LibreOffice is a free and open-source office suite that provides fully-featured word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, formula, and database applications. It can open and save files in common formats like those of Microsoft Office as well as its own open document format. The suite includes Writer for word processing, Calc for spreadsheets, Impress for presentations, Draw for illustrations, Math for formulas, and Base for databases. LibreOffice provides all the functionality expected in an office suite at no cost while maintaining an open format that is not tied to any single vendor.

 Its native file format is open document format

a standalone tool.

Mathematical Markup Language (MathML) format
for inclusion in web pages and other documents
