Land pollution is caused by various human activities including mining, industrialization, agriculture, construction, and improper waste disposal. It leads to soil pollution which decreases fertility and contaminates crops, posing health risks. It also damages the environment through destruction of land and pollution of soil and water. Solutions include reducing waste production, recycling and reuse, using biodegradable products, proper waste disposal in dedicated dumping grounds, and organic gardening.
