Students practice reading real food menu and write information of
food their own.

Students are able to reading real food menu and writing the
information about food their own.

1. Students will be able to pronounce the words about food
menu vocabularies. (P)
2. Students will be able to read real menu, ask and answer
about ordering food by using the structure correctly. (P)
3. Students will be able to compare the costof food on real
menu. (K)
4. Students participle the activities enthusiastically. (A)

4.1 Skills: reading and writing
4.2 Vocabulary: appetizer, vegetarian appetizer, salad, soup, fried
rice, noodles, grill, desserts, curries, stir fry
4.3 Function:
- Reading real food menu and writing information about food.
-Asking and answering about ordering food.

- Ordering food

5. Processoflearning
Warm up (5 minutes)
1. Teacher greets the students.
T: Good morning students.
T: How are you today?
2. Teacher asks students.
T: How often do you eat out?
T: Have you ever eaten food at restaurant?
Presentation(15 minutes)
3. Teacher shows flashcards and picture cards about food menu
vocabularies.
4. Teacher pronounces food menu vocabularies, and every student
repeats them after teacher.
5. Teacher shows students the structure; how to ask and answer ordering
food.

Ask and answer
A: May I take your order? B: Yes, I’d like………….., please.
Practice (15 minutes)
6. Students ask and answer about ordering food with his/her partner by
role play (server and guest)

7. Students do Worksheet A.
Wrap up

Lesson Plan Unit1: Food recipe Topic: Eating Out Subject: English Level: Grade 6 Times: 1 hour By Supakdee Wannatong 56100102140 B.Ed.English 4/3 Learning Standards and Indicators 1.1 Strand 1: Language for Communication 1.1.1 Standard FL1.1: Understanding and ability in interpreting what has been heard and read from various types of media, and ability to express opinions with reasons 1.1.1.1 Grade level indicators 6/1: Act in compliance with orders, requests and instructions heard and read. 1.1.2 Standard FL1.2: Possessing language communication skills for effective exchange of information; efficient expression of feelings and opinions 1.1.2.1 Grade level indicators 6/1: Speak/write in an exchange in interpersonal communication. 1.1.3 Standard FL1.3: Ability to speak and write about information, concepts and views on various matters 1.1.3.1 Grade level indicators 6/1: Speak/write to give information about themselves, their friends and the environment around them. 2. Concept Students practice reading real food menu and write information of food their own. 3. Objective: 3.1 Terminal Objective Students are able to reading real food menu and writing the information about food their own.
  • 2. 3.2 BehavioralObjective 1. Students will be able to pronounce the words about food menu vocabularies. (P) 2. Students will be able to read real menu, ask and answer about ordering food by using the structure correctly. (P) 3. Students will be able to compare the costof food on real menu. (K) 4. Students participle the activities enthusiastically. (A) 4. Content 4.1 Skills: reading and writing 4.2 Vocabulary: appetizer, vegetarian appetizer, salad, soup, fried rice, noodles, grill, desserts, curries, stir fry 4.3 Function: - Reading real food menu and writing information about food. -Asking and answering about ordering food. 4.4 Structure: - Ordering food Ask and answer A: May I take your order? B: Yes, I’d like………….., please.
  • 3. 5. Processoflearning Warm up (5 minutes) 1. Teacher greets the students. T: Good morning students. T: How are you today? 2. Teacher asks students. T: How often do you eat out? T: Have you ever eaten food at restaurant? Presentation(15 minutes) 3. Teacher shows flashcards and picture cards about food menu vocabularies. 4. Teacher pronounces food menu vocabularies, and every student repeats them after teacher. 5. Teacher shows students the structure; how to ask and answer ordering food. -Ordering food Ask and answer A: May I take your order? B: Yes, I’d like………….., please.
  • 4. Practice (15 minutes) 6. Students ask and answer about ordering food with his/her partner by role play (server and guest) Product (15 minutes) 7. Students do Worksheet A.
  • 5. Wrap up 8. Teacher and students pronounce about food menu vocabularies together. 9. Teacher instances the real food menu. 6.
