Learner-Centred Course Design - a role for learner-centred models and frameworks. This is a presentation that Alan Masson delivered at the University of Greenwich, related to curriculum development and the Viewpoints project.
Blended Learning is being promoted as a “disruptive innovation” in education. Supporters suggest that this model has the potential to reach all learners in new exciting ways. What exactly is blended learning and how might this “look” in the middle level classroom? How can teachers begin to implement blended learning models in their classrooms? Sun West School Division shares the journey and findings of its year-long action based research project aimed at exploring the impact of blended learning on student engagement and comprehension.

Release of the 2015 report, Trends in Digital Learning: Empowering Innovative Classroom Models for Learning. This latest report from Blackboard and Project Tomorrow details how schools and districts are using new technologies to create the ultimate learning experience. Report highlights how:
Educators are using new technologies to engage students in and out of school
Blended and digital learning translate directly to student confidence and success
Students are reacting to these evolving and innovative classroom models
Presentation made by Ebba Ossiannilsson and Maria João Loureiro about blended learning models and heutagogy that will be the base of the TIBL pedagogical model

Agenda
What is blended learning?
Models of blended learning
Benefits of blended learning
Challenges of blended learning
Role of teacher in a blended classroom
Management of large class number
Towards an effective blended learning environment
Blended learning is not a new concept. Better and more affordable software solutions, like G Suite for Education, and improved internet access means more educational organisations are implementing blended learning solutions. Blended and elearning isn’t ‘good’ just because it is digital; it needs to meet student needs and learning goals.
Building Blended Learning Teacher Leaders in Your DistrictDreamBox Learning
In order to transition schools and districts to blended and personalized learning, we must develop a talented pipeline of educators who understand these approaches and can support leaders with this shift. The Fuse RI Fellowship is currently training 60 educators to be Rhode Island’s next generation of blended and personalized learning coaches, consultants, and leaders.
In this edWebinar, three leaders from the Fellowship present best practices for defining a district’s blended learning vision, identifying priority practices, and coaching early-adopter teachers. Maeve Murray, Julie Mayhew, and Rebecca Willner, share asynchronous resources that you can use to train your own coaches and collaboratively design your own rollout plans.
This recorded event is designed for K-12 educators, coaches, library media specialists, building leaders, and district administrators. Learn how to build blended learning teacher leaders in your district.
Role of both teacher and learner has been discussedmp poonia
The presentation deals with role of teacher and learner in changing scenario of education. Both teacher and learner should understand their role clearly. The teaching profession is assumed to be most noble profession among all. Reasons has been discussed why teaching is a noble profession.

Identifying and changing key curriculum design practicesJisc
Examining the process of how institutions identify and then seek to change the curriculum design processes and practices. (This session complements the main conference session on curriculum design).
Jisc conference 2011
This presentation was first delivered at the Sixth International Blended Learning Conference, as part of a joint workshop, on the 16th of June 2011. It introduces the JISC-funded Viewpoints curriculum design project, given some examples of Viewpoints outputs, and gives some conclusions.
This is the presentation that was delivered to the Viewpoints team at the first 'data day' - its aims were to show the immediate team the current stage of development and to discuss the data implications of the user interface and user choices.
Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
