This document analyzes the seismic behavior of a 10-story reinforced concrete building with and without masonry infill walls through static analysis using STAAD-PRO software. Masonry infill walls are modeled using the equivalent diagonal strut method to represent their stiffness. Various response parameters like storey drift, joint displacement, base shear, and mass participation are calculated and compared for models with and without infill walls. The results show that infill walls significantly reduce storey drift, joint displacement, and time period while increasing the base shear. Infill walls thus improve the seismic performance by increasing the overall stiffness of the structure.
