- It is a question that that asks
for specific information, and we
do not expect a yes or no as an
answer.

Who, where, when, what,
why, how, whose, which and
whom are wh-words used in
WH-Questions.

Asks for person.
Example: Who is that?
Answer: That’s Piolo Pascual

Asks for place.
Example: Where do you live?
Answer: I live in Quirino,
Isabela.

Asks for time.
Example: When do we celebrate
Christmas?
Answer: every December 25

Asks for object, idea or
action.
Example: What did you eat this
morning?
Answer: I ate egg sandwich.

Asks for reason.
Example: Why are you crying?
Answer: My cat is missing.

Asks for manner.
Example: How do you go to the
party?
Answer: I will drive my
motorcycle.

Asks for possession.
Example: Whose is this book?
Answer: That is Alan’s book.

Asks for choice.
Example: Which one do you like?
Answer: I like the red rose.

Asks for object of the
