This lesson plan teaches 6th grade students about the parts of a letter. It begins with the objective of identifying the parts of a letter. It then provides sample letters and their parts, including the heading, salutation, body, closing, and signature. Students practice identifying these parts in sample letters. They also write their own letter using the correct parts. The lesson ends with an evaluation to check student comprehension of the letter parts.

Dear Kim,
How was your semestral break? Did you get to enjoy it? Did you go on your trip
to Macau as you had hope? They say Macau is a beautiful place.
Sadly, I was not able to enjoy my vacation since I got sick. I had to stay at home
to get a nice rest. I had to drink a lot of medicine, eat vegetables and fruits the whole time. The
only time I got a chance to go out was when we had to go to the doctor for check-up. I did not
really think that I would be spending my break that way.
Even so, I am looking forward to see you soon. There is lots of news to catch up
on.
Your friend
Noelyn

Your loving cousin,
Belinda
Hello! How are you? I am excited to share the current happenings in my life. High school
life is exciting and challenging. My classmates are friendly and kind. The subjects are interesting
too. I discovered that Math and Science were easy to understand if you would only put your heart
and mind on them.
So much for that, I hope we see each other soon.
