1. Macbeth Analytical Essay
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Macbeth" can be an endeavor fraught with both challenge
and reward. At its core, dissecting Shakespeare's iconic tragedy demands a delicate balance of
literary analysis, historical context, and critical interpretation. Engaging with the complex
characters, intricate plot dynamics, and profound themes woven throughout the play requires not
only a deep understanding of the text but also a keen analytical eye.
Navigating the labyrinthine depths of "Macbeth" necessitates a meticulous examination of its
multifaceted layers, from the psychological intricacies of its protagonist to the socio-political
backdrop against which the drama unfolds. Unraveling the moral ambiguities, existential
dilemmas, and thematic nuances embedded within the text demands a rigorous intellectual
inquiry and a willingness to grapple with the complexities inherent in Shakespearean tragedy.
Moreover, crafting a compelling analytical essay on "Macbeth" entails more than just
summarizing the plot or regurgitating scholarly insights. It requires the ability to synthesize
diverse perspectives, offer original interpretations, and present cogent arguments supported by
textual evidence. Delving into the depths of the human psyche, exploring the nature of ambition,
guilt, and power, and uncovering the intricacies of Shakespeare's language and imagery are all
integral aspects of the analytical process.
Yet, despite its inherent challenges, writing an essay on "Macbeth" offers the opportunity for
intellectual growth, creative exploration, and scholarly engagement. It invites readers to delve
beneath the surface of the text, to interrogate its meanings, and to grapple with its enduring
relevance in today's world.
In conclusion, tackling the complexities of a "Macbeth Analytical Essay" is no small feat. It
demands a nuanced understanding of the text, a discerning analytical approach, and a
willingness to engage with its profound themes and timeless truths. However, for those willing
to embark on this intellectual journey, the rewards are boundless.

An organization s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drives them to look out for
the different interests of society. Most business corporations undertake responsibility
for the impact of their organizational pursuits and various activities on their
customers, employees, shareholders, communities and the environment. With the
high volume of general competition between different companies and organizations
in varied fields, CSR has become a morally imperative commitment, more than one
enforced by the law. Most organizations in the modern world willingly try to
improve the general well being of not only their employees, but also their families

Due to the increase of public awareness in the recent years, a company needs to
maintain its moral image. This has also led to the governments all over the world
becoming more vigilant in their regulation of these organizations. Government
restriction, taxes and environmentally sensitive areas are some of the biggest and
most expensive hindrances faced by business organizations, costing them millions of
dollars. For some cases, it becomes too expensive for companies to be ethical in
tackling various obligations. This forces them to change their approach and look for
alternative actions.

It does, in fact, ironically come from Hollywood. Because today, if aliens did arrive

With a worldwide empire hiding in plain sight, Disney is taking over the world.

Entering the Paula and Leonard Granoff Gallery at the RISD museum every work
of art is like a hidden gem waiting to be found. A small sculpture in the corner of the
gallery is one of those hidden gems made by the artist brothers of Nikolai and Simon
Haas. The Haas brothers created the sculpture, Big Baby Accretion with Navajo
Striations, in 2016. The creation is 12.25 inches tall including the thin spout at the
top. It is meant to represent natural formations created in nature. For example, the
uppermost part of the sculpturehas a texture resembling coral and the bottom texture
resembling tree fungi. Even though the two textures are different, they still form a
cohesive piece giving the viewer an overall feeling of balance. Overall the sculpture
is a piece with many details having great impact on the viewer.
Seeing the Big Baby Accretion with Navajo Striations, the viewer receives a
unique experience. When the viewer is standing at a distance the sculpture has the
appearance of a small mass with a soft texture. The artwork seems to have white
spots covering the surface like the first flurries of a snowstorm landing on dark
pavement. As the viewer moves closer toward the artwork, the once small mass
becomes a bigger object than expected. At the same time, texture is beginning to
appear more like a freshly groomed bush. Different variations of color are starting to
appear as well. For example, the viewer is able to pick up hints of red peeking out
from the structure. In
8. Similarities Between The New England, The Middle
Colonies...
In 1492, Christopher Columbus sailed to find the Indies, but instead he found an
undiscovered continent which would soon be called the New World. The New
World was full of fresh possibilities, promises of treasures, and religious freedom; it
was a place that could be called home. After years of conquest and settling, four
regions came about on the East Coast of North America: New England, the Middle
Colonies, the Southern Colonies, and the Chesapeake colonies. The colonists had
their similarities such as that they were ruled by England, though their government
was the majority self governed, they were mostly Protestants who did not agree with
the Roman Catholic Church, they had the same culture, and there was some religious
tolerance. Despite these similarities, they were still quite different. The New England
region contained two combined colonies. There was Massachusettsand Rhode Island,
made to be the Massachusetts Bay Colony. This colony began with settlers differing
from religious norm. The religion was mainly Puritan, those who wanted to get rid of
Catholicism from the Church of England. On the other hand, the Toleration Act,
declared in 1649, and made by Parliament towards New England, forced their
tolerance of other religions. Despite that tolerance, the Puritans were still reluctant to
accept the other religions causing colonists of those religions to travel to further west
for their own religious freedom. The Massachusetts Bay Colony s economy relied on

9. Bailey And Casey
Question: Bailey and Casey spend a lot of time interacting online. They re
Facebook friends and follow each other on Twitter and Instagram, as well as
playing online games together. Unbeknownst to Casey, though, Bailey is not a
human being. Bailey is a computer program. Given that Bailey is maintaining this
sort of complex relationship with not just Casey, but an entire network of online
friends (none of whom suspect that Bailey is not human), are we justified in
concluding that Bailey has a mind? Antithesis: No, Bailey does not have a mind.
Objection 1: Because Bailey is a computer program, she has no mind. The entirety
of her existence has been created in a lab and could easily be stored on a chip. Bailey
s entity occupies no physical space, has no body, and has no actual brain. Due to
this, Bailey is not able to be conscious because... Show more content on

However, since she is capable of simultaneously maintaining relationships with
numerous people besides Casey, Bailey does not have a mind because human beings
are unable to do the same thing. Response: Despite the fact that Bailey is not a
living, breathing human being but rather a highly emotional and intelligent entity, I
respond that Bailey does have a mind. According to Rene Descartes, a being s mind
is vastly different from its matter. In Bailey s case, she has no physical body but is
apparently still capable of entertaining and conveying many human like emotions
using her artificial mind. The 2013 film Her explored much of this same territory in
the sense that artificially intelligent software programs are capable of having
emotions and complex relationships with human beings. Such a machine as
Samantha in Her could have very well passed the Turing Test, which measures a
machine s ability to exhibit intelligent behavior indistinguishable from that of a
human. Regardless,

Companies like Whole Foods with their organic foods have cause FreshDirect to

The strategies used to stay on top of the composition are what I like to call the ear to

they don t lose their customers that wanted that same type product. FreshDirect was

Music is considered to be one of the highest forms of art in many different cultures. It
s almost a guarantee for music and youth to have a special relationship between each
other. From the beginning of music, it has been constantly evolving to fit the

is a
genre of musicthat has been created based off of a different genre. After a while, that
subculture turns into the mainstream genre. Every mainstream musical genre had to

before reggae even came over to the United States. After that, it also took a few

Reggae is its own mainstream genre that will probably spark its own subculture.
In fact, Reggae has an influence in modern day Hip hop. Hip hop is both a cultural

Despite their flaws and mistakes , these characters never learn they are mistaken in
their choices because in reality they re choices are morally correct. A true tragic
hero would go through each phase, from being born into a noble or rich family, to
making a mistake or having a certain flaw, and to the very end realizing their
mistake or flaw. However with Antigone, Okonkwo, Paul, and Marjane there is no
true mistake or flaw. Instead, they have been right the whole time because they
have fought for the correct cause and their flaw is not a flaw but merely the
opinion of the opposing group. For example, with Antigone, her flaw was fighting
for her brothers burial because of her love for him and because it was the gods

colonizers who would eventually be known for exploiting African people and abusing

the men experience dreadful and terrifying situations. Therefore Paul realizes he, and
others, did not make the mistake but rather he was manipulated, pressured, and
exploited by their own country. Consequently, Paul is just one example of how all

this could be Venezuela and Colombia and also The United States of America and
Canada. Although North Korea and South Korea share a same piece of land, they
have many differences. The most notable differences between North Koreaand South
Koreaare in the political, tourist and economic aspect.
Firstly, the political aspect of North Korea, officially the Democratic People s

Earlier this year the DPRK lodged an urgent appeal to the United Nations World

first and only industrialized economy to lose the capacity to feed itself.
Meanwhile South Korea s economy according to Forbes was one of the world s
fastest growing from the early 1960s to the late 1990s, and still one of the fastest
growing developed countries in the 2000s.
Although these two countries share a same piece of land, they have three important
points that make them differentiable, which are political, tourist and economic. North
Korea is a socialism country which is not a common destination for tourist and also
its economy has brought starvation to its population while South Korea is a
democratic country which attracts a lot of tourist and the economy is still growing
every day. It is possible that in these coming years the North Korean situation could

Determining an enthalpy change of a displacement reaction
Aim:
To determine the enthalpy change for the displacement reaction between zinc powder
and copper (II) sulphate solution.
Zn (s) + Cu2+ (aq) в†’ Cu2+ (s) + Zn2+ (aq)
Theory:
For the displacement reaction, an excess amount of zinc powder is added to the
measured amount of aqueous copper (II) sulphate. The temperature change over a
period of time has to be measured and thus, the enthalpy change for the reaction can
be measured.
The equation of the above reaction is:
Zn (s) + Cu2+ (aq) в†’ Cu2+ (s) + Zn2+ (aq)

Zn (s) + Cu2+ (aq) в†’ Cu (s) + Zn2+ (aq) The zinc powder was black in colour
while copper (II) sulphate solution was blue in colour because of the presence of

when the lid was removed, it was found out that the blue colour of the copper (II)
sulphate solution has faded away. It was turned to pale grey and there were some
precipitates present. It was the zinc powder that was in excess to ensure that the
copper (II) sulphate solution could react fully with the zinc powder. The colour of
the precipitate was black and were quite small in size, so it was a bit hard to
distinguish between the zinc powder present and the copper formed by the
displacement reaction because copper formed should be reddish brown is colour
which is also a dark colour and thus two dark colours were hard to be distinguished.

For the busy manager, there never seems to be enough time in one day to do
everything. You can create To Do lists, plan ahead, abide by a calendar, but in
healthcare, an industry that is constantly changing, new tasks arise in response to
external and internal environmental changes very quickly. In order to adapt to these
changes, a skilled manager must know how to delegate. Merriam Webster defines
delegation as the act of giving control, authority, a job, duty, etc. to another person .
The National Council of the State Board of Nurses defines delegation as the transfer
of authority to perform a nursing task from one person to another, while retaining
accountability for the outcome. Definitions may vary, but the significance of strategic
delegation within an organization is tantamount to the very people who work within
it. Delegation is a layered process that has implications for employees, managers, and
the greater organization. Empowering staff through delegation is a such a challenge,
that a leader with effective delegation skills is essential to the success of any
organization. Effective delegation has the potential to boost staff morale, develop
more competent employees, and gives managers time to address managementlevel

21. The Pardoner s Tale By Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The Pardoner is a man who goes to common people and offers promises of pardon,
of healing, and forgiveness, all for a price that is. He openly boasts of all of his
deceitful way to all around sharing in the pilgrimage to Canterbury. He then
proceeds to tell the entire party of sinful things such as greed, drunkenness,
swearing, gambling, lechery, purjory, and gluttony, all of which he is a partaker.
The Pardoner s tale and the Pardoner himself are reflections of today s culture. The
Pardoner tells the company of people he is with of his vices and he speaks them
with pride as if they are not really vices but virtues. He then proceeds to pronounce
them as vices in his story of the three men who band together to find death and kill
him. They come... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You have as much right as the rich and the mighty. Don t hesitate to satisfy your
needs; indeed, expand your needs and demand more. This is the worldly doctrine of
today. And they believe that this is freedom. The result for the rich is isolation and
suicide, for the poor, envy and murder. ― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, the Brothers
Karamazov.
The Pardoner and the men in his tale do the opposite of what the bible says.
1 Timothy 6:9 11, Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and
into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction.
10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money,
have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. But you, man
of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance
and gentleness.
In this, the condemnation is clear for the way the Pardoner lives his life, not matter
how appealing it is to him.
Sin is like a jail cell, except it is all nice and comfy and there doesn t seem to be any

23. The Doctrine Of The Faith
Mavrodes begins by stating the doctrine of the faith, which is that God is omnipotent
(capable of anything). There has been attempts to refute the omnipotence of God by
proposing things he cannot do. One example Mavrodes gives is the creation of a
square circle.
In paragraph two Mavrodes goes on to highlight the counterarguments to these
attempts by a St. Thomas. St. Thomas wanted to clarify that the anything that we
refer to when we talk about God s omnipotence should be, construed to refer only to
objects, actions, or states of affairs whose descriptions are not self contradictory.
Thomas goes on to say that only things whose nonexistence might plausibly be
attributed to a lack of power would fit under this category. Mavrodes ... Show more

Mavrodes now decides to state that despite this difference, the question of the stone
is open to the same solution as the problem of the square circle. The question of the
stone doesn t work because it depends on asking whether God can perform a self
contradictory thing. The answer that he cannot do such a thing does not damage God
s doctrine of omnipotence.
Either God s omnipotence is true, or he lacks such omnipotence. If we are to
assume that he is not omnipotent, the problem of a stone too heavy for God to lift
wouldn t contradict itself. If we say that God is able or unable to create such a stone,
his omnipotence may be in question. This too is no more than an assumption much
like the one we started with. Mavrodes then questions whether or not the assumption
of the omnipotence of God always leads to a reductio, when in fact, in may give us a
feasible answer.
When one assumes that God is omnipotent, a stone too heavy to lift then becomes
contradictory, as it then becomes what Mavrodes refers to as, a stone which
cannot be lifted by Him whose power is sufficient for lifting anything. The stone
this scenario describes contradicts itself and is entirely impossible, so we can
check it at the door when it comes to questioning God s omnipotence. Not being
capable of logical existence, it s failure to do so can t be due to a lack in the power of
God. It is the omnipotence of

Modern Pirates In some fictional works pirates are portrayed in a heroic way. For
example, Luffy, captain of the main band of pirates in the popular anime cartoon
One Piece, is depicted as a fun loving adventurer that chases his dreams. He is a
character to be emulated. Unfortunately, the modern day Somali pirates of East
Africa have that similar effect on some of the Somali people. According to the
African Economic Development Institute (AEDI), the bigger and more sophisticated
European and Asian fishing ships took advantage of the governmental collapse and
the ensuing civil war in Somalia in 1991. With permission of the corrupt military

. . . The presence of pirates seems to prolong the Somali conflict (40). In a way, a
terrible cycle has now emerged. The Somali governmental collapse sparked the
conflict and the conflict gave birth to the pirates. Now it seems the pirates are being
counterproductive in the establishment of a new government. Pirates are some of the
most powerful people in central regions, meaning that bringing them to justice is a lot
harder than simply issuing an arrest warrant. Arguably, young people are most
affected by the rise in piracy. Even though private business and end consumers
globally are losing money due to this issue, Somali youth are being forced to grow
up in a country where piracy is not only an acceptable job, but a prestigious one as
well (AEDI 5). The United Nations Development Programme Somalia interviewed
and ex pirate who stated, After completing secondary education ... I had to look for
a job, but could not find one. Because of this frustration, I was lured into piracy (41).
This man professes to have desired going about life honestly and with integrity; the
opportunity just wasn t there. Considering this to be an isolated example would be
foolish with the current state of the Somali government and economy. Currently, the
pirates who operate off of the coast of Somalia are having a much harder time. The

are going for safety, avoiding the war, and they go through so much fear. When
refugees find a new home, they face, new people and they try to fit in the new

they are turned inside out because they had to flee home and they finally feel

a refugee would go through. Ha s experience is a specific example of the universal
experience because she went through a lot like any other refugee would during a

Key Decision Criteria To evaluate the alternatives, the key factors would be costs
of setting up in other cities within Canada and if it will generate more sales by
setting up there. If by expanding, more sales, more market shares and profits are
generated then it is better to expand in that specific city but if the costs of setting up
there are more than the amount of sales you will make in that city then it is better not
to set up there.
Implementation
The best alternative to take would be to expand in the city that has the majority
minority population, which is to expand in other cities like Toronto. Due to the high
demand for tropical food and drinks, there is a need and thus can create large sales.
Because these products will be known to the minority market there, there may be a

According to Marx, society is primarily divided on those who own property, For
Marx, he believes that there are only two primary groups in society and these

motivational force for change in capitalism. But before humans can do anything, they
must satisfy certain their basic needs, they must feed, clothe and house themselves
though productive labor, as it is the This approach is called by Marx, the Materialist
Conception of History. Because humans produce their own means of life, the only

With everything bought and sold at its value, with the capitalists pocketing the
surplus value made from the labor of the proletariats.
Now Marx isn t saying that all components of capitalism are bad, it s just that the
capitalist class must exploit the proletariats to remain on top of the hierarchy. They
must continue to exploit to build their wealth at their best interest, as their class
division entails them to continuously do to continue the wealth bloodline
In this context, Marx realizes that the productive forces in a society develop faster
than production relations, and they may also conflict with each other. Formally

from one socio economic format to another. This underlined the progressive character

Even in situations where the copper is recovered and the etchant is regenerated by
the waste hauler, this waste stream may be an environmental hazard. Transportation

1.3 Disposal of electronic equipments
Electronic equipment is considered hazardous because of the presence of lead,
mercury, cadmium, chromium, and some types of retardants. For example, some
monitors can contain up to 27% lead. There are four main ways which electronic
equipment can be disposed. They are incineration, resale, donation and recycling.
Destruction of electronics equipment means incineration. Businesses are allowed to
dispose of their hazardous waste in this manner, but the destruction then falls under
more restrictive hazardous waste rules. The incineration process yields some
environmentally dirty residue and it is thus not an entirely green option.
Superficially, resale, looks like a good option. It generates profits for the company,
the buyers are happy, and the electronics are disposed of. However, liability and
administration concerns become an issue. Properly administering a sales program
takes time and paperwork, and one has to consider whether used electronics sales are
really what the company is in business to do.
Donation is also a valid option. However, electronics are classified as hazardous

The struggle between different social classes and the move toward equality is what
has marked the history of the world, especially over the past few hundred years.
Karl Marx s philosophy was that history is the narrative of class struggle during
which the poor seek to overthrow the nobility. Class distinction is very prevalent in
The Remains of the Day. The novel is about the lives of the serving class in relation
to those whom they serve. In The Remains of the Day, James Stevens identity is
consumed by his profession, resulting in him losing the chance to lead a normal life
in which he could find contentment in himself and his relationships rather than his

All the things that he values are tied to his profession. He values the quality of the
work that he does and takes pride in accomplishing the tasks of his profession with
a high degree of effectiveness. This is shown in the episode where he kept on
working after his father s death, refusing to go up and see him, initially. The fact
that he didn t allow personal affairs to get in the way of his work is a point of great
pride for him and he counts that night as one of the triumphs of his career as a butler.
This shows that he has been so conditioned to put his occupation above everything,
how it has become his life and identity, and that his sense of identity is tied to his
work. One of the pursuits of Stevens life is to show dignity. In his opinion, it is the
quality that all butlers must show in order to be great. This is what motivates him
to devote his life to being a butler. Stevens spends several pages musing on the
criteria that should be met in order for a butler to be considered great, and this
shows how his thinking is bent toward this. The dignity that he shows in various
instances of his career are points of pride for him and define who he is as a person.
He reflects that, I should cease looking back so much...I should adopt a more
positive outlook and try to make the best of what remains of my day (244). Stevens
questions the meaning of his life, as it had always been defined by his professional
role as a servant. He comes to the realization that the way in which he found value in
only his work is shallow, and he resolves to change his mind set so that he will find
contentedness not only in his profession, but in his relationships with other

of The Little Ice Age began around 1600 and lasted until the 1800 s. During that
time in Europe is when it was at its height. It was considered to be the most
significant climate event of the last millennium. Only until recently have
climatologist discovered research of climate conditions in historical times. As stated
before, no one is quite sure how The Little Ice Age evolved. Climatologist and
historians have had many discussions on what they think was the main cause of the
ice age. Today they are able to determine the yearly average temperatures, rainfalls,
volcanic activity, and the effect of the sunduring that period . What we know is that
the sun experienced a quiet period, meaning its intensity was not that strong.
Therefore, a cooling occurred. Sunspots which determine the suns strength were

As the volcanoes erupted they shot out particles and gases into the air. With these
gases floating in the
41. The Agony Of Rejection From Friends, Family, Schools,
And...
By the time I was fourteen ... the nail in my wall would no longer support the
weight of the rejection slips impaled upon it. I replaced the nail with a spike and
kept on writing. This quote from Stephan King really hit me. The famous,
successful man that we all know for his works Carrie or The Shining , had once
been rejected. It s crazy to think that someone so successful had once been
struggling. Maybe I choose this quote because that s how I m feeling right now
and the quote gives me some sort of hope. Unsuccessful, down, rejected are a few
words to describe it. The agony of rejection from friends, family, schools, and jobs
all contribute. There s the pain of boys denying you at my age, or applying for a
job that you never hear back from. The constant pressure to fit in with groups of
girls in sororities and the fear they will judge you. The pressure of school and the
four tests coming up next week along with the everlasting point to make your
parents proud is a constant cycle in my life. These all are reasons that brought my
attention to Stephan King s quote. The thing is, he gives me hope for the future.
Hope. That s a strong word. It s not a promised outcome, or a permanent solution
but it is something. It is something to look forward to in the future and having a
better outcome then before. Stephan King may have been rejected from many
schools and many jobs, but he decided to push through and keep going and look
where is he is now. That s what I have been

hypertension and angina Pharmacologic Class: Calcium channel blocker.
ACTIONS AND USESNifedipine is CCB generally prescribed for HTN and variant
or vasospastic angina. It is occasionally used to treat Raynaud s phenomenon and
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Nifedipine acts by selectively bloking calcium
channels in myocardial and vascular smooth muscle, including those in the coronary
arteries. This results in less oxygen utilization by the heart, an increase in cardiac
output, and a fall in blood pressure. It is available as extended release tablets

43. The Triangle Shirtwaist Industry During The 19th Century
During the 19th century, the population of the United States was booming and the
Industrial Revolution was in full swing. American industry was growing faster than
any other nation in the world. Settlers from European territories flooded into the
country in hopes of a better life (Lambert). The United States was doing things that
had never been done before, and mistakes were made. The Triangle Shirtwaist
Factory was a horrific incident that demonstrated the need for factory regulations.
Many lessons can be learned from the factory, the fire, and the effect it had.
The Factory

Over 80,000 people attended (Greenhouse). New York responded to the fire and led
the nation in adopting safety standards. Some of the changes they made included:
fire drills in large companies, sprinkler systems in big buildings, and sturdy fire
escapes. Since then OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) was
created and work safety is made a priority.
[That day] is remembered as one of the most infamous incidents in American
industrial history, as the deaths were largely preventable most of the victims died as a
result of neglected safety features and locked doors within the factory building. The
tragedy brought widespread attention to the dangerous sweatshop conditions of
factories, and led to the development of a series of laws and regulations that better
protected the safety of workers. (Fire of 1911)
Conclusion
In summary, the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory was a grim fire that led to the
development of factory regulations. The condition of the factory, the fire, and what
was done to prevent history from repeating itself play important roles into the story.
Standards are now in place to protect the safety of workers, ensure fair treatment, and

44. Tradition of the Tamales
Tradition of the Tamales
Eating tamales when they first come out of the pot is a supernatural experience.
The steam rises, and the delightful aroma that make s my mouth water and my
vocal cords say yummy. The corn husk is holding the bundle of flavors. This bundle
has been stuffed with corn meal, and it s arsenal of chicken, savory meat, cheese and
whatever was in my momma s imagination. Like the vegetarian, or the sweet little
dessert tamales with cinnamon and raisins, pineapple and coconut. The spices and
variety of chilies gives the tamales delicious flavors and coloring. All the while they
are slowly cooking in the hot steam. Stabbing the fork in the center of the warm

Secondly, I would be ecstatic knowing that I could play outside in the sunny day
after helping with the feast. This creates memories of playing with my
neighborhood girl friends and terrorizing the neighborhood up and down the calm
streets. I remember going to the kitchen to grab two tamales at a time, but the two
pieces would have to be out of the center since that is where the warmest tamales
are collected. The tamales next to the edge of the pot were too cold for me so I
always left those pieces for my father and brothers. I would put my tamales on a
small plate, pour some salsa, and have a glass of cool aid and run into the living
room to watch weekend cartoons; or the boring soccer game if my dad had beat me
into the living room. I recall eating my tamales very slowly in mouse like bites in
order to savor each piece, each flavor. However, my cool aid would be gone in a
flash since the tamales had to be wash down, because often the salsa was too hot.
After I had eaten my tamales and chugged my cool aid. I would go to my room and
put my tennis shoes on. I then dashed outside so that my mother could help me tie
my hair. Next, I would go outside where I knew any number of my neighborhood
girl friends would already be playing in the streets. We would play all day long and
we would be jumping from one girl friends home to another until siesta time came.

45. King Lear by William Shakespeare
Blindness is a theme that we see throughout King Lear in many characters
including King Lear, Gloucester and Albany. Although blindness is a theme it is
also a psychological metaphor and can be defined as not having sight.2 Shakespeare
forces us to see that being blind is a mental flaw just as much as it is a physical flaw.
Lear is not only metaphorically blind but is also blind toward nastiness and loyalty .
We see Gloucester s blindness in more literal terms as he is literally blind but he can
still see, and Albany has a more common form of blindness, as he is blind to his wife.
These characters are only able to see after a tragic loss.
However the person in the play that is more significantly blind is King Lear. His role
was to distinguish between good and evil, but due to his in ability to see he is not
able to do just so. Lear s first encounter with blindness was at the beginning of the
play when he was fooled by his two older daughters lies and was not able to see the
true love that Cordelia had for him, resulting in King Lear banishing her from his
kingdom. As shown in the play for we have no such daughter, nor shall ever see that
face again. Therefore be gone without our grace, our love, our benison (1.1. 265
267).3
King Lear s blindness also lead to the banishing of Kent, because Kent saw the true
love Cordelia had for her father and was trying to protect her from his irrationality.
Kent then disguised himself and was hired as a servant by King Lear. This proves

show
critical evaluation about how this model is appropriate to value the company in
numerical
terms. Also, the report provides critical discussion for those variables which
influences the
valuation of company by using sensitivity analysis. In addition, it will compare the
actual
value of Balfour with SVA model estimated value and explain the reasons of
differences.
The second part of report is (b) to identify and evaluate critical issue facing the
company in

firm dividends but, not shareholder s value(Nguyen T.PowerPoint slides, day three

and difficult to predict as well as true comparable companies and market value might

is:
Discount Cash Flow (DCF) which is used for cash generating businesses according to
the
present value of expected cash flow on the asset. But, it might cause market
inefficiency
because it needs accurate price of asset based on it is life, cash flow, and discount rate

appropriate for potential investors.
Shareholder value analysis (SVA) model was developed by Alfred Rappaport in
1980. It is
one of shareholder tools which is used to illustrate the relationship between principals
and
managers through agency theory (Eisenhardt, 1989). Also, it measures historical
performance and explain the difference between actual and expected SVA
48. The Band Of The Rock Band Radiohead
On A Friday was the first name of the English Rock Band Radiohead. The
name On A Friday represented the day the members got together to practice. The band
members all met at the Abingdon School, a independent school for boys, in the town
of Abingdon, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. Thom Yorkelead vocals, guitar, piano
and
keyboards, Jonny Greenwood lead guitar, keyboards and other instruments,
Ed O Brien guitar and backing vocals, Colin Greenwood bass and Phil Selway
drums, percussion and backing vocals, formed the band in 1985. The band s songs are
classified in the categories of Art Rock, Alternative Rock, Electronica and
Experimental
Rock.
After years of doing local clubs and shows, On a Friday signed a six album
contract with EMI Records, a British record label, in 1991. At the request of the
record
label the band changed their name to Radiohead. Taken from the song Radio Head by
the Talking Heads from their album True Stories.
Radiohead released their first single in 1992 entitled Creep. The single was
from their debut album Pablo Honey in 1993. Creep became a worldwide hit
when the album was released.
Radiohead s second album The Bends, released in 1995, made them hugely
popular in the United Kingdom. When their third album was released in 1997, entitled
OK Computer, they became an international sensation. OK Computer has been
considered one of the best albums of all time.
In 2000, Radiohead released their fourth album
49. Man Ray Human Equation Essay
Introduction If you re thinking, Human Equations? Does that mean a bunch of people
got together and formed equations with their body? , you might want to pause and
think about how you got yourself in this situation. If you re thinking, Human
Equations! Weren t they done by famous photographer Man Ray? , you re on the
right track, but not quite there yet. Formally known as Shakespearean Equations, the
Human Equations are a series of paintings where artistic practice meets mathematical
puzzles, human bodies, and merciless romanticism of Shakespeare.
Man Ray s Human Equations are not arranged chronologically; but instead, follow a
structure similar to that of three acts in a play. It shows the full artistic range and
scope of Man Ray s work, from his juvenilia to his late production, and three
overarching themes focus on the material synergy between the works. 14 paintings

The viewer sees King Lear s famous tears speech depicted by means of a diluted
pigment dripping down the canvas and even suspects that this presumably
fortuitous effect provided inspiration for the choice of title (Duggin). You can see
Man Ray s affixing of the canvas to a large wooden hoop a geometric figure known
to mathematicians as a Kummer surface as the artist s attempt to turn the work into
a three dimensional object that, like so much of his work, defies easy
categorization and belies a common perception that his canvases from this series
were simply literal. In essence, Man Ray s King Lear shows off his mathematical
knowledge in the name of artistic independence, all, of course, while depending on a
Shakespearean allusion a paradox neatly holding together right before your eyes
(Duggin). As much as you try to solve the puzzle, the puzzle remains bigger and more
powerful than any single answer, making this exhibition both frustrating and
50. Drug Trafficking In Venezuela
Drug trafficking is a big global issue drugs are manufactured and then illegally
distributed all over the globe. The most common drugs being trafficked are cocaine
and opiates, and they tend to originate from South America and Asia. Back in 2016,
the Spanish Guardia Civil began an international investigation on a group they
suspected was trafficking drugs in sailboats. The investigators were able to intercept
one of these sailboats and found a false bottom that had 400kg (around 880 lbs) of
cocaine hidden. Continuing the investigation, the team found that those sailboats
were part of a bigger, two part operation of drugtrafficking and money laundering,
which was being overseen by a Spaniard hiding in Venezuela. The first part of the

51. The Importance Of Book Censorship On Books
Even though our world is getting more and more connected, censorship still
remains one of the top issues that separate people from reading books. Books are
the spreader of both bad and good knowledge and I believe that we should no
longer contain or ban books just because they are offensive to certain groups in
America. The debate on challenged books is a hot topic in America because the
country is founded on a basis of freedom of speech.
Many books have been challenged or censored during different places and time
periods. For example, the earliest book censorship in America was done by the
Puritans in the 1600s. Seven decades ago, the Nazi Regime censored and modified
The Bible in order to create a version that suited their ideologies. Today, 10 percent
of all books are removed from the public view ( 2016 Book ). Nearly ninety nine
percent of the books that are challenged are pulled, or essentially banned, from three
locations that need it the most: the public library, school, and school library ( 2016
Book ). These are the places where people obtain knowledge from and it would be
a loss to libraries to have a book removed from their shelves. Right now, the two
largest demographics that support censorship are parents and patrons ( 2016 Book ).
In the past, they have had an upper hand due to financial backing from patrons,
people or organizations that commit to a cause. These supporters believe that
censorship must exist to prevent harm towards readers. On the other
52. Hippocampal Shape Analysis
Many studies focus on the statistical analysis of volume measurements of the
hippocampus as for example for the study of Alzheimer s disease [6]. But such
studies do not capture the shape complexity of the structures observed in MRI.
Analyzing shapes of structures can provide a better understanding of the anatomical
variability of the brain, which is a very challenging problem since healthy brains have
a high variability, and it is important to understand the mechanisms, the
morphological changes and the impacts of diseases.
Predicting or classifying dementia based on hippocampal shape analysis is an
active field of research. In [7], Statistical Shape Models (SSMs) have been used to
model the variability in the hippocampal shapes among the population. In [8], they
characterize shape abnormalities of subcortical and ventricular structures as well as
the subregions of the hippocampus and the amygdala in subjects with MCI or AD
within framework of Large Deformation Diffeomorphic Metric (LDDMM). In [9]
they propose a template based analysis of anatomical variability in populations, also
in the framework of LDMM. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This method solves the correspondence problem by the alignment of the spherical
parametrization using a first order ellipsoid [10]. In [11], they propose a method to
automatically discriminate between patients with Alzheimer s disease (AD) or mild
cognitive impairment (MCI) and elderly controls, based on multidimensional
classification of hippocampal shape features. This approach uses spherical harmonics
(SPHARM) coefficients to model the shape of the hippocampi. However, as this
method establishes correspondence on simplified spherical models of surfaces, it is
restricted to surfaces with spherical topology and is computationally

South...
Evelyn Goh s paper on Hierarchical order in South East Asia aims to explain the
surprising peace and mutual co operation which grew out of South East Asia
following the post Cold War period. Her main argument is that it is the South East
Asian states themselves which created this peace and co operation through two broad
pathways : Omni enmeshment on a regional and inter state level and the creation of a
complex balance of influence. My main criticism with her argument is that the
current order in South East Asiahas yet to be challenged by a substantial security
crisis, leaving us questioning just how robust these pathways are. I also reference to
John Mearsheimer s paper on the false promise of international institutions to provide
further criticisms. Regardless, I found her analysis on how smaller states can create
the regional framework for peace compelling it runs counter to the two major streams
of IR thought (realism and liberalism) while explaining what they could not predict:
peace in South East Asia.
Omni enmeshment
Goh s first pathway is that South East Asian states have followed a policy she dubs
Omni enmeshment . By enmeshment, Goh means the process of engaging with a
state so as to draw it into deep involvement into international or regional society,
enveloping it in a web of sustained exchanges and relationships with the long term
aim of integration. In layman s terms, Goh is not talking simply about two states
agreeing to co operate on economic

56. Sound Waves Affecting The Brain s Perception Of Sound
The normal range that humans are able to hear from is 20 hz to 20kHz. The
average human can hear up to 20 hertz, After using the resources provided in
Physics class I discovered I can hear between 19hz and 20hz. I could sometimes hear
the 20hz but sometimes I could not. I am about average for the highest frequencyI
could hear. Soundis made of pressure waves which when they travel oscillate or
vibrate. Each wave travels at a certain frequency based on how much the sound
moves. Sound is created when air molecules are pushed in a certain direction causing
them to vibrate. This creates sound waves. Sound moves by vibrations and are
caused by compression or some form of pressure. The higher frequency at which the
wave oscillates the higher the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Based on the second resource in Physics, I could not district between frequencies
as well as I should. My issue was could tell there was a difference in pitch I just
could not tell if it was higher or lower once they got super similar to one another. The
biology behind it is that once a pitch has traveled through the ear and the cochlea has
transferred it to the brain, the arcuate fasciculus produces the process of
distinguishing which pitch is higher or lower than another. Some people can do this
better than others based on the way their brain works. But it is all pitch recognition
in your brain. Tiny sound waves inside your ear help you tune the pitch and pick up
sound waves. They take the sound waves and turn them into nerve signals causing the
brain to interpret sound. The enter form the outer ear and travel through the passage
of the ear canal. It then reaches the eardrum where the vibrations translate into the
sound we hear. It then goes to the cochlea, a snail shaped structure that contains fluid
in the ear. The sound causes the liquid inside to ripple. The wave goes across to the
basilar
58. Advantages Of Value Creation
1.Define value creation and the components that can be used to determine value
creation per unit. How is value creation related to competitive advantage?
The Value that the company can fix on a product, based on the customer expectation
on the product. i.e.
As the customer has some fixed value on the product based on the market value
comparing with other products in the market.
As the customers has good value of the product, the company has more pricing values.

an important role in an organization value chain.
3.What building blocks can an organization use to sustain competitive advantage?
To maintain the sustain competitive advantage an organization must have the
following characteristics:
Efficiency: To get the best output of the product the company has to maintain the
efficient inputs such as production, man power, investment, management, and IT
infrastructure.
Quality: As the output product has to maintain the superior quality and best customer
service of the product than the rivals, the output product must obtain from the
company must have best market value than other company products
Innovation: The organization has to maintain continues research and development on
the products of the company to obtain the best output.
Customer responsive: The organization has to provide best customer service to
customers, to gain best market
