Kalyan is a Sanskrit word meaning "peace". It is one of 32 melodies from the Shah-jo-risalo, a Sufi text where the author Shah Inayat praises Allah and describes His qualities. The kalyan describes Allah as the omniscient and supreme lord of the universe, the mighty creator and sustainer who is merciful and the one and only God. It says those who believe in Allah's oneness and accept Muhammad's guidance will find bliss by following God's decree and not being misled from the righteous path.
