in the late
1970s and early 1980s. Punks and Goths have coexisted for decades and continue to
be, distinct social movements built upon different music, films and fashion
characteristics. It is difficult to say which of these post punk and early goth bands
were the most influential in forming and developing the Goth subculture but certainly
among the most influential were Fields Of The Nephilim, The Sisters of Mercy,
Siouxsie and the Banshees, Alien Sex Fiend,Killing Joke, Fields of Bauhaus, The
Cure, Rosetta Stone, UK Decay and The Shroud. All of these bands, although

Each painful moment in life renders one helpless at the beginning. A break up can
hurt you, no matter how much you try to make yourself believe that it doesn t. A
breakup will also make you go through five stages of healing just like losing a
loved one. Some cope faster while others remain paralyzed with the pain. There are
stages of healing that guides to help you reflect on the healing process. They

How would you feel if you were put in a situation where you had to deal with a
friend s cardiovascular attack? Sadly, according to American Heart Association,
70% of Americans would feel helpless in the event of a cardiovascular incident.
This is why all Americans, even young, should learn CPR. The first reason is
because most Americans are unsure of how to perform CPR. Shockingly, only 30
percent of Americans know CPR! Many lives could be saved by learning the
lifesaving technique. A person suffering a cardiovascular attack may look perfectly
healthy from the outside. This is why everyone should know the symptoms. Over the
summer of 2015, I took a six hour babysitting at Notre Dame Academy at the main
topic was CPR. Another reason to know
44. The Faults in The Affordable Care Act Essays
Many of today s arguments within the American government have to do with
health care. The Affordable Care Act, commonly known as Obamacare or The
ACA, has been effective since March 23, 2010. Most of Obamacare s major
provisions, such as mandated individual coverage, just took effect at the beginning
of 2014. Democrats support the health care reform while a majority of republicans
are entirely against it. On paper the health care reform looks good, but there are a
lot of things that could potentially hurt the American population. Our founding
fathers never had a debate over healthcare and frankly I don t think it should be a
topic of discussion today. The way healthcare has worked in the past is still working
today and I see no reason to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Health Care Conscience Rights Act, or HCCRA, would be a huge overhaul to
the Affordable Care Act as a whole. One of the major changes being the freedom to
choose and not be taxed for not wanting to be covered. Unfortunately this bill has
yet to get pass it s committee and the future of it seems quite dim. As of now if you
indeed choose not to enroll in Obamacare and do not pay your fines the fee will be
taken out of your income tax return by the IRS. After all, if nobody enrolls
Obamacare will fail. In order to avoid this they made it mandatory and gave the IRS
the power to take money from Americans in order to finance something that half of
them would rather not be a part of. Not only is this mandate unconstitutional, it will
fail and ultimately hurt our country in the end. Obamacare also states that all
employers with more than 50 full time workers must provide affordable health
insurance or face a fee of up to 2,000 dollars for every full time employee receiving a
tax credit minus 30. What is a tax credit? Say, Bob for example, decides that his
employer doesn t offer coverage that fits his personal needs. Bob can go to an
exchange and find more affordable coverage that actually covers what he needs it
to. The benefit to bob is that he gets coverage and he would also get a tax cut for
finding the appropriate coverage for him, hence the tax credit. The bad thing is that
now the company faces the penalty for not

Title: Oxidation of Benzoin and Rearrangement of Benzil to Produce Benzilic Acid
Abstract The objective of the lab was to produce benzilic acid from benzoin.
Benzoin was successfully oxidized with nitric acid to form benzil. The percent
yield of benzil was 59.26% and the melting point range was 94.1 95.5В°C. The
literature melting point of pure benzil is 95В°C, which indicates the correct product
was obtained. Benzil was then rearranged using potassium hydroxide to form
benzilic acid. The percent yield of benzilic acid was 57.94% and the melting point
range was 147.9 149.8В°C. The literature melting point of pure benzilic acid is
150В°C; this also indicates that the correct product was isolated. Crude products were

Then, 0.100 grams of pure benzil, 0.30 mL of 95% ethanol, and a spin vane was
placed into a 3 mL conical vial with an attached air condenser. The mixture was
heated with an aluminum block at 100В°C, while being stirred, until all the benzil
had dissolved. Using a pipet, 0.25 mL of an aqueous potassium hydroxide solution
was added drop wise into the conical vial through the air condenser. The mixture
was boiled at 110В°C while being stirred for approximately 15 minutes and the
reaction mixture changed from deep blue black to brown in color. The vial was
removed from heat and allowed to cool to room temperature. The mixture was
crystallized in an ice bath and the crystals were collected over a Hirsch funnel
using vacuum filtration and rinsed with ice cold 95% ethanol. The solid crystals
were transferred to a 10 mL Erlenmeyer flask that contained 3 mL of 70В°C water.
The flask was swirled while 0.50 mL of 1 M hydrochloric acid was added to the
flask. With each drop added a white precipitate formed immediately. The solution
was checked to have a pH of 2, if it was not, more acid was added to the flask. The
mixture was cooled to room temperature and then cooled in an ice bath. The crystals
were collected by vacuum filtration using a Hirsch funnel and rinsed with ice cold
water. The pure benzilic acid crystals were weighed and a melting point was
obtained. Results and Calculations mass of crude

In life, we are called to serve others, not judge them for what they have done or will

summarizing what I learned, not only about myself, but about myself as a future
occupational therapist (OT) while completing my Academic Service Learning (ASL)
Project at the Salvation Army in Findlay, OH under the supervision of Major Angie
Carter.
During my time at the Salvation Army, I learned that the Christian based agency is
focused on helping people who are struggling in life, typically people of low
socioeconomic status (SES). The Salvation Army in Findlay provides people, who
come to the main Salvation Army office, either with food boxes and/or vouchers
for prescription drugs at participating drug stores and clothes at the Salvation Army
Thrift Store or with guidance on where the item they are in search of, could
possibly be found in another Findlay community service based agency. One of the
main services that the Salvation Army took pride in was the adopting of families,
affected by poverty, for Christmas. Representatives from these poverty families all
over Hancock County would fill out a Christmas application form in late October, in
hopes that they would get adopted out by local businesses, schools, and donors that
would buy clothing and toys for members of the family. One of the volunteers that
worked at the Salvation Army, named Linda, revealed that by the end of the

50. Considerations and Treatments of Glioblastomas
Malignant gliomas are the most common type of primary malignant brain tumor, and
glioblastoma accounts for 82% of cases of malignant glioma. Glioblastomas arise
from glial precursor cells and are characterized histologically by considerable
cellularity, mitotic activity, vascular proliferation, and necrosis. They are highly
invasive, infiltrating surrounding braintissues, yet they are typically confined to the
central nervous system and do not metastasize.1 From a molecular standpoint,
malignant glioblastomas are heterogeneous tumors, and genome studies have
demonstrated four transcriptional subclasses. These four classes display features of
distinct cell types: classical, mesenchymal, proneural, and neural.1 Patients with
glioblastoma experience a wide variety of complications from both the disease and
drug therapies. Current standard therapies for glioblastoma are maximal safe surgical
resection followed by temozolomide and radiotherapy. With these therapies the
median patient survival is less than 2 years due to common tumor recurrence.2
However, new therapies such as targeted vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitors,
carmustine wafers, and gene therapies are promising in prolonging survival and
delaying progression of the disease.
Patients with glioblastoma experience clinical complications of the malignancy
including thromboembolic events, seizures, fluctuations in neurologic symptoms,
and visual field defects, in addition to adverse effects from

are more aware of what will happen, you can decide based off of the outcomes. If
the results or outcomes are bad, then you have to make that choice to do it or not.

52. Door Openers
What is the Difference Between Belt, Screw and Chain Drive Garage Door
Openers Are you considering automating your garage door in Dallas? There are
three standard types of garage door openers to consider. These are: 1. Chain drive
garage door openers As the name suggests, these openers employ the use of a chain
in the opening mechanism of the door. The chain attaches to the metal trolley in a
similar way as a chain on a bicycle. Later models of the chain driven doors get their
power from DC motors. 2. Belt driven openers These models are similar in
operation to the chain driven models. However, a reinforced belt replaces the chain.
This belt pulls and pushes the trolley. Belts used in these doors are made of various
strong materials including... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The belt used in this version eliminates any metal on metal contact. This reduces the
amount of sound or vibration associated with the operation of the door. Belt driven
openers however, cost much more than other types of openers. They therefore
require a large investment up front for their purchase and installation. 2. Chain
driven openers These are the most economical choice for garage door openers. They
are also one of the most dependable models available. The main disadvantage of
using chain driven openers is that they produce a lot of noise during the operation of
the door especially if the garage is attached to the rest of the house. Later versions that
use DC motors incorporate soft start and stop technology. This has made them much
quieter than the older versions. 3. Screw driven openers These openers require the
least amount of maintenance as they have few moving parts. They also provide fairly
quiet operation as they feature tracks lined with plastic to reduce the noise. They are,
however, not suitable for areas that experience large variations in temperature
between summer and winter. They tend to run into a lot of trouble when installed in
these regions. However, manufacturers continue to make improvements on these

have similar values, they are patient, discipline and passionate. Siddhartha is the
person I lovethe most in all the readings. He was brave since he could give up his
wealthy life, following the ascetic to the trip of enlightenment. He was discipline
because he did not fell in the temptation when he was rich, and having a happy life
with his lover. I think the most important value for Siddhartha is independent. He is

This paper examines about Emile Durkheim s theory of anomie and its relationship
to the field of criminology. Durkheim proposed a theory in order to test different
types of norms in societies that cause crime. He explains that social norms are an
agreement of some people who live in that geographical location. Conservative
societies incline to have less population and be more oppressive. If certain behavior
goes against social norms, then severe punishment can ensure to reject the behavior.
In opposite case more advanced societies allow more facilities for different behavior
and accepts changes. Behavior against the norm is tolerated in advance societies.

This paper examines Emile Durkheim s theory gave a different approach to the
criminological research. He interested in social organization and rules. He was
curious that how social structure develops within societies (Bernard et al., 2010,
p. 115). At that time, the psychological thoughts were motivated by Durkheim own
ideas (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 116). During the French revolution, there was a quick
change in the society. Old ideas were replaced by new ideas (Bernard et al., 2010,
p. 116). Durkheim concluded that social development impacts society s rules and
values. He considered the lack of social norms cause anomie. The anomie causes
social violence (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 117). He categorized his concept in two
different ways of anomie one is mechanical (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 117) and
organic society (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 117). A mechanical society normally has
less population then organic society. A mechanical society is more isolated and
conservative where diversity in thoughts is not welcomed. In contrast, organic
society is more advanced and contains diversity. The organic society always
welcomes new thoughts and changes. (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 117). Rules and
regulations in mechanical society are more punitive whereas in organic society laws
are concentrated on restitution (Bernard et al., 2010, p. 117). He also discussed an

Baseball isn t as simple as Black and White
Baseball, America s pastime , the most simple sport of the big 4, a sport where
failing 7 times out of 10 will still land you among the greats of all time. Baseball
has been played by all ages since the Mid 18th Century. It is a sport where 9 men
have at least 27 chances to score more runs than the other 9 men. So simple, but yet
so captivating. This simplicity, one would assume, would lead to an almost utopian
atmosphere. But, for Troy Maxon, an ex baseball player, the game of Baseball is
anything but a utopia. You see, before Jackie Robinson debuted for the Brooklyn
Dodgers in 1947, there were no African American baseball players. So, African

Troy s use of this comparison in order to demonstrate the injustice that baseball
imparts on the African American ballplayers is incorrect and factually baseless. In
regards to the symbol of the shoes that Troy talks about, it is true that the players
in the MLB were being paid more money than were those players in the Negro
Leagues. In 1940, George Selkirk made ~$12,000, much more than did Josh
Gibson. Because of this, Selkirk s daughter was able to walk around with good
quality shoes on her feet, whereas Josh Gibson s daughter didn t have that luxury
because her father wasn t making as much money. However, instead of looking at
the facts objectively, Troy becomes very entangled in his own ego and warped
view of social justice. When Cory mentions that Hank Aaron s recent success,
including his 43 home run total in one season, Troy becomes very egotistical
saying, Hank Aaron ain t nobody. That s what you supposed to do. That s what you
supposed to do. That s how you supposed to play the game. Ain t nothin to it. It s just
a matter of timing... getting the right follow through. Hell, I can hit forty three home
runs right now! (Wilson 34). Troy, in his current state, could not by any means
muster up 43 home runs off of major league pitching like Hank Aaron could, but
because of his immense bias and egotistical nature, Troy believes he

Homelessness in the Ozarks and its Effect on Mental Illness in Older Adults

Homelessness In the Ozarks: Then to NowThe issue my team chose to research and
tackle was homelessness in the Ozarks. Specifically, we wanted to look at the
demographics of the issue and then ultimately we wanted to look into the effects the
issue of homelessness is having on another serious issue, mental illness, and vice
versa. The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines homelessness as one having no
home or permanent place of residence. It defines mental illness as any of a broad
range of medical conditions that are marked primarily by sufficient disorganization
of personality, mind, or emotions to impair normal psychological functioning and
cause marked distress or disability and that are typically associated with a disruption
in normal thinking, feeling, mood, behavior, interpersonal interactions, or daily
functioning. Some of the examples of mental illnesses given by Merriam Webster
are major depression, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder, or panic
disorder. The main aspects of the issue that will be covered are the current status of
the issue, the causes, current organizations involved in finding solutions, and what
more needs to be done. Looking at the status of homelessness from the past to the
present, we can see that there has been a drastic increase in the percentage of
homeless. In a 2013 Statewide Homelessness Study
