This document describes a smart traffic flow management system using an ATmega 328 microcontroller. The system uses image processing of traffic captured by a camera to determine traffic density on each side of a movable road divider. The processed data is sent to the cloud and used to decide whether and how much to shift the road divider to proportionally allocate more space to the side with heavier traffic congestion. This is done by a motor controlled by the microcontroller via a motor driver. The system aims to reduce traffic congestion and travel times by dynamically adjusting the road lanes based on real-time traffic conditions analyzed through image processing.
