Behavioural Disruption In The Classroom
All children need to feel safe and respected, so they can learn and develop socially and emotionally
however, behavioural disruptions can negatively affect the learning environment causing
interruptions in the classroom. To manage behavioural disruptions effectively, it is important to
consider the individual s needs in relation to their situation and which behavioural strategy can best
support the student. The main goal of behaviour intervention is to guide students to learn and
manage their own behaviour (Meyer Evans, 2012). The Neo Adlerian theory approach focuses on
the implementation of positive behavioural management in the classroom, using strategies such as
positive student teacher relationships that promote value and a sense of... Show more content on

The Choice theory also adopts self responsibility, belonging and meaningful relationships which
aligns with the Humanistic approach. Choice theory asserts that human beings have five basic
needs: (1) survival, (2) love and belonging (sharing and cooperating with others), (3) power and
control (by achieving, accomplishing, being recognised and respected), (4) freedom (making
choices in our lives) and (5) fun (laughing and playing) (Lyons, Ford Arthur Kelly, 2011). Students
may not be fully aware of their basic needs but understand that there are some general circumstances
that strongly relate to the way they feel. For example, students realise that when people pay
attention to their words or actions they feel powerful; by making choices they feel the importance
of freedom; and through laughter they learn about fun (Brooks Young, 2011). These constitute the
source of all internal motivation and guide their behaviour. However, the behaviours through which
individuals choose to satisfy those needs may be quite different. Individuals choose to behave in
different ways to fulfil their needs because their quality worlds are different (Brooks Young, 2011).
Choice theory suggests that teachers can help students identify the circumstances that trigger their
behaviours, which in turn

A Research Study On Health Promotion, Behavior Change
Abstract Workplace wellbeing has been an important aspect of government and employer focused
for the past few years. Considering that people spend such a large amount of the time at work.
Employment is a key element in promoting good health and the World Health Organization
recognises the workplace as a key avenue for health promotion (WHO, 2015). A systematic
literature search was undertaken to establish the importance of workplace for promotion of good
health practices, particularly in a social cultural context of behavioural changes in nursing field
when encountering different situation at work such as stress and bullying, and how does
multicultural workplace affects behaviour of each staff. Keywords Literature review, systematic,...

Different people (nurses) cope with this in different ways some better than others (Chang, et.al.,
2006). Method Literature search This study began with a database search to locate all the current
and relevant articles about workplace based health promotion. A total of nine articles from the last
ten years have been assessed for relevance for the study. Data Analysis To evaluate the studies,
articles were entered into a literature review matrix, identifying the specific aims of the study,
demographic, methods, major findings, limitations and article focus. Data were analysed using
content analysis to produce a descriptive summary of the content. Results were independently
reviewed within each article and data were analysed to identify the causes of behavioural changes.
Results A total of nine articles from the nine original studies using qualitative and quantitative
research methods met the criteria for inclusion in the study (9 articles with different research
objectives with similar participants). Four out of nine stated that the most common cause of
changes in behaviour is job satisfaction, followed by language and different values and beliefs. Four
articles have been critically analysed to conclude that job satisfaction is the most common cause of
behavioural changes in the workplace (Chang, Daly, Hancock, Bidewell, Johnson, Lambert,

Racism And Heterosexism Within African American Churches
The struggle that Black churches have on homosexuality has been an ongoing battle. The issue of
homophobia and heterosexism within African American churches is a difficult one. Regardless of
the complexity of the matter, it is one that the black community must address. It is, to ensure, time
for the black religious leaders to truly live into its justice asserting social, political, historical, and
theological beliefs which would lead to eliminating any manifestation of the sin of homophobia
from its very mindset. The denouncement of black LGBTindividuals presents factors about why

Harris explains that theses exertions became a matter of life and death during the early 1980s when
predominately male African American male congregants, pastors and other church members
became sick from an unknown illness which later became recognized as the autoimmune deficiency
syndrome (AIDS). AIDS and the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) has a superfluous effect
on the black community. African Americans accumulate nearly half of most HIV and AIDS
diagnoses. The delayed response of black leaders to the epidemic was another factor that incited the
highly prevalent rates of HIV and AIDS cases within the African American community. Along with
affected gay men, prostitutes and intravenous drug users became infected as well; Harris further
reports that those people were considered degenerates and immoral by black church leaders. Trailing
back to the days of slavery, black religious leaders assisted as freedom fighters of social justice
for oppressed African Americans. Those affected with the disease looked to religious leadership
for spiritual support and to bring the disease to light. However instead of the desired support, they
were faced with disdain and denunciation at the lifestyle as black leaders believed caused the
individuals to be affected with the disease. Furthermore, Harris addresses that many gay men who
died from the disease were restricted from being buried beside their home churches. This

A current threat to the Mojave desert is its renewable energy sources, or windmills as people
most know them as. About 50,000 acres of desert tortoise habitat has been built over, mostly in
California. Dunes which house many Mojave Fringe toed lizards have been impacted, as well as
windmills that have been built in the way of golden eagle habitats. This causes many collision
between the birds, a threat that many of them face. Many of these renewable energy sources
people are able to see heading down to Palm Springs or getting on the freeway to LA. A large area
of the desert was plowed and flattened out for solar panels destroying many homes for animals.

Performance Based Compensation Strategy
Compared to the other competitors Nucor provided employees with a performance related
compensation system. All employees were covered under one of four basic compensation plans,
each featuring incentives related to meeting specific goals and targets. 1. Production Incentive Plan.
Employees those directly involved in manufacturing were paid weekly bonuses based on actual
output in relation to anticipated production tonnages produced. The bonuses were paid only for
work that met quality standards and were pegged to work groups, rather than individual output.
Bonuses were tied to attendance and tardiness standards. If one worker s tardiness or attendance
problems caused the group to miss its weekly output target, every member of the group was denied
a bonus for that week. If they are late, even only five minutes, they lose their bonus for the day. If
they are thirty minutes late or they are absent for sickness or anything else, they lose their bonus for
the week. 2. Department Manager Incentive Plan.

Review Selection of a Standardized Test
Introduction
Test administrators should understand and clarify why the test taker is being assessed,(American
Educational Research, 2014). Additionally, they should also understand why certain tests,
inventories, and diagnostic procedures are selected. As a student, in the process of achieving a
Master s degree in clinical psychology, it is essential to be aware of the reasons for certain tests,
their reliability, and validity. This especially true for a clinical psychologist, which I plan to
become. Clinical psychologists identify psychological, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
Eventually, those issues are diagnosed. Then, treatment plans are developed and implemented. This

It targets executive functions like impulse control, flexible problem solving skills, controlling
emotional responses, regulating behavior in social settings, generating ideas and initiating
activities, cognitive skills, planning, and organizing, and lastly, task monitoring, (Roth et al, 2005).
The last test, that will be reviewed, is Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales (CBRS).
The target population, for this test, includes individuals whose ages range from 6 to 18. Conners
CBRS was created to assess a wide range of behaviors, emotions, social functioning, and academic
issues, in order to diagnose, develop, and monitor treatment plans for the individual, (Conners,
2015). Conners CBRS, also, aids with special education classification, intervention planning,
progress monitoring, and research.
Element 2 In this next section, the three selected tests will be reviewed for their appropriateness of
test content, skills tested, and content coverage for the intended purpose of testing, (Code, 2004, p.
5, See #2). ASEBA s behavior checklist and self reports contains DSM Oriented, syndrome,
competence, and adaptive functioning scales that target specific behavior, thought, emotions, and
social interactions, (Lacalle et al, 2012). As a result, this test can provide appropriate behavioral
treatment plans. When Lacelle, Ezpeleta, and DomГ©nech evaluated this test,

El Greco The Agony In the Garden, a mannerist style of art by EL Greco, proclaims a sense of
spiritual power of religious faith which accomplishes El Greco s aim to move his audience. El
Greco was born on the island of Crete and lived from 1541 to 1614. He represented the most
characteristic figure of Spanish Mannerism. El Greco was influenced by and became acquainted
with the art of Titian and Jacopo Bassano in Venice where he studied in 1566. In addition to

The Biblical occurrence illustrated is standardized on two levels, one above the other. The group
of the three sleeping apostles fill the lower plane. We find comparable groups of apostles in
pictures by Giovanni Bellini. El Greco returns to Quattrocento etiquette, especially in the manner in
which the sleeping gray haired apostle bends his arm around his head.
Of the abundant versions of this painting in the artist s own hand there is a smaller copy in the
Museum at Lille, and other variants are to be found in the Episcopal palace in the Museum of Fine
Arts in Buenos Aires. The variant most similarly related to the painting in Budapest is the larger
scale version in the Church of Santa Maria at Andujar which displays other works of mannerist art.
The mannerist style thrived at the same time as High Renaissance and Baroque art. Mannerism, like
many other names attached to so many other periods of art, was a name conceived in disdain and
impudence. Maniera, meaning maner, was correlated with the artist who worked in the manner of
someone else. Like an imitator who adapted and sometimes perfected the forms of another.
However, there are characteristics of the
Mannerist style which disconnected it from the period of the High Renaissance as well as the
distinguishing it from the emerging Baroque. A number of crucial artist of
Mannerism have displayed meaningful works. Only in the last ninety years has

Information Technology Pros And Cons
Introduction
Today is the world of computers, smart phones, and immediate satisfaction. One can easily pick
up his or her smart phone and Google something for a quick, easy answer. The Google world,
according to Aspray (2011), has actually caused a shift in how people research and find necessary
data (p.234). One does not have to go to the library or a print encyclopedia anymore because a
whole world of information can be at one s fingertips through the use of phones, tablets, laptops, etc.
When it comes to finding information, there are both pros and cons to some of the newer
technology. First of all, one improvement would be that information is much more accessible to the
common person. However, the problem comes when there is so much information available that
almost anyone can contribute the massive information bank so that fake news and information that
is not completely accurate, and sometimes simply wrong, can become what people are using for
every day information and research.
Although modern technology has allowed for a lot of bad information to spread, it has also
allowed for easier access to accurate information and the professional sources. Many tools have
been created for finding good sources. Library discovery tools are one type of tool that have made
searching for professional sources yet more efficient.
What are Library Discovery Tools?
Discovery tools, according to Aharony (2015), provide one box searching for all library content

Analysis Of The Book The Lion, The Witch, And The...
In 1950, eager readers approaching the children s fantasy section of the bookstore were met with
an unusual new title: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. To children, the combination of those
three things was intriguing enough. To adults, the name of the author would have piqued more
interest: C. S. Lewis, the renowned Christian writer. His name appears on such other titles as The
Screwtape Letters, The Problem of Pain, The Weight of Glory, Miracles, and later Mere
Christianity, a hallmark of religious classics. While the younger generation pondered how Narnia
could fit into something as small as a wardrobe, mature readers would have mulled over a different
question. How does The Chronicles of Narniafit into his other religious works?... Show more

Despite his sin, Digory repents of waking up the Witch and bringing her to Narnia (see Moses
5:10 11) and plants a Tree to keep the Witch away. It may not be a cherubim or a flaming sword
(see Genesis 3:24), but it will prevent the Witch from coming within a hundred miles (The
Magician s Nephew, 189).
The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe
The first book in The Chronicles of Narnia contains the most obvious Gospel reference. The story
first gains traction when the Pevensies bring Christmas to Narnia. [The White Witch] has made a
magic so that it is always winter in Narnia always winter, but it never gets to Christmas (The Lion,
the Witch, and the Wardrobe 59). Likewise, the New Testament begins with the birth of Christ (see
Matthew 1:1, 18). One of the Pevensies, Edmund, betrays Aslan to the White Witch, indirectly
through Deep Magic (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe 141 142). Judas s betrayal of Jesus,
while more deliberate than Edmund s, is described in John 18:1 5. Aslan is able to overcome the
Deep Magic by invoking Deeper Magic at the Stone Table, and defeats the Witch after coming
back to life. Likewise, the scriptures prophesy of a Savior who will conquer death (see The
Book of Mormon, 2 Nephi 2:8) and the world (see John 16:33). At long last, Adam s flesh and
Adam s bone [s]it at Cair Paravel in throne and [t]he evil time [is] over and done (The Lion, the

Anderson s Discrimination In The Inner City
A third way Anderson describes how discrimination affects those in the inner city is the
discrimination against hiring those who live there some workplaces have. Part of the reason the
concept of family has deteriorated in the inner city, besides the increase of drugs and drug
dealing, is because it is hard for a young man to provide for his family. Those who are in the
decent group have to fight against the stereotypes set forth by those part of the street group and
have to essentially be a public relations manager for the rest of his street. Those who want a job
must deliberately contradict stereotypes as companies are hesitant to hire people from the inner
city, even discriminating against whole districts and refusing to hire anyone... Show more content on

Commentary on The Poem of the Cid Essay
Commentary on The Poem of the Cid Poetry played a vital role in the dissemination of
information during the Crusade period. It provided a compact, easily memorized way of
spreading news in a time bereft of the benefit of mass printing. According to Michael Routledge,
who penned a chapter on Crusade songs and poetry in The Oxford Illustrated History of the
Crusades, poetry was not only a way of recording and spreading news of current events, but also
served to record and extoll the virtues and values of the ruling Medieval aristocracy. These values
included commitment to one s lord, and an acceptance of the feudal duties of auxilium (armed help
in time of attack by enemies) and consilium (counsel and rendering of justice)... Show more content

As a free agent, so to speak, the Cid would have been able to claim authority over whatever
territory he conquered, and could even wage war against his former lord (Nelson 1). Instead, the
Cid continues to carry out his duties as a vassal in absentia. The Cid s adventures take him deep
into the interior of Moorish Spain and yield a multitude of spoils. Throughout the poem, the Cid
sends Alfonso a share of these riches, as a token of his loyalty. On three separate occasions, the
Cid sends his loyal vassal, the knight Minaya, to deliver horses taken in battle to Alfonso. The
horses, eventually totaling 330, serve as a catalyst for the Cid regaining his lord s favor. The
first attempt fails, but the second gains the Cid the right to be reunited with his wife and two
daughters. The third equine gift, after his conquest of Valencia and subsequent defeat of a
Muslim army sent to relieve the city, gains him back his former status. In addition to portraying the
Cid as a an exemplar of what a loyal vassal should be, the Poem of the Cid also serves as a guide on
how to be a excellent lord. He is generous to his followers and is respectful of their ideas and
advice. He trusts the loyal Minaya to act as his intermediary to Alfonso. During the trial to end
the Poem, the Cid s vassals offer up a challenge to arms in order to protect his honor (Nelson 1)
The University of Kansas s Lynn Nelson sees the Cid s reconciliation gifts as a test of Alfonso s
honor. She says the gifts

Many are called terrible names, spit on, and generally discriminated. Maurice Robinson
commented on this time during a recent festival commemorating the Vietnam War. No respect
for what you did. Nobody wanted to talk to you or congratulate you sometimes not even your
family. So a lotta guys got rid of their uniforms, threw em in the closet and went on with their
lives. A lot of em are still trying to get their lives together today (Sherr 22). Veterans were not
thanked for their service and many are looked down upon by their participation in the Vietnam
War. This treatment had a huge impact of the Vietnam veterans and their families. Pervis Crowe
reflects upon this in Vietnam: Homecoming. If we d come home in different circumstances than
we did, my life wouldn t be the way it is now. Body: The scenes in New York City of soldiers
returning from World War II have been remembered for decades. The huge parades, the confetti
flying through the streets, and couples embracing were reflective of the gratitude the country

Sexually Transmitted Disease Analysis
Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Currently, reported sexually transmitted infections are at a record high in this day and age. STI
reports are getting higher and higher each year, new cases grow higher every day, especially in
young adults and teens. For example, during 2014 2015 the rate for syphilis increased 18.1%
among men and 27.3% among women ( Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance 2015 31). And
although STI s are completely preventable, they are still being spread like wildfire from person

The Positive Aspects Of Happiness
Happiness could be described as the perception that the positive aspects of life outweigh the
negative. With this definition, people could often attain ephemeral moments of happiness. When,
for example, a man discovers that his favorite baseball team has won the championship, a
woman is complimented on her dress, or a child discovers that school has been cancelled for the
day, they feel happiness because at that moment some occurrence has caused them to feel that the
good in the world exceeds the bad. Long term, sustainable happiness, however, is more elusive.
Given time to ponder the ratio of positive to negative in their lives and the world, many people
find that happiness is not so easily achievable. The man soon remembers that he has to work a
twelve hour day in a factory; the woman returns home to an abusive husband; the child is bullied at
school. Whenever possible, people compensate for these adversities with beneficial experiences and
insights, so they can achieve happiness most often. Therefore, they tend to ignore the sufferingand
atrocities in the world that they perceive as not directly affecting themselves. They choose a
happiness that is easily obtained and immediate, yet short term and individual rather than one that
is more difficult and time consuming, yet enduring and widespread. Both the collective happiness
of society and a person s individual happiness are hindered in the long term by selfish attitudes and
conformity to unchallenged traditions, which

Amadors Monologue
I have to run faster. He is getting too close. Veronica, you can out run him I tell myself, but the
pain in my chest everytime I take a breath is telling me otherwise. He is close enough now that I
can feel his breaths on the back of my neck. The man s arms pull me to the ground. Should I even
try to escape? He is much larger than me, and my guess is he is about thirty five. I am only
sixteen. If I try to get away, it would probably just make him more angry. Maybe I can talk to
him. What did I do? I say trying to keep a steady voice. He gets his fist and hits me in my right
eyebrow. I do not move. I am too stunned. Is this pain? Is this fear? Thanks to the Amadors, the

What Is The Role Of Reasoning In Judicial Decision Making
It s important to understand how judges come to their decisions, as it can often be more than
just simply applying legal principles to get to the relevant solution. It is common for there to be
many potential outcomes to a case, and these outcomes shape the way in which laws shift and
change thus having a profound impact on society as a whole our laws are what define our
civilization, values, beliefs, and morality. As Lord Dyson stated: The business of judging often
involves a choice between different conclusions, any of which it may be possible to reach by
respectable legal reasoning. The choice made is likely to be motivated at a far deeper level by the
judge s own approach to the law . This essay will cover the role of reasoning in judicial decision
making; how it allows judges to interpret statute and precedent, as well as leading the way for
reform and the establishing of new case law. It will also cover the limitations of reasoning, some of
which help keep the balance of power in check Such as binding precedent and the rule of law, as
well as other subconscious factors that may influence a judge s ability to use reason when making a
decision.
Reasoning plays an important role in judicial decision making. No matter how many precedent
cases, guidelines, and statutes may exist, reasoning will always be essential because it allows these
factors to be interpreted on a case by case basis; this is necessary because statutes are too limited to
be able to cover every

Realism In Still Walking
Analysis of Still Walking through Bazin s film approach
Hirokazu Koreeda got an international attention with his films like After Life, Nobody Knows,
Air Doll... Still Walking his film that brought him great success was nominated to many awards.
Film was about a family union regarding to anniversary of family s dead son. In the Still Walking
his style of portraying has similarity to Ozu s way of family, people s situation in life.
Director Hirokazu Koreeda got his fame by people calling him new Yasujiro Ozu of the Japanese
cinema. If we consider the importance of Ozu in Japanese Film history Koreeda s fame would
seem more considerable. Ozu s film approach is among other two important Japanese director
Akira Kurosawa and Kenji Mizoguchi most realist one if we could say. His materpiece Tokyo

that there is no way for that yellow butterfly to be spirite of Ryosuke. Yellow butterfly has special

dead son s spirit but something fragile. It can be seen even just as a visual beauty.
In conclusion, Still Walking complies with French film theoratiicn Andre Bazin s understanding

mechanical alarm clocks were invented by Levi Hutchins in 1787 (History of Clocks. (n.d.).

How Did The British Win The Battle Of America
Despite American victories at Fort Ticonderoga and Saratoga, they weren t as lucky in Brooklyn,

known as the Battle of Brooklyn. The British attacked the Americans who were positioned among

The Americans were ill equipped for the battle carrying muskets left over from King George s
War (1744 45) and Queen Anne s War (1702 1713) that were taken from New England and were
made up of 19,000 poorly trained militia and volunteers (Schechter 143). This inexperienced
American force, despite commanded by the great General Washington, left a wide open flank,
which Howe easily took advantage of unfortunately. He discovered an undefended flank through
the Jamaica Pass and took advantage of it ravaging the American defenses from the side. The
sheer numbers of British forces and weapons outflanking them, which was nearly twice the size of
the U.S. forces there, overwhelmed Washington and his men forcing them to retreat to New Jersey.
The Battle of Brooklyn was a demoralizing defeat for the Americans as Washington would never be
able to recover New York City from the British. It was the largest (in terms of numbers) battle of the
entire American Revolution and saw the most Hessian involvement with three full regiments
(Soleki). And, it was also the first battle fought by the newly formed United States

Informative Essay On Fingerhakeln
Fingerhakeln is a sport originating from Germany and Austria that tests your strength in an odd
way. The sport dates back to the 17th century and was used to settle disputes and arguments
between men. It is sort of like arm wrestling where one person has to prove their strength by making
the other person submit to your arm strength but with your finger. This sport is still being played to
this day and it even has its own championship with very serious competitors. It might seem like
fun to people learning about this, but it is anything but as it takes dedication and a lot of pain
tolerance to endure this feat of strength. Fingerhakeln is a simple game to play, all you need is a
friend, a table, and a strong ring of some sort (It could be rope, leather, duct tape, ect.). To play,
the two players put their middle fingers around the string and start pulling. Whoever pulls the
other players finger all the way across the table wins. The competition only lasts for about 1 to 10
seconds so it is hard to declare a victor sometimes without a judge. Like wrestling, people are put
into different weight classes to give the contestants a more evenly matched opponent. It isn t all fun
though, as it is pretty common to see a contestant walk out with a bloody finger.... Show more

The Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model
The engineering component of the Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model predicts wind and rain
damage to a variety of modelled building configurations in an effort to model hurricane losses. The
program uses a Monte Carlo approach to probabilistically simulating damage to the exterior
components of the models, but currently assigns coststo the damaged components deterministically.
This implementation does not capture variations in component costs and building values. This
paper investigates replacing the deterministic costing with probabilistic relationships to more
accurately reflect the uncertainty of the vulnerability outputs. The results indicate that cost
variations do not significantly impact the variation of the vulnerability results. The conclusion of
the paper presents possible explanations for this and recommendations for further investigation.
The Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model (FPHLM) is a catastrophe model that predicts hurricane
related insured losses to residential infrastructure in the state of Florida. Currently, the model
analyses three different types of properties: personal residential buildings (single family buildings),
commercial residential low rise buildings (multi family buildings), and commercial residential mid
/high rise buildings (buildings in excess of 3 stories that house multiple families). The models
consist of a meteorological (hazard) component, an engineering (building vulnerability) component,
and an actuarial component.

Star Life Cycles
There are two different life cycles for stars but they both start out as a Stellar Nebula . It then
splits off in to separate stars the Low Mass and The High Mass stars..
The Start:
Stars are born in a Nebulae which a clouds of dust and gas (mostly hydrogen). In the stellar
nurseries the dense parts undergo gravitational collapse and compress into a rotating gas globule.
The globule is cooled by emitting radio waves and infrared radiation. It is compressed by
gravitational forces and also by shock waves of pressure from supernova or the hot gas released
from nearby bright stars. These forces cause the roughly spherical globule to collapse and rotate.
The process of collapse takes from between 10,000 to 1,000,000 years.

Analyble Themes In The Calculus Diaries By Jennifer Ouellette
The author of The Calculus Diaries, Jennifer Ouellette, conveys a story to the reader that
calculus isn t as evil as everyone makes it seem, and to show its uses in everyday life. This
happens expertly by using relatable topics such as gambling in Vegas, how to lose weight, and
how to survive the zombie apocalypse. Ouellette makes it a key point that anyone can understand
and apply calculus, even those who dread even hearing the term. In addition, since every chapter
has a new topic the characters around her vary, but she remains the narrator of the story. One
explanation about why she does this is because she describes calculus as being on par with a story
where the main character and viewpoint can change the entire meaning of the story.... Show more

One weakness this book has though is the fact that it sometimes strayed too far from the main
purpose of the book that the reader could become bored before the author reaches her main point.
For example, on many occasions throughout the book Ouellette dives too deep into the history of
the people who came up with theories, hypotheses, or equations and this distracts from the main
purpose of the book, which is to make calculus more engaging for the readers. Finally, this book
was enjoyable because it allowed for a better understanding of a complicated topic by using a
variety of interesting examples where calculus is important. Also, since the longer chapters where
broken up into smaller sections it was easier to read it faster and making the book more
pleasurable. I would recommend this book highly to other students who want to go into a career
that will deal with a bunch of calculus because it intelligently shows you the basic concepts, but in
an easy to understand way. This book challenges the reader to take a step back and look at the
more interesting side of calculus to gain a more solid understanding. For the mechanical engineering
major, one must complete Calculus I, II, and III, so having a strong foundation of knowledge makes
these easier in the long run. Also, the test this book puts on its readers is to make calculus more
fun, which makes me more inclined to join clubs and organizations on campus that use calculus
because that is the easiest way to

Theories Of Motivation And Motivation
2.2Motivation
Kressler (2003, 1 2) defines motivation as a rationale behind human behavior; anyone who has
motives is motivated and has reasons and causes for their actions and inaction. Rationale to work is
generally a combination of necessity to work, to satisfy individual needs and to avoid frustration.
However motivation is highly personal and people react differently to motivational factors.
Armstrong (2006, 317) continues that motivation has three dimension; direction that tells what
person is trying to do, effort which explains how hard persons is trying and persistence that
clarifies how long person keeps on trying. Motivation shortly is a goal directed behavior where
actions lead to a valued reward and as Pinder (2008, 11) defines: Work motivation is a set of

Prince and Cabaret No one has been more crucial to the evolution of the concept musical than
Harold Prince. Being trained by George Abbott and Jerome Robbins, Harold Prince directed over

and planet (Krell, 27). In the vision, the company talks of the clients, products self concept, public
image, philosophy and the employees, which are good aspects that should be included in a mission
statement for it to be comprehensive and of good standard (Soar, 34). However, in this mission
statement, the company does not mention any item to do with leadership, quality, integrity,
accountability, collaboration, passion as well as diversion. These are critical elements that should
be considered in the mission statement, but the Coca Cola Company has mentioned none of them in
it its statement (Petrulis, 28). This is a clear indicator that the mission statement of Coca Cola
Company is insufficient. Hence, the company should rather rely on its vision statement in place of
its mission statement and by doing so would have some values listed above to make it effective. It
is by their inclusion that a company can be able to communicate its mission for being what it is to
all its stakeholders in one statement (Soar,

The, Meridian Hill, And Lynne Rabinowitz
The Civil Rights Movement was a tumultuous era, not only did black activists and leaders fight
for their inalienable rights but there were also many gender, racial and generational conflicts
within the Movement. In the novel Meridian by Alice Walker, the three central characters,
Truman Held, Meridian Hill, and Lynne Rabinowitz are young passionate activists during the
Civil Rights Movement. However, the relationship of genders and the racial and generational
dynamics mold and influence the actions of the characters. In this essay, I will argue that
Meridian is forced to constantly collide and reconcile with past generations, Truman is self
conflicted with the idea of abandoning his African roots, and Lynne is conflicted with the idea
of white guilt. Lynne Rabinowitz escapes her Jewish northern life in order to experience the
suffering of the other side in order to satiate her white guilt and her lack of diversity. She is given
a chance to prove herself when she encounters Tommy Odds, she wished she could go to the
police, but she was more afraid of them than she was of Tommy Odds, because they would attack
young black men in the community indiscriminately and the people she wanted most to see
protected would suffer (176). Even after being raped by Tommy, she doesn t think she has the right
to approach the police. Her participation in the

Analysis Of Opposition By Mitsuharu Kaneko
The poet Mitsuharu Kaneko, also known as the writer of the poem, Opposition, is widely
known as an anti war and anti establishmentarianism figure, and freely expressed his disdain
towards Japan s dictatorship at his time. Due to this, he reflects his desire for people to oppose it
and live with freedom in a poem that is centered around the theme of resistance in order to
illustrate the importance of one expressing their individuality. He successfully incorporates his
message into the poem through the words, actions, and characterization of his speaker. The
speaker expresses their ideas by using each stanza to display different examples of the basic,
normal aspects of society to emphasize that one should not be afraid to step out of the
boundaries that trap them in the regular aspects of society, conveying the message that to
oppose is to truly live with freedom. The first stanza begins with the speaker displaying
opposition towards the normal side of society to convey their message. They address how when
they were young, they opposed to school (2), and now, again (3), which indicates that they are
adults in the present, they are opposed to work (4), establishing the speaker as a prideful, spirited
person by displaying how in both their younger days and now, they are opposed to something that
is considered a fundamental requirement for everyone in the world, which is school and work.
This is further proven by the lines, When I m asked for what I was born, /

conclusion
A contra indication is condition or reaction that would prohibit treatment. In my report I will
identify contra indications to treatments of the eyelashes and brows. It is imperative you recognise
a contra indication. This will help prevent any further harm to your client, and yourself. It may also
prevent cross contamination ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In most cases only one eye is usually affected, although there can be infection in both.
All of these contra indications will prohibit treatment, and client should seek medical/treatment
advice at their earliest convenience, and offer to reschedule. You must not give any medical advice
as this is not professional and may cause your client distress and alarm, but explain to your client
the concerns you have and why you would not look to apply any treatment to eyelash or eyebrows.
A doctors note would be required should client wish to continue Such reasons include spread of
infection, contamination, causing any further issues by going ahead with treatment(s).
Inflammation is an area raised up from skin surface and normally can be found to have skin
irritation on the area affected. You should not provide eyelash or eyebrow treatments if the eye
itself or surrounding area has any inflammation, but again, explain your concerns in a manner that
does not alarm them, ask they seek medical advice before proceeding (providing a doctors note
should the possible contra indication be no cause for concern and client would like to continue
treatment), concluding with information on contamination, risk of spreading infection and or
disturbing the affected area, causing harm to your client and potentially

In ancient numerology interpretations the 5 stands in the center of all primary numbers. This is an
exciting pattern for freedom, movement, change, diversity and variety. One 5 is pleasant because
it brings in the qualities of the five pointed star or pentagram. This is a visual of man/woman with
arms stretched out into all corners of the biosphere and the heavens. Man/woman is represented as
the microcosm of the macrocosm within the 5 pattern. Essentially, this pattern brings in the free
flowing ability to traverse all old ideologies set up within humanity and make certain there is
evolution as man/woman living as an interconnected organism in the flow of life. Consequently,
one 5 can represent the rebel as it does so with Jungarian archetypes. What if a person had more
than one five within their own being? What if the person had multiple 5 s that turn into a spiral of
energy?
Firstly, we have to see the 5 Pentad is a Sacred Geometrical pattern that exists to create order round
this energy. The 5

Safety Mindset
Growth Mindset in Safety
Introduction
Safety is an important function of our daily lives and requires the same attention we give other
functions and processes within our daily job routines. Over the years as we continue to do our
jobs and the same processes we can become less safe by using short cuts to make a process easier
for ourselves. Also, the equipment we use begins to age and breakdown and cause unsafe
conditions. Safety professionals use many different types of safety programs to combat safety
related issues or problems one may encounter on a job site. Employee involvement is the most
important part of any safety program. Without employee involvement safety programs are not as
successful, because employees are sometimes not aware of the process and steps in place to protect
them.
Industries across the United States develop different ways to protect their employees. Resiliency is

The company had completely ignored the fact that Japanese market is not as price sensitive as
other Asian markets. Many people came to Carrefour mostly out of curiosity, expecting it to give a
resemblance of French market with French products while on the contrary, the company were
selling more Japanese products and lost all ability to distinct itself with highly competitive local
supermarkets (Yamakawa, 2005, Choi Mukoyama, 2009). There was the discordance between the
image that Carrefour tried to portrait as high quality, luxurious and sophisticated products when it
was following the EDLP model Everyday low price , multi store, convenience, retailing format.
Moreover, Carrefour Japan didn t make any adjustment regarding Japanese people as its shop
signs were in English with intimidating guards present at the store; westernized design shelves
and cart that were too high and heavy for average Japanese people; confusing the weight then

Analysis Of La Migra By Pat Mora
La Migra by Pat Mora is a poem that leads to the different points of view of two opposite
personnels. This poem was that it had a very simple, common setting and situation. And you have
been spotted by the sun... I know this desert, where to rest, where to drink. (Mora 1191). This set
of lines tells me that the poem took place somewhere near the border where typically people try to
cross the border. When crossing the border, there are some lakes or some deserts, it all depends on
which part you cross. Although the desert seems empty and boring, this poem had an interesting
situation. It gave the readers a chance to see what the two characters in the poem were seeing
through their own pointof view.
This poem tends to reveal character when it described the two points of view between the main
characters. Let s play La Migra, I ll be the Border Patrol. You be the Mexican maid... Get ready,
get set, run. (Mora 1190 1191). This whole first stanza implies that the border patrol will have it
s advantages and characteristics over the mexican maid and it doesn t give any of her
advantages, just pure weaknesses. It was trying to say that the mexican maid was doomed and
the border patrol had full power over her. Let s play La Migra, You ll be the Border Patrol. I ll be
the Mexican woman... you do not understand. Get ready. (Mora 1191). Then in the whole second
stanza, things start to turn around. Now the Mexican maid gets full power over the border patrol. It
gives all the advantages of

Social Media And Its Effects On Our Lives
In my personal experience, social interaction online it helps me to keep in touch with families,
friends and also for networking, but in general my post is more likely about my family , Selfies or
just simple funny post that I may like. In particular, social media allows me to have easy
communication access with significant otherthat are out of the country.
Many of Us for the most part has been affected by social media in their daily person to person
interaction now days, the texting, email and media account like Facebook just to mention one of
them ,has been eliminating the phone calls, letter or even deeper, it is affecting our relationship
with our families and friends because is more distance .
Recently my family has an event to celebrate one of my uncle s birthdays, in New Jersey,
everything was really nice, a great moment for members of the family to interact because some of
us are living out of the state. During the celebration everyone was on their cell phones taking
pictures and posting on their social media account, including myself.
My family is really big therefore, that event will give us an amazing opportunity for some of us to
know each other, and introduced some new members to one another, such as newly marriages, but
instead we all were more focus on been on our phones posting on social media rather than enjoy
the celebration and make my uncle feel good and happy.
We missed the time when all members of the family were seated in the table, enjoying our

  • 2. Behavioural Disruption In The Classroom All children need to feel safe and respected, so they can learn and develop socially and emotionally however, behavioural disruptions can negatively affect the learning environment causing interruptions in the classroom. To manage behavioural disruptions effectively, it is important to consider the individual s needs in relation to their situation and which behavioural strategy can best support the student. The main goal of behaviour intervention is to guide students to learn and manage their own behaviour (Meyer Evans, 2012). Students may not be fully aware of their basic needs but understand that there are some general circumstances that strongly relate to the way they feel. For example, students realise that when people pay attention to their words or actions they feel powerful; by making choices they feel the importance of freedom; and through laughter they learn about fun (Brooks Young, 2011). These constitute the source of all internal motivation and guide their behaviour. However, the behaviours through which individuals choose to satisfy those needs may be quite different. Individuals choose to behave in different ways to fulfil their needs because their quality worlds are different (Brooks Young, 2011). His name appears on such other titles as The Screwtape Letters, The Problem of Pain, The Weight of Glory, Miracles, and later Mere Christianity, a hallmark of religious classics. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe The first book in The Chronicles of Narnia contains the most obvious Gospel reference. The story first gains traction when the Pevensies bring Christmas to Narnia. [The White Witch] has made a magic so that it is always winter in Narnia always winter, but it never gets to Christmas (The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe 59). It provided a compact, easily memorized way of spreading news in a time bereft of the benefit of mass printing. According to Michael Routledge, who penned a chapter on Crusade songs and poetry in The Oxford Illustrated History of the Crusades, poetry was not only a way of recording and spreading news of current events, but also served to record and extoll the virtues and values of the ruling Medieval aristocracy. As a free agent, so to speak, the Cid would have been able to claim authority over whatever territory he conquered, and could even wage war against his former lord (Nelson 1). Instead, the Cid continues to carry out his duties as a vassal in absentia. The Cid s adventures take him deep into the interior of Moorish Spain and yield a multitude of spoils. Throughout the poem, the Cid sends Alfonso a share of these riches, as a token of his loyalty. On three separate occasions, the Cid sends his loyal vassal, the knight Minaya, to deliver horses taken in battle to Alfonso. The horses, eventually totaling 330, serve as a catalyst for the Cid regaining his lord s favor. The first attempt fails, but the second gains the Cid the right to be reunited with his wife and two daughters. • 22. The Positive Aspects Of Happiness Happiness could be described as the perception that the positive aspects of life outweigh the negative. With this definition, people could often attain ephemeral moments of happiness. When, for example, a man discovers that his favorite baseball team has won the championship, a woman is complimented on her dress, or a child discovers that school has been cancelled for the day, they feel happiness because at that moment some occurrence has caused them to feel that the good in the world exceeds the bad. Long term, sustainable happiness, however, is more elusive. Given time to ponder the ratio of positive to negative in their lives and the world, many people find that happiness is not so easily achievable. The man soon remembers that he has to work a twelve hour day in a factory; the woman returns home to an abusive husband; the child is bullied at school. Whenever possible, people compensate for these adversities with beneficial experiences and insights, so they can achieve happiness most often. Therefore, they tend to ignore the sufferingand atrocities in the world that they perceive as not directly affecting themselves. They choose a happiness that is easily obtained and immediate, yet short term and individual rather than one that is more difficult and time consuming, yet enduring and widespread. Both the collective happiness of society and a person s individual happiness are hindered in the long term by selfish attitudes and conformity to unchallenged traditions, which ... What Is The Role Of Reasoning In Judicial Decision Making It s important to understand how judges come to their decisions, as it can often be more than just simply applying legal principles to get to the relevant solution. It is common for there to be many potential outcomes to a case, and these outcomes shape the way in which laws shift and change thus having a profound impact on society as a whole our laws are what define our civilization, values, beliefs, and morality. As Lord Dyson stated: The business of judging often involves a choice between different conclusions, any of which it may be possible to reach by respectable legal reasoning. The choice made is likely to be motivated at a far deeper level by the judge s own approach to the law . This essay will cover the role of reasoning in judicial decision making; how it allows judges to interpret statute and precedent, as well as leading the way for reform and the establishing of new case law. It will also cover the limitations of reasoning, some of which help keep the balance of power in check Such as binding precedent and the rule of law, as well as other subconscious factors that may influence a judge s ability to use reason when making a decision. Reasoning plays an important role in judicial decision making. No matter how many precedent cases, guidelines, and statutes may exist, reasoning will always be essential because it allows these factors to be interpreted on a case by case basis; this is necessary because statutes are too limited to be able to cover every ... • 29. Informative Essay On Fingerhakeln Fingerhakeln is a sport originating from Germany and Austria that tests your strength in an odd way. The sport dates back to the 17th century and was used to settle disputes and arguments between men. It is sort of like arm wrestling where one person has to prove their strength by making the other person submit to your arm strength but with your finger. This sport is still being played to this day and it even has its own championship with very serious competitors. It might seem like fun to people learning about this, but it is anything but as it takes dedication and a lot of pain tolerance to endure this feat of strength. Fingerhakeln is a simple game to play, all you need is a friend, a table, and a strong ring of some sort (It could be rope, leather, duct tape, ect.). To play, the two players put their middle fingers around the string and start pulling. Whoever pulls the other players finger all the way across the table wins. The competition only lasts for about 1 to 10 seconds so it is hard to declare a victor sometimes without a judge. Like wrestling, people are put into different weight classes to give the contestants a more evenly matched opponent. The Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model The engineering component of the Florida Public Hurricane Loss Model predicts wind and rain damage to a variety of modelled building configurations in an effort to model hurricane losses. The program uses a Monte Carlo approach to probabilistically simulating damage to the exterior components of the models, but currently assigns coststo the damaged components deterministically. This implementation does not capture variations in component costs and building values. This paper investigates replacing the deterministic costing with probabilistic relationships to more accurately reflect the uncertainty of the vulnerability outputs. The results indicate that cost variations do not significantly impact the variation of the vulnerability results. The conclusion of the paper presents possible explanations for this and recommendations for further investigation. Analyble Themes In The Calculus Diaries By Jennifer Ouellette The author of The Calculus Diaries, Jennifer Ouellette, conveys a story to the reader that calculus isn t as evil as everyone makes it seem, and to show its uses in everyday life. This happens expertly by using relatable topics such as gambling in Vegas, how to lose weight, and how to survive the zombie apocalypse. Ouellette makes it a key point that anyone can understand and apply calculus, even those who dread even hearing the term. In addition, since every chapter has a new topic the characters around her vary, but she remains the narrator of the story. One explanation about why she does this is because she describes calculus as being on par with a story where the main character and viewpoint can change the entire meaning of the story.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One weakness this book has though is the fact that it sometimes strayed too far from the main purpose of the book that the reader could become bored before the author reaches her main point. For example, on many occasions throughout the book Ouellette dives too deep into the history of the people who came up with theories, hypotheses, or equations and this distracts from the main purpose of the book, which is to make calculus more engaging for the readers. Finally, this book was enjoyable because it allowed for a better understanding of a complicated topic by using a variety of interesting examples where calculus is important. Also, since the longer chapters where broken up into smaller sections it was easier to read it faster and making the book more pleasurable. I would recommend this book highly to other students who want to go into a career that will deal with a bunch of calculus because it intelligently shows you the basic concepts, but in an easy to understand way. This book challenges the reader to take a step back and look at the more interesting side of calculus to gain a more solid understanding. For the mechanical engineering major, one must complete Calculus I, II, and III, so having a strong foundation of knowledge makes these easier in the long run. In the novel Meridian by Alice Walker, the three central characters, Truman Held, Meridian Hill, and Lynne Rabinowitz are young passionate activists during the Civil Rights Movement. However, the relationship of genders and the racial and generational dynamics mold and influence the actions of the characters. This is an exciting pattern for freedom, movement, change, diversity and variety. One 5 is pleasant because it brings in the qualities of the five pointed star or pentagram. This is a visual of man/woman with arms stretched out into all corners of the biosphere and the heavens. Man/woman is represented as the microcosm of the macrocosm within the 5 pattern. Essentially, this pattern brings in the free flowing ability to traverse all old ideologies set up within humanity and make certain there is evolution as man/woman living as an interconnected organism in the flow of life. Consequently, one 5 can represent the rebel as it does so with Jungarian archetypes. What if a person had more than one five within their own being? What if the person had multiple 5 s that turn into a spiral of energy? Firstly, we have to see the 5 Pentad is a Sacred Geometrical pattern that exists to create order round this energy. The 5 ... • 47. Analysis Of La Migra By Pat Mora La Migra by Pat Mora is a poem that leads to the different points of view of two opposite personnels. This poem was that it had a very simple, common setting and situation. And you have been spotted by the sun... I know this desert, where to rest, where to drink. (Mora 1191). This set of lines tells me that the poem took place somewhere near the border where typically people try to cross the border. When crossing the border, there are some lakes or some deserts, it all depends on which part you cross. Although the desert seems empty and boring, this poem had an interesting situation. It gave the readers a chance to see what the two characters in the poem were seeing through their own pointof view. This poem tends to reveal character when it described the two points of view between the main characters. Let s play La Migra, I ll be the Border Patrol. You be the Mexican maid... Get ready, get set, run. (Mora 1190 1191). This whole first stanza implies that the border patrol will have it s advantages and characteristics over the mexican maid and it doesn t give any of her advantages, just pure weaknesses. It was trying to say that the mexican maid was doomed and the border patrol had full power over her. Let s play La Migra, You ll be the Border Patrol. I ll be the Mexican woman... you do not understand. Get ready. (Mora 1191). Then in the whole second stanza, things start to turn around. Now the Mexican maid gets full power over the border patrol. It gives all the advantages of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
