Having strong social communication skills as a Human Resources Manager,
Supervisor, Generalist or similar role is necessary when interacting with diverse work
populations. It is also salient for these employees during times when personal,
emotional, topics are being addressed. It has been my experience that having
successful communicationskills is a quality that is developed amongst leaders and
not necessarily an inherent trait. My goal is to help a team of Human Resourceslow to

deeper rapport with their subordinates.

My intention is to conduct a trail workshop with Human Resources Leaders at my
current internship and other leaders outside of the organization if possible. The
members who are a part of my organization consist of four Human Resources leaders.
I am currently an intern for the Brooklyn Nets basket ball team. This organization
operates in the entertainment/media industry. Currently the Nets have approximately
250 full time and part time employees. At the moment, this HR management team
consists of: one HR Generalist, one HR Senior Manager, One HR Vice President,
and one HR Chief Executive Officer listed in ascending order. Each of these roles
involve interacting with both salaried and hourly employees on a regular basis. As a
team, these HR leaders hold the main responsibilities of: increasing employee
engagement, reducing turnover, on boarding new hires, and increasing employee
satisfaction most importantly of all the other many tasks in within their department.

For the people who know me know that I that I am a diehard baseball fan,
basketball fan, and football fan. However, one of my favorite sports to watch is
boxing. I started to enjoy the sport of boxing after I saw the first Rocky movie. The
Rocky movie was my first introduction to the sport of boxing. Even though Rocky is
the fictional character he is one of the most iconic boxingfigures in the sport. Sure,
there are boxing legends like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, and
Oscar de la Hoya. But for some reason, Rocky Balboa is the reason that I am a fan

44. Why I Chose Public Sector
Many will say at an early age they knew exactly what type of career they wanted to
pursue. For others such as me; future thoughts, dreams, and decisions were often
pushed to the side due to a complex life that surrounded me inside and outside the
home. However, those negative feelings did not outweigh the inspiration in wanting
to dedicate my life to the public sector. I was raised in a low income neighborhood

Another difference between the two countries is their court system. France does not
practice judicial review. In the United States, the Supreme Court has the principle
responsibility of ruling on the constitutionality of all laws. This kind of judicial
review is not practiced in France (Terrill 232). In France they have the Constitutional
council which has nine members serving a nine year term, they are responsible for
election complaints and the legislation made in parliament. The advantage of this is
that it reduces the conflict of jurisdictions. But the disadvantage is that our Supreme

early age which could be a disadvantage because of lack of experience in the system,

Abstract Query and Image based recommendation sorted by the method of re
ranking provides an accurate output of images based on the visual semantic
signatures of the query image .In query based recommendation, keyword expansions
help provide better results whereas in image recommendation, re ranking based on
priority of images accessed by other users provides more accurate results. This paper
presents an Androidapplication with basic features comprising of an image
recommender system which provides a text as well as image based output on the
type of query provided by the user. The input can also be text based or image based.
The results obtained are re ranked and prioritized according to user intention and
also differ with respect to different users. The information of users search interests
are stored offline and a profile based system is maintained for each and every user so
that accurate results are obtained for different users working on the same device.

power. For real time requirements of multimedia applications faster computations
need to be performed. To fulfill such requirements of video compression a parallel
computational algorithm can be implemented. In this thesis, the parallelism of multi
core architecture was exploited using block matching algorithm. The test
implementation of the algorithm was done on MATLAB. The parallel model was
designed using OpenMP and its implementation was tested on multi core
architectures. The parallel implementation divides a current frame into independent
macro blocks and each block is allotted to OpenMP section which then assigns it to a
thread for performing the computations. The result of the implementation shows
speedier computations with effective utilization of multi cores. This work suggests a
promising approach which can further be developed and exploited. Keywords motion

I realised that mine might not be as exciting or eventful as theirs but I considered that
my placement might be a more useful experience for later life.
My mother is friendly with quite a lot of people who work at BUPA. She spoke to
quite a close friend of hers who answers to my supervisor and was told that she is a
great lady and I would have a lot of fun with her. My mother was also told that there
could be a chance of a part time job after school and on Saturdays. This inspired me
to work really hard for them in order try to impress everyone.
I had not done any research into the company apart from a brief look at their web
site but I felt that I knew sufficient information for a preliminary interview. I hoped
to learn some very important life skills and gain some great experience, which would
be of use to me in later life. I was hoping to gain work on computer skills, as I feel I
am competent in this area and could impress if I were to be given the chance. As I
did not know a great deal about marketing I was keen to gain as much knowledge as
possible and hospital marketing is a field of its own.
On the whole I looked forward to the week it would be a good experience that should
