   by all team members

   Key stakeholders understand and value the Vision

An effective Vision…
 is achievable, aspirational, enduring
 enables clarity of purpose
 is communicated and understood
 is inspirational, motivational, exciting
 provides ‘meaning’ to any plan, activity, action
 requires the team to be organised, prepared, capable
 is nothing without commitment
 requires certain behaviours, attitudes, values
 cannot be delivered with low Morale

  • 3. We will explore What an effective Vision looks like How we set ourselves up for success How we can leverage the Vision in recovery from set-backs
  • 4. What does an effective Vision look like?
  • 6. A definition of Vision The team has a clear direction and purpose that is aligned to business objectives The Vision is shared, understood and bought into by all team members It has relevance to all that the team does Key stakeholders understand and value the Vision
  • 7. Some example statements Walt Disney: “To make people happy” Twitter: “To instantly connect people everywhere to what’s important to them” Facebook: “To give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected” Google: “To organise the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful” Nike: “To bring inspiration and innovation to every athlete in the world” Microsoft: “We are inspired every day by the genuine belief that we can change the world for the better”

An effective Vision… is achievable, aspirational, enduring enables clarity of purpose is communicated and understood is inspirational, motivational, exciting provides ‘meaning’ to any plan, activity, action requires the team to be organised, prepared, capable is nothing without commitment requires certain behaviours, attitudes, values cannot be delivered with low Morale
