headlines today are dealing with the domestic violence problem in the National
Football League. In the article written by Thomas Barrabi in the International

Adrian Peterson Abuse Cases , it addresses the discrepancies the NFL has displayed
throughout the years when it comes to disciplining the players involved in domestic
violence disputes. This article takes a look at the NFL s position on the crime of

Although the NFL is trying to change their involvement on domestic violence
issues, it is unclear at this time if they will follow through. The NFL and Goodell
continue to be under media scrutiny, especially since swift and proper action
against Rice did not happen until after the footage was released. They have changed
their policy to a six game suspension for a first offense, although offense is not
defined and is open for interpretation in the policy. There are still football players
who continue to play despite legal action against them in domestic violence disputes.
The article continues with pointing out the fact that the NFL cannot altogether end
the problem of domestic violence in the world today, but it can use the recent media
attention to bring awareness to the problem. Although the ways in which the NFL
handled these cases previously are questionable at best, there is potential to recover
from previous mistakes by continuing to hold their athletes accountable and

Norman Bowker arrived in Vietnam thinking that the amount of medals and awards a
man receives determines the amount of courage they have. But because of this
belief, Bowker has an emotional life due to the many atrocities he experienced in the
Vietnam War, and especially with Kiowa s death. These emotions that Bowker goes
through are not in the form of anger toward the world, but instead they are feelings of
self hatred and extreme survivor s guilt directed upon himself. After serving in the
VietnamWar, Bowker returns home and has trouble finding himself and
transitioning back into reality. He describes his life before the war, and also what
he saw and did in Vietnam. Bowker describes how he remembers driving around

Italian Neorealism, a movement that focused on the arts began in 19th century post
war Italy and became the repository of partisan hopes for social justice in the post

In the teleological argument, McCloskey argues to get proof going genuine
indisputable examples of design and purpose are needed (McCloskey, 1968).
McCloskey is basically stating in his argument that all examples must be
indisputable, or they have no ground to stand on. I disagree. Go back to the
beginning when we talked about the only thing that can actually be proven is
mathematics. Regardless of what you are trying to prove you must have multiple
pieces of evidence, but even then they might not be indisputable. I do not believe
anything is ever one hundred percent disputable. So, I don t believe that McCloskey
s argument is a very conclusive one. Let s look at an example.
Aquina s version of this argument is a great one. Aquina states that, whatever lacks
knowledge cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being
endowed with knowledge and intelligence (Evans Manis, 2009, p.78). So let s take
