Groups are done during Free Play in the Interest areas. These are the Changes to Interest area Based on Children’s Interests/Study:
Dramatic Play (V): Bird nest and camping
items, bird watching guides and
binoculars.
Discovery (M): Sprout & grow window to
examine growth and see parts of plants.
Seed view boxes, Magnifying glasses, and
native flowers book.
Library (K): Books about nature and birds
added to the library
Sensory table (E): cocoa pods or bird seed
Art (E): Feathers to feel and manipulate as
a brush with paint.
Table Toys (K): Farm animal/hippo
counters for patterns CM 11-2 or sorting
CS 13-1, alphabet popsicles LKS 8-2, launch
& learn alphabet SED 6-3 and animal twins
ATL 1-6
Technology (M): We will play the
Sunflower Letter smartboard game and
watch the Sandy Ridge eagle camera on
the SMART board.
Music (R/L): We will have bird songs
playing for children to dance and move to
along with bird songs played on the smart
board.
outside (M/V): Together with the children
we will weed and water the garden and
discuss the changes we see.
Blocks (R/L): The Strawberry Shortcake
village will be added to the block area.
Writing (V): Post larger alphabet on wall
to point and sing the ABCs.
Move Letters in writing area so they are all
in one line to match larger ones.

Table Toys (K): Farm animal/hippo counters for patterns CM 11-2 or sorting CS 13-1, alphabet popsicles LKS 8-2, launch & learn alphabet SED 6-3 and animal twins ATL 1-6 Technology (M): We will play the Sunflower Letter smartboard game and watch the Sandy Ridge eagle camera on the SMART board. Music (R/L): We will have bird songs playing for children to dance and move to along with bird songs played on the smart board. outside (M/V): Together with the children we will weed and water the garden and discuss the changes we see. Blocks (R/L): The Strawberry Shortcake village will be added to the block area. Writing (V): Post larger alphabet on wall to point and sing the ABCs.
