Paper On Predestination
1. Predestination has always been, for me, a tricky topic/doctrine. I find it very difficult to reconcile
God s choosing the elect with the implications for those who are non elect. It seems very
contradictory, and contrary to His nature, that an all loving God, who loves unregenerate persons as
much (?) as regenerate persons, would essentially choose, whether actively or passively, individuals to
spend eternity in hell. Admittedly, my own theological grasp of hell is somewhat lacking, as I don t
really understand how allowing people to live in torment for all of eternity can be a loving action on
God s part, although I know that it must somehow be loving. While I despise universalism, I can
understand why Christians might wish to twist their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I find the argument that the repentance required for salvation can be considered a work to be
interesting, but ultimately incorrect. It seems to me that repentance, defined as the abandonment of
sin, inspired by godly sorrow for our sin (Erickson 352), is still enabled, or even given to us, by the
Lord, without whose influence we would not be capable, in our total depravity, of experiencing a truly
godly sorrow over our sin. Also, I disagree with the argument that repentance moves us away from
salvation by faith alone, as repentance is part of faith. True faith cannot be separated from repentance
(352), as they are interwoven together, or two sides of the same coin (Zuck 5). For example, the self
stated purpose of the Gospel of John is so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of
God, and that by believing you may have life in His name (English Standard Version, John 20:31).
The entire book of John, which is clearly evangelistic and dedicated to bringing people to faith in
Christ (as God), does not speak of repentance at all, indicating its position as an aspect of conversion
alongside faith, rather than as a separate entity in the process of salvation. Indeed, if repentance is
distinct from faith as a requirement to be saved, then the full gospel is not given by John (Ironside 37
38), which is at odds with his evangelistic purpose. Both repentance and faith are acts, yes, but not
works in and of themselves (or if they are, they are primarily done or

Suffering In The Screwtape Letter
What comes to mind when the word suffering is mentioned? It usually brings up images of pain,
hardship, and unpleasantness. However, C. S. Lewis brings new meaning to suffering in The
Screwtape Letters. In one of the letters, Screwtape writes to Wormwood about the paradoxial use that
God makes of our suffering. By the end of Chapter 8, the reader is left to see that suffering itself can
be more powerful than times of ease and happiness in drawing someone closer to God. To begin with,
the troughs in life can be more valuable to one s soul than the peaks . In chapter 8, Screwtape tells
Wormwood, Now it may surprise you to learn that in His efforts to get permanent possession of a soul,
He relies on the troughs even more than on the peaks;

Book Of Acts Act 1 Analysis
Jesus was the most perfect man of all men, the perfect Son of God. Completely devoted to everyone,
especially the weak. He was the most humble man that ever lived, and not only a servant, but the
lowest slave. He completely put others first before He thought of Himself, the Son of man.Luke seems
to portray Jesus as an ideal man, very appealing to the Greek culture which exalted reason,
philosophy, the human mind, and beauty. Luke s writings were orderly and classical. Luke addressed
his account of the life of Christ and the Acts of the Apostles to a man named Theophilus, it possesses a
style that would appeal to all intelligent gentiles and would certain appeal to any believer. Theophilus
could have been a gentile convert to Christianity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are also statements in Luke that speak of His purity more clearly, like when the centurion said
certainly this was a righteous man (Luke 23:47). The other Gospel accounts seem to have a different
focus in their portrayal of Christ. Luke also seems to reveal Christianity as a religion for all mankind
and not just the Jews. For example, the lineage of Jesus is traced past Abraham all the way back to
Adam the first man. Jesus is seen in Luke as a friend of sinners and a savior to anyone who would
believe in Him. When considering both of Luke s works it is clear that he traces the origin, heart, and
description of the Christian movement from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, to Antioch, to Macedonia, to
Achaia, to Ephesus, and finally to Rome, the capital of the world. He examined eyewitnesses, knew
personally and had close contact with the main followers of Christ like Mark and James, the brother of
the Lord, Paul. Silas who is a member of the Jerusalem Church and no doubt many others.Throughout
the history of the Church and especially during the 1800 s their has been many targeted attacks on the
historical trustworthiness of Luke s writings. As the science of archaeology increased technologically
and archaeological discoveries from the first century were being uncovered, Luke s writings were
emerged as extremely accurate. Luke has been heralded

Deviance Examples
Reading Reflection Number One: The Good, the Bad, and the Change of Deviance GO TO JAIL: Go
directly to Jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Community chest, Monopoly. Unlike board
games, deviance in life is extremely complex. It is not as simple as picking up of an unwanted card,
and is certainly not as of straightforward as spending three turns in jail. Instead, in society today,
deviance is portrayed over many different situations, and it arises for many contrasting reasons based
on society s opinions and views. However, over time society s thoughts and assessments change
leading to a transformation of deviant behavior. First and foremost, there are many devenant actions
that over time go through a moral passage. A moral passage is defined as a change of society s
viewing on a deviant behavior. Simply, a once seemed deviant act becomes socially acceptable. This
change can come about for many different reasons usually ending with the majority of people coming
to an agreement that the act is not worth the demming of deviance. The most common examples of
this is the change of the law of achole. However, there are many other examples of acts deemed
socially acceptable with in time. Most recently, being a homosexual has become in the social norm as
well as even within legal rights. There are many examples of deviant behaviors becoming less deviant
and even considered within the social norm. Further, there are many social norms that over time seem

Sara Lee’s Corporate Strategy
Sara Lee s original corporate strategy prior to retrenchment was to acquire mostly unrelated
businesses to increase overall company profits, which proved to be difficult to manage properly with
such a broad focus. In 2005 when Sara Lee hired a new CEO they announced a plan to become a more
tightly focused food and beverage, and house hold products company. They began by divesting the
weakest preforming businesses and product lines also by exiting businesses that they find to be
nonstrategic.
Since then Sara Lee has completely changed the way the business operates and looks. They ve gone
from a giant and diverse group of businesses to a tightly focus core group of businesses and product
groups.
Sara Lee s competitive strengths will come from the more focused approach on food products and
related businesses as well as significantly reducing their operations in other business units in alternate
industries. With a narrower focus of food products Sara Lee can continue to reduce cost and increase
margins along the primary and secondary activities of the value chain.
Every industry that Sara Lee elected to keep within their portfolio of products is a top producer with
many brands being number one in their category, as well as businesses that have significantly
increasing revenues so the long term attractiveness is greater with the remaining businesses.
Sara Lee s retrenchment strategy has allowed the business to return to its core expertise which is the
food industry. This

Gogol as the Perfect Namesake
Gogol as the Perfect Namesake In Jhumpa Lahiri s novel The Namesake, Indian parents bestow a
Russian name to their first born baby boy; the name is Gogol Ganguli which is after the famous
Russian writer, Nikolai V. Gogol. In Lahiri s novel, the main character fights an identity crisis because
of his highly unusual name. Gogol carries uncertainty about himself throughout the novel because of
his name, He hates his name . . . that is has nothing to do with who he is, that it is neither Indian nor
American but of all things Russian (Lahiri 76). He constantly thinks the name Gogol does not
correlate with his own personality. However, upon exploration of his namesake, a person finds the
name Gogol to be the ideal name for him based on the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the short story, Akaky s mother names him after his father because to give him any other name was
out of the question, (Gogol178). Also, his father is the one who gives Akaky life. And in the novel,
Ashoke gives Gogol his namesake because the short story of The Overcoat allows him a chance to
live, become a father, and give life to his son; the similar concepts of having a difficult time naming
the child and giving the child the name that gives him life, ties the characters of Akaky and Gogol
closely together; and re iterates that Gogol is the perfect namesake for Lahiri s character based upon
Nikolai Gogol s character in The Overcoat. Another aspect of Akaky that further identifies Gogol as
an ideal name for Lahiri s protagonist derives from one simple fact: each of the main characters
changed their names or persona in order to escape their contradictory names. For instance, in the novel
The Namesake, Gogol s identity crisis consumes him to the point where he creates a new name for
himself, He wonders if this is how it feels for an obese person to become thin, for a prisoner to walk
free. I m Nikhil, [he says] (Lahiri 102).
However, the name change in The Namesake is not the significant point that brings Gogol and Akaky
together like identical twins; it is the attitude each character displays once they form a new identity.
For Gogol, the new identity

Obtaining Capital For Expansion Into New Markets
Obtaining Capital A company needs to obtain capital for expansion into new markets and it wants to
obtain these funds from external sources. The ways in which company chooses to obtain these funds
depends upon the short term versus long term financing strategies of the company. As a finance
manager for a Fortune 500 company, the plan is to borrow approximately $100 million within the next
year, and the manager must present to the board the best option for this large financing. By evaluating
the different types of funding options, the finance manager can make the best informed decision for
this capital funding. It is ideal for a company to maximize the total value of the company and
minimize the overall cost of capital (Shim, Siegel Dauber, 2008). These decisions include whether to
issue debt securities, or obtain financing from individuals and whether the funding should be secured
or unsecured. Any capital structure decisions will take into account the nature of the business, strategic
plan of the company, its current capital structure and its anticipated growth.
Debt Financing When a company is deciding whether to use debt financing, it is important to look at
the overall capital structure as each type of financing has its own advantages and disadvantages. A
rapidly growing company needs flexibility in how it structures its financing. Long term debt financing
is financing that extends for more than five years, includes mortgages or bonds, and depends highly

Self Harmers
Self Harmers Should Have to See a State Ordered Therapist Self Harmers Should Have to See a State
Ordered Therapist
Did you know that 1 in 12 teenagers will engage in some form of self harm. We have noticed these
stats have been on the incline for many years now. We are able to handle only when the person is
willing to admit that they themselves have a problem. My Stance on this topic is. Self Harmers should
have to seek therapy from a state ordered therapist and if their behavior continues see about being put
in a mental ward.
Most self harmers start at the age of 12 14. Most of the people that are female with one out of every
five females will commit to self harm, while one out of every seven males will commit to self harming
themselves. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these disorders are eating disorders, depression, anxiety and addiction. We often shun people
who have these disorders, but in reality they are the people who need to most support. If we checked
in on these people the chances of them self harming would in my opinion decrease. Like I mentioned
before in paragraph 3 most people will not self harm with the intention of suicide when they start, but
some people get addicted to the minor pain and the endorphins that are released from the pain that
makes people relaxed and happy. We can compare this to a runners high when you have the most
energy. At this point if they are addicted for this reason this is the perfect time to start a treatment

Reflection On Snap Judgments
Snap judgments are decisions made before all necessary information and facts are gathered. I
sometimes catch myself doing this very often throughout these past couple weeks I ve been doing that
very much unfortunately with some of the work that I have been reading here at Bethel University
sometimes I m so anxious to finish a task that I don t go back and read what I wrote and it causes me
to get a low grade. Sometimes I might catch myself reading an article just trying to find what
keywords to a question that I might be trying to answer when in reality I might be missing a lot more
information from things I m not reading. Unwarranted assumptions are believes and ideas that are
taken for granted sometimes I catch myself doing this as well

The Government And State Government
In understanding the way governments works on a local level, we must first understand that national
government and state government are not the same. The United States uses a system called Federalism
which is a decentralization of the responsibilities of the government. In other words, power is divided
amongst the national and subnational governments all while maintaining a separate and autonomous
authority (Dye Macmanus 56). The purpose for this system is to make sure the national government
doesn t turn into a tyrannical power over the people. This ideology of separation of powers goes even
deeper within the national government and state governments infrastructure. For example, the national
government is divided into 3 main branches, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Each state is governed by these two chambers in their respective state. Due to the autonomy of each
state in the union, services provided and positions on critical issues may vary across states. Moreover,
there is the cultural aspect within each state that plays an influential role in how each state is
governed.
The state of Florida follows the same infrastructure as the national government as far as legislature.
Florida has its own constitution and its legislature is comprised of the two chambers mentioned earlier,
which are the senate and the House of Representatives. Not all states have both chambers and what s
called a bicameral legislature. Nebraska has only one chamber, and thus considered to have a
unicameral legislature. Florida Senate chamber has 40 senators with Joe Negron as president of the
senate. These senators must live in the district of which they serve in. The house of representatives has
120 Representatives with Richard Corcoran as the Speaker of the house. Both chambers are made up
of democratic and republican members.
States such as Florida also has elections which are held for political positions not only in legislature,
but also positions such as Governor. In Florida, the governor is Rick Scott and he is the 45th governor
of Florida. The qualifications to be elected as Florida Governor is you must be no younger than 30

Crystal Research Paper

A crystal is made up of the same materials that a regular glass is made of, such as silica, soda, and
lime, but the addition of lead oxide is what gives crystals their shine. A bead has to have 24% lead
oxide added to qualify as leaded crystal. Contrary to the popular belief, crystals have been around for
a long time. Ancient Egypt, Rome, and other groups have all used crystals for various purposes. It was
used in medicine, magic and rituals, as offerings and currency, as well as important gifts and items of

Generally, heterogeneous nucleation takes place more quickly since the foreign particles act as a place
or structure for the crystal to grow on. Heterogeneous nucleation is slower and can take place by
several methods. Some of the most typical are small inclusions, or cuts, in the container the crystal is
being grown on. (Dr. Helmenstine, A. M. 2011) After nucleation has taken place, then the second stage
is growth. The growth stage is when the crystals actually start to form. The solute molecule in the
solution will be attracted to the protocrystal until more and more molecules bond together and then the
crystal starts to grow until it is a fully formed crystal. Concluding, a crystal has two stages after
supersaturation takes place, nucleation and growth. During these two stages is when the growth and
size of a crystal is determined.
A seed crystal is a common method people use to grow crystals; seed crystal is categorized under
assisted nucleation, so the process of growing a crystal becomes faster. A seed crystal is created by
supersaturation (Banfield, J., amp; Wallace, H. c. 2002). When the supersaturated solution has cooled
down, seed crystals form at the bottom of the solution (Thackwray, M. 2003). After a crystal seed is
formed, it is used to grow a crystal. The crystal seed is tied to a string. Then the crystal seed is

My Experience In Secondary School
Secondary school has been an unrelenting path. These four years of secondary school have had their
excitements and their downfalls. My life had transformed into one that no individual could ever
envision persevering through, an experience so unpleasant that it changed my philosophy and point of
view.
On September second, 2014, my grandfather passed away from a heart attack. He was a cherishing
grandparent as well as a great motivator. He used to tell me I see so much potential in you, and that is
something I held on to all my life. Not only did my grandfather leave my family and me with an
immense ethos, yet additionally left us with an extraordinary measure of dissatisfaction. In the
meantime, with all this happening I had issues of my own in school. My marks were at their most
minimal, and I was attempting my best to bring them back up. I was never too bright in subjects, for
instance, Math or science. Regardless, that was an issue that I expected to oversee by stressing less
and augment more in my studies. I decided to implement many techniques to help me focus in my
studies; I tried to put my phone face down so I can become less distracted although, every time I hear
a buzz and see a glimpse of the screen light up I feel tempted to unlock my phone and see the
notification. I kept on attempting different strategies to enable me to succeed in focusing on my
studies, yet nothing made a difference. I reached a point where I sold my electronic devices such as

he doesn t have to get it from land. Back in the 1860s the ocean was not a very discovered place, so

Reflection Paper About Field Trip
Field Trip Reflection Paper In the course of our field trip last March 5 to the provinces of Bataan and

Filipino culture and, more importantly, how do we preserve it in the rapidly changing times of our
modern world? With the help of this reflection paper, I hope to find the answer and enlighten myself
with the identity of my country and in that effect of myself as a Filipino too. Starting out with a tour of
the many buildings erected in Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan, I noticed that some of the
structures we were introduced to weren t what they were intended to be. Not exactly a pure

purpose of residing there. They are monuments, or even museums, left behind as mementos for ...

appear as burdens, putting a bump in the journey of life. An example of one of these burdens is in
trusting and being trustworthy with yourself and others. When we place trust in people worthy of such
honor ,great challenges can be overcome. In the movie The Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the

Risk Factors For Cardiovascular Disease
Critical Analysis
Introduction
Hypertension impacts nearly 25% of the adult population around the world. It is considered one of the
foremost risk factors for mortality, and is responsible for 13.5% of all deaths. In addition, half of all
strokes and ischemic cardiac disease are triggered from high blood pressure (Pepin et al.2014).
According to the newest guidelines, hypertension is defined as a systolic blood pressure greater than
or equal to 140 or a diastolic blood pressure greater than or equal to 90 (Jin, 2014). Systemic
hypertension remains one of the most modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease. In
hypertensive patients, between 12% 27% require at least 3 medications to achieve sufficient control;
these patients are considered to have resistant hypertension. Furthermore, those with resistant
hypertension have a 50% greater chance of experiencing a cardiovascular event in comparison to
those without resistant hypertension, and according to the literature, the numbers of cases are
increasing (Martinez Garcia et al. 2013). As of recent, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) has been
recognized as a risk factor in the development of hypertension according to European and US
International guidelines (Pepin et al. 2014). Obstructive sleep apnea is characterized by the collapse of
the upper airway during sleep, consequently ending in intermittent asphyxia. Moreover, this disruption
increases brain arousal, transient hypoxemia, and increased sympathetic flow.

Essay About Making Mistakes
Making mistakes is a huge part in life. However, making those mistakes can lead to a successful life.
Learning those mistakes help me change to a different and a better person. I do believe this life lesson
has come across in everybody s life. I know that when you make the mistakes it causes to cry or be
angry; however, in the end of learning from that mistake will have you smiling in the end. In the start
of my life I have always been looked down on. I think it was always for my race. This brought me to a
dark side of myself and I started to do bad things in my life. When I started to understand and go
through racism in my life I began hating mostly all white citizens, treated everyone with no respect. It
did come to me from hate depression in my life and I believed life was only about hate and
depression. I know about the streets how it was, is and, will be. I looked at that path as a better way to
live and keep peace in my life. Once I started to see many things on the streets and became street
smart I began to forget everything I had in my life that was more wonderful than the streets. Once I hit
the streets I began to see things, hear things and, do things no one should ever do. Once I saw one of
my closest friends ending up in the hospital, I saw that I was never grateful for what I had in my life.

the same problems I use to; however, I try to overcome it and continue my life with a smile. One of

someone like me who was always being looked down on and started their lives in the streets can still
graduate and change. In other words, I believe the word change will always mean in the end to change

Criminal Justice Court Observation
I observed court operations at the Plantation Key Government Center in Tavernier, Florida twice: on
October 7th and November 4th. I observed Chief Circuit Judge Carlos Garcia in courtroom A. The
courthouse is located in the 16th Judicial Circuit of Florida and it s a state trial court with general
jurisdiction. The first visit was cut short, in part because it was a lighter criminal day than planned, but
also I was flabbergasted by the lack of professionalism that was present in the Florida Keys
courtroom. I m not sure if it s a court in Paradise problem, or something that is observed at other
courtrooms, however, I m disappointed in what I saw. Lack of professionalism was evident during
both visits from the actors and their actions. On ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They seemed laid back and like they were conversing amongst friends. I m not requesting duels
between the state and defense attorneys, but don t let the defense attorneys waste your time. It was
clear that the State was fairly prepared, at least enough to move on from preliminary hearings into
discovery, yet the state would grant continuances to February of 2015. I think it s great that it s not a
hyper competitive environment, but business still needs to get done. I believe to a certain extent, they
did defend their clients, I feel more zest could have been used, but my standard might be
unrealistically high. Judge Garcia came into court, well prepared, he knew the cases better than the
attorneys, and he was active. He had a very expressive face, and it was clear from his body language,
at times he felt frustrated or disinterested. I feel it was more from, being a former Assistant State
Attorney and the state not necessarily posing the best offense. I feel that many of the issues could have
moved on to the next step in the criminal process. For the cases that were resolved there on the spot,
Mr. Edwards was happy with his outcome Ms. Denum was upset, but not necessarily because of the
outcome. During the first visit, we were still early into the class readings and I had a difficult time
understanding what was occurring. By the second visit, I was able to understand more of what was
going on. The courtroom observation was

Push! Don t push. Pant! Her head was spinning and the room was swirling. The floor stared down at
the ceiling. Samuel heard the commotion My baby! My baby! The aching voice cried out. He rushed
up the stairs like a frightened animal smelling death. Valarie, Valarie. His echoing voice kicked at his
chest. It was seconds but it felt like eternity before he reached his wife. Cold sweat covered her body
as she curled tighter than a fist on the floor in a corner. He wondered if she was dying as the dread
took hold of him and he crawled on his hands and knees and took her in his arms. He felt her warm
breath. Sign of life! His heart thanked God. He sat cradling her as only the beat of his heart spoke.

That leaves you with no choice, but to take to your bed. The kind of sickness, that feels like a dagger
twisting and turning inside. A sickness that can kill you! Valarie sobbed and screamed while holding
her stomach, bending, curling up. Samuel got real scared. Fear gripped him. He was sure that he
would lose her this time one way or another. Either she would lose her mind or die. Valarie was caught
in an abyss, caught in her past and Samuel could do nothing. He had no knowledge or understanding
of what was going on. His heart began to beat faster and faster. He could hear the pounding, the
roaring of its fear. His chest tightened and he struggled for breath. It was baby Sophia who had
brought Valarie out of the bed, although initially she had rejected the baby. But something in Valarie
craved the child. Yet, she could not bear to hold her and she felt sick when the child suckled in search
of breast for milk that she could not give her. Valarie had become hot and distressed, almost afraid, so
afraid. How could she be afraid of this tiny baby lying beside her? It called to her natural instinct,

Health Insurance System
In the United States, there are three basic systems in which healthcare are financed: private insurance,
public insurance, and uninsured. Within private and public insurance, there are several different types
of plans that assist in financing health care. Private health insurance utilizes various healthcare
providers to provide cost sharing in receiving healthcare services through benefits provided by
employers or for premiums (Shi Singh, 2015). Some examples of healthcare providers are commercial
insurance companies, self insured businesses, and managed care organizations (Shi Singh, 2015).

This type of insurance is financed through governmental entities for the elderly, disabled individuals,
low income individuals or families, underprivileged children, Native Americans, and military
members and their families (Shi Singh, 2015). Depending on the services, individuals may be required
to pay a co payment dependent on the program and the financial abilities of the individual or family
(Shi Singh, 2015). The advantage of public health insurance is providing high risk individuals and
their families or veterans and their families with health insurance plans for health care services at a
discount or gratis. Many high risk individuals and their families would not be able to afford health
care services because of the lack of income or ability to work. Also, one of the benefits of serving in
the military is the health care supported by the government for protecting the country. The
disadvantage of public health insurance is the limitation of funds and services subsidized by the
government. Each of these programs are limited by eligibility requirements, approved health care
services, and the budget sustained by governmental

What Does The Poison Tree Represent
A symbol is a person, a place, a creature, an article, or an occasion inside of a bit of composing that
exists on a literal level additionally alludes to something on a figurative level. In relationship with
William Blake s the poison tree, the idea of a tree that is toxic take us back to the Tree of Knowledge
of good and evil from the book of Genesis. Likewise the title of this poem represents its central
symbol. That the speaker sustains his anger against a foe, and it develops into a tree bearing poisonous
fruit. typically, Poison reveals death, malicious; it is normally given to somebody with a specific end
goal to murder them. Tree reveals growth, nature, or an image of rot. Evil is being embodied on a tree.

Sunning arrives again as a symbol of the thing we do to make our indignation develop.
In line 10, the speakers outrage bears an apple splendid. The apple represents the indignation which

speaker s depiction of the apple which is bright and alluring alludes to the desire and enticement of
people.
In line 13, the garden as a symbol alludes to the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Knowledge which the
apple was eaten and prompted the fall of Adam and Eve. Plus, the garden here resembles an image of
the spot in our brain where we let our resentment develop and get to be damaging.
In line 16, the speaker s anger has developed from a little plant into a tree. Here the tree spins around

Why I Choose To Go To College
Making big life decisions is something that everyone has to go through. Senior year, one must decide
what they are doing after high school, whether it be the military, college, or going straight into the
workforce. Personally, I am going to choose to continue my education and go to college. Deciding to
go to college brings upon many other decisions like what type of college, where the college is located,
what major to study, etc. Senior year is a great time for students to do research and start to think about
their future life plans. Baldwin Wallace and The University of Findlay are similar in size and major,

physician assistant graduate program that I am interested in. After receiving an undergraduate degree
in either pre medicine, biology, or chemistry, one must apply to the graduate program. This two year
program is intense; it includes one year of required classwork and one year of clinicals ( Physician
Assistant Program ). Since both my parents work at the University of Findlay, I am able to receive free
tuition. This also means I can apply for the free tuition to exchange to other private schools. I have
applied for the tuition exchange program to receive exchange from University of Findlay to Baldwin
Wallace. The decisions for this program are strict and sometimes not decided until early spring

exchange, the student must still pay for room and board and the meal plan. At BW, the room and board

Revelation and Rebirth in Helena Viramonte s The Moths
The famous phrase looks may be deceiving strongly pertains to Helena Viramontes s short story, The
Moths. The story, instead of focusing the creatures in the title, is actually about a young girl who
comes of age as she is faced with the deterioration and death of her grandmother. Even though the
title, The Moths, seems to have no relevance at the beginning, these creatures help to portray a sense
of spirituality, rebirth, and become, finally, an incarnation of the grandmother. The relationship
between the moths and the main characters aids in conveying the main theme of the story, which is not
simply the death of a loved one, but a spiritual and maturing experience ... Show more content on

Before Abuelita dies the author uses the sun to describe rebirths: There comes a time when the sun is
defiant . . . a second when the sun is finally defeated, finally sinks into the realization that it cannot
with all its power to heal or burn exist forever . . . although endings are inevitable, they are necessary
for rebirths (1241). This description is very precise in the sense of rebirths because the sun dies and
then is reborn every morning. The quote and when that time came [sunset], just when I switched on
the light . . . was probably then that she died (1241) refers back to the spiritual aspect of the light
being heaven, and this is when the doors of heaven first open for Abuelita. Abuelita?s rebirth is of
spiritual nature and is started when the moths carry her soul through the doors of heaven.
Through the spiritual rebirth of the grandmother, the grandchild experiences a spiritual and personal
rebirth of her own. It is the death of her grandmother which helps her mature or see the light. Evidence
of the grandchild maturing is seen in the contrast between the beginning when she remarks, I wasn?t
respectful either I even went so far as to doubt the power of Abuelita?s slices (1239) and her respectful
behavior at the end. The regret she feels for the way she acted becomes apparent in the end when she
is toweling her grandmother?s body. Notable evidence of the grandchild?s change in attitude is

Hope for Melal Essay examples
Hope for Melal
The book Melal by Robert Barclay takes place in 1981 in The Marshall Islands of the South Pacific.
The people known as the Marshallese are the natives to these islands. Overtime other cultures began to
settle on these islands also, such as the Spanish, Japanese, and Americans. Out of these three cultures
the Americans were the most domineering and devastating to the Marshallese people. The Americans
took over the Marshallese native land and forced all of them to live on one island in deplorable
conditions. The Marshallese had their freedom revoked from them; they then had to live under the
Americans rules. Two of the Marshallese characters in this story who believes strongly in withholding

This took place after Rujen tried to integrate for such a long time with the Americans, which lead

Marshallese and should stop pretending to be something he is not. Yokwe, he said, he drove the knife
down. That was when blood came up from the mouth of the mermaid on Good Friday, 1981 (Barclay
262). I think this is Rujen s first sign that he has belief that there is still hope for the Marshallese.
Rujen performed this act of killing the dolphin, because the Marshallese people believe that it is bad
luck to not kill any dolphin that came into the lagoon. This is Rujen s way of standing up for the
traditions and culture he was brought up in. If Rujen did not perform this task, the Americans were
going to make it a law that it was illegal to kill dolphins. The fact that Rujen got away with this task,
gives all Marshallese people hope that their traditions can still be performed. The second sign of Rujen
s hope in this story is shown in the following passage, How could a Marshallese be trespassing on a
Marshallese island? The ticket filled Rujen with an unbearable loathing of the ignorant man who had
written it. He waved the ticket in front of Oly s face, nearly slapping him with it. Maybe you better

Bounty Hunter Levi Owens Essay
Bounty hunter Levi Owens glared at the wanted poster one last time. He folded the tattered notice and
slid it into his vest pocket. All he needed was two weeks to track the swindler and another to drag his
worthless hide back to Austin. All he wanted was to shoot him dead.
His pack mule kicked out and Levi cursed its previous owner. A poorly trained animal took a lot of
work, but right now, it was all he could afford. He loaded the last bag of the provisions on the mule
and pulled a tarp over the rest of his supplies. When he turned around, he locked eyes with his
widowed sister in law Rose. She wrapped her hands around a smooth handled shovel and stabbed it
into the ground.
Six months ago, Levi buried his wife Anna. In many ways, Rose looked ... Show more content on

Sisyphus
Taylor finds the meaning of life in the inner compulsion to be doing just what we were put here to do,
and to go on doing it forever. The way Richard phrased his argument is perplexed and quite
ambiguous. It may well be, that Taylor was inattentive with his formulation and all he meant to say
was that a life is meaningful if the one who lives it can do what is in their nature to do, and pursue the
goals that their nature calls for. Would we then be able to conclude that it is in Sisyphus s nature to
ram rocks up hills and finds fulfillment in his eternal labor. Fulfilment, only makes our lives
meaningful if it is a fitting fulfilment. The problem is that we may not always exactly know which
activities merit our love. In the case of Sisyphus, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also stated that no action or project really gives life it s absolute meaning. In both cases, the
seemingly endless nightmare of eternal and pointless activity has now been overridden with the
scorching Hell of eternal absence. According to Taylor, humanity feels the deep need to have a
destiny, to fulfill an inner compulsion to be doing just what we were put here to do. This idea is what
makes life so meaningful. The meaning is in the passion of doing of things, not necessarily in what
that doing leads to. As Taylor stated, The meaning of life is from within us, it is not bestowed from
without, and it far exceeds in both beauty and permanence any heaven of which men have ever
dreamed or yearned for (484). The point of living is simply to be living whether that s doing what one
loves to do or simply getting through every day. While agreeing with Taylor, I must add that instead of
asking whether life has been good for a certain person, we should be asking whether it has been
admirable or if it has been something to proud of. To summarize, we give meaning to our lives by the
active engagement our wills have in our

company for a period of time. The employees have worked and communicated well with each other.

You would then have trouble listening to others or understanding the message conveyed to you. Some
examples are hostility, anger, resentfulness, and fear. The fourth barrier is lack of subject knowledge.
If you send a message with the lack of subject knowledge then the receiver may not be able to convey
your message clearly. The final barrier in communication is stress. Stress is one of the major barriers
faced by employees in most organizations. When a person is under stress, they may have difficulty
understanding the message. This will lead to communication distortion. Our psychological frame of
mind depends on our beliefs, experiences, goals, and values. Thus, we fail to realize the essence of
communication. You can overcome these barriers through effective and active listening. To overcome
these barriers, you will need to conduct personal interviews with your employees. By doing this, you
will discover the areas of difficulty and challenge within your group. You will need to meet with each
employee individually and discover their personal opinions and experiences within the office. Make
sure you ask precise questions about communication barriers. You will need to develop a survey and
require each employee to participate anonymously. The survey should contain from 20 25 questions.
The questions should be able to reflect all the barriers in the office. Have your employees turn the
survey in

I recently had an issue with another qualified medication aide that was documenting the wrong charts
and I immediately reported it to my charge nurse so she could resolve the issue. The charge nurse
would either solve the problem the majority of the time or she might refer it to her supervisor.
The horizontal flow at PVL would be team member communication with one another about solving
problems, coordinating tasks, and sharing existing or new information among one another. For
example, one of the qualified medication aides would leave sticky notes in the residents chart for other
qualified medication aides. She would write something like John Doe has three Keflex pills left over
and his seven day antibiotic is over. Basically communicating to myself and a few others stating that
one of us missed a pill. This is one of the ways we QMA s communicate horizontally. Another way
our employees communicate in the same department would be by giving shift reports before clocking
out and going home. It is a policy that workers relieving another co worker should give a report before
leaving the facility.
The informal channels of communication show that our facility has much of this type of
communication. All staff at the facility have social relationships with other people at the facility. Most

And yes, it s also native in the Philippines, but it s not found solely in that part of the country, but in

Metaphors In Tango Dance
Metaphors can consist of activities, circumstances or associations. An example of a cultural metaphor
would be Tango, a sensual dance that reflects the spice of the food, the rhythm of the instruments and
the passion for life in Argentina. The Tango intertwines with the tunes of Tango, which is composed of
the sounds of the solo guitar, violin, flute, piano, double bass, bandoneóns. There is a direct link and
connection between metaphors and culture that defines an expression of Argentinian culture. There are
many elements in the creation and origin of a metaphor that help define the connection and bond

Europeans adjusted the politics of Argentina and introduced new movements from their countries,
including labor unity, abolishment of government restraint and communism. Many changes took place
in the country, resulting in shifts of the Tango movement from its peak of acceptance to when it was
forced underground and to where Tango stands today. The Great Depression caused the GDP in
Argentina to drop between 1929 and 1932 but soon recovered in the 1930s with a trade and economic
policy that supported replacing foreign imports with domestic production. World War II led to a
decrease in available imports, which resulted in higher prices for exports. Soon after, the country
began to benefit from self financing and government loans that added value to the manufacturing
system and opened up an opportunity for employment. In addition, the British arrived in Argentina
and began to develop a railway network across the country. The railway changed Argentina from
being uninhabited to being a very convenient place with rising wealth. The railway created an

Strategic Marketing Principles
Strategic Marketing Principles
Introduction
Being strategic when spending marketing dollars is important for any company regardless of size. A
business, for this case British Airways, can only be as successful as its marketing initiatives. A
company is said to be market driven when it is focused on the market that it is in and the customers
who define that market (Buggie, 1993). Sometimes a company will examine the overall market they
are in and try to redefine it so that they can cover a niche. British Airways is trying to focus its drive in
its market so that customers look to the company as the leading premier air carrier. In order for the
company to do this, they have to alter long held perceptions by changing the way that they do
business. British Airways has started doing this by employing two distinct methodologies. First British
Airways merged with Iberia which gives them a wider customer base, and they formed alliances with
other national carriers such as Qantas and American Airlines. The company also needed to have a look
that bespoke luxury, so they have also upgraded their facilities in the airports they serve (specifically
Heathrow). The purpose of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of British Airways plans to
expand their business and improve their services through a strategic marketing analysis.
Background
British Airways became an organized airline in 1971 (British Airways, 2011). Through the years the
airline has been forced to change as the

One of the nation s youngest presidents to be inaugurated, John F Kennedy was born on May 29th,
1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He is the second son of nine children to Irish Catholic immigrants,

  • 2. Paper On Predestination 1. Predestination has always been, for me, a tricky topic/doctrine. I find it very difficult to reconcile God s choosing the elect with the implications for those who are non elect. It seems very contradictory, and contrary to His nature, that an all loving God, who loves unregenerate persons as much (?) as regenerate persons, would essentially choose, whether actively or passively, individuals to spend eternity in hell. Admittedly, my own theological grasp of hell is somewhat lacking, as I don t really understand how allowing people to live in torment for all of eternity can be a loving action on God s part, although I know that it must somehow be loving. While I despise universalism, I can understand why Christians might wish to twist their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I find the argument that the repentance required for salvation can be considered a work to be interesting, but ultimately incorrect. It seems to me that repentance, defined as the abandonment of sin, inspired by godly sorrow for our sin (Erickson 352), is still enabled, or even given to us, by the Lord, without whose influence we would not be capable, in our total depravity, of experiencing a truly godly sorrow over our sin. Also, I disagree with the argument that repentance moves us away from salvation by faith alone, as repentance is part of faith. True faith cannot be separated from repentance (352), as they are interwoven together, or two sides of the same coin (Zuck 5). For example, the self stated purpose of the Gospel of John is so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name (English Standard Version, John 20:31). The entire book of John, which is clearly evangelistic and dedicated to bringing people to faith in Christ (as God), does not speak of repentance at all, indicating its position as an aspect of conversion alongside faith, rather than as a separate entity in the process of salvation. Indeed, if repentance is distinct from faith as a requirement to be saved, then the full gospel is not given by John (Ironside 37 38), which is at odds with his evangelistic purpose. Both repentance and faith are acts, yes, but not works in and of themselves (or if they are, they are primarily done or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Suffering In The Screwtape Letter What comes to mind when the word suffering is mentioned? It usually brings up images of pain, hardship, and unpleasantness. However, C. S. Lewis brings new meaning to suffering in The Screwtape Letters. In one of the letters, Screwtape writes to Wormwood about the paradoxial use that God makes of our suffering. By the end of Chapter 8, the reader is left to see that suffering itself can be more powerful than times of ease and happiness in drawing someone closer to God. To begin with, the troughs in life can be more valuable to one s soul than the peaks . In chapter 8, Screwtape tells Wormwood, Now it may surprise you to learn that in His efforts to get permanent possession of a soul, He relies on the troughs even more than on the peaks; ... • 4. Book Of Acts Act 1 Analysis Jesus was the most perfect man of all men, the perfect Son of God. Completely devoted to everyone, especially the weak. He was the most humble man that ever lived, and not only a servant, but the lowest slave. He completely put others first before He thought of Himself, the Son of man.Luke seems to portray Jesus as an ideal man, very appealing to the Greek culture which exalted reason, philosophy, the human mind, and beauty. Luke s writings were orderly and classical. Luke addressed his account of the life of Christ and the Acts of the Apostles to a man named Theophilus, it possesses a style that would appeal to all intelligent gentiles and would certain appeal to any believer. Theophilus could have been a gentile convert to Christianity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are also statements in Luke that speak of His purity more clearly, like when the centurion said certainly this was a righteous man (Luke 23:47). The other Gospel accounts seem to have a different focus in their portrayal of Christ. Luke also seems to reveal Christianity as a religion for all mankind and not just the Jews. For example, the lineage of Jesus is traced past Abraham all the way back to Adam the first man. Jesus is seen in Luke as a friend of sinners and a savior to anyone who would believe in Him. When considering both of Luke s works it is clear that he traces the origin, heart, and description of the Christian movement from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, to Antioch, to Macedonia, to Achaia, to Ephesus, and finally to Rome, the capital of the world. He examined eyewitnesses, knew personally and had close contact with the main followers of Christ like Mark and James, the brother of the Lord, Paul. Silas who is a member of the Jerusalem Church and no doubt many others.Throughout the history of the Church and especially during the 1800 s their has been many targeted attacks on the historical trustworthiness of Luke s writings. As the science of archaeology increased technologically and archaeological discoveries from the first century were being uncovered, Luke s writings were emerged as extremely accurate. • 5. Deviance Examples Reading Reflection Number One: The Good, the Bad, and the Change of Deviance GO TO JAIL: Go directly to Jail. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200. Community chest, Monopoly. Unlike board games, deviance in life is extremely complex. It is not as simple as picking up of an unwanted card, and is certainly not as of straightforward as spending three turns in jail. Instead, in society today, deviance is portrayed over many different situations, and it arises for many contrasting reasons based on society s opinions and views. However, over time society s thoughts and assessments change leading to a transformation of deviant behavior. First and foremost, there are many devenant actions that over time go through a moral passage. A moral passage is defined as a change of society s viewing on a deviant behavior. Simply, a once seemed deviant act becomes socially acceptable. This change can come about for many different reasons usually ending with the majority of people coming to an agreement that the act is not worth the demming of deviance. The most common examples of this is the change of the law of achole. However, there are many other examples of acts deemed socially acceptable with in time. Most recently, being a homosexual has become in the social norm as well as even within legal rights. There are many examples of deviant behaviors becoming less deviant and even considered within the social norm. Further, there are many social norms that over time seem to turn backwards ... • 6. Sara Lee’s Corporate Strategy Sara Lee s original corporate strategy prior to retrenchment was to acquire mostly unrelated businesses to increase overall company profits, which proved to be difficult to manage properly with such a broad focus. In 2005 when Sara Lee hired a new CEO they announced a plan to become a more tightly focused food and beverage, and house hold products company. They began by divesting the weakest preforming businesses and product lines also by exiting businesses that they find to be nonstrategic. Since then Sara Lee has completely changed the way the business operates and looks. They ve gone from a giant and diverse group of businesses to a tightly focus core group of businesses and product groups. Sara Lee s competitive strengths will come from the more focused approach on food products and related businesses as well as significantly reducing their operations in other business units in alternate industries. With a narrower focus of food products Sara Lee can continue to reduce cost and increase margins along the primary and secondary activities of the value chain. Every industry that Sara Lee elected to keep within their portfolio of products is a top producer with many brands being number one in their category, as well as businesses that have significantly increasing revenues so the long term attractiveness is greater with the remaining businesses. Sara Lee s retrenchment strategy has allowed the business to return to its core expertise which is the food industry. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Gogol as the Perfect Namesake Gogol as the Perfect Namesake In Jhumpa Lahiri s novel The Namesake, Indian parents bestow a Russian name to their first born baby boy; the name is Gogol Ganguli which is after the famous Russian writer, Nikolai V. Gogol. In Lahiri s novel, the main character fights an identity crisis because of his highly unusual name. Gogol carries uncertainty about himself throughout the novel because of his name, He hates his name . . . that is has nothing to do with who he is, that it is neither Indian nor American but of all things Russian (Lahiri 76). He constantly thinks the name Gogol does not correlate with his own personality. However, upon exploration of his namesake, a person finds the name Gogol to be the ideal name for him based on the ... Also, his father is the one who gives Akaky life. And in the novel, Ashoke gives Gogol his namesake because the short story of The Overcoat allows him a chance to live, become a father, and give life to his son; the similar concepts of having a difficult time naming the child and giving the child the name that gives him life, ties the characters of Akaky and Gogol closely together; and re iterates that Gogol is the perfect namesake for Lahiri s character based upon Nikolai Gogol s character in The Overcoat. Another aspect of Akaky that further identifies Gogol as an ideal name for Lahiri s protagonist derives from one simple fact: each of the main characters changed their names or persona in order to escape their contradictory names. For instance, in the novel The Namesake, Gogol s identity crisis consumes him to the point where he creates a new name for himself, He wonders if this is how it feels for an obese person to become thin, for a prisoner to walk free. I m Nikhil, [he says] (Lahiri 102). However, the name change in The Namesake is not the significant point that brings Gogol and Akaky together like identical twins; it is the attitude each character displays once they form a new identity. • 8. Obtaining Capital For Expansion Into New Markets Obtaining Capital A company needs to obtain capital for expansion into new markets and it wants to obtain these funds from external sources. The ways in which company chooses to obtain these funds depends upon the short term versus long term financing strategies of the company. As a finance manager for a Fortune 500 company, the plan is to borrow approximately $100 million within the next year, and the manager must present to the board the best option for this large financing. By evaluating the different types of funding options, the finance manager can make the best informed decision for this capital funding. It is ideal for a company to maximize the total value of the company and minimize the overall cost of capital (Shim, Siegel Dauber, 2008). These decisions include whether to issue debt securities, or obtain financing from individuals and whether the funding should be secured or unsecured. Any capital structure decisions will take into account the nature of the business, strategic plan of the company, its current capital structure and its anticipated growth. Debt Financing When a company is deciding whether to use debt financing, it is important to look at the overall capital structure as each type of financing has its own advantages and disadvantages. A rapidly growing company needs flexibility in how it structures its financing. We have noticed these stats have been on the incline for many years now. We are able to handle only when the person is willing to admit that they themselves have a problem. My Stance on this topic is. Self Harmers should have to seek therapy from a state ordered therapist and if their behavior continues see about being put in a mental ward. • 11. The Government And State Government In understanding the way governments works on a local level, we must first understand that national government and state government are not the same. The United States uses a system called Federalism which is a decentralization of the responsibilities of the government. In other words, power is divided amongst the national and subnational governments all while maintaining a separate and autonomous authority (Dye Macmanus 56). The purpose for this system is to make sure the national government doesn t turn into a tyrannical power over the people. This ideology of separation of powers goes even deeper within the national government and state governments infrastructure. For example, the national government is divided into 3 main branches, ... Ancient Egypt, Rome, and other groups have all used crystals for various purposes. It was used in medicine, magic and rituals, as offerings and currency, as well as important gifts and items of beauty. Heterogeneous nucleation is slower and can take place by several methods. Some of the most typical are small inclusions, or cuts, in the container the crystal is being grown on. (Dr. Helmenstine, A. M. 2011) After nucleation has taken place, then the second stage is growth. The growth stage is when the crystals actually start to form. The solute molecule in the solution will be attracted to the protocrystal until more and more molecules bond together and then the crystal starts to grow until it is a fully formed crystal. Concluding, a crystal has two stages after supersaturation takes place, nucleation and growth. During these two stages is when the growth and size of a crystal is determined. A seed crystal is a common method people use to grow crystals; seed crystal is categorized under assisted nucleation, so the process of growing a crystal becomes faster. A seed crystal is created by supersaturation (Banfield, J., amp; Wallace, H. c. 2002). When the supersaturated solution has cooled down, seed crystals form at the bottom of the solution (Thackwray, M. 2003). After a crystal seed is formed, it is used to grow a crystal. My life had transformed into one that no individual could ever envision persevering through, an experience so unpleasant that it changed my philosophy and point of view. On September second, 2014, my grandfather passed away from a heart attack. He was a cherishing grandparent as well as a great motivator. He used to tell me I see so much potential in you, and that is something I held on to all my life. Not only did my grandfather leave my family and me with an immense ethos, yet additionally left us with an extraordinary measure of dissatisfaction. In the meantime, with all this happening I had issues of my own in school. My marks were at their most minimal, and I was attempting my best to bring them back up. I was never too bright in subjects, for instance, Math or science. Regardless, that was an issue that I expected to oversee by stressing less and augment more in my studies. I decided to implement many techniques to help me focus in my studies; I tried to put my phone face down so I can become less distracted although, every time I hear a buzz and see a glimpse of the screen light up I feel tempted to unlock my phone and see the notification. Reflection Paper About Field Trip Field Trip Reflection Paper In the course of our field trip last March 5 to the provinces of Bataan and Laguna, one question had come up to me as I marvel at the various sites in our trip. What is really our Filipino culture and, more importantly, how do we preserve it in the rapidly changing times of our modern world? The final barrier in communication is stress. Stress is one of the major barriers faced by employees in most organizations. When a person is under stress, they may have difficulty understanding the message. This will lead to communication distortion. Our psychological frame of mind depends on our beliefs, experiences, goals, and values. Thus, we fail to realize the essence of communication. You can overcome these barriers through effective and active listening. To overcome these barriers, you will need to conduct personal interviews with your employees. By doing this, you will discover the areas of difficulty and challenge within your group. You will need to meet with each employee individually and discover their personal opinions and experiences within the office. Make sure you ask precise questions about communication barriers. You will need to develop a survey and require each employee to participate anonymously. The survey should contain from 20 25 questions. The questions should be able to reflect all the barriers in the office. Have your employees turn the survey in

  • 34. Oppressor Communication at Pleasant View Lodge There are many different ways communication is handled in companies. The nature of my employment is that I am a qualified medication aide short for a Q.M.A. A qualified medication aide (Q.M.A.) administers non injectable medications, assist in care of residents, crush medication to be administered, apply topical treatments, and deliver medication in a timely manner. All patients are under the supervision of a registered nurse. A qualified medication aide is required to remain educated on medications, the drug class of medications, and to know the dangers of combining certain medications. They should remain CPR certified and know what to do upon an overdose. Every employer has a chain of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I recently had an issue with another qualified medication aide that was documenting the wrong charts and I immediately reported it to my charge nurse so she could resolve the issue. The charge nurse would either solve the problem the majority of the time or she might refer it to her supervisor. The horizontal flow at PVL would be team member communication with one another about solving problems, coordinating tasks, and sharing existing or new information among one another. For example, one of the qualified medication aides would leave sticky notes in the residents chart for other qualified medication aides. She would write something like John Doe has three Keflex pills left over and his seven day antibiotic is over. Basically communicating to myself and a few others stating that one of us missed a pill. This is one of the ways we QMA s communicate horizontally. Another way our employees communicate in the same department would be by giving shift reports before clocking out and going home. It is a policy that workers relieving another co worker should give a report before leaving the facility. The informal channels of communication show that our facility has much of this type of communication. All staff at the facility have social relationships with other people at the facility. Most of the gossip at PVL take place in the break room, in the dining room as they re serving meals to residents, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 35. My Journey In The Philippines I have always been interested in my heritage, thus I do my best to indulge myself in the culture of the Philippines here in The United States to the best of my ability. As a result, my pilgrimage will take place in the Philippines, but not just to go and see the sights and enjoy the food, but to find a rainbow Eucalyptus tree, The tree is the only Eucalyptus species found naturally in the northern hemisphere. And yes, it s also native in the Philippines, but it s not found solely in that part of the country, but in other islands as well, such as Negros. (The Rainbow Tree of Bago City) This journey will test my knowledge of the botany and wildlife in the Philippines, without ever being there myself. As well as push me out of my introverted self, being forced to communicate with random people, to achieve my goal. With the hope of obtaining knowledge and experiences that my ancestor may have endured that will possibly have a life lasting effect on me. Within the Philippines, multiple languages are spoken, due to the very tribal attributes that the Philippines has. Thus, before I begin on my journey, I would have to learn and relearn some of the languages including, but not limited to, Tagalog, Ilocano, and Bisaya... (Major Languages of the Philippines) so that I may be able to communicate on my own without the need for an interpreter, to be somewhat self sufficient. Another barrier will be the weather, for the Philippines tends to have more humidity and rain than Texas, thus ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An example of a cultural metaphor would be Tango, a sensual dance that reflects the spice of the food, the rhythm of the instruments and the passion for life in Argentina. The Tango intertwines with the tunes of Tango, which is composed of the sounds of the solo guitar, violin, flute, piano, double bass, bandoneóns. There is a direct link and connection between metaphors and culture that defines an expression of Argentinian culture. Europeans adjusted the politics of Argentina and introduced new movements from their countries, including labor unity, abolishment of government restraint and communism. Many changes took place in the country, resulting in shifts of the Tango movement from its peak of acceptance to when it was forced underground and to where Tango stands today. The Great Depression caused the GDP in Argentina to drop between 1929 and 1932 but soon recovered in the 1930s with a trade and economic policy that supported replacing foreign imports with domestic production. World War II led to a decrease in available imports, which resulted in higher prices for exports. Soon after, the country began to benefit from self financing and government loans that added value to the manufacturing system and opened up an opportunity for employment. In addition, the British arrived in Argentina and began to develop a railway network across the country. The railway changed Argentina from being uninhabited to being a very convenient place with rising wealth. The railway created an opportunity for exportation of agricultural produce and minerals. These changes, then created jobs and a high demand for workers as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. Strategic Marketing Principles Strategic Marketing Principles Introduction Being strategic when spending marketing dollars is important for any company regardless of size. A business, for this case British Airways, can only be as successful as its marketing initiatives. A company is said to be market driven when it is focused on the market that it is in and the customers who define that market (Buggie, 1993). Sometimes a company will examine the overall market they are in and try to redefine it so that they can cover a niche. British Airways is trying to focus its drive in its market so that customers look to the company as the leading premier air carrier. In order for the company to do this, they have to alter long held perceptions by changing the way that they do business. British Airways has started doing this by employing two distinct methodologies. First British Airways merged with Iberia which gives them a wider customer base, and they formed alliances with other national carriers such as Qantas and American Airlines. The company also needed to have a look that bespoke luxury, so they have also upgraded their facilities in the airports they serve (specifically Heathrow). The purpose of this paper is to examine the effectiveness of British Airways plans to expand their business and improve their services through a strategic marketing analysis. Background British Airways became an organized airline in 1971 (British Airways, 2011). Through the years the airline has been forced to change as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Johnson under the Democratic Party against Republican nominee Richard Nixon and his running mate Henry Lodge Cabot Jr. Throughout the campaign, Kennedy wanted to take the country into a New Frontier where America could progress beyond what the two presidents before him accomplished and find better methods on how to deal with issues (Deahl). Despite Kennedy s high calcifications and vast experience, he was Catholic and many voters feared he might be under the Pope s influence. Nonetheless, he proved himself to the American people when both candidates debated live on television, one of the first debates live in American history.
