Rite Aid Benefits
In middle school, everyone should have a future career in mind. I would love to be a pharmacist
sometime in the future. Allowing me to visit Rite Aid would benefit both parts. If I am given the
opportunity to visit Rite Aid, it would give me experience. Obviously I won t catch on right away, but
visiting could really help me to get a better understanding of the job. It would expose me to what I am
going to have to deal with, so I won t be caught so off guard on my first day. It would be good
experience to let me visit Rite Aid. Visiting Rite Aid will improve the company s reputation in the
community. People will see that they are helping out the youth and respect them for it. Also, if other
kids see this happening, they will want to visit

Copper Periodic Table
The element I have chosen for our Atomic Structures And The Periodic Table Project is the element
copper. Copper is one of the first metals ever to be handled by human hands and till this day is still
one of the most important metals in the industry. Copper gets its name from the Latin word Cuprum
this words meaning is from the island of Cyprus. Cyprus is an island where the Romans mined for
copper in the ancient times. Copper is an transition metal with the atomic number twenty nine. Copper
has an atomic weight of sixty three point five hundred and forty six. Copper has a density of eight
point ninety six grams per centimeters cubed. Copper s phase at room temperature is at a solid state
the melting point for this element is one thousand eighty five degrees celsius this elements melting
point at fahrenheit is one thousand nine hundred eighty four degrees. Coppers boiling point is two

Gothic Cinema And The Movie The Conjuring
In life, some people prefer to watch movies, and some people prefer to read books. Then there are
some who love both movies and books. However, when one genre is portrayed in cinema and in
literature, it is easy to compare the two. Are they complementary or are they in opposition to each
other? In terms of gothic cinema and literature, they are both complementary to one another. In the
two movies, The Conjuring and The Skeleton Key, gothic cinema proves to go hand in hand with the
style of textual gothic and they both show to have a strong aesthetic force. In the pieces of gothic
literature, The Falls, The Book of Blood, and Amityville Horror, they are all very strong gothic pieces
which all have a strong aesthetic force. In the movie, The Conjuring, gothic cinema proves to go hand
in hand with the style of textual gothic and it has a strong aesthetic force. In this movie, it portrays
many aspects of traditional gothic literature. For example, the element of the supernatural is the main
part of this movie. By making the center of this movie about supernatural occurrences, it goes hand in
hand with textual gothic. In textual gothic, there is almost always some type of supernatural element,
even if it is as small as in The Castle of Otranto. However, instead of having a small supernatural
element, The Conjuring provides the audience with extremely terrifying and real supernatural
components. For example, one terrifying moment in this movie is when the daughter, Nancy,

Analysis of Cancer
Cancer The Enemy Within
Abstract: Cancer has been known and feared since antiquity, but its imperative danger could only be
realized until fairly recently. Indeed as knowledge of the disease grew in the nineteenth and twentieth
centuries, fear increased when people became more aware that most cancers had no available cure.
Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells reproduce without control, destroy healthy tissue, and
eventually cause deterioration to the body. This paper is a discussion on how cancer develops and
spreads, some of the various types of cancer, and the causes of the disease.

Sarcomas are cancers that begin in connective tissue. These tissues form the body s supporting
structures, such as bone and cartilage. The great majority of cancer cases are carcinomas. They include
most cancers of the skin and the breast as well as of digestive, reproductive, respiratory, and urinary
systems. Sarcomas also occur in all of these organs and systems but are far less common.
Scientists do not know exactly why cancer develops, but they have found that certain agents play an
active role in causing the disease. Most experts agree that people develop cancer mainly through
repeated or prolonged contact with one or more cancer causing agents, called carcinogens.
Carcinogens attack normal cells and may eventually cause one of them to become cancerous. Some
carcinogens are introduced into the body through the nose, mouth, or some other opening. Other
carcinogens attack the body through the skin. Many cancers are caused by a combination of 2 or more
carcinogens rather than by a single one.
Laboratory tests and population studies indicate that two main groups of carcinogens can cause cancer
in human beings. This groups consist of various chemicals, and certain forms of radiation. Some
examples of chemical carcinogens include the tars in tobacco smoke, certain industrial chemicals,
certain unnatural food chemicals and also various chemicals used in drugs. Radiation, on the other
hand, produces cancer in people who are exposed

Summary Of The Philadelphia Experiment
Some believe the Philadelphia Experiment during World War II was a very technical experiment that
took place in the Philadelphia Navy yard in 1943. This experiment is also called, Project Rainbow ,
and is said to consist of the U.S. Navy destroyer called the USS Eldridge being made invisible, then
teleported to Norfolk Docks four hundred miles away, then teleported back. This theory also supports
the idea that when the ship got back to Philadelphia, there were fatal consequences for the crew on
deck. This was an attempt to counteract German U boats as they had a major advantage over U.S.
warships. The warships are slow and have a large turning radius. A man by the name of Morris
Ketchum Jessup received notes from Carlos Allende (Carl M. Allen) in a copy of Jessup s book, The
Case for the UFO. These notes outlined what Allende thought of Jessup s ideas in the book. Allende
actual disproved one idea, but this sparked Jessup s attention. Jessup moved on to researching Einstein
s unified field theory, and he published this research. Allende soon responded in a series letters to
Jessup, describing the Philadelphia Experiment in detail. This lead Jessup to research further into this
possibility, obtaining more and more information. Jessup was very close to a breakthrough. While
Jessup and Allende s agreement has some backing, it is a far out view which is hard to believe as there
is evidence to rebuttal the points made. The other side of the story is backed by the

An Analysis Of Rick Moody s Boys
Each story makes use of a very unique tone and form of narration yet these same qualities can be
compared to some extent across these essays. The authors utilize different forms of writing to convey
their intended focus to the audience. I found each story relative to one another in that they all seemed
to touch of the subject of the roles of different genders in our contemporary society maybe even across
different cultures.
Rick Moody s short story Boys is written with a distinct style. The author uses a form of a stream of
consciousness to convey the purpose at hand, which encompasses writing as if without hesitation or
editing whatever came to Moody s thoughts, he transferred to text. There was also a substantial use of
the word boys , placing emphasis on the central meaning of the story. The style is thoroughly
descriptive and fails to leave any details of the boys lives out. This quality donates a sense of reality
and creates a bond between the reader and the characters. The tone of the story comes of as
particularly unbiased and serious, as if the author were just stating purely factual information. As
events become more somber in the boys lives, the author approaches a more sympathetic tone. The
boys were supposed to be kids, fooling around playing games and living a care free childhood, but
these boys found themselves in scenarios no boy or child should ever encompass.
In the story Boys by Rick Moody from the book Literature To Go, The narrator writes

How Does George Wilson Change
Quite obviously the character who changed the most was George Wilson. ( Myrtle s Husband.) He
manages to out due everyone in terms of how their personality changed. And in the end his change
brought the demise of a beloved character. From how his personality seemed to be at the start of the
book to how it was at the end. Or the tragic event that he caused by his insanity through grief. Also
that the death of his wife seemed to of scarred him.George Wilson s personality definitely changed the
most from the beginning. You know this is the case just due to his encounters before and after. Before
at the party at Myrtle s apartment, he seemed to be a well mannered, feminine looking man . In
chapter 2, at the party he is described as a feminine man. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

But this changes a fair amount by the end of this story. After the death of his wife he seemed to be
instantly distraught and deranged, the first time we hear from him after the fact, he just sounds like an
absolute lunatic. Going on about dog collars and just random things until he deduces who killed his
wife . In a later chapter he is talking to his friend, while his friend just tries to calm him down, George
was already too far gone and made his mind up to take action against his wife s killer. It is quite
obvious to see that he was driven to this by grief. This is the worst Daisy does ( or anyone for that
matter) due to the fact that she directly killed somebody and indirectly cause a murder and suicide.
Also, at the beginning of the book, (in chapter 2) George Wilson does not seem to strike anyone as a
murderer or some deranged man. This is how he was described in chapter 9. In chapter two at the
party, George seemed to be more interested in Tom s business coming his way then the night himself
and was not obnoxious, or evil. He

Having an uncertain standing in society, many South Asian widows were left without security after
their husbands died. The concept of sati was practiced to show a widow s self sacrifice and everlasting
devotion to her husband. When the colonial British entered India, there were multiple debates about
the official definition of sati and what conditions shaped it. Eventually, this debate transformed into
whether the practice of sati should still be followed or abolished altogether. In Source 1 ( The Petition

Grignard Lab
A Grignard Like Organic Reaction
The Synthesis of 1 phenyl 3 buten 1 ol
Introduction
The Grignard reaction is an important synthetic process by which a new carbon to carbon bond is
formed. Magnesium metal is first reacted with an organic halide forming the Grignard reagent. The
Grignard reaction is the addition of an organomagnesium halide (Grignard reagent) to a ketone or
aldehyde, to form a tertiary or secondary alcohol, respectively. For example, the reaction with
formaldehyde leads to a primary alcohol. Grignard Reagents are also used in the following important
reactions: The addition of an excess of a Grignard reagent to an ester or lactone gives a tertiary alcohol

Importance Of Cultural Awareness In Pakistan
Cultural Awareness in Pakistan Pakistan is an incredibly important nation when it relates to the United
States and foreign policy. With just shy of two hundred million people, it is the sixth most populous
nation on Earth and also has significant influence on southern Asian and middle eastern politics
(Worldometers). In the coming paragraphs, many important factors of Pakistan such as geography,
language, religion, and political make up will be analyzed and discussed in how it relates to the United
States and the military. To begin, we will examine the geography of the nation of Pakistan. Pakistan
has a rather complicated geography and many different climates. Dominating the northern borders of
the nation are the Himalayas, the world s highest mountain range. The very northern edge of the
nation is comprised of the contested region of Kashmir, which is not formally recognized as a territory
of Pakistan but is under their influence (ThoughtCo). Pakistan s western reaches, which border the
nations of Iran and Afghanistan is a sparsely populated region of hot desert and sporadic foothills and
mountain ranges. Temperatures in this region can reach in excess of one hundred and twenty degrees
fahrenheit, making it one of the hottest areas in southern Asia (AccuWeather). The bulk of the
population of the nation of Pakistan resides in the northern region of the Indus River Valley and to the
south in the Indus River Delta. Here is one of the few regions in Pakistan where

The Meltdown Of Nuclear Families In The 1900s
A nuclear family is a family composed of a married father and mother and their children. This type of
family became increasingly popular following the industrial age in the 1900s. The nuclear family soon
became the norm as people transferred from large kin groups to smaller independent families
(Pulsipher, 2015). This posed a problem in the beginning because close relatives no longer played a
role in raising children and no longer had anyone to look after them in old age as they did when kin
groups were common. However, as time went on, nuclear families faced challenges and soon began to
fallout as a result of changes in couples. The meltdown of nuclear families are largely impart by
couples not getting married or by couples getting divorced. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In order for a family to be considered nuclear, the parents must be married and have children
However, the number of unmarried couples in the United States nearly doubled in the 1900s as it grew
more common for people to not further their relationships. This caused the number of homes
consisting of nuclear families to reach their lowest level falling from 45% of all households in 1960 to
just 25.6% last year (Feder, 2001). Not only did it grow common for couples to not get married,
divorce grew common. This influenced the number of children who, instead of being a part of a
nuclear family, were a part of a single parent family. In fact, due to divorce, 43% of American children
spent at least part of their childhood in a single parent family in 1996 (Feder, 2001). Don Feder, author
on human events, explains that these shifts in attitude towards marriage and nuclear families has been
caused by changes in cultural influences such as media. In the early 1900s, marriage and family were
regarded as an integral part of existence, but as time went on the importance of nuclear families

Milky Way Galaxy Informative Speech
In a time, long ago when the universe was empty, Lazaris and Vota, the gods and goddesses of the
Milky Way Galaxy, had a child named Jupiter. As Jupiter got older, Vota and Lazaris had seven more
children, you are probably thinking the same thing, wow, many children that is. Their names were
Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. They all grew up together as best friends,
but when it came to being entertained, the brothers and sisters were not the best at it.
You would think that oh, they are brothers and sisters, they should always be entertaining each other.

Assimilation Richard Rodriguez Summary
Richard Rodriguez is a famous Mexican American writer, famous for his articles on immigrant culture
and assimilation. Assimilation, according to Rodriguez, is the integration of one s culture with another.
Rodriguez is not in favor of or against assimilation but acknowledges that it is occurring in America.
Rodriguez first discusses the Canadian model of assimilation, where individuals in a mixed race
culture prefer to remain ethnically and culturally separate. Rodriguez proposes that America adopts a
Mexican model of assimilation, where one is classified by the culture that one adopts rather than by
one s skin color. Americans have a conflicted and confused view of assimilation, preferring to keep a
distinguished sense of self, while actually assimilating culturally with many different ethnic groups.
Americans have often resisted assimilation, especially if it meant race mixing or cultural blending.
They feared how immigrants would change the culture and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Furthermore, the Chicago Tribune implies that it is unfair for illegal immigrants to obtain the same

Analysis Of The Nothing That Is A Natural History Of Zero...
The Nothing that is about Everything The Nothing That Is A Natural History of Zero by Robert
Kaplan is a book literally a book about the number zero and how it was formed. He takes the reader on
a journey through time and shows the transformation of not just zero but numbers in general from
multiple countries and empires. Kaplan starts off his book by describing zero and what its possibilities
are in the world. Then he jumps into the Sumerians who were one of the first to create a number
system comprised of stick that had a triangle on the top. Slowly their number system evolved but
never had a zero. They started making place holders for the larger numbers and assigning different
sizes to the shapes in order to show a larger amount. He then moves on to the Greeks who he credits
the discovery of zero. It is believed that the O came from the Greek word omicron which is the first
letter of ouden or nothing. Zero was not originally used to show the absences of something but as a
place holder or a space between other numbers. It was then used by Greek astronomers as anything
from minutes and seconds to degrees but still not as zero today. It wasn t until 730 AD that the Greeks
used an informal way to show zero. They would count using their fingers and zero was a relaxed hand.

Negative Effects Of Napoleon Bonaparte
The Napoleonic Age was the most controversial time period. Some people thought Napoleon was a
reformer, while others thought he was an absolute dictator. One thing is for sure though, that he
shaped France/Europe into the continent/country is is today. Napoleon was very narcissistic and cruel,
and did not value human life. At the same time, he believed in education and instruction. Also, he
positively influenced the schools and created the Napoleonic Code, which solved a lot of France s
problems. Napoleon Bonaparte had a negative impact on France, because he mistreated the rights that
every human should obtain, created a bad image for other countries, and only really cared about
absolute power.
Napoleon was born in Corsica, Italy and was entered directly into the Military, at age ten. Napoleon s
leadership, and role as emperor, was heavily based around the fact that all of his childhood was being
trained in the military! Some people view this in a negative light (seeing other people just as a target,
and appreciating human life.) Some people on the other hand, view this in a positive light (Being a
good instructor, and knowing how to make the right moves with politics.) During the French
revolution the citizens of France tried to create a republic, and when they failed continuously,
Napoleon Bonaparte stepped up and became a strong leader in France. In 1799, the government
started to grow more and more corrupt, and that s when Napoleon came into play. Napoleon was an

CIPD (2) defines Succession Planning as a process for identifying and developing potential future
leaders or senior managers, as well as individuals to fill other business critical positions, either in the
short or the long term .
Formal succession planning should be a systematic approach in preparing lower level employees to
handle the responsibilities of the senior management in the forthcoming years. It helps to identify the
capable employees who have the potential to fulfil these critical roles in the hierarchy.
This can be done informally, through discussions with management over a period of time or
alternatively, by more formal techniques, such as an assessment of competencies or regular
performance reviews.
Organisations need to consider succession planning alongside workforce planning, to ensure that their
longer term objectives can be delivered in the future by the right people with the right skills.
Succession planning can be applied to individual roles and to pools of positions, for which similar
skills are required.
In the case of individual and more senior roles, organisations will identify key roles and successors for
these roles, focussing on providing the necessary experience, talent and development to ensure that
they will succeed when reaching the senior management level in the future.
This can also be applied to pools of roles. By developing the generic skills required within groups, it

1. Why was the Australian Pork industry able to become a major provider of pork to Singapore in spite
of having been banned?
(An alternative to this question is: give the wise marketing decisions that were made to enable
Australian Pork to become a major supplier to Singapore)
In 1997 the Singapore authorities banned imported Australian chilled pork, as it did not meet
Singapore s health requirements.
However, a collaboration between Singapore government (Agrifood and Veterinary Authority, or AVA)

Analysis Of Nietzsche s On Truth And Lies In A Nonmoral Sense
In On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense , Nietzsche seeks to explain why and how humankind has
developed our own senses of truth and in the same vein, lies. He says that the process involves taking
a stimuli and creating an image metaphor for it, and then a sound metaphor to it, which results in the
creation of language. Then, the human brain categorizes the stimuli into certain categories and into
different concepts that represent the total of unequal individualized objects and then rejects everything
that the category is not as a lie. Nietzsche argues that the processes aforementioned are impervious by
nature and completely illogical. The result is that we have created our own ideas that we call truth and
we shun the lies despite the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nietzsche calls the human race artistically creating subjects because we are able to take a stimulus
whether it be an image, smell, or sound and make a metaphorical image in our minds of what the
object is by assigning characteristics to it. Then, humans assign a metaphorical sound to represent the
stimulus, which eventually becomes the basis of language. Therefore, we have created this metaphor
to the perception of a stimulus that could change from person to person; it is completely subjective.
No child is born with this knowledge of their environment, but taught by parents or guardians. For
example, color is very subjective because if a child is raised to think that the color red is actually
called blue , he would only know it as blue. This metaphorical process, along with the need to be
social, eventually produced languages between humans and gave us a sense of truthfulness and lies,
which only entails that fact that humans are purposely using the definition of something the wrong
way in order to harm. In addition, Nietzsche also points out the cases of differing foreign languages
because nothing corresponds directly to the actual nature of a stimulus. Nietzsche argues that it is
illogical because humans made the idea of language, truth, and lie and therefore, it doesn t exist in
nature. The fact that we accept anyone that accurately describes something and shun someone that
tells a lie is completely subjective and frankly wrong, according to

The Chosen Ones By Pablo Neruda Analysis
Resuscitation Pablo Neruda s poem The Chosen Ones is a perfect incorporation of torment and
influence, acting to sadden as well as impact the reader to influence further action against intolerance.
Neruda uses allusion when referencing the years of events of significant suffering that are important in
Cuban and world history, recalling his own first hand experiences himself, and the significance of
understanding these dates and events. Neruda uses a tone that is volatile, characterized by an increase
in imagery, especially of death and violence, as the piece goes on. Neruda uses a couplet at the end to
shift the poem from lengthy description of violence and death, to a sardonic reference of those who
were killed, operating as a call to action. This poem uses allusion, tone, and personification to
exemplify violence as a result of prejudice and their legacy forgotten. Neruda s use of historical
allusion is significant as several dates mentioned are specific examples of genocide, especially as a
result of hatred towards complex institutions of race, nationality, and religion. In this piece Neruda
references several dates: 1925, 1926, 1933, 1940, 1918, 1905, and thousands of nineteen hundreds
(Neruda,1). Each date representative of a significantly negative event in world history; However
several dates also coincide with important years in Cuban history. For example, in the year 1925,
Gerardo Machado was elected Cuba s president, he would resist the rise of a healthy labor movement,
which he would enforce using deportation and police brutality. Cuba s economic downfall would lead
to uprisings in the future, all ultimately having Cuban legislature and law enforcement being taken
advantage of, while at the same time several mass killings world arise before crimes against humanity
would be identified and prosecuted at the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg. Neruda s first
hand experiences with oppression and fascism growing up in Cuba allowed many to learn from the
Chilean because he offered a way of identifying with the masses and engaging the problems of society
(Pettingell, 3). Neruda s use of allusion allows the hatred from these mass killings to be tied in with
the selfishness and extortion of

traumatic statistic of the inmates of America. This in turn, causes the audience to take into account the
total disregard of inmates. David and Lovisa continue to the next paragraph of their article by
presenting additional overall facts of the inmates. They appeal to the logic of the audience by stating,

Generosity And Values Of The Epic Of Beowulf
The Anglo Saxons were a people who lived in England during the fifth century. They strongly
believed in fate and valued traits such as courage, generosity, faithfulness and, most importantly,
strength. This is shown through the many epic poems that were composed and performed by the Anglo
Saxons during this time period. One of the most well known epics Beowulf, celebrates the deeds of
the legendary and heroic Geat warrior named Beowulf. In Beowulf, physical strength is the defining
factor of a warrior s worth.
One instance of the connection between physical strength and worth illustrated in Beowulf occurs
when Beowulf battles Grendel. When news spreads of a horrific monster terrorizing Denmark,
Beowulf is quick to step up to the challenge ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This concept is reiterated when King Hrothgar tells Beowulf, [His] fame is everywhere... / Reaches to
the end of the earth, and [he] hold[s] it in [his] heart wisely, / Patient with [his] strength upon
discovering Beowulf had actually won the battle (1703 1706). When Hrothgar discovers he and the
Danes had actually misinterpreted the situation and Beowulf was still a warrior of great strength, he
immediately returns to deeming Beowulf as worthy of praise and support, illustrating the clear
connection between a warrior s success and value. The drastic change in the way Hrothgar treats
Beowulf before and after he learns of the true outcome of the battle quite obviously shows how
strength is directly linked to how a warrior is viewed and treated in Anglo Saxon society.
The final relevant case of strength being used as the defining characteristic of a worthy warrior arises
when a dragon attacks Geatland. As the king of Greatland at the time, Beowulf accepts the challenge
and tells his people I ve never known fear... / I will fight again, seek fame still, / If the dragon hiding
in his tower dares / To face me. Then he said farewell to his followers each in turn (2511, 2513 2517).
The way the people of Geatland remain by his side while he claims to have the ability to defeat the
dragon illustrates how the Geats believe Beowulf is worthy of their support merely based on his
physical strength. However, as soon as Beowulf s confident claims of

One of the very important techniques that I learned on this book was the power of word of mouth.
Basically when a group young adults went for a trip, they makes sure that everyone will have an
awesome trip and when they came back they will tell their friends and relatives about their experience.
They will spread the word on how amazing the experience they had on the trip. They will talk about
what attractions they ve seen or where they went in Europe or what activities they did. At this point,
when other people heard about their great feedback for the trip, it will give a huge interest to other
people. For me personally, if my friend went to that trip and told me that she had a really great time on
the trip, I would definitely book on that trip too if I want to travel. It will give me an interest and it
shows that I can trust the company because they had a really great customer feedback. Another thing
is to treat the passenger s complaints seriously no matter how big or small it is because you ll never
know what could happen and it could possibly affect the whole company. Make sure you identify and
diffuse any issue before it becomes a major. Because if you didn t solve the problem, it doesn t only
affect the company but also the customer s loyalty and trust which is very important for a business.
When you make sure that you satisfied their needs even though you made a mistake, you can solve it

Despite Hamilton s opposing beliefs, his attempts to persuade everyone were highly successful, due to
the fact that his actions lead to the selection of his bitter, political enemy, Thomas Jefferson, as our
nation s third chief executive, despite the differences they had. Hamilton was able to persuade the
House of Representatives to vote for Jefferson over Burr by writing, From Alexander Hamilton to
Harrison Gray Otis. In this letter, Hamilton elaborates on how choosing Jefferson is the best option
because he is the less evil between the two of them. However; the outcome of the election affected not
only Hamilton s political career, but his personal life in numerous ways, as well. As far as his political
career goes, he lost an immense amount of support from the Federalists. This was due to his pamphlet,
Letter from Alexander Hamilton, Concerning the Public Conduct and Character of John Adams, Esq.,
which elaborated on why people should not vote for Adams as president. This was widely circulated
by Aaron Burr s, after he lost the presidency run. This was ultimately the most lethal aspect to
Hamilton s political career. Secondly, the Federalists wanted Burr to win the presidency, due to the
fact they thought Jefferson would ruin everything that had been accomplished within the past twelve
years, but Hamilton opposed this. Additionally, Burr attempted to run as governor in New York, and
the New York Federalists were going to vote him in. However; Hamilton advised everyone not to vote
for him, thus; causing Burr to lose, again. Despite Hamilton not being the only one to go against Burr,
Burr challenged Hamilton to a duel, which, ultimately lead to his death, which ended his personal life.

Lord of the Flies a Microcosm to Our Society
William Golding s novel Lord of the Flies significantly symbolizes characters, objects and the setting
to represent our world as a whole. Golding uses those symbols to make the island similar to society

In the article Snow Day, by Tabitha Walker, she explains the ways of how the snowflake s process can

because they need moisture to generate. When the temperature is freezing, the more heavy snow will
fall. If you want bigger snowflakes then you need more moisture in the air, if you want smaller
snowflakes you need less moisture and more freezing temperature. Another important factor needed
for snowflakes is ground temperature. Ground temperature is needed to be able to determine whether
the snowflakes will stick to the ground. Ground temperature is often more warmer because the ground
absorbs more heat from Sun than the air. This is how the process of the magical causes gets

Summary Of The Lamb And The Tyger By William Blake
William Blake was a poet who was born in November 1757 and passed away August 1827. William
was a very religious Christian who was born in London to James and Catherine Blake. At the young
age of four, William was convinced that he was seeing visions of God along with other religious
beings such as angels. According to a small biography on poets.org, these visions included God
putting his head to William s window and a tree full of angels in a meadow. Because of these visions,
Blake s parents decided it would be best to homeschool him, so he learned to read as well as write
from his parents. This truly goes to show that you don t possess an elegant education to be an
immense writer. As he aged, William s poetry grew to be about topics that were important to him such
as politics, war, but more importantly, religion.
Many of William Blake s poems include themes of religion, The Lamb and The Tyger are no
exceptions. The Lamb is one of William s poems written in 1789. This is a poem about all of the
wonderful, bright, Godly conditions in the world. Blake uses the characteristics of the Lamb in the
poem to establish an uplifting, fluffy mood, such as in the three lines, Gave thee clothing of delight,
Softest clothing wooly bright; Gave thee such a tender voice. This poem is undoubtedly centered
around a child educating a lamb on the ways of God as well as religion. It may seem like the theme,
including my interpretation, is all personal, but it is confirmed when the

The recent financial crisis in the U.S. that spread to other countries and caused massive turndown in

production had shifted dramatically towards services, specially to financial services, and this in turn
led to financial liberalizations, developed countries experienced massive capital inflows, lending

Besides, the AAA ratings of most structured securities also lured foreign investors to the security
market, raising the demand for the structured products (E,Benemlelich.J,Dlugosz.2008). The volume
of trade in securities increased, which further strengthened a bubble in housing prices by creating
cheap credit. According to S P/Case Shiller Home Price Indices, in 2005 the price of the house where
gone up about 100 % compare to 2000.
At the same time, the rise in the demand for securitized products changed the function of the banks;
their key activity became to originate loans, package them, and sell them to investors. As a result,
lending standards fell dramatically and banks relaxed regulatory standards, which increased loan
approvals. Also, mortgage brokers began providing discounted mortgages, no documentation
mortgages and NINJA (No income, No job, No assets) loans. The background checking became
unnecessary because the price of the houses were just increasing, and the originating banks were able
to pass the loans to less risk averse investors (E,Benemlelich. J,Dlugosz.2008).
The credit bubble started to create such an environment. This bubble refers to trading an assets above
the real value of the assets. So, the underlying assets for those securities were the houses.

  • 2. Rite Aid Benefits In middle school, everyone should have a future career in mind. I would love to be a pharmacist sometime in the future. Allowing me to visit Rite Aid would benefit both parts. If I am given the opportunity to visit Rite Aid, it would give me experience. Obviously I won t catch on right away, but visiting could really help me to get a better understanding of the job. It would expose me to what I am going to have to deal with, so I won t be caught so off guard on my first day. It would be good experience to let me visit Rite Aid. Visiting Rite Aid will improve the company s reputation in the community. People will see that they are helping out the youth and respect them for it. • 4. Gothic Cinema And The Movie The Conjuring In life, some people prefer to watch movies, and some people prefer to read books. Then there are some who love both movies and books. However, when one genre is portrayed in cinema and in literature, it is easy to compare the two. Are they complementary or are they in opposition to each other? In terms of gothic cinema and literature, they are both complementary to one another. In the two movies, The Conjuring and The Skeleton Key, gothic cinema proves to go hand in hand with the style of textual gothic and they both show to have a strong aesthetic force. In the pieces of gothic literature, The Falls, The Book of Blood, and Amityville Horror, they are all very strong gothic pieces which all have a strong aesthetic force. In the movie, The Conjuring, gothic cinema proves to go hand in hand with the style of textual gothic and it has a strong aesthetic force. In this movie, it portrays many aspects of traditional gothic literature. For example, the element of the supernatural is the main part of this movie. By making the center of this movie about supernatural occurrences, it goes hand in hand with textual gothic. In textual gothic, there is almost always some type of supernatural element, even if it is as small as in The Castle of Otranto. However, instead of having a small supernatural element, The Conjuring provides the audience with extremely terrifying and real supernatural components. For example, one terrifying moment in this movie is when the daughter, Nancy, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Analysis of Cancer Cancer The Enemy Within Abstract: Cancer has been known and feared since antiquity, but its imperative danger could only be realized until fairly recently. Indeed as knowledge of the disease grew in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, fear increased when people became more aware that most cancers had no available cure. Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells reproduce without control, destroy healthy tissue, and eventually cause deterioration to the body. This paper is a discussion on how cancer develops and spreads, some of the various types of cancer, and the causes of the disease. Cancer is a disease in which cells multiply without control, destroy healthy tissue, and endanger life. About 100 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Sarcomas are cancers that begin in connective tissue. These tissues form the body s supporting structures, such as bone and cartilage. The great majority of cancer cases are carcinomas. They include most cancers of the skin and the breast as well as of digestive, reproductive, respiratory, and urinary systems. Sarcomas also occur in all of these organs and systems but are far less common. Scientists do not know exactly why cancer develops, but they have found that certain agents play an active role in causing the disease. Most experts agree that people develop cancer mainly through repeated or prolonged contact with one or more cancer causing agents, called carcinogens. Carcinogens attack normal cells and may eventually cause one of them to become cancerous. Some carcinogens are introduced into the body through the nose, mouth, or some other opening. Other carcinogens attack the body through the skin. Many cancers are caused by a combination of 2 or more carcinogens rather than by a single one. Laboratory tests and population studies indicate that two main groups of carcinogens can cause cancer in human beings. This groups consist of various chemicals, and certain forms of radiation. Some examples of chemical carcinogens include the tars in tobacco smoke, certain industrial chemicals, certain unnatural food chemicals and also various chemicals used in drugs. Radiation, on the other hand, produces cancer in people who are exposed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Summary Of The Philadelphia Experiment Some believe the Philadelphia Experiment during World War II was a very technical experiment that took place in the Philadelphia Navy yard in 1943. This experiment is also called, Project Rainbow , and is said to consist of the U.S. Navy destroyer called the USS Eldridge being made invisible, then teleported to Norfolk Docks four hundred miles away, then teleported back. This theory also supports the idea that when the ship got back to Philadelphia, there were fatal consequences for the crew on deck. This was an attempt to counteract German U boats as they had a major advantage over U.S. warships. The warships are slow and have a large turning radius. A man by the name of Morris Ketchum Jessup received notes from Carlos Allende (Carl M. Allen) in a copy of Jessup s book, The Case for the UFO. These notes outlined what Allende thought of Jessup s ideas in the book. Allende actual disproved one idea, but this sparked Jessup s attention. Jessup moved on to researching Einstein s unified field theory, and he published this research. Allende soon responded in a series letters to Jessup, describing the Philadelphia Experiment in detail. This lead Jessup to research further into this possibility, obtaining more and more information. Jessup was very close to a breakthrough. While Jessup and Allende s agreement has some backing, it is a far out view which is hard to believe as there is evidence to rebuttal the points made. The other side of the story is backed by the ... • 7. An Analysis Of Rick Moody s Boys Each story makes use of a very unique tone and form of narration yet these same qualities can be compared to some extent across these essays. The authors utilize different forms of writing to convey their intended focus to the audience. I found each story relative to one another in that they all seemed to touch of the subject of the roles of different genders in our contemporary society maybe even across different cultures. Rick Moody s short story Boys is written with a distinct style. The author uses a form of a stream of consciousness to convey the purpose at hand, which encompasses writing as if without hesitation or editing whatever came to Moody s thoughts, he transferred to text. There was also a substantial use of the word boys , placing emphasis on the central meaning of the story. The style is thoroughly descriptive and fails to leave any details of the boys lives out. This quality donates a sense of reality and creates a bond between the reader and the characters. The tone of the story comes of as particularly unbiased and serious, as if the author were just stating purely factual information. As events become more somber in the boys lives, the author approaches a more sympathetic tone. The boys were supposed to be kids, fooling around playing games and living a care free childhood, but these boys found themselves in scenarios no boy or child should ever encompass. In the story Boys by Rick Moody from the book Literature To Go, The narrator writes ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He manages to out due everyone in terms of how their personality changed. And in the end his change brought the demise of a beloved character. From how his personality seemed to be at the start of the book to how it was at the end. Or the tragic event that he caused by his insanity through grief. Also that the death of his wife seemed to of scarred him.George Wilson s personality definitely changed the most from the beginning. You know this is the case just due to his encounters before and after. Before at the party at Myrtle s apartment, he seemed to be a well mannered, feminine looking man . In chapter 2, at the party he is described as a feminine man. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But this changes a fair amount by the end of this story. After the death of his wife he seemed to be instantly distraught and deranged, the first time we hear from him after the fact, he just sounds like an absolute lunatic. Going on about dog collars and just random things until he deduces who killed his wife . In a later chapter he is talking to his friend, while his friend just tries to calm him down, George was already too far gone and made his mind up to take action against his wife s killer. It is quite obvious to see that he was driven to this by grief. This is the worst Daisy does ( or anyone for that matter) due to the fact that she directly killed somebody and indirectly cause a murder and suicide. Also, at the beginning of the book, (in chapter 2) George Wilson does not seem to strike anyone as a murderer or some deranged man. This is how he was described in chapter 9. In chapter two at the party, George seemed to be more interested in Tom s business coming his way then the night himself and was not obnoxious, or evil. He ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Grignard Lab A Grignard Like Organic Reaction The Synthesis of 1 phenyl 3 buten 1 ol Introduction The Grignard reaction is an important synthetic process by which a new carbon to carbon bond is formed. Magnesium metal is first reacted with an organic halide forming the Grignard reagent. The Grignard reaction is the addition of an organomagnesium halide (Grignard reagent) to a ketone or aldehyde, to form a tertiary or secondary alcohol, respectively. For example, the reaction with formaldehyde leads to a primary alcohol. • 11. Importance Of Cultural Awareness In Pakistan Cultural Awareness in Pakistan Pakistan is an incredibly important nation when it relates to the United States and foreign policy. With just shy of two hundred million people, it is the sixth most populous nation on Earth and also has significant influence on southern Asian and middle eastern politics (Worldometers). In the coming paragraphs, many important factors of Pakistan such as geography, language, religion, and political make up will be analyzed and discussed in how it relates to the United States and the military. To begin, we will examine the geography of the nation of Pakistan. Pakistan has a rather complicated geography and many different climates. Dominating the northern borders of the nation are the Himalayas, the world s highest mountain range. The very northern edge of the nation is comprised of the contested region of Kashmir, which is not formally recognized as a territory of Pakistan but is under their influence (ThoughtCo). Pakistan s western reaches, which border the nations of Iran and Afghanistan is a sparsely populated region of hot desert and sporadic foothills and mountain ranges. Temperatures in this region can reach in excess of one hundred and twenty degrees fahrenheit, making it one of the hottest areas in southern Asia (AccuWeather). This type of family became increasingly popular following the industrial age in the 1900s. The nuclear family soon became the norm as people transferred from large kin groups to smaller independent families (Pulsipher, 2015). This posed a problem in the beginning because close relatives no longer played a role in raising children and no longer had anyone to look after them in old age as they did when kin groups were common. However, as time went on, nuclear families faced challenges and soon began to fallout as a result of changes in couples. In order for a family to be considered nuclear, the parents must be married and have children However, the number of unmarried couples in the United States nearly doubled in the 1900s as it grew more common for people to not further their relationships. This caused the number of homes consisting of nuclear families to reach their lowest level falling from 45% of all households in 1960 to just 25.6% last year (Feder, 2001). Not only did it grow common for couples to not get married, divorce grew common. This influenced the number of children who, instead of being a part of a nuclear family, were a part of a single parent family. In fact, due to divorce, 43% of American children spent at least part of their childhood in a single parent family in 1996 (Feder, 2001). Don Feder, author on human events, explains that these shifts in attitude towards marriage and nuclear families has been caused by changes in cultural influences such as media. Assimilation, according to Rodriguez, is the integration of one s culture with another. Rodriguez is not in favor of or against assimilation but acknowledges that it is occurring in America. Rodriguez first discusses the Canadian model of assimilation, where individuals in a mixed race culture prefer to remain ethnically and culturally separate. Rodriguez proposes that America adopts a Mexican model of assimilation, where one is classified by the culture that one adopts rather than by one s skin color. Americans have a conflicted and confused view of assimilation, preferring to keep a distinguished sense of self, while actually assimilating culturally with many different ethnic groups. The Nothing that is about Everything The Nothing That Is A Natural History of Zero by Robert Kaplan is a book literally a book about the number zero and how it was formed. He takes the reader on a journey through time and shows the transformation of not just zero but numbers in general from multiple countries and empires. Kaplan starts off his book by describing zero and what its possibilities are in the world. Then he jumps into the Sumerians who were one of the first to create a number system comprised of stick that had a triangle on the top. Slowly their number system evolved but never had a zero. They started making place holders for the larger numbers and assigning different sizes to the shapes in order to show a larger amount. He then moves on to the Greeks who he credits the discovery of zero. It is believed that the O came from the Greek word omicron which is the first letter of ouden or nothing. Zero was not originally used to show the absences of something but as a place holder or a space between other numbers. It was then used by Greek astronomers as anything from minutes and seconds to degrees but still not as zero today. It wasn t until 730 AD that the Greeks used an informal way to show zero. Analysis Of Nietzsche s On Truth And Lies In A Nonmoral Sense In On Truth and Lies in a Nonmoral Sense , Nietzsche seeks to explain why and how humankind has developed our own senses of truth and in the same vein, lies. He says that the process involves taking a stimuli and creating an image metaphor for it, and then a sound metaphor to it, which results in the creation of language. Then, the human brain categorizes the stimuli into certain categories and into different concepts that represent the total of unequal individualized objects and then rejects everything that the category is not as a lie. Nietzsche calls the human race artistically creating subjects because we are able to take a stimulus whether it be an image, smell, or sound and make a metaphorical image in our minds of what the object is by assigning characteristics to it. Then, humans assign a metaphorical sound to represent the stimulus, which eventually becomes the basis of language. Therefore, we have created this metaphor to the perception of a stimulus that could change from person to person; it is completely subjective. No child is born with this knowledge of their environment, but taught by parents or guardians. For example, color is very subjective because if a child is raised to think that the color red is actually called blue , he would only know it as blue. This metaphorical process, along with the need to be social, eventually produced languages between humans and gave us a sense of truthfulness and lies, which only entails that fact that humans are purposely using the definition of something the wrong way in order to harm. In addition, Nietzsche also points out the cases of differing foreign languages because nothing corresponds directly to the actual nature of a stimulus. • 26. The Chosen Ones By Pablo Neruda Analysis Resuscitation Pablo Neruda s poem The Chosen Ones is a perfect incorporation of torment and influence, acting to sadden as well as impact the reader to influence further action against intolerance. Neruda uses allusion when referencing the years of events of significant suffering that are important in Cuban and world history, recalling his own first hand experiences himself, and the significance of understanding these dates and events. Neruda uses a tone that is volatile, characterized by an increase in imagery, especially of death and violence, as the piece goes on. Neruda uses a couplet at the end to shift the poem from lengthy description of violence and death, to a sardonic reference of those who were killed, operating as a call to action. This poem uses allusion, tone, and personification to exemplify violence as a result of prejudice and their legacy forgotten. Neruda s use of historical allusion is significant as several dates mentioned are specific examples of genocide, especially as a result of hatred towards complex institutions of race, nationality, and religion. In this piece Neruda references several dates: 1925, 1926, 1933, 1940, 1918, 1905, and thousands of nineteen hundreds (Neruda,1). Each date representative of a significantly negative event in world history; However several dates also coincide with important years in Cuban history. For example, in the year 1925, Gerardo Machado was elected Cuba s president, he would resist the rise of a healthy labor movement, which he would enforce using deportation and police brutality. Cuba s economic downfall would lead to uprisings in the future, all ultimately having Cuban legislature and law enforcement being taken advantage of, while at the same time several mass killings world arise before crimes against humanity would be identified and prosecuted at the International Military Tribunal in Nuremberg. Neruda s first hand experiences with oppression and fascism growing up in Cuba allowed many to learn from the Chilean because he offered a way of identifying with the masses and engaging the problems of society (Pettingell, 3). They strongly believed in fate and valued traits such as courage, generosity, faithfulness and, most importantly, strength. This is shown through the many epic poems that were composed and performed by the Anglo Saxons during this time period. One of the most well known epics Beowulf, celebrates the deeds of the legendary and heroic Geat warrior named Beowulf. In Beowulf, physical strength is the defining factor of a warrior s worth. When Hrothgar discovers he and the Danes had actually misinterpreted the situation and Beowulf was still a warrior of great strength, he immediately returns to deeming Beowulf as worthy of praise and support, illustrating the clear connection between a warrior s success and value. The drastic change in the way Hrothgar treats Beowulf before and after he learns of the true outcome of the battle quite obviously shows how strength is directly linked to how a warrior is viewed and treated in Anglo Saxon society. The final relevant case of strength being used as the defining characteristic of a worthy warrior arises when a dragon attacks Geatland. As the king of Greatland at the time, Beowulf accepts the challenge and tells his people I ve never known fear... / I will fight again, seek fame still, / If the dragon hiding in his tower dares / To face me. Then he said farewell to his followers each in turn (2511, 2513 2517). One of the very important techniques that I learned on this book was the power of word of mouth. Basically when a group young adults went for a trip, they makes sure that everyone will have an awesome trip and when they came back they will tell their friends and relatives about their experience. They will spread the word on how amazing the experience they had on the trip. They will talk about what attractions they ve seen or where they went in Europe or what activities they did. At this point, when other people heard about their great feedback for the trip, it will give a huge interest to other people. For me personally, if my friend went to that trip and told me that she had a really great time on the trip, I would definitely book on that trip too if I want to travel. It will give me an interest and it shows that I can trust the company because they had a really great customer feedback. Another thing is to treat the passenger s complaints seriously no matter how big or small it is because you ll never know what could happen and it could possibly affect the whole company. Make sure you identify and diffuse any issue before it becomes a major. Because if you didn t solve the problem, it doesn t only affect the company but also the customer s loyalty and trust which is very important for a business. When you make sure that you satisfied their needs even though you made a mistake, you can solve it earlier or later before it gets ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Despite Hamilton s opposing beliefs, his attempts to persuade everyone were highly successful, due to the fact that his actions lead to the selection of his bitter, political enemy, Thomas Jefferson, as our nation s third chief executive, despite the differences they had. Hamilton was able to persuade the House of Representatives to vote for Jefferson over Burr by writing, From Alexander Hamilton to Harrison Gray Otis. In this letter, Hamilton elaborates on how choosing Jefferson is the best option because he is the less evil between the two of them. However; the outcome of the election affected not only Hamilton s political career, but his personal life in numerous ways, as well. As far as his political career goes, he lost an immense amount of support from the Federalists. This was due to his pamphlet, Letter from Alexander Hamilton, Concerning the Public Conduct and Character of John Adams, Esq., which elaborated on why people should not vote for Adams as president. This was widely circulated by Aaron Burr s, after he lost the presidency run. This was ultimately the most lethal aspect to Hamilton s political career. Secondly, the Federalists wanted Burr to win the presidency, due to the fact they thought Jefferson would ruin everything that had been accomplished within the past twelve years, but Hamilton opposed this. Additionally, Burr attempted to run as governor in New York, and the New York Federalists were going to vote him in. However; Hamilton advised everyone not to vote for him, thus; causing Burr to lose, again. Despite Hamilton not being the only one to go against Burr, Burr challenged Hamilton to a duel, which, ultimately lead to his death, which ended his personal life. • 37. Summary Of The Lamb And The Tyger By William Blake William Blake was a poet who was born in November 1757 and passed away August 1827. William was a very religious Christian who was born in London to James and Catherine Blake. At the young age of four, William was convinced that he was seeing visions of God along with other religious beings such as angels. According to a small biography on poets.org, these visions included God putting his head to William s window and a tree full of angels in a meadow. Because of these visions, Blake s parents decided it would be best to homeschool him, so he learned to read as well as write from his parents. This truly goes to show that you don t possess an elegant education to be an immense writer. As he aged, William s poetry grew to be about topics that were important to him such as politics, war, but more importantly, religion. Many of William Blake s poems include themes of religion, The Lamb and The Tyger are no exceptions. The Lamb is one of William s poems written in 1789. This is a poem about all of the wonderful, bright, Godly conditions in the world. Blake uses the characteristics of the Lamb in the poem to establish an uplifting, fluffy mood, such as in the three lines, Gave thee clothing of delight, Softest clothing wooly bright; Gave thee such a tender voice. This poem is undoubtedly centered around a child educating a lamb on the ways of God as well as religion. It may seem like the theme, including my interpretation, is all personal, but it is confirmed when the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Besides, the AAA ratings of most structured securities also lured foreign investors to the security market, raising the demand for the structured products (E,Benemlelich.J,Dlugosz.2008). The volume of trade in securities increased, which further strengthened a bubble in housing prices by creating cheap credit. According to S P/Case Shiller Home Price Indices, in 2005 the price of the house where gone up about 100 % compare to 2000. At the same time, the rise in the demand for securitized products changed the function of the banks; their key activity became to originate loans, package them, and sell them to investors. As a result, lending standards fell dramatically and banks relaxed regulatory standards, which increased loan approvals. Also, mortgage brokers began providing discounted mortgages, no documentation mortgages and NINJA (No income, No job, No assets) loans. The background checking became unnecessary because the price of the houses were just increasing, and the originating banks were able to pass the loans to less risk averse investors (E,Benemlelich.
