White Elephants Symbolism
To compromise one must have an agreement or a settlement of a dispute that is reached by each side
making concessions. In Hills Like White Elephants the moral notion is that a young couple are having
to make decisions about rather they think they are going to be able to keep and maintain a baby or
rather have an abortion. In Hills Like White Elephants , Ernest Hemingway utilizes symbolism and
characterization to reveal the complexity communication and illustrate that one must the ability to
convey information to another effectively and efficiently. In Hills Like White Elephants , Ernest
Hemingway utilizes the symbolism of the white elephants and the railroad tracks to show the
indecisiveness and lack of communication in a relationship. The author compare the hills to the long
and white traits of an elephant in order to represent the difficulties of the existence of the
pregnancy. The hills across the valley of the Ebro were long and white.Hemingway further justifies
this notion by stating On this side there was no shade and no trees and the station was between two
lines of rails in the sun. In addition the two lines of rails that the station sits between are a symbol of
having to make a difficult decision in life causing conflict on which direction their relationship will go
if the abortion take place. The discussion puts The American in a weird place and make him very
fraught.Furthermore,Hemingway acknowledges that this building sits in the sun as a means to show
the issue of the pregnancy as being brought to light.Because the relationship is brought to the light it
causes more tension between them Jig and The American. By stating that there was no shade and no
trees Hemingway emphasizes the serious and necessary nature of the conversation between The
American and the girl. This statement also highlight the discussion of the baby is a hard thing to talk
about but is something that has to be discussed.By Hemingway expressing the seriousness between the
two characters, it gives Jig ambiguity about if he would agree on Jigs decision. Hemingway also
utilizes characterization of The American as an ascendant and Jig as a complaint to show the
complexity of communication in a relationship. In the beginning

Feedback Loop and Organizational Learning
The Excellent Consulting Group
Organizational learning is no doubt an important concern to organizational researchers and
practitioners. However, few theories or models of organizational learning have widespread
acceptance, even the basic concept of what organizational learning is (Fiol Lyles, 1985; Huber, 1991,
Kim, 1993).
Each learning cycle and process is to be treated as reorganizing feedback mechanism to achieve the
task s objectives. The technical view assumes that organizational learning is about the effective
processing, interpretation of, and response to, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They are also element of effective management.
Discussion
A feedback loop is a common and a great tool when designing a control system. Feedback loops take
the system output into consideration, which enables the system to adjust its performance to meet a
desired output response. System feedback loops constitute an essential part of the systems thinking
theory which allows viewing organization as a system. They are also connected to the theory of
organizational learning., which may occur within a loop. Organizational learning theory and
population ecology would suggest that rule making is subject to limited resources (e.g., unsolved
problems) which would be absorbed as the rule apparatus grows, leaving less resources for new rules
resulting in a negative effect of rule density on rule birth rates.
There are different feedback loops at Whole Foods Market, two of which will be discuss in this paper.
Identifying and having control of the reinforcing and balancing loops provides a company with an
advanced understanding of its internal processes and creates multiple learning opportunities that will
allow it to become more successful in the future.
Whole Foods Market reinforcing loops consists of the following elements:
1. The demand for organic foods
2. The profit earned
3. The number of stores that operate within the grocery chain
4. The customer awareness of healthy eating habits
The revenue and profit of the company depend directly

How Did Architecture Influence The Development Of Roman...
Writing Assignment Unit 7
HIST 1421 Greek and Roman Civilization
By Robert Wright
The Development of Roman Architecture Ancient Roman concrete is one of the greatest achievements
to architecture since the creation and shaping of limestone by the Egyptians when building the great
pyramids. Roman concrete structures today still stand after withstanding natures slow but powerful
degrading capacity. If you visit the Roman Pantheon, you would see, after all this time, that the
building still stands prominently and in near perfection to this day. Concrete was a major catalyst to
the innovation of Roman architecture. This essay seeks to explore more of the effects of Roman
concrete and how it influenced the majesty of Roman architecture. It ... Show more content on

When Rome began adopting Greek architecture and art (The three orders of architecture, Doric, Ionic,
and Corinthian) they began to make hybrid works that would represent the glory of the Roman empire
while maintaining the sophistication of the Greeks architect s prowess (Kamm, Antony. 2017).
However, Roman concrete was most widely used to construct roads for troops and to help faster
economic trade, as well as, being used commonly in buildings and walls. At about 120 124 the
Romans architectural mastery was so great that they could build the circular Pantheon temple, a
testament to the majesty of the Roman empire, and a place where the Romans could pray to their gods.
The Pantheon dome was created in a way where the concrete for the coffered dome was poured in
molds and mounted on temporary scaffolding where the center, known as the oculus, would be open
for the public to see the light or night of day, and stand as a testament to the capabilities the Roman
architects could

Stanley Milgram’s Behavioral Study of Obedience Essay
The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable
opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum.... ― Noam Chomsky, The Common Good
Disobedience is the true foundation of liberty. The obedient must be slaves. ― Henry David Thoreau
In the early 1960 s Stanley Milgram (1963) performed an experiment titled Behavioral Study of
Obedience to measure compliance levels of test subjects prompted to administer punishment to
learners. The experiment had surprising results. Purpose of the research. Stanley Milgram s (1963),

The subjects were informed that the punishment would not cause permanent tissue damage, however,
could be extremely painful. The subjects observed the learner/accomplice being prepared with
electrodes strapped in a chair. The teacher/subjects read a series of word pairs to the learner then read
the first word of the pair along with four terms. The learner s role was to pair the first word with the
correct term (Milgram, 1963). The learner would then press one of four switches attached to an
electrical shock generator indicating his response. Unknown to the teacher, in all conditions the
learner gives a predetermined set of responses to the word pair test, based on the schedule of
approximately three wrong answers to one correct answer (Milgram, 1963). To authenticate the
potential electrical intensity to the learner the teacher is sampled with a 45 volt shock to the wrist. The
teacher is then instructed to administer an incrementally increasing punishing electrical shock for each
incorrect answer. This follows several methods to inform the teacher of the potential impact of the
electrical shock that they will administer. These included, warnings listing the voltage range of 15 to

Positive Impact Of Afforestation Essay
Science
Impact of Afforestation
Introduction:
What is Deforestation? Deforestation is the process of human cutting down trees and destroying the
habitats of animals and lives. People would certainly think that deforestation would not be something
good for the environment, and afforestation would cause a positive impact on the environment. Well,
most people have his perspective like that. The scientist had found proofs that afforestation has the
negative impact on the habitats of animals and the whole environment. But how this kind of activity
would harm people and animals?
Environment: How do people and animals live? Well, they would need to depend on some biotic and
abiotic factors. Water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc. One of them is Oxygen, oxygen is one of the
factors that would have a big impact on human and animals. No oxygen, no us. Afforestation is one of
the ways to maintain oxygen from all those environmental problems we are right now facing on this
planet. Plants are producers, they use sunlight and carbon to do a process called photosynthesis. When
plants do this photosynthesis, they produce oxygen out. Trees are one of the producers that use
photosynthesis and brings oxygen to us. This is one of the benefits from afforestation, but does this
proofs that afforestation does more things that got positive impact?
During this couple of century, people had been giving the goal of afforestation. Although people still
had achieved some bits of the goal,

Into The Wild Chris Mccandless Relationship Analysis
Relationships between people can change lives forever. For instance, a parent and child s relationship
are one of the most important ones because that is where our consciousness about love, trust and
assurance comes from. Depending on the relationship, it can either benefit or suffer a child. Since little
children always look up to their parents and learn from them. So the actions done by their parents can
affect the child s life later in the years. This scenario can be reflected in the book Into the Wild, the
character Chris McCandless. Chris McCandless parent s outside appearance was wanting Chris to go
to school and be successful. Meanwhile, in the inside appearance, especially the dad, was an abusive
father. This reflected a double life.

Monsanto, Agent of Change. Things have been changing quickly in our world. GMOs have developed
at an alarming pace, and are now being credited with being able to save millions from starvation.
Seeds can be patented, when only a few years ago there were only public seed. The atomic bomb has
been created and improved, and has the potency to wipe out all the life on our delicate planet. All
these inventions and more can be attributed, in some way or another, to a chemical company called
Monsanto. The Monsanto Company is an institution whose impact in the areas of chemicals and food
has become a massive game changer, but is also causing potentially dangerous side effects and
consequences. The Monsanto Company was originally a strictly chemical company. John Queeny
founded the company, using his wife s maiden name, Monsanto . In 1940 the company created its first
highly controversial chemical Agent Orange and the company s popularity exploded. (Mahtani) Agent
Orange is an herbicide that Monsanto created and it was first used in the Vietnam War. US airplanes,
helicopters, boats, trucks, and manual sprayers poured this toxic chemical into the opponent s forests
and jungles, causing the leaves and plants to wither away and no longer hide guerilla fighters. The US
Military also sprayed enemy fields, lowering their food supply, and any area that might provide cover
for enemy fighters. Robert D. Engelken, in the

scope of MIE s Microsoft Dynamics SL implementation in phase 1 enables the creation of the
Business Blueprint which is a detailed record of MIE s requirements presented in WinWord format.
The second phase of the project included tasks like outlining new policies procedure, reviewing
information flow, developing prototype of modules and defining external system interface. Therefore
the expected deliverables of this phase includes definite business process, report requirement, the
support of finance and staff work, customization requirement, new policies procedures, and system
interface process booking. The projects basic structures were identified in this stage and Integrated
Program Management (IPM) which would finally cover the whole business was also implemented for
research and development (Boltena Gomez, 2012). C. Phase 3: Environment Development The
physical adoption of the system and its architecture, and also the evolving working practices within
the company were the focus of this stage. The stage was too large to implement in one go, and it was
thus split internally into two waves . The first wave focused on the replacement of legacy systems, and
the Shop Floor Data Management (SFDM) which was a new manufacturing execution system was
introduced. A Microsoft Dynamics SL pilot project at one of MIE facility served as the definitive
conclusion of wave one. The pilot

Quantitative And Qualitative
With qualitative and quantitative most psychological researchers use both types of methods. In
particular, qualitative methods are widely used as exploratory methods; then the results of qualitative
analysis are used to design quantitative research. What is the difference between quantitative and
qualitative research? In this essay I will go into more detail on these two forms of research looking at
the definition, strengths, limitations and key features of each research method.
Qualitative research focuses on gathering of mainly verbal data rather than measurements. The
gathered information is then analyzed in an interpretative or subjective manner. The primary aim of a
qualitative research is to provide a complete, detailed description of the research topic. It is usually
more exploratory in nature.
Qualitative research is multi method in focus, involving an interpretive, ... Show more content on

This allows the researcher to find issues that are often missed (such as subtleties and complexities) by
the scientific, more positivistic enquiries. Qualitative descriptions can play the important role of
suggesting possible relationships, causes, effects and dynamic processes. Qualitative analysis allows
for ambiguities and also contradictions in the data, which is a reflection of social reality. Qualitative
research uses a descriptive, narrative style, this research might be of particular benefit to the
practitioner as she or he could turn to qualitative reports in order to examine forms of knowledge that
might otherwise be unavailable, thereby gaining new insight. Qualitative research see s people as
individuals, attempting to gather their subjective experience of an event. This can provide a unique
insider view of the research question through the qualitative approach, which is less structured than a
quantitative approach, unexpected results and insights, can

The question of sexual identity is asked to many professional athletes when they are first diagnosed
with HIV or tested positive for the AIDS virus. Magic Johnson is a five time championship winner
with the Los Angeles Lakers, awarded MVP three times, and played amongst the first nine Olympic
All Star teams (Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame). Despite these great achievements in his
life, his contact with the HIV virus caused him to face much discrimination. Although Johnson s
source of the virus has been unknown, many people have misconceptions of AIDS as an exclusively
gay disease and thought that Magic was homosexual because of his positive test (Stewart). During an

While Magic continues to be healthy, public sentiment will be overwhelmingly on his side, but some
AIDS activists worry that when he gets sicker, that support may fade (Stewart). In Kantrowitz s article
Larry Kramer states, When his body becomes skin and bones and pus and runny sores, there won t be
so many people running to embrace him . Due to his good health and admitting to the disease early,
this prevented him from the harsh discrimination others have faced. Racism also may be a factor when
the disease progresses for Johnson. Black men are faced with discrimination everyday and looked
upon as criminals and drug addicts (Kantrowitz). Once you add the stigma of AIDS a black man with
AIDS is treated like garbage quot; (Kantrowitz). As Johnson s disease progresses one can expect the
same alienation and cruel discrimination as other less famous people.
A similar event that has recently taken place is the accusation of homosexuality towards Mike Piazza
for the New York Mets. Mike Piazza is not HIV positive nor does he have AIDS, but when a New
York Post s gossip columns ran an item in late May suggesting that a major league baseball player
whom it did not name is ready to come out all eyes turned to Piazza (Meers). Suspicion of his
sexuality began when he once stated, In this day and age, [sexual orientation is] irrelevant, I don t

The Internal And Economic Causes Of The Fall Of Rome
Many seem to see the fall of Rome as a single event that suddenly occurred all at once, with one date
marking the collapse of the empire. However, the fall of Rome wasn t a clear cut event. It was long,
drawn out over several centuries, with many causes that, together, proved disastrous for the empire.
The fall was most likely caused by a combination of internal and external issues, most notably
economic collapse, corruption, the rise of Christianity, and attacks by barbarians (Squires). There were
several factors contributing to the economic collapse of Rome. The first was lavish spending.
Emperors and other nobility became known for spending extravagant amounts of money on lavish
parties where guests drank and ate until they became sick. Many also spent money on prostitutes of
which there were many and entertainment at the Colosseum. Another economic issue was the rise of
unemployment. Slavery made it easy to grow a lot of food very cheaply for some. For those who didn
t have slaves, it was nearly impossible to compete, meaning that only the richest farmers could afford
to farm. Over time, the rest all became unemployed. The third economic reason for the fall of Rome
was inflation that began after Marcus Aurelius. Rome was no longer conquering new lands, reducing
the amount of money entering the empire. The price of goods began rising higher and higher, until
gold became meaningless and Romans returned to a system of bartering to pay for goods and services.

work around his schedule with school and work since he was involved in sports too Then, the next
thing he probably had to do is decide on what he wanted to major in college. However, in his case he
had to decide to either focus more in wrestling or acting. Johnson probably had to decide what

The Dining Room Was Absolutely Silent
The dining room was absolutely silent, only the sounds of chewing and silverware clatter were
audible. The tension was thick enough to run a knife through, it made no sense why it had gotten this
bad. The mother of the family, Else, sat in the right end of the table, her husband, Carter, in the other
end. Their five children sat in the sides of the table. The smallest of the five, Evelyn, who is eleven

was one of the twins, Isaac, who is 13. Across were the final siblings, Louis, the oldest of the five, and
the remaining twin, Isaiah. Their dog sat a few meters away from them, waiting anxiously for his
share of food. Evelyn thought nothing of the whole silence thing, it was frequent at dinner time,
especially after his bigger brother had a secret to share with their parents. She didn t know what it was,
but she guessed it was bad. The twins had a better idea of what might have upset their parents and the
oldest brothers a lot. They remember Lester bringing a boy one particular night, and let s just say, it
ended in a frightful scream and a big fight between the older boys and their parents. The three siblings
shared a few looks, they were all clueless of what was stirring with the elders. Ever so often, the three

Three Major Causes of Soil Erosion and How They Can Be...
Introduction
Soil erosion is one form of soil degradation along with soil compaction, low organic matter, loss of
soil structure, poor internal drainage, salinisation, and soil acidity problems. These other forms of soil
degradation, serious in themselves, usually contribute to accelerated soil erosion.
Soil erosion is a naturally occurring process on all land. The agents of soil erosion are water and wind,
each contributing a significant amount of soil loss each year in Ontario.
Soil erosion may be a slow process that continues relatively unnoticed, or it may occur at an alarming
rate causing serious loss of topsoil. The loss of soil from farmland may be reflected in reduced crop
production potential, lower surface water quality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Plant and residue cover protects the soil from raindrop impact and splash, tends to slow down the
movement of surface runoff and allows excess surface water to infiltrate.
The erosion reducing effectiveness of plant and/or residue covers depends on the type, extent and
quantity of cover. Vegetation and residue combinations that completely cover the soil, and which
intercept all falling raindrops at and close to the surface and the most efficient in controlling soil (e.g.
forests, permanent grasses ). Partially incorporated residues and residual roots are also important as
these provide channels that allow surface water to move into the soil.
The effectiveness of any crop, management system or protective cover also depends on how much
protection is available at various periods during the year, relative to the amount of erosive rainfall that
falls during these periods. In this respect, crops which provide a food, protective cover for a major
portion of the year (for example, alfalfa or winter cover crops) can reduce erosion much more than can
crops which leave the soil bare for a longer period of time (e.g. row crops) and particularly during
periods of high erosive rainfall (spring and summer). However, most of the erosion on annual row
crop land can be reduced by leaving a residue cover greater than 30% after harvest and over the winter
months, or by inter seeding a forage crop (e.g. red

Using 3d Printing Have Come Into The World Of Technology
Recently there have been various articles on interesting things that have been made through printing.
And in particular, objects created through the use of 3D printing have come into the world of
technology. The reason I believe that this technological trend is interesting because the objects that are
being printed here are microscopic. When created, these materials would be used to make essential
things like biological tissue. With all the medical issues that impact our world today, any new
innovation that seem to create another medical alternative seems like a great idea. This is an example
of technology that affects others because later on it can provide those without medical options another

The beginning of 3D printing started in the 1980 s by an American inventor named Charles Hull
(Glass Ponsford,2014). What makes this trend new and relevant to past 4 years is the ability to
integrate various different materials to make microscopic materials. Examples of possibilities that
have come about because this micro technology include heart stents, microneedles for painless shots,
gecko adhesives, parts for microfluidics chips, and scaffolds for growing cells and tissue (Patel, 2013).
These ideas could provide a lot of the medical world in terms of treatment.
Recently the newest section of 3D printing, microscale printing, has made waves in the technological

Ignorance In Two-Handed Swords
Are two handed swords as fictionally viable as people say? When many think of a two handed sword,
they think of an overweight behemoth usually only seen in tv shows, movies, and video games. This
association, though not unreasonable, is not fair to the credit of actually used historical two handed
swords. It s apparent that some don t know how they fit in in a historical sense. Ignorance is further
spread when ceremonial and decorative two handers are mistaken for the real thing. Although, they are
probably most misrepresented in video games and anime/manga. When the term two handed sword is
used in this paper, it s referring to a few different types of swords. In this paper, it will be referring to

From what I ve read, there are even numerous museums that put ceremonial two handers on display
and do not specify that they were not meant for use. I actually had the chance see a decorative two
handed sword recently. After giving it a few swings and testing the weight, it seemed as though it was
supposed to be imitating a type of bastard sword, or hand and a half sword. This assumption was
somewhat accurate. After some research, it was discovered to be a replica of the sword used by
William Wallace in the movie Braveheart. However, this does not make it historically accurate, as the
sword from Braveheart is a historically inaccurate replica of the actual sword that was used by the real
William Wallace. The sword from Braveheart has a basic flat crossguard and leather covering about a
fifth of the blade from the hilt. The historical sword used by William Wallace has a crossguard that
ends curling up and inwards toward the blade and no actual leather covering the blade. This is
confirmed further in the article The Scottish Claymore

Rascal Flatts Identity
In the memorable way that country band Rascal Flatts puts it, Life s like a road that you travel on,
there s one day here and the next day gone. Life Is a Highway. As we all know, there s an entrance and
an exit point to every highway. Much like a highway, our lives have a beginning and an end. Similarly,
the structure of the letter I has a start and a finish. At a closer glance the alphabet holds more purpose
than for just simply reading and writing. Perhaps simplistic letters hold an unknown truth about the
world around us.
Who am I? Who are you? As a person, we are labeled by our identity. According to
Dictionary.reference.com the word identity is defined as condition or character as to who a person or
what a thing is. Distinctive traits give personality to individuals. As people living in society, we tend
to leave a trail or a legacy of who we are behind us. There is a paradoxical nature to one s ... Show

Ignorance. Lack of knowledge or information. A negative attitude about another race or religion is an
example of ignorance. Let that also rest.
Adolf Hitler s selfish and ignorant way of thinking led to a series of mass destruction, war, and grief.
War and grief suggests injustice. So does poverty, starvation, racism, and abuse. Although the United
States of America is one of the wealthiest countries in the world, one in five children in the U.S. live
in poverty (Americas Homeless 2:49). This branches off into economic injustice. Living in poverty is
not necessary, not innate, nor is it desirable.

The Man Store We have put our heads together and come up with a store idea and strategy that we
believe has the opportunity to grow and thrive. The idea is totally unique, not only to San Angelo, but
to most of the country as well. We will look at several factors vital to setting up the store as effectively
as possible. The parts we will focus on include the following: situation analysis, objectives,
identifying customers, competitive advantages, the overall strategy. We will also define and consider
the uncontrollable factors that effect any retail company. Situation Analysis Mission Statement: Our

Battle Between Snail Darter Fish and the Telico Dam Essay
The snail darter case can be a little ridiculous. Its between the 3 inch snail darter fish and then whether
to build the Tellico dam. The main eye attention to this argument is whether we should let the snail
darter fish live or not. If we build the Tellico dam to snail darters will die. On the other hand its a big
deal because the snail darters are on the endangered species list. In my opinion I m on the snail darter
fish side because I think the fish should live. The cost to build the dam is eighty million dollars. To me

Tellico Dam serves to divert water through a short canal into Fort Loudon. This dam being built is
very good for trout and bass fishing. In the 1950 s thousands of dams were being built then in 1970 s
they decided to build a dam. In the Little Tennessee River. Its length was 3,238 feet its height was 129
feet. Total capacity is 467,600 acre feet, the surface area is 14,200 acres.
Another thing is the Endangered Species Act it is a very important part of this argument it is the main
problem of why the Tellico dam had to stop the process of building it for a while. Basically, the
Endangered Species Act is one of the dozens of United States environmental laws passed in the 1970

Endangered Species Act is an act to provide safety of the endangered and threatened species of fish,
wildlife, and plants, and for other purposes. My opinion too is that I think it is an amazing to have this
if we didn t have this some of our animals would be dead. Its great to know we still have people out
there who worship and care for all species of animals.
One of the reasons to keep the Snail Darters is because I care for all living things I really don t think

The Movie Slaughter House Five

ENC 1102
April 14, 2015
The Reality of Warfare During February 1945, World War II had long begun, affecting millions of
people throughout the entire world. Disease and famine were faced by both civilians and soldiers, and
the casualties were about 80 million. Kurt Vonnegut s Slaughter House Five mostly takes place during
the war, specifically during the time of the infamous Dresden bombing. The main character, Billy
Pilgrim, is an American soldier who lived to tell, and was present during, the bombing. It is through
Billy Pilgrim s personal story that Vonnegut thoroughly reveals the harshness of war and its long term
effects. Typically the reaction people exhibit after hearing about a death is ... Show more content on

He makes the harsh idea that death really is, sound like it s inevitable, and so there is no reason to
mourn. Just like death, war is also harsh. The tone most people have when speaking about war, is the
same tone Billy has regarding deaths. They disregard so many important things that come with war,
the millions of dollars spent, the tragic amount of deaths and most deaths being civilians who are
completely innocent. They speak like if war were inevitable and there was nothing anyone could do
about it. In the novel, Vonnegut gives an example, What he meant, of course, was that there would
always be wars, that they were as easy to stop as glaciers. (Vonnegut 3). Although this is true, it does
not take away from the harsh reality that war really is. What is very ironic is the fact that Billy Pilgrim
s harsh mentality about deaths is so easily noticed, yet people have not yet noticed the harshness that
war really is, and in reality; war and death go hand in hand. Vonnegut uses so it goes in a way to
almost mimic the majority of the population who are so oblivious to what war really is. The entire
point of the book is to bring attention to how harsh war genuinely is, and that is why the words are so
constantly being repeated, so that people make the connection that war brings death, and since death is
harsh, so is war. Today video games about war make millions

Julius Caesar- Rise to Prominence
Julius Caesar s rise to prominence up until 60BC transpired due to a number of factors. The first of
these being his family background and Marian connections, which at varying stages of his life were
both a help and a hindrance. We can also note that most of his marriages were used to gain political
and financial resources accentuating his connections to powerful families and individuals. This rise to
prominence can also be attributed to Caesar s opportunistic nature and vast ambitions coupled with his
education and specialised tuition in the art of rhetoric, skills essential to gain popularity and political

Research Paper On Guerrilla Marketing
As competitiveness between companies nowadays is every time more and more extended, brands need
to search for ways to make it stand out among the others. Guerilla marketing is one example of this
standing out goal.
Guerrilla marketing was originally a marketing strategy in which low cost, unconventional means
were used in a localized fashion to draw attention to an idea, product, or service. Today, guerrilla
marketing may also include promotion through a network of individuals, groups, or organizations
working to popularize a product or idea by use of such strategies as flash mobs, viral marketing
campaigns, or internet marketing.
The term guerrilla marketing is traced to guerrilla warfare, which employs atypical tactics to achieve
an objective.
Guerrilla marketing was initially used by small and medium sized businesses, but it is increasingly
being adopted by big business. This concept rises from a promotion that relies on imagination rather
than a big budget.

Economic Viability Of The Slave Trade System
How Did Economic Viability of The Slave Trade System in relation to The Productivity of Slave
Agriculture Change over Time? The transatlantic slave trade which took place during the mid
seventeenth century until the late eighteenth century is observed as one of the largest forced
migrations (Lewis, et Al., 2009, 2). The discovery of the America s pursued by European nations led
to the uncovering of significant luxury goods and precious metals such as sugar, coffee, and gold
(Eltis, 2008, 1). The slave trade resulted in African slaves that were trafficked from Africa to the
America s to be used as labor supply to mass produce these goods on plantations set up along the
coast. These luxury products in its primary form were produced at these plantations and were
transported back to Europe to satisfy the high demand for luxury goods (Eltis, 2008, 4). Over the
period where the transatlantic slave trade was active, the relationship between the economic viability
of the slave trade system and the agricultural productivity of slaves offset each other and move with
each other. The research presented has demonstrated that mortality rates of slaves and transportation
costs affected the economic viability to sustain the slave trade which would then affect agricultural
slave productivity on the plantations within the Caribbean. What has been examined throughout the
research findings conveys the idea that in the beginning of the slave trade, high transportation costs
and high mortality

graphic designer in between fishing seasons. None of the three women are depicted as weak or
hysterical during the storm. In contrast, it is Ray Leonard, the captain on the ship with Stimpson and
Bylander that falls apart during the crisis. Greenlaw, Stimpson, and Bylander are strong and capable of
taking care of themselves. I found Jungers reverse sexism unique since he makes some men out to be
weak in the face of conflict. This could be for two reasons. One, he was trying to keep the novel as
truthful and factual as possible. Secondly, from his experiences, women are strong and diligent and
wanted to depict them as such in his writing.
The book is littered with explanations about fishing. I admit that I frequently got lost in these
passages. This knowledge is an important element of the story. When a component of the boat
malfunctions, readers know the significance of this to the sailors. Without this, the book would have
provided a message that only other sailors could understand. Junger, by supplying this information,
wants to make sure that all readers can fully grasp the danger and suspense of the book.
It makes one wonder about these tough, resourceful and experienced sailors, and their judgment for
being out fishing in this weather, at that late time of year, when

before and after that stage, it isn t true generally, just Truman s lasted a little while longer. So how
does questioning to truth relate to modern society?
The director (Peter Weir) has many views about modern day society that he is trying to convey in The
Truman Show though two were stand outs. The first will focus on is that we will never have the whole
truth. It is impossible because of the amount of people that lie and bring deceit. Also, the world and
media tries the hide things from us that degrade the higher society or itself in our eyes. It might cause
a backlash like from the people, like in The Truman show when Christof said Listen to me, Truman.
There s no more truth out there than there is in the world that I created for you. Same lies. The same
deceit. But in my world, you have nothing to fear. I know you better than you know yourself.
Subsequently, when Truman said You never had a camera in my head. From these two quotes show
that you can t know everything about a person just buy watching them their whole life. So in turn,
means that not the whole truth can be found. Also that Christof is trying to protect him from the real

As the presidential race rages on, Donald Trump has lashed out against a fellow republican candidate
who was seemingly slated early on as a potential vice president running mate. Instead, Trump has

Segment Reporting And Information Disclosure

Segment reporting is the disaggregation of a reporting entity s financial reports into segments. This
paper investigates whether segment reporting is worthwhile and whether the requirements of the new
segment reporting standard (IFRS 8) have had an impact on the way companies disclose segment
information.
Significance of Segment Reporting
Segment reporting is integral to the process of investment analysis and there is a common agreement
among financial analysts that such information is essential to their work. Previous literature has found
that segment information disclosure can increase security valuation and can make future earnings

However, in 1968 more than 50% of the mergers comprised of firms from different lines of business.
Therefore, financial reporting problems from unrelated business mergers resulted in criticism from
investors and the only solution was segmental disclosure. There is no doubt that segment reporting is a
contentious issue: the nature of the information disclosed seems to be commercially sensitive. The
significance of segment information, however, cannot be denied. Whether or not segmental reporting
is worthwhile is a question (a theoretical issue) that can be resolved logically. For an objective answer,
we should consider the advantages and disadvantages of segment reporting. Consolidated financial
statements offer a comprehensive view of entity s financial performance. Such aggregation process
leads to information loss. It also can t reveal profitable or unprofitable subsidiaries and divisions
which can be considered high risk owing to excessive debt levels can also escape attention. Thus,
segment disclosures enable a more informed assessment of performance and associated risks of an
organization i.e. it is in the best interests of the investors because they use such information to allocate
their resources efficiently. Segment reporting is also a good sign of managerial stewardship. Two
factors which support this are, first, bad investment decisions will be emphasized and secondly,
segment s results

The Meaning Of Longevity
Longevity by definition means a long duration of an individuals life or the length of ones life.
Longevity can also mean thinking about means of extending and prolonging a human life as well as
living it healthy. Everyone wants to live a long and happy life. As we all grow older we try to find
methods that will prolong our lives we tend to look into changing our life style, changing our diet,

Longevity has been thought about and sought after for centuries. It has been in the storytelling
community for as long as we have recorded and documented stories. From science fiction and utopian

William and Hathorne represent Arthur Miller, Joseph McCarthy, and J.Edgar Hoover. Events like the

topic/thesis sentences. Generally, at the beginning of each section or subsection, you should have an
umbrella/roadmap paragraph to explain what is to come. That way a reader really understanding
where you are going and how things fit together. Same with topic/thesis sentences. From a structural
point of view, your background may end up being a bit long. You want your background to be shorter
than your analysis section. At your current fourteen pages, you may want to watch out for the
background section overshadowing the analysis section. I think there is some room to cut, but you are
going to have to figure out what it ends up being important to your thesis, and what is noise that is
only related to your thesis.
3. Background: I think you are off to a good start with your background section. I would consider
providing more organization or context for the section on the PLCAA. As

Enter Hypocrites, Phone Geeks
Prelude...
Ever since a young age, I have been astounded by the lack of sincerity and common since that others
lack. With technology growing rapidly each day, people have evolved into lazy, ignorant, lackadaisical
human beings. As I have grown into a young adult in modern society, I have experienced multiple
events that have made me want to pull my hair out. It doesn t take much to get under my skin, but
some of these events are excruciating and would annoy any other person with a common since.
Hypocrites, phone geeks, and other persons are what annoy me worse. I have always wondered how
somebody can act in such of these ways without receiving any kind of punishment or ill treatment. It
wasn t long until all of these questions I had been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I felt the wind rapidly pick up and I felt the temperature go up vastly as we approached the final gate.
Enter Hypocrites. This sign said. My body began to fuel with hatred and numerous emotions. There is
nothing on this life I despise more then people who do what they say they are against. As we entered
the final gate, I was highly amused at what was before me. The people in this circle had the body of a
bull, and a human head with their mouths sewn shut. They galloped around in a pit with very little
space and they were covered in feces. I figured the mouths were seen shut because of how these
people wasted their words and lied all throughout their lives. They had the body of a bull, well,
because they were full of bull shit obviously. Of all of the famous people I witnessed in this circle,
none stuck out to me more than Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau s reputation is remembered as one
who was a great environmentalist in our world we live in, but down here it is a completely different
story. When he was alive, he criticized people were disrespecting nature. He once set fire to a forest,
nearly burning half of it down. To make matters worse, he worked in a pencil factory which required
logging and trees to be cut down. He also claimed to be a self reliant human being, where this was
completely false. He lived on land owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and his mother did his own
laundry. I was highly amused to see his bull shit finally come full

The Endothelial Phlexus
Irrespective of the differences between species, the endothelial plexus, as described above, is formed
at the same time within the cardiac region and within the embryo, ensuring the presence of a
circulatory system. In the cardiac region, this creates the primary endocardial tube of the heart. The
endocardial cells forming the tube come from both sides of the developing embryo and, as they form a
lumen, are enveloped by myocardial cells, all this occurring within the newly formed pericardial
cavity. The myocardium at this stage, however, does not completely surround the endothelial tube.
Instead, it retains, in its dorsal aspect, continuity with the splanchnic mesoderm of the developing
mediastinum, through the structure known as the dorsal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because of its close relationship with the supporting structure of the right aortic leaflet, this VSD is
often complicated by aortic regurgitation. It is interesting to note that the location of this defect
indicates the midline of the conal septum and illustrates the contribution of this (conal) structure to the
closing of the ventricular (anatomically defined) septum. 3) AV canal defects (VSD type IIIY4 are the
most complex VSDs; they involve not only a lack of separation of the ventricular cavities, but also
some variable defects of AV valves. The variants range from the isolated cleft of the septal leaflets to a
common AV valve with varying degrees of attachment to the ventricular septum and shortening of the
height of the ventricular septum. Occasionally, subaortic stenosis is also associated with an AV canal
defect. It is important to note that this VSD is caused by a failure of the uppermost component of the
ventricular septum to develop below the septal leaflets of the AV valves, most likely because of a lack
in the medial AV cushions. Similar to the type II VSD, the membranous septum is never present in
these cases (these defects include a component of the type

Torres Strait Islander People
The term Indigenous is generally used when referring to both First Nations people of Australia
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. (Aboriginal Services Branch , 2009) the term Aboriginal
and Torres Strait Islander people is preferred in Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW)
publications however, the term Indigenous is used interchangeably with Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander people in the essay.
The evidence of existence of the civilization in Australian main land and nearby islands has been
traced of some 44000 years ago. It is generally believed that the aboriginal people are the descendants
of a single migration into the continent, a people that split from the first modern human population to
leave Africa 64,000 to 75,000 years ago. Today s indigenous Australian are mainly the migrants of
Africa, southern Asian countries, genetically some indigenous Australian are closely related to central
and south Asian population.
In 2014, number of Aboriginal and Torres Islander people in Australia was about 713,600 which
accounts for 3% of the total population. This number was 63,700 in 2011 and it was found that
majority of the indigenous Australians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the 2012 2013 Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health survey (AATSIHS) 13%
indigenous people reported for CVD. 4% had some form of heart or vascular disease; 6% reported for
high blood pressure issues. Indigenous women have more issues of CVD than indigenous men. In
comparison non indigenous people living in remote areas, indigenous people living in non remote

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud Summary
I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud William Wordsworth Summary: This poem has Beautiful Imagery, I
believe it is describing someone daydreaming, and dreaming about rolling hills of flowing flowers and
sparkling stars. Quotation: For oft, on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon
that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; Significance of Quote: This part of the poem represents
the Poet relaxing, taking a step away from his world and living in another. Reflection: I really identify
with this poem, I as a person tend to daydream a lot (never in H English) and can appreciate the
beauty this poem describes. This poem uses great imagery such as personification that has me almost
believing the Daffodils are dancing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Marquis is stabbed later in the chapter. Marquis also turns out to be Darnay s uncle who happens to
visit him later on. Quotation: Even in my father s time, we did a world of wrong, injuring every
human creature who came between us and our pleasure, whatever it was. Significance of Quote:
Darnay says this and it is describing what the upper class aristocrats were like during this time. They
did not see others as beings as important as themselves, they were greedy, and selfish. However his
uncle has very little interest in this. Reflection: I do not like Marquis, he is cold. I love making friends
in real life, but I would not like to become friend with him. First of all, he RAN OVER A CHILD, that
s kinda ridiculous. He is merciless and cares not for anyone except himself. Even his own flesh and
blood nephew doesn t have a place near his heart as he disagrees with their placement as nobles. I get
the whole strong prey on the weak deal, however that doesn t have to be taken when humanity and
cognitive process takes place, it is as though he just does not care. Discussion Question: What could
have caused someone such as Marquis to be so terrible? 11/23 Tale of Two Cities Chapters

What Was Oedipus s Downfall
Oedipus has had a continuous downfall since the beginning of his life. It is not until the Messenger
from Corinth visits, the Shepherd that gave Oedipus to his adoptive parents is questioned, and the
acknowledgment of who he is that Oedipus s downfall really begins. Oedipus fell from a King that
everyone respected and loved to a murderer of his father and a husband to his mother (Scene 4.1118
1123). His downfall was not just his reputation being ruined amongst his people, but his mental and
physical well being ruined as well. Oedipus is described as not being himself and Hunting the wife
who was not his wife, the mother/Whose womb had carried his own children and himself/I do not

In Hills Like White Elephants , Ernest Hemingway utilizes the symbolism of the white elephants and the railroad tracks to show the indecisiveness and lack of communication in a relationship. The author compare the hills to the long and white traits of an elephant in order to represent the difficulties of the existence of the pregnancy. The hills across the valley of the Ebro were long and white.Hemingway further justifies this notion by stating On this side there was no shade and no trees and the station was between two lines of rails in the sun. In addition the two lines of rails that the station sits between are a symbol of having to make a difficult decision in life causing conflict on which direction their relationship will go if the abortion take place. The discussion puts The American in a weird place and make him very fraught.Furthermore,Hemingway acknowledges that this building sits in the sun as a means to show the issue of the pregnancy as being brought to light.Because the relationship is brought to the light it causes more tension between them Jig and The American. By stating that there was no shade and no trees Hemingway emphasizes the serious and necessary nature of the conversation between The American and the girl. This statement also highlight the discussion of the baby is a hard thing to talk about but is something that has to be discussed.By Hemingway expressing the seriousness between the two characters, it gives Jig ambiguity about if he would agree on Jigs decision. Hemingway also utilizes characterization of The American as an ascendant and Jig as a complaint to show the complexity of communication in a relationship. In the beginning ... Ramos Trident University BUS 599: Integrative Project Dr. Jeffrey Snider Feedback Loop and Organizational Learning The Excellent Consulting Group Organizational learning is no doubt an important concern to organizational researchers and practitioners. However, few theories or models of organizational learning have widespread acceptance, even the basic concept of what organizational learning is (Fiol Lyles, 1985; Huber, 1991, Kim, 1993). Feedback loops take the system output into consideration, which enables the system to adjust its performance to meet a desired output response. System feedback loops constitute an essential part of the systems thinking theory which allows viewing organization as a system. They are also connected to the theory of organizational learning., which may occur within a loop. Organizational learning theory and population ecology would suggest that rule making is subject to limited resources (e.g., unsolved problems) which would be absorbed as the rule apparatus grows, leaving less resources for new rules resulting in a negative effect of rule density on rule birth rates. There are different feedback loops at Whole Foods Market, two of which will be discuss in this paper. Identifying and having control of the reinforcing and balancing loops provides a company with an advanced understanding of its internal processes and creates multiple learning opportunities that will allow it to become more successful in the future. Roman concrete structures today still stand after withstanding natures slow but powerful degrading capacity. If you visit the Roman Pantheon, you would see, after all this time, that the building still stands prominently and in near perfection to this day. However, Roman concrete was most widely used to construct roads for troops and to help faster economic trade, as well as, being used commonly in buildings and walls. At about 120 124 the Romans architectural mastery was so great that they could build the circular Pantheon temple, a testament to the majesty of the Roman empire, and a place where the Romans could pray to their gods. Deforestation is the process of human cutting down trees and destroying the habitats of animals and lives. People would certainly think that deforestation would not be something good for the environment, and afforestation would cause a positive impact on the environment. Well, most people have his perspective like that. The scientist had found proofs that afforestation has the negative impact on the habitats of animals and the whole environment. But how this kind of activity would harm people and animals? Environment: How do people and animals live? Well, they would need to depend on some biotic and abiotic factors. Water, carbon dioxide, nitrogen etc. One of them is Oxygen, oxygen is one of the factors that would have a big impact on human and animals. No oxygen, no us. Afforestation is one of the ways to maintain oxygen from all those environmental problems we are right now facing on this planet. Plants are producers, they use sunlight and carbon to do a process called photosynthesis. When plants do this photosynthesis, they produce oxygen out. Trees are one of the producers that use photosynthesis and brings oxygen to us. This is one of the benefits from afforestation, but does this proofs that afforestation does more things that got positive impact? What is the difference between quantitative and qualitative research? In this essay I will go into more detail on these two forms of research looking at the definition, strengths, limitations and key features of each research method. Qualitative research focuses on gathering of mainly verbal data rather than measurements. The gathered information is then analyzed in an interpretative or subjective manner. • 12. The Internal And Economic Causes Of The Fall Of Rome Many seem to see the fall of Rome as a single event that suddenly occurred all at once, with one date marking the collapse of the empire. However, the fall of Rome wasn t a clear cut event. It was long, drawn out over several centuries, with many causes that, together, proved disastrous for the empire. The fall was most likely caused by a combination of internal and external issues, most notably economic collapse, corruption, the rise of Christianity, and attacks by barbarians (Squires). There were several factors contributing to the economic collapse of Rome. The first was lavish spending. Emperors and other nobility became known for spending extravagant amounts of money on lavish parties where guests drank and ate until they became sick. Many also spent money on prostitutes of which there were many and entertainment at the Colosseum. Another economic issue was the rise of unemployment. Slavery made it easy to grow a lot of food very cheaply for some. For those who didn t have slaves, it was nearly impossible to compete, meaning that only the richest farmers could afford to farm. Over time, the rest all became unemployed. The third economic reason for the fall of Rome was inflation that began after Marcus Aurelius. Rome was no longer conquering new lands, reducing the amount of money entering the empire. The price of goods began rising higher and higher, until gold became meaningless and Romans returned to a system of bartering to pay for goods and services. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Soil erosion is one form of soil degradation along with soil compaction, low organic matter, loss of soil structure, poor internal drainage, salinisation, and soil acidity problems. These other forms of soil degradation, serious in themselves, usually contribute to accelerated soil erosion. Soil erosion is a naturally occurring process on all land. The agents of soil erosion are water and wind, each contributing a significant amount of soil loss each year in Ontario. Soil erosion may be a slow process that continues relatively unnoticed, or it may occur at an alarming rate causing serious loss of topsoil. The loss of soil from farmland may be reflected in reduced crop production potential, lower surface water quality ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Plant and residue cover protects the soil from raindrop impact and splash, tends to slow down the movement of surface runoff and allows excess surface water to infiltrate. The erosion reducing effectiveness of plant and/or residue covers depends on the type, extent and quantity of cover. Vegetation and residue combinations that completely cover the soil, and which intercept all falling raindrops at and close to the surface and the most efficient in controlling soil (e.g. forests, permanent grasses ). Partially incorporated residues and residual roots are also important as these provide channels that allow surface water to move into the soil. The effectiveness of any crop, management system or protective cover also depends on how much protection is available at various periods during the year, relative to the amount of erosive rainfall that falls during these periods. In this respect, crops which provide a food, protective cover for a major portion of the year (for example, alfalfa or winter cover crops) can reduce erosion much more than can crops which leave the soil bare for a longer period of time (e.g. row crops) and particularly during periods of high erosive rainfall (spring and summer). However, most of the erosion on annual row crop land can be reduced by leaving a residue cover greater than 30% after harvest and over the winter months, or by inter seeding a forage crop (e.g. red ... • 22. Ignorance In Two-Handed Swords Are two handed swords as fictionally viable as people say? When many think of a two handed sword, they think of an overweight behemoth usually only seen in tv shows, movies, and video games. This association, though not unreasonable, is not fair to the credit of actually used historical two handed swords. It s apparent that some don t know how they fit in in a historical sense. Ignorance is further spread when ceremonial and decorative two handers are mistaken for the real thing. Although, they are probably most misrepresented in video games and anime/manga. After giving it a few swings and testing the weight, it seemed as though it was supposed to be imitating a type of bastard sword, or hand and a half sword. This assumption was somewhat accurate. After some research, it was discovered to be a replica of the sword used by William Wallace in the movie Braveheart. However, this does not make it historically accurate, as the sword from Braveheart is a historically inaccurate replica of the actual sword that was used by the real William Wallace. The sword from Braveheart has a basic flat crossguard and leather covering about a fifth of the blade from the hilt. The historical sword used by William Wallace has a crossguard that ends curling up and inwards toward the blade and no actual leather covering the blade. • 29. Economic Viability Of The Slave Trade System How Did Economic Viability of The Slave Trade System in relation to The Productivity of Slave Agriculture Change over Time? The transatlantic slave trade which took place during the mid seventeenth century until the late eighteenth century is observed as one of the largest forced migrations (Lewis, et Al., 2009, 2). The discovery of the America s pursued by European nations led to the uncovering of significant luxury goods and precious metals such as sugar, coffee, and gold (Eltis, 2008, 1). The slave trade resulted in African slaves that were trafficked from Africa to the America s to be used as labor supply to mass produce these goods on plantations set up along the coast. These luxury products in its primary form were produced at these plantations and were transported back to Europe to satisfy the high demand for luxury goods (Eltis, 2008, 4). Over the period where the transatlantic slave trade was active, the relationship between the economic viability of the slave trade system and the agricultural productivity of slaves offset each other and move with each other. The research presented has demonstrated that mortality rates of slaves and transportation costs affected the economic viability to sustain the slave trade which would then affect agricultural slave productivity on the plantations within the Caribbean. Instead, I think the main thing you should focus on for Draft 2 is organizing your paper so it is all supporting information for your thesis. In both your background and analysis section, ask yourself whether the information is there to support your thesis or whether it a secondary point. If it is a secondary point, then I probably wouldn t include it. 2. Organization: I would encourage you to try and increase your use of both umbrella paragraphs and topic/thesis sentences. Generally, at the beginning of each section or subsection, you should have an umbrella/roadmap paragraph to explain what is to come. That way a reader really understanding where you are going and how things fit together. Same with topic/thesis sentences. From a structural point of view, your background may end up being a bit long. You want your background to be shorter than your analysis section. At your current fourteen pages, you may want to watch out for the background section overshadowing the analysis section. Background: I think you are off to a good start with your background section. I would consider providing more organization or context for the section on the PLCAA. As ... • 40. Enter Hypocrites, Phone Geeks Prelude... Ever since a young age, I have been astounded by the lack of sincerity and common since that others lack. With technology growing rapidly each day, people have evolved into lazy, ignorant, lackadaisical human beings. As I have grown into a young adult in modern society, I have experienced multiple events that have made me want to pull my hair out. It doesn t take much to get under my skin, but some of these events are excruciating and would annoy any other person with a common since. Hypocrites, phone geeks, and other persons are what annoy me worse. I have always wondered how somebody can act in such of these ways without receiving any kind of punishment or ill treatment. It wasn t long until all of these questions I had been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I felt the wind rapidly pick up and I felt the temperature go up vastly as we approached the final gate. Enter Hypocrites. This sign said. My body began to fuel with hatred and numerous emotions. There is nothing on this life I despise more then people who do what they say they are against. As we entered the final gate, I was highly amused at what was before me. The people in this circle had the body of a bull, and a human head with their mouths sewn shut. They galloped around in a pit with very little space and they were covered in feces. I figured the mouths were seen shut because of how these people wasted their words and lied all throughout their lives. They had the body of a bull, well, because they were full of bull shit obviously. Of all of the famous people I witnessed in this circle, none stuck out to me more than Henry David Thoreau. Thoreau s reputation is remembered as one who was a great environmentalist in our world we live in, but down here it is a completely different story. When he was alive, he criticized people were disrespecting nature. He once set fire to a forest, nearly burning half of it down. To make matters worse, he worked in a pencil factory which required logging and trees to be cut down. He also claimed to be a self reliant human being, where this was completely false. He lived on land owned by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and his mother did his own laundry. I was highly amused to see his bull shit finally come full ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. The Endothelial Phlexus Irrespective of the differences between species, the endothelial plexus, as described above, is formed at the same time within the cardiac region and within the embryo, ensuring the presence of a circulatory system. In the cardiac region, this creates the primary endocardial tube of the heart. The endocardial cells forming the tube come from both sides of the developing embryo and, as they form a lumen, are enveloped by myocardial cells, all this occurring within the newly formed pericardial cavity. The myocardium at this stage, however, does not completely surround the endothelial tube. Instead, it retains, in its dorsal aspect, continuity with the splanchnic mesoderm of the developing mediastinum, through the structure known as the dorsal ... It is interesting to note that the location of this defect indicates the midline of the conal septum and illustrates the contribution of this (conal) structure to the closing of the ventricular (anatomically defined) septum. 3) AV canal defects (VSD type IIIY4 are the most complex VSDs; they involve not only a lack of separation of the ventricular cavities, but also some variable defects of AV valves. The variants range from the isolated cleft of the septal leaflets to a common AV valve with varying degrees of attachment to the ventricular septum and shortening of the height of the ventricular septum. Occasionally, subaortic stenosis is also associated with an AV canal defect. It is important to note that this VSD is caused by a failure of the uppermost component of the ventricular septum to develop below the septal leaflets of the AV valves, most likely because of a lack in the medial AV cushions. Similar to the type II VSD, the membranous septum is never present in these cases (these defects include a component of the type ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud Summary I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud William Wordsworth Summary: This poem has Beautiful Imagery, I believe it is describing someone daydreaming, and dreaming about rolling hills of flowing flowers and sparkling stars. Quotation: For oft, on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood, They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude; Significance of Quote: This part of the poem represents the Poet relaxing, taking a step away from his world and living in another. Reflection: I really identify with this poem, I as a person tend to daydream a lot (never in H English) and can appreciate the beauty this poem describes. This poem uses great imagery such as personification that has me almost believing the Daffodils are dancing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marquis is stabbed later in the chapter. Marquis also turns out to be Darnay s uncle who happens to visit him later on. Quotation: Even in my father s time, we did a world of wrong, injuring every human creature who came between us and our pleasure, whatever it was. Significance of Quote: Darnay says this and it is describing what the upper class aristocrats were like during this time. They did not see others as beings as important as themselves, they were greedy, and selfish. However his uncle has very little interest in this. Reflection: I do not like Marquis, he is cold. I love making friends in real life, but I would not like to become friend with him. First of all, he RAN OVER A CHILD, that s kinda ridiculous. He is merciless and cares not for anyone except himself. Even his own flesh and blood nephew doesn t have a place near his heart as he disagrees with their placement as nobles. I get the whole strong prey on the weak deal, however that doesn t have to be taken when humanity and cognitive process takes place, it is as though he just does not care. It is not until the Messenger from Corinth visits, the Shepherd that gave Oedipus to his adoptive parents is questioned, and the acknowledgment of who he is that Oedipus s downfall really begins. Oedipus fell from a King that everyone respected and loved to a murderer of his father and a husband to his mother (Scene 4.1118 1123).
