This document proposes an Aadhar card-based online voting system that uses fingerprint biometrics for voter authentication. The system architecture involves voters entering their Aadhar number, checking their age and eligibility to vote, providing their fingerprint which is matched against the Aadhar database, and if matched the voter can cast their vote online. The system aims to provide more secure online voting by authenticating each voter through their unique Aadhar number and fingerprint, preventing issues like fake or duplicate voting. It could potentially help reduce problems with the current in-person voting system like proxy voting or booth capturing. The proposed system architecture and fingerprint matching module are described, and advantages of increased security and ease of online voting from anywhere are discussed.
