This document summarizes and compares various security algorithms that can be used in Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs). It first provides background on WBANs and discusses their use for continuous health monitoring. It then analyzes five specific WBAN security algorithms: Blowfish algorithm, Light Weight Encryption Algorithm, clustered algorithm, Elliptic Curve Cryptography algorithm, and Position-aware Body Node Coordinator Placement Algorithm. Each algorithm is described and its advantages and disadvantages are outlined. The document concludes that these algorithms can help prevent unauthorized access to sensitive patient health data transmitted over WBANs.
